That is cool! I used to make trade shows yearly for business and came away with a lot of stuff, but none was nearly as good as vape stuff! -
Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

I am glad there is not one in my area! I would spend 6 months pay.... -
I have had pretty good luck going from one mod to another of the same brand/model. Like iStick 30 to iStick 30 or Cloupor Mini to Cloupor Mini. I have never had one close from one brand to another. I am finding the TC to be even further off. I have yet to find any 2 that are within 50-75 degrees of one another. I usually start at 350 and work my way up. On watts they seem to be a bit closer. Except for the iStick 20 watt and it is in a class by itself. Even similar chips don't seem to be the same, like one YiHi board to another. I gave up on uniformity a long time ago...this stuff just isn't that accurate. I know Busardo can make it work on a scope, but I can't at home. Just to add. My temp testing is on my 4 temp mods, and none are alike (Zero 60Watt clone, SnowWolf 50W, iStick 40TC, and ipvD2) I have yet to get a DNA40 or 200...

I actually purchased one myself off of the webpage. I think I had a coupon code and it wasn't too expensive. Well, after going to the webpage it is $49.99 with free shipping. I really don't think I paid nearly that much, but it was when they first came out. It is a pretty good kit, I use it for nearly every coil. I think they have a new version of the coil maker coming out sometime soon. It is larger, and has some more features, like the holes for the wire go both directions so you can coil them either direction.
-
Please try it out before you stock up! I have only used the herakales coils in the saucecode, that one works for sure. The center pin is a bit longer, but that is the only difference I can see.
-
I tried to use the Triton RBA again tonight to build a vertical coil for my SauceCode. Again, it didn't go so well. I did a good job on the coil, but I had trouble with the wicking. It is really hard to judge how much cotton to put on these vertical coils. It was a bit too loose and just flooded within a few minutes. I guess it didn't matter too much, I needed to clean my tank out anyway. I went back with my second Herkales Ni200 coil. Wow! I had no idea the flavor had dropped off so much in 2 weeks. It wasn't bad, but, the coil has much more flavor!

You know, from what I have seen all of these tanks that have compatible coils are pretty great! I have read that the Atlantis, Atlantis II, Herkales, Melo, and Triton all use compatible coils. (Please don't go and buy coils based on my statement....I have not tried it) I am running the Herakles Ni200 coils in my SauceCode and really enjoying it. The SauceCode's page says it will also use Melo coils. If they vape anything like these Herakles coils it has to be good!

I too have seen quite a few reports of it, but it never anyone I "know". I really hate that it happened to you, but now I know they just were not tall tales. I personally have had great luck with the iStick line, but I don't own a 50 watt. I am glad it didn't hurt anyone, or anything, except itself.
-
The D2 is a far superior device to the iStick40TC, but for cheap temp control it is hard to beat. Except it's simplicity will make the "normal" TC mods seem complicated. (you don't set power, only temp with the iStick) You have everything you need to try TC, except the mod, and some wire (or coils). Nickel is a pain to build with, very soft and non contact coils. It also take a lot of wraps to get .1 ohms or so. You could also pick up a pack of Ni200 SubTank Mini coils, they work great. I think they are also making TC coils for the Aero/Pro Tanks. I think after giving it a chance you would really enjoy it.

I have read mixed reviews from people who have gotten the test units. It is just rattles on the up/down button, and battery door comes off too easily. I don't understand why people are complaining so much, it is a removable 18650 box capable of 100 watts for less than $50. It sounds like a winner to me. I gave $150 for my iPV3 and it has screws on the battery....lol I guess it is just a rant, but it is hard to understand some of the reviewers lately. I saw a guy totally trash the ipvD2 because it has a round pin style charging port, and no presets like the SX mini M class. He is comparing a $200 mod to a $50 mod. I see others saying how bad the iStick 40TC is compared to the rDNA40....really? Comparing a $130 mod to a $30 mod?

Whats the best vapor i can get for under $75?

I think that is the problem with having a severe case of "shineyitus". I tend to forget about the great products like the MPV that finally got me to quit smoking! -

I agree with the Nautilus, it is more expensive, and the coils do cost quite a bit more, I just wanted to throw out the option. Here is the deal I was talking about if you don't mind a Blue or Pink iStick 50W -

jasonculp replied to JoeyForte's topic in New Vapers Forum
The iStick just supplies the power. Your tank determines everything else. If you went with the subtank Mini, it is a more advanced tank, that has the ability to use the rebuildable head, (more advanced you need to build your own coils, and use cotton), the .5 ohm coils are premade and also more advanced (uses higher VG juices, and lower nicotine, with much more airflow) and the 1.5 ohm premade coil which is closer to what you were using, but still higher output and possibly more juice usage. It would be a good step up, eventually. You know when to change the coil when it will no longer supply the flavor, or amount of vapor you are used to at the same settings. They gradually get gunked up and loose performance. It is caused by many factors, but the greatest is your juice. Some juices gunk coils quickly. The amount of power also determines how long they last too. Normally the more power you run the shorter they last. (there are many exceptions here, too many for this post) You can also let your tank run dry, or over power them and burn them up. I don't know of a kit that I really would recommend at this time. As Earthling and Tam said, the Kanger Aero tanks, Kanger Pro Tanks, Davide's, and (I will add) the Nautilus, and Nautilus Mini would make good toppers for the iStick. When you get more advanced, move up to SubTank Mini. The iStick 50 will run just about any tank you can put on it, and they are much cheaper buying the best pieces and putting them together. This type setup will work fine with the juices you have now (18 mg). Like Squid and Cany said, the SubTank mini kit is a great kit. I think it would defiantly be something to look at in the future. It does require separate batteries, but this is a plus to some of us. I carry 4 charged batteries and just swap them as needed. I charge them outside of the unit so it is never stuck to a charger. The tank is also capable of producing very large amounts of vapor, and a lot of customization (building your own coils) Just shopping around for around $100 plus shipping, you could buy 2 setups, that way you have a backup. $30 each for iSticks, $10-$20 each for tanks, $10-$15 for extra coils...I know that is a little over...lol -
If VaporDNA's page is correct, you can also use Sense Herakles, and Eleaf MELO coils. It might help someone if they get into a bind! I currently use a Project Sub-Ohm SauceCode. They don't have Ni200 coils for temp control, so I use the Sense Herkales coils and couldn't be more pleased. I am really liking this cross compatibility. It makes it handy being able to buy them from many different stores. I guess if you are looking for the ultimate cross compatibility the Morph Tank by EHPRO & Eciggity is the ultimate. It uses Atlantis, Delta II, and SubTank coils along with an RBA. I have not tried it yet. Back on topic...lol Great service and selection at Sweet-Vapes I will be picking up a Smok TFV4 Tank as soon as funds allow!

The next big thing has always been an obsession for me in the vaping world, but I am not that way in most other aspects of my life. So I totally understand what him, and many other people feel when the find something perfect for them, then it gets so hard to get.
-
I am glad you are liking it better. I hope the new Triton works out too. I want one, but it has moved to number 3 in line behind the Cthulhu and the Smok TFV4. Like I need another tank. I feel for bcartervol98. It seems like every time I find something that I like....they discontinue it. I hasn't happened with the vaping stuff, but it seems to happen throughout my life in other areas.

I would never ask him to and I hope it never comes to that. I am sure he makes some good flavors for this cake icing I am working on I really don't know what, if any restrictions will ever come, but I do feel like it is time to become self sufficient, in case I becomes difficult. -
Sorry if I misspoke Tam. It is so hard for me to recommend these newer tanks to people who prefer tighter vapes. I have tried to go back to the tighter draw, but it has not worked. In fact the original subtank mini has gotten to be too restrictive for me. These high airflow tanks are enjoyable, but getting expensive. They use higher wattage, and use much more juice. You also have to be much more descrete where you use them. My current rig (ipvD2, with a SauceCode Tank, and a Herkales coil) is not a stealth rig.

I am really interested in DIY. I just don't see myself making a hobby out of it. I am just not adventurous enough. I have tried all kinds of juice from all over the internet and every vape shop in the Panhandle and West of the DFW area. I have only found 7 juices that I can vape, and only 1 of those can I stand for more than just a few minutes. I am very strange. The only juice I like have many different flavors. I can never tell you what any of them taste like. I know my ADV has like 15 different fruit flavors or something like that. I have never been able to vape single flavors at all with the exception of coffee. I only found 2 coffee flavors I like. I have very little faith in me being able to make anything I like. I do want to try to come up with enough stuff in the event the government makes it impossible to vape. If Texas goes the way of Arkansas, I will be in trouble. There are some local shops, but none have anything I like. I tried my old ADV from before I got mine from Comp, and it tasted terrible to me. -

I have it bad. There is 2 tanks I want really bad, in fact I have put them in my cart and taken them back out multiple times today. I don't need them. I also have a list of DIY stuff I have been thinking about buying. I really don't want to make my own juice, but I want to be ready in case I have to. Everything together would be close to $170 plus shipping. I really don't have that much left in the vape budget for the month. In fact if I just order the juice I want I will be at the end of my budget and it is only the 12th...lol -
I think it is a great tank, but you may not like the airflow. I don't know if you can squeeze it down to the same as your Davides. I don't know for sure. I do know that I have heard a lot of complaints from people who prefer a tighter draw. I don't think Tam liked hers.

Wow! That should hold you for a while. I really like the looks of that mod, and really like the tank. I am just hung up on the Temp Control. I tend to find out exactly what i like, then go buy the next new thing that comes out. It is a bad habit, but a fun hobby. I was looking at my shelf a while ago and I have 7 mods and 7 atty's that I don't use very often, my daily rig, and my backup rig, and 3 mods that are disassembled. It may have grown from a hobby into an obsession. -
What did I learn about vaping today......

Well to me the 120ml bottles are just like the gas tank in my impala. The first half takes weeks to use, but the last half is gone in a day...lol -

You can't go by my posts, I'm a nerd....lol In my opinion it is best vape experience to date. There are a few kinks, but overall it is a great experience. I have even been tempted to order a protank mini and try the new kanger Ni200 coils for them. I have tried the Nautilus and it is good. It is getting simple enough I would feel comfortable recomending an iStick 40W TC with either the protank mini or Nautilus, or possibly the SubTank mini to a newbie. I have a buddy who moved up from cigalikes to an Evic VT Kit and he is loving it, but he is a nerd like me....lol -

Not at all! I will never accuse you of being slow. I order it one day (possibly after midnight) and it is in the mail the next morning. Do you sleep? Being a parts person and salesman the old quote "Poor planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on our part" comes to mind! I am defiantly guilty of poor planning. I think I am going to order some more next week, so this won't happen again....at least until I get lazy and forget to order....lol
