A Battery Charging,Testing, and Storing Holder
jasonculp replied to Sonar505's topic in Batteries and Chargers
I like it! I am very jealous. I have been designing something like that, that holds my tanks mods, batteries, and has a build station. By the time I get everything I want on there it is bigger than my desk, and would cost a couple grand...so I just keep everything scattered...lol -
Second Samsung 25R down in as many months
jasonculp replied to Earthling789's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I have had that happen with a Efest, but not a Samsung...yet. I still feel like it is one of the best batteries for the money, but it sure makes you scratch your head. I have 6 different (3 pairs) of LG's coming in later this week, just because I want to try them out. I personally think if I buy any more 25R's they will have to be the green ones (R5), becuse they are the latest ones made and they are supposed to have more longevity (cycles). Here is the cheapest place I have found: ILLUMN Sorry for your loss.... -
Me too!

I wish I could get the legs of the coil looking as good as yours! I just don't have the patients. Looks good!

I just made a Twisted 28G, 3mm, 9/10 wrap, .111 ohm coil to put in the TVF4 and have to say, I am impressed. It really has not broken in yet, but the flavor is great at 475F and 40J. I think the approximately 80VG/20PG is going to wick fine with the huge channels. I am using 8mg/ml nicotine, but this may be a bit much for me personally.

Bump when you get something in vape mail.

I do like the tank, I just don't think it is an all day, everyday tank for me. I didn't care the Ti 01 build I did on the RBA, I may go back and try to build a Ni200 build. I am really looking for a good 35 - 40 watt (joule) tank, with a single coil and good airflow. I think this tank, even with the single coil RBA is designed for much higher wattage, but without more testing, I can't be for sure. -

Thanks! I have had mine sitting on the old ipv3 with the triple coil. It makes my other subtanks seem like plastic clearomizers. I ran it up to 150watts and it still keeps up. I can't, but the tank can do it. (with 50/50 juice). I love the experience from the drip tip. It is so unique. At the high wattages with the airflow open on the drip tip, it doesn't just cool down the vape, it encapsulates it. It is definitely a totally different type of tank than any other i have used. I don't think it is the perfect tank for me, but I am glad I bought it. It out performs most of my drippers with the triple coil. -
I just retyped the whole post, and tried it again. It just goes back to the Create new Topic page, and all of the fields are empty, and the url at the top is HTTPS. In fact it is the same address as the one on screenshot above. I would be happy to help figure out the problem, just let me know.

There is nothing too fancy, about it, but my favorite is the Velocity (I have the clone) It has a deep well, and great airflow, and is the easiest to build RDA that I have.

I will try it again. I guess it could be too long. I do have a popup blocker (Ad blocker plus) but it is disabled on the Vaportalk domain. I will turn it off and try again.

I am using Firefox 40.0.3 on Windows 7. The first time I typed it into the the editor, and the rest I have been pasting it. The first try I typed into the editor, posted it. It took me back to the Create New Topic page and everything is empty. Second try I typed it into the editor, hit CTRL C, posted it. It took me again back to the Create New Topic page and everything was empty. Pasted it back into the editor, filled in the Topic, hit post and it gave me a 404 error. I then shortened it and removed all but one of the links, and the quoted material getting it down to less than 500 words. It still will not go. You just hit the post button and it returns you to the same page but it is blank. I think the board is telling me I talk to much and nobody wants to read my techno babble....lol

I have shortened the post that I am trying to post in Variable Voltage Mod forum and it will not post, no matter how short I make it, or how I format it. I am really posting this here just to see if I can post at all! I guess I can....lol

Sometimes when I post....
jasonculp replied to Earthling789's topic in Website Feedback & Bug Reporting
I am having trouble with this too. The first time, I didn't CTRL C, the second time I did. Both times it just returns to the Post New topic page, with the Subject and Body empty. The labels above them are red, like you tried to submit it with the field empty. I pasted the post back into the correct spots and it went to a 404 page. I pasted it into a Word Document, but not back to the board. It is a long post 1011 words, and it contains a large quote (using the " button above) not the button on someone else's post. I hope this helps! -
What did I learn about vaping today......
jasonculp replied to cany's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I learned...You have to be careful when applying Ohm's law to the atomizer of a regulated device to calculate battery draw. It does not work like a mechanical mod. The ohms of your atomizer has nothing to do with the amount of amps drawn from your battery in wattage mode. I have always thought it worked different than it did on a mechanical, but never knew how to calculate it. Here is the formula: Wattage / Battery Voltage X 1.1 (for a 90% efficient board) So at 50 watts @ 4.2V we would see a draw of 13 Amps, but at 3.2V it would be 17 Amps. I will start a thread about this in Variable Voltage Mod Forum. No I won't...just typed a whole post...and it dissapeared... forget it! Here is a good calculator if you would like to use it: Steam Engine Battery Drain -
That is the problem... We have been so poor the last few years and not ranked much better this year (#8 in the Big12 which only is 10 teams now). We have had 7 Defensive Coordinators in 7 years.... The bikini bottom just gave me something to smile at.

Great question, but, it will change within a few months for me (I hope). For now: ipvD2Project Sub Ohm SauceCodeHerakels Ni200 coilSamsung INR18650-25RIt isn't the perfect setup though. RBA sucks on this one, I have messed up 2. I'm currently testing the TFV4 tank to replace the SauceCode, but it isn't looking like it will be the one. I am holding out for hope the ChutluV2.

It would be nice if you could find a small quantity just to try!

There are so many wires out now, I can't keep them straight. There is the SS stuff, I, like you, would stick to surgical grade (personally) Kanthal, Nichrome (various grades)...etc Now with Temp control, especially with the DNA200, and the mods that will allow you to adjust the coefficient of resistance, it has really opened the door to many other types of wire. SS317L is being tested, along with Titanium grade 1, Ni 200, Resistherm (NiFe30). I have only used Nichrome, Kanthal, Ni200 and Ti01. So far the only ones I like the flavor of is Kanthal, and Ni200.

I don't know if you remember, but GPlat wire was all the rage with cloud chasers. It didn't take long until someone had it tested by a metallurgist and it turned out to be 317L/316L stainless welding wire...

The only similarity I can see is the Triton, and Melo use very similar coil design, much like the Herakles, but other thank that..I don't have a clue!
-
What other subtanks are you running? My saucecode gets pretty warm with the Herakles coil at 35J if I chain vape.

I have my ipv3 set on 150w and this stupid triple coil is doing fine, I can't handle it, but the tank can. It is 50/50 juice though. -

I think I am going to have to get a bigger mod, and lower nicotine juice for this thing! I honestly don't know if I am man enough to use it. I have been reading of people running them near 100 watts all day.
