  1. Ahh, something to tinker with this Labor Day weekend. Be warned, you'll forget all about your other toppers. lol
  2. If I were in the market for a DNA 200 or 350J mod, I would go for the Cloudmaker Whiteout. Same price point but modular platform design. Their open source Whiteout OS is interesting too. But as Jason pointed out, D2 for $50 is hard to beat. Snow Wolf 200 is not bad either, I saw one for $79 and it is tempting.
  3. Thanks for sharing. Thorny Strapple and Strawberry Custard results... along with 10 other new results listed on their blog.
  4. totally agree with you. when i switched to vaping, i had no idea what diketone was, let alone what it may or may not do to my health down the road. in the beginning though, i was just so happy to finally get off analogs for good, and probably did not matter. it wasn't until several months later that i found out about diketones, and changed my POV on the matter. maybe if the industry is serious about self-regulation, they would put diketone warning on their bottles, and how much it contains, if any. i doubt that is going to happen any time soon. huge juice companies are in it for your wallet, not your well-being, and scaring potential customers are not in their best interest.
  5. It is reassuring that some are held responsible for their dishonesty. I would like to see more of it though.
  6. I like the fact that Nicoticket and other juice vendors publish their test results. Transparency is tantamount to industry self-regulation. Leave it up to the consumer to decide the level of exposure they feel safe whether it is diketone free or not. I used to vape one of the more popular brands, averaging 30-45 ml / month, sometimes more around holidays and when on vacation. I know they had diketones but did not realize how much. Had I known, I would have reserved vaping their line sparingly. Others don't even care at all with diketones... but that's their thing. There are arguments that diketones in juice show no evidence in pulmonary related diseases associated with vaping. That may be true, but way too early to tell. All I know is, my father smoked for 30+ years, and was diagnosed with COPD 16 years after he had quit smoking. That's 46 years... vaping is how old? What the vaping industry needs is a trade association that is on the consumer side, responsible for testing of it's members' product line. I like what ECTA is doing for it's members and their consumers. Of course, there should also be an industry standard of testing. There are diufferent testing methodology and some claim their's is better and more accurate than the other. Who knows, really.
  7. illumn.com sells self-adhesive terminal protectors for 1.50, and PVC wraps for about a buck. I just re-wrapped some of my cells last weekend. Glad you are okay, cany. A hissing battery would scare me too.
  8. Burning Tab Master is the original that is going for over 200USD
  9. Glad you pinpointed what is causing your difficulty in breathing. Congrats on being analog free for 4 months.
  10. USA ohm meter is great. I have one of their most basic one but their 3D Fire Meter is a much better platform for coil building. Coil Master is another alternative I am considering.
  11. Did you lock your resistance at room temp beforehand (press "+" and "-" at the same time)? Had to ask in case you have not done so. Getting a solid contact is key in my experience, and I have wasted a quarter of my Ni spool with trial and error. I can have 2 identical builds (spacing, ohm, diameter, etc) but get different results when I do not have a solid contact. I found best result when the leads are wrapped around screw before tightening it. Whereas in just trapping one side, it is a hit and miss for me. Hang in there man and keep at it.
  12. Considering you are now vaping unflavored, switched your PG/VG ratio, and vape around 14W, it could really be anything which is the nature of vaping. The body keeps changing after quitting analogs and ejuice preferences change accordingly. It really is trial and error...and process of elimination. What happens when you go back to your previous set-up... not chain vape (reference to your OP)? Same results? FWIW, there is an improvement. Whereas before it takes you an hour to recover, it now only takes 15 minutes. I wish I could help more but your guess is just as good as mine. If you experience pesistent shortness of breath despite playing with wattage, equipment, juice ratio, I highly recommend seeking a medical advise. Not able to breathe for a few minutes to an hour or so is not something to take lightly. But since vaping is what triggers it, the doctor probably would automaticcaly recommend you to stop vaping (temporarily), or cut down drastically.
  13. It's not an app (wish they have one), I use Vape Crawler site to look for best prices on hardware.
  14. That's nifty! With that many compatible coils, one can take advantage of sale and stock up.
  15. There are vapers who have reported shortness of breath or describe their lungs feeling full (reduced lung capacity). This is associated with VG use. It may be possible you have developed sensitivity to it, using more juice than you normally do, or using higher VG content. I experience it sometimes when I vape more than my normal consumption but goes away within a couple of days after cutting back
  16. I tried rebuilding KPT heads but I just could not. Too small for me to work with and I refuse to wear loupe glasses to see what I am doing. lol I bought replacement heads in bulk too. Those places that used to sell them only sell 5-packs nowadays, but I have not really been looking for them lately so other might still be selling them in bulk. I found a stash of them awhile back and gave to my sister-in-law. She use them in STM I gave her and turned the mini into an improved Aerotank mega. I found out a while back that you could use those coils in STM after seeing this Video. It works and she is happy with it.
  17. IIRC, comp sells(or sold in the past) custom KP coils which lasts longer than factory stock? That may be the way to go if older factory KP coils are hard to come by, and more expensive to source if you do find them. NM, BC was looking for Aspire coils got confused with Evods and KPTs. My bad.
  18. Same here. I only use PG that comes in flavorings, and add 2% distilled water or saline solution (makes some flavor pop) to VG. Over time, I became sensitive to PG. It irritates my throat and most time leaving me hoarse. I am the same way. I tried many retail juices and only found a few that I really want. I tried juice testing in B&M's but do not like the crowd, and maybe it is the guy in me. lol I do not go to Baskin Robbins and try all their flavors before buying one. I just pick what I think I like and if I end up not liking it, then it's my bad. I want my shopping experience very quick. That is why I went with DIY. If I screw up my mix (which I have), it is only a fraction of the cost compared to getting one retail. I started with real simple flavors before layering 2 or more flavors. I just went with recipes found online and then made it my own with a little tweaking to my liking. I still buy premium juice but reserve my purchases around the holidays for discounts. What I save in DIY goes to hardware, and spare parts.
  19. Can you guys imagine if oxygen bars started around 15 years or so ago in Cali have taken off like Starbucks? lol
  20. Congrats on getting one after so long. Something to look forward to.
  21. Calling 24 oz venti, and coffee servers barista justifies $9 ( with Bebop's 4 extra shots).
  22. ^^ You are absolutely correct. That link only showed one instance and it could be attributed to a bad batch, improper storage prior to OP receiving it, or even fake. But Efest from the past have been over optimistic with their labeling. Personally, I treat all cells as 20A CDR (less than 65W and no lower than .3 ohm on single cell mods),unless I am positive that I have genuine VTC4 on hand which AFAIK are the only true 30A CDR cells around. But I suppose I am overly cautious.
  23. It is hard to find authentic Velocity so I opted for Tobecco clone while waiting for the original to pop up. It is very easy to build TC coils on it with their simple but innovative dual-post design. It is very airy though. I will be re-visiting them this weekend as I am waiting for replacement post screws. The hex screw heads strips very easily. Marquis is a much different RDA though. It is more restrictive draw - perfect for mouth-to-lung pulls similar to magma or ology rdas.
  24. I was running same temp but 50J, and taking 8s drags.
  25. I am not as OG as some of y'all.... and that is what I started with. Just to add, I think it is device specific more so than pure resistance. I have had 1,8 Ohm KPT2 coils left over and I saw a youtube video showing than you can use it for kanger subtank in a pinch so I tried it. While both stock coils have the same resistance, they are not equal.
