  1. I only use sony vtc5 in mech mods. Mainly because that's the biggest safety concern and they aren't that expensive. When you shop around you can usually find pairs for $20. Totally worth it. They'll do really low sub ohm builds and no issues with getting hot and venting. For my VV/VW devices I like the efest button top 18650 batteries. I get days of use on a full charge. At least 2 days of heavy use. The only reason I don't care for the efest purple 35A 18650 is because they are just rewrapped batteries from other manufacturers. Mostly sony vtc4 or LG batteries. Those companies don't rate them at 35A continuous so it's really Efest doing that on their own and I can't see why other than the fact the competiton rates their's at 30A continuous and 35A sounds like it must be better. In truth if you look at all the unbiased battery test data out on the web for top mech mod batteries nothing really pulses higher and runs higher amps continuous than the vtc5.
  2. If you want to really cloud chase I think you'll have to eventually get a top cap drilled out with large extra air holes. Patriot, Tobh, and IGO W are all options I'd say for that. If you want a good quality rda with good stock airflow and easy to build on I suggest the zenith v2. I love mine and the allen head posts provide the best connections I've ever used. They tighten down and stay tight no matter what. Never had issues with one backing out and they give a superior connection to every rda I own. The post holes are like large slits so parallel and twisted wire builds are pretty easy to fit. Down to dual 24g or single wire 22g I'd say. I stick to twisted 28g or dual 26g on mine usually. Gplat wire goes really low for resistance so I don't ever need more than that for dual coil builds. When you run the airflow wide open it's pretty good and I get great clouds. I build down to about .2 on mine without it getting hot. If you're looking to go lower than that you'll need more than stock airflow and you'll have to get replacement top caps or drill out the stock holes and do extras on some other rda. The IGO W is cheap and a good starter I think. A few places will even drill out the top cap when you order and you can buy replacement top caps that someone has drilled out to be for cloud chasing. You'll just have to run it with no drip tip or a really wide bore one maybe drilled out as well.
  3. That was an awesome review video. Thanks for posting. I eventually would have seen it I subscribe to his channel but had no idea it was posted or he was working on that comparison. I'm not surprised at all with his results it's pretty much exactly what I've found for myself using those three. Never tried the hemp wicks but I wouldn't pay that much and I figured they would give a slightly woody pulp taste anyway like he found. One thing that he touched on that I completely forgot about with the rayon cellucotton is how easy is it to change juice using the same wick. It does burn out cleaner and more thoroughly than any of the others. Regular organic really seems to just pool the juice and not wick as well and hold that flavor in between changes. The one thing he didn't factor in at the end that I thought he would is price. I wouldn't say the japanese cotton squares are really expensive but when you compare getting 500 ft of rayon for half the cost of one box of japanese cotton squares it might be a factor for some. Was really interesting how much better the japanese and rayon wicked. I had noticed it with the parallel fibers but to see them side by side and how much better they do compared to the tangled mess that sometimes you get in regular organic cotton balls it really shows how much easier it works. I'm already using the japanese squares about 75% of the time but I think I'll go back to the rayon cellucotton a little more and see if I really do enjoy it as much. I know I like it for kayfuns and russians which is what he was using. For those rebuildable tanks to me it's overall better than everything else. It takes much less material to do a better job and I can get max VG juice to wick like a 50/50 juice does with regular cotton which is a big difference in performance.
  4. After not enjoying mother's milk I tried their madrina which was a melon and cream and I like that better. Still not great for me I think I'm just not a fruit and cream person. I like one or the other. I did hear that cuttwood's unicorn milk was a much better version of mother's milk and was like strawberry nesquik so I got a couple 15ml bottles and I do enjoy it much better. It really does taste like strawberry milk. Still not something I can vape on all day everyday but I like it. I've been a big fan of the stuff from organliq. They do max vg that is organic vg and natural flavors. The watermelon is awesome. Kind of pricey but most of the good ones are. I'll have to check that site out. I have two places I get really cheap stuff from for my clearo tanks but nothing really for cheaper dripping stuff. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the stuff from vapethedragon.com If not, more for me lol.
  5. I haven't noticed that but there are a few types of the japanese cotton and I'm not sure which you have. I've heard not all are great for wicks. The koh gen do or something close to that I think is what most are using but it's harder to find now that vapers are trying to buy it all up. I was told that another good one is shisheido or something close to that and that's what I got. It's pretty good for me. I think sometimes different juice just tastes better with certain types of wicks. If I am using the japanese and it's not great for that juice I'll try regular organic cotton or cellucotton. Usually regular organic is always pretty good but for me it's doesn't always wick the best. Usually the worst. The parallel fibers of the japanese and cellucotton just do better at that. Sometimes a juice for me will taste exactly the same in all three. Sometimes the cellucotton just tastes a little off with a specific juice. It's mainly trial and error for me. All work fine and taste good but there are subtle differences. I think the japanese cotton and regular organic work better for low subohm builds. The cellucotton works better in tanks like the kayfun or russian 91% as long as you use less of it than you normally do with organic cotton. It doesn't take as much and starts to taste off if you overstuff your coil or device.
  6. I might have to try that one sometime too. If it's the same chocolate that is in the other one and it's not overly minty it might be really delicious. I do like mint chocolate ice cream every once in a while so perhaps it's worth a shot for me to try. $10 for 15ml isn't bad at all. For the quality I got I felt it was very fair. I've wasted a lot more on stuff that just has name recognition and ended up not liking it. Like suicide bunny mother's milk. I tried one the other day that was called crft I think is the company. Was supposed to be lime cola flavored. I thought hey that sounds good. They failed to mention it was menthol so now I have some nasty menthol lime cola that cost $22 for 30ml.
  7. Yeah that's true. The 120ml will probably last me a while though. I don't really vape anything for more than a day or two at a time but it's very tempting with that big bottle to make this the one that I always have ready to drip. It's so much flavor but very subtle. I don't get tired of it at all. I still want to try some of his other flavors. I tried the Double D's honeydew and apple and it was good I think I just prefer the straight honeydew like uncle junk's and organliq do. I also tried the 8th wonder of the world which is a tropical fruit blend. It was very good. Kind of like mango, cocunut, and pineapple. A lot of different flavors in there that go really well together. The mint chocolate chip sounds good but mint is not my thing. The one that says it goes good with beer is interesting it's peach and pear I think. The gatsby one might be good too. I think it's leechee, pomegranate, and green tea. He's a good guy I'm glad he told me to give him a shot on facebook. He made a loyal customer out of me. The little 15ml bottles have good looking labels and dripper tops too. The 120ml is just unlabeled with a screw cap but it's the brown glass bottle. It will come in handy if I ever decide to mix my own juice.
  8. No problem. I think they sell the 15ml for $10.00 and the dripper version is one of the options in the drop down menu. If you want the 120ml you can send a message to him via the contact part of the page like I did. Just ask if you can get a 120ml of the dripper version and what nicotine you want. I think they do a 3mg or 6mg in the dripper version. He'll probably ask for an email that he can send you a paypal invoice to and that's how I paid. Was like $48 with shipping and I got it in a few days. Just don't buy it all up it's good to share lol.
  9. Both of those juices are very good but that chocolate covered strawberry is ridiculous yummy. The guy who makes it suggested their honey dew flavor to me on facebook and I tried that and the let's get it on in the max vg dripper versions. The honey dew one and the mixed tropical fruit one were good but it was the chocolate covered strawberry that blew me away. It's not that artificial candy type strawberry flavor it's the actual natural flavor that tastes like fresh strawberries you get at the store. Hard to explain it until you take that first vape. It's just delicious and the chocolate is perfect. It really truly tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry. I like it so much I emailed him and asked when more would be in stock. He got back to me the next day and said more was just made and I had asked about more than a 15ml bottle. He said it wasn't on the website currently but could sell me a giant 120ml bottle for like $45 plus shipping. I was so happy hearing that. Ordered 120ml right away. Got it two days later and shook it up and let it steep a little bit. Just kept cracking the top and smelling it for a week or two. Finally I couldn't wait anymore and so I pulled out about 5ml last night into a dripper bottle and went crazy with it.

    New coil

Never wrapped uneven coils but I did do something stupid that I never thought I would. I saw a few people on a facebook group I used to belong to that forgot to put the top cap on their rda and raised it while firing to take a vape. Hot coil to lips is not good. I laughed at them quietly and thought that would never happen to me. Last week it did. I was spaced out and just raised it to my lips while I was watching a movie and forgot I had it off to soak the wicks. Hurt like hell for a second but it was only one of the coils and very small. It just kind of lightly scabbed over by the next day and peeled off. I felt very stupid though.
  11. That picture kind of skews how it really is. Once I looked at it that makes the tank look a lot bigger than the spinner battery but it's not really. It's not the smallest of tanks but it's a good bit smaller than the original. 2ml instead of 5ml on the tank should tell you. I think the beauty ring is just standard. Goes over the ego threading to hide that gap. Same ring that my protank2 and regular nautilus came with. My only complaint so far on the mini is it's harder to fill than the big version. The middle part goes down deeper into the tank when you have the base unscrewed and are filling it. So you can't really get that full 2ml fill without spilling over that. More like 1.5ml and since it's sunken in deeper the bigger nipples on juice bottles like you would get from mount baker vapor don't really fit in between that middle post and side of the tank. You have to tilt it and let it flow down the side of the tank. Not really a big deal but the big version is easier to fill to capacity. I do like the airflow control better on the mini. Overall the improvements and size difference is very nice. The new performance on the vertical single coil is awesome. Glad I ordered another one of these tanks for my vamo v3 and 4 packs of coils. I'm giving my protank2 and aspire bdc tank to a friend.
  12. I didn't think it would look great on my vision spinner 2 but it actually really does. Not much bigger than the battery at all. With the beauty ring it looks very flush and nice. Performs great. Worth every penny. Put the spare coil that came in the box inside my big nautilus tank and it's a big improvement. Taste is a little better, absolutely pure draw no hint of a gurgle, and the vapor production is a good 35-50% better. Plus it easily handles higher watts. Probably just the fact it's a single coil now instead of dual and it's probably thicker gauge. I usually ran my vamo v5 and nautlus at 9 watts but now I've bumped it up to 11 and it could easily go up to the max of 15. I like it at 11 though for now.
  13. vapethedragon.com and their "let's get it on" a chocolate covered strawberry max vg 3mg juice in my brass monkee and v3tronix flip mod setup. Celtic triple twisted 28g kanthal at .17 ohms and japanese cotton. Also juggz juice "sweet assets" lemon custard 3mg juice in my zenith v2 anarchist mod setup with a 26g gplat dual coil build at about .27 ohms with japanese cotton.

    New coil

I rewick pretty much daily. Whenever I'm changing juice at least and very rarely do I just keep the same wick with another juice but if I'm going from one melon blend to another company's melon blend I might not bother if the wick is still clean and is a good wick job. Coils it just depends. If I like the build at least a week or two maybe more. Depends on wire too. If I use gplat I don't worry about it and go a month or so if it's working good. If it's single strand kanthal maybe two weeks tops. Maybe 3 weeks if it's twisted kanthal. I dry burn them clean each time I rewick and I also rinse them about once a week or more so it's never an issue of needing to change them. I just do when I want to build and when I want to try another setup or resistance.
  15. I've got the big aspire nautilus. Great clearomizer and I can't wait to get in the mini coils so I can put one in it. I have two of the mini tanks on preorder and about 4 of the packs of coils. I'm going to use the new coils in the regular aspire tank on my vamo v5. One of the mini tanks on my old vamo v3 that I didn't have any use for until now. The other mini tank I'll hopefully be able to use with my vision spinner 2 although it will look a little awkward and top heavy. Should perform great if I turn it up to 4.3v
  16. Couple builds I did this evening. Been a while with the .20 gplat cloud chasing builds so I dropped those and went with a dual macro clapton build in the brass monkee rda and flip mod at .55 and a dual macro tiger coil build at .35 in the zenith v2 rda on anarchist mod. Should both be great flavor builds.
  17. Really depends on wicking style you use sometimes to notice an advantage. With U wicks or anything that needs to draw from the well up to the coil you should notice the cellucotton draws it up better. It's all single parallel fibers. Sometimes you can get that going with organic cotton balls if you unroll them and pinch off a piece right but some people just twist a piece and stuff it under without much concern and for that type of wicking you'll see the advantage of cellucotton. I still use both. I actually am using japanese cotton patches more than anything. It's just so easy to cut to size and holds juice better than regular organic or the cellucotton. Soaks up so much better and then wicks evenly. I don't get that dry area around the coil with a still soaked bottom.
  18. I've got one on preorder. Should ship late next week. The best thing about these is that the new coils are compatible with the regular aspire nautilus so I will probably use the two coils that come with the mini and use one in my regular nautilus until I can buy a few packs of replacements. I love the regular coils but these sound way better with more flavor and vapor. Plus I can crank up the vamo to 11+ watts no problem on these new coils. I'll probably use the mini tank on my darkstar 30 box mod once it's finished. Grimm green just put out a review video on this tank the other day. He was more impressed than ever.
  19. Yeah rewrapping a battery is not uncommon. I said Samsung and actually it's LG anyway. People have unwrapped them and most are either sony vtc4 or LG batteries. They seem to rate the continuous amp higher than the original manufacturer but you should be fine to use them. Never hurts to have more good batteries though. Try the sony next time and see which you prefer.
  20. I'm pretty sure most of the efest purple 35A are rewrapped sony vtc 4 and some were known to be samsungs. Either way you should be ok at .14 if you're just pulsing for a second or two anyway. Personally I just like always using sony vtc5 in all my mechs but that's because I found a few pairs for $20 a set a few months back and I can chain vape at .20 and they don't even get warm beyond the heat of my body temp from my hand. You can drill out your post holes, get a rda like the mephisto that has huge 3mm post holes, or just go with the smaller wire. If you really want to fit wire in easily but get low builds you can consider gplat wire. I hate the price of it but the performance and low resistance aren't up for debate to me. It's easy to go low. I have 26g and 9 wrap dual micro coils and it still only comes out to .20 Wrap those at 6 wraps and you'll get all the vapor and heat you can handle.
  21. I agree with most of that. I still think the dry hits are nasty but I did think it might be even worse because of the material and how it feels in the hand. You almost assume it will melt and fuse together. It does seem to just wick and channel the juice to the coil instead of absorb like cotton. It's much less wasteful in that way. I don't wash and reuse but I do think it discolors less quickly than organic cotton. Taste wise I think it's very similar. Slightly different but I will notice more tastes in each one going between them so I can't say I prefer one over the other for taste. $7 for 3oz is pretty steep compared to the 500 ft box you should search for the nearest Sally's beauty supply store when you run out and get one of those big boxes. Wicks for life.
  22. My favorite wicks in order are japanese cotton, cellucotton, and walgreens organic cotton. The second two are cheap for bulk. About 4-5$ for 80 organic cotton balls or $12 for 500 ft of cellucotton at Sally's beauty supply. The japanese cotton patches can be pricey unless you get lucky and find some at a decent price on amazon or other fine beauty supply places online but they really are the easiest to use and give great wicking and flavor. Just cut a strip from the patch that is the right thickness for your coils and wick through them and tuck the ends.
  23. Ordered a bunch of drip tips to try from slowtech. Also an igo M and another nemesis clone in green. Some juice from vaporboost, one with melatonin and no nicotine for before bed vaping, one with caffeine and nicotine for morning vaping, and one that has relaxing aids for evening vaping. Had an order from vapordna the other day that should be here friday. They had the red gplat in small lengths so I wanted to try that and some drip tips. Also a couple new ohm meters that hopefully will last more than a few months. Oh and a coil jig. Really excited for that. I already make good coils but this should make them even easier and tighter.
  24. I've heard recently that there is ejuice with melatonin in it and is for before bed vaping. I'm thinking about trying it but I already take a chewable melatonin tablet before I get in bed. So I'd say give it some time and slowly reduce your nicotine levels as you can. Definitely vape some lower juice at night for now and take the other advice already given. Here's a link to some of the melatonin juice. Just one brand and I can't say it's good or it helps I haven't tried it yet. http://www.vaporboost.com/sweet-dreams-e-cigarette-e-liquid-juice-sleep-melatonin/
  25. Oh man I love the posts. I'd heard you get a better connection with the allen heads but I just didn't want to have to add another little wrench to keep close. So worth it. They're big enough I could easily fit some 26g parallel dual coils in. I think maybe more. It tightens down really snug and I get a great connection. Loving this setup. I'm vaping it next to my flip mod and brass monkey right now and I'm surprised I prefer the anarchist mod and zenith v2. It just hits so hard even with a simple dual 28g kanthal micro coil build and it's taking a 26g gplat micro setup on the brass monkey to match it and even then it's not giving me the same clouds just a hotter vape. Both mods hit and feel great but the anarchist was almost half the cost of the flip and it has copper contacts. I think that is the difference right now. That and the zenith v2 just has the brass monkey beat for airflow and better connections by a mile.
