  1. That looks like a Tobh RDA, isn't it? I am holding a Plume Veil in my hand and that is not it, not in the picture anyway. Googling Adversary mechanical mod does say it is a Nemesis clone but the logo is correct, comes in SS and copper too.
  2. Yeah, I am no expert either when it comes to mech mods or electric either. Anything I have learned about ohms law, I learned only because of vaping, which is very recently. I am just hazarding a guess that if materials used affect electrical conductivity, then maybe it has something to do with voltage drops considering OP said the threads are all clean, so it is not a factor. My Nemesis clone was under $20 too, and getting after markets parts for half of what it cost me did not make sense to me since I could get another one. I do have an old Colt 1911 that I wanted to have nickel plated for so long but did not want to pay for what hey were charging me. Maybe I'll get around to it since I just found out how easy it is to do, and may just do some of my mod parts as well just for fun.
  3. I have both SS Nemi and Copper Manhattan, and have not experienced any tingling sensation when using nemi. Now, I experienced tingling sensation when I chain vape though, haha Joking aside, I think the difference in voltage drop is with silver plated and copper contacts? I am seeing early signs of wear on the nemi contacts and thought of lapping it ( up to 2000 grit), but that would leave me with brass contacts. I though about copper plating it myself but I do not have the time to do it, but I think it would be cool to try. Vid tut on copper plating But I may end up buying after market pure copper nemi contacts. I think they go for $10.
  4. Visual aid. It does look silly, and I can only imagine what an over zealous TSA would react seeing someone stealthily pulls it from their pocket and fiddle with the locking ring at the airport. lol If it is strictly for home use, it is not bad but can be cumbersome to hold Performance wise, I do not know. There aren't 22mm Cerebus RDA to compare it with (at least none that I know of yet). But I would assume it would be the same? The battery sleeve earthling suggested is not a bad idea. IIRC, there might be a few 22650 mods that come with the adapter. I am not 100% sure, as I am not actively searching for 22650 mods just yet.
  5. On normal days, I usually don't. I just carry 2 mods with me since I have short drive to work. On longer commute on weekends, I use Kanger tanks, or if wife is along, she's my designated dripper or I let her drive. haha I am not too crazy about buying more batteries than I have too, either... and if Magma ever do come out with a bigger version, I will be all over it too. I do not have sausage fingers or anything, but with wider RDA's, it's that much easier to build.
  6. I have a Cerebus and it looks like a potato masher grenade paired with 22 mods. Not so bad on 24.5mm mod though, but still waiting on 26550 mod that grabs my attention, so it does not get ridiculously looking. I actually use RDA even when out and about, so this one stays at home or office only. It is very easy to coil being roomy and all.
  7. If Enigma is your first preference, check out Origen V2., aesthetically they are similar. Can't go wrong with a TOBH. For alternatives not on your list check out magma. I liked it so much I bought another one. Vulcan is another great RDA but wait for the clone, and if it performs on par with the original.
  8. https://www.kohgendocosmetics.com/Cotton_60pads.asp?catID=16 KGD themselves are out of stock. Looks ebay is the only place you can get them for awhile
  9. I meant bakery flavors do well with warmer vape, and at .5 seems to be the sweet spot for me on bakery flavors. Sorry for the confusion. I got Vulcan RDA by VLS today. They are dropping the price since the clones are rolling out soon. I guess they do not want to get stuck with a large inventory. I still like the magma better but I only did a quick .8 dual build on the vulcan - tighter air draw, does not produce a lot of vapor, and a toss up on flavor between magma and vulcan. Then again, I have yet to play with it long enough to draw a more objective comparison. It is sexy as hell though.
  10. I am trying out different coil builds too. Currently at .5. It is a little warm than I am used to with .8 but it actually taste great with bakery flavors. I could get used to that. Anyone getting better flavor when coil sits higher above the airhole... like flush to the top of the posts or just a tad above it?
  11. I know! I think I may now have a problem. lol My S.O. was giving me dagger looks when a couple more packages arrived yesterday. It went like this: Her: You got more stuff? Do you really need all that stuff. Me: Sweetie, I like your new pumps... compliments your calves really well. Are those new? They look expensive. Her: It was on sale!! Me: So are these. My research on vape gear did not go that far back. lol For us newbies, it is a generation away. Man that HH.357 are bit pricey (for me at least), but justified since it US made. Thanks for expanding my knowledge. I know right. When I calculated what I am saving this year from analogs and going back all the years I puffed stinkies, It hit me. I could have bought a decent mid-sized car, maybe an entry level luxury car even.
  12. I stand corrected. HH.357 and other cartos are the OG drippers. I am actually intrigued with HH357 now that I watched the video... someday maybe.
  13. Thanks for PSA, and glad you caught it early.
  14. Unfortunately, they are chud. But it is not hard as it seems. It does require lots of reading at the beginning. I went through the same progression like you are going through now, and stuck with kanger tanks on mech mods while researched batteries, ohm's law and watched lots of video tutorial on coil building and wicking until such a time that I felt confident enough to do it. I am still learning and I just do basic dual coils... no fancy coild builds for me yet. Just to add to what earthling said above, go for IMR Li-ion batteries, and it does not hurt to get ohm/volt meter. It's handy to have even with kanger tanks
  15. Nice choices, earthling. I am looking at a couple of copper mods myself and have added XXIX to my short-list. I was looking at Cartel and Signum but I like the looks of XXIX
  16. It's great to have friends around on times like these. I am glad he/she found what the problem was, and hopefully the store that you got it from can get you a replacement.
  17. I have not tried nichrome so I have no basis for comparison. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/iIu9coIWxX4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  18. I revisited congrevape just now. First time I checked it out I closed it right away after seeing figures around 2K and beyond without reading everything. I will end up divorced in no time. haha But I get it now, it is crowd funding and contributors gets first dibs. I like that. I am not into competition cloud chasing though, or chasing anything for that matter. lol I have the site saved though and will check out other projects I might like. Thanks, mtdobies.
  19. Vaping gear is so diverse which is good but could be overwhelming for someone new who wants to ditch analogs and try vaping instead. There is something for everyone, otherwise everyone would be on ciggalikes, and we all know that does not work for everyone. For those who have found the right gear based on their needs and goals early, that is absolutely awesome. Others have to go through a series of progression to find theirs. Noobs by definition are inexperienced , and the transition is either through meticulous research or by asking around which is what vape forums are for - support base for vapers of all types without prejudice. In other forums, I noticed some very experienced vapers who are elitist - anyone not sub-ohming or cloud chasing are beneath them, and anyone asking for help gets ridiculed instead of helping them or pointing them to the right direction (granted others don't take take the time to research basic stuff so that may be too tiring for them to do) which imo is just as bad because it will just drive others to go their own without the right equipment and know-how. Then you have very passionate brand loyalist that if someone mentions something they do not like about "their" brand, the thread immediately gets ugly and childish. All that passion is better directed towards FDA instead Back on topic, I have yet to find the right flavor for me that goes well with beer or social drinking. I do not crave analogs that much when drinking but I do chain vape whenever I drink.... and when on occasions that I drink enough, flavors do not matter anymore. haha
  20. Thanks for sharing, iheartvape! It turned out really great.
  21. I had cloupor and hana (v2 and V3) DNA 30 mods and ditched them for Dovpo E-mech 30. It is a late entry in the 30W boxes but I found them to be much more reliable, and menu interface much better. Aesthetic side is not for everybody though.
  22. I don't have a lot of DT to compare, but the few that I have don't fit very well with magma except for one. Others have reported DT wobble with magma clones, maybe a bigger o-ring would solve it. I have a bunch of DTs inbound to try out. It should be here in a week.. I'll PM you which ones fit well, if they do. I do prefer cooler vape also and gravitate towards long DTs with magma. Warm vape ruins the flavor for me, but I suppose that can be subjective. My Kanger AT driptip falls out of the magma...
  23. No kidding about the flavor. Magma is pure evilness. Wicked I tell you. I used to go through 15ml/week. Now I do that in a day just because of the flavor I am getting. All my kanger tanks are collecting dust. haha I tried as low as .4 but I find the vape a little to warm for my taste. Maybe I just need to get used to it since dripping is all new to me. I am eyeing the 454 big block, but it is a little up there in price range I am willing to spend. Maybe for the holidays I might consider it
