Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

4Nine with Crown RDA from Tobeco, IIRC... Tempting... very tempting But, I need to pick up my Magma and some Kanthal next week, and I just ordered a Russian 91% today (Thanks to Ma, )! -
Yes, it would help to know the brand and style of atomizer/coil. For reference, I've had a couple of my Kanger single-coils last only days, and several keep going strong for 6-weeks or more! Mostly, they hold up for 3-5 weeks before the draw becomes an issue for me, and I tend to change them out at the first signs of hash-draw, burnt-flavor, dry-flavor, etc.

^^ This ^^ 0.4 Ohms @ max voltage of 4.2V is only 10.5A (and 44W).... That should not make a true-30A battery "hot"... "warm", yes, especially if chain-vaping... but not hot.

So, you bought an authentic? And, the threads are not smooth? Interesting! I was looking at the HCigar clone. I've seen them from $35-45 on different sites, and I trust HCigar... Now, about the firing button... I thought they were Magnetic, not spring-loaded? -
Cost is the reason I stick with Kanger tanks... KPT2's are cheaper than Nautilus, and I buy my coils in bulk-packs of 50 to cut costs even further. My last purchase was @ $0.60/coil or $30/case... Nautilus coils typically are $2.50+ each. I also have Kanger dual-coil tanks (AeroTank and KPT3-mini). They vape very well, and in my opinion, on par with the Nautilus. Coils for those are usually $0.75 - $0.90 each in bulk purchases.

The sweet-spot for most of my juices is between 3.6 and 3.9V, depending on the coil's resistance. The majority of all my juices taste best (to me) around 8.5W of power, so when I'm using a 1.5 Ohm coil, 3.6V hits that Wattage. If I'm using a 1.8 Ohm coil, I have to bump up the Voltage to 3.9V or even 4.0V. A 2.0 Ohm coil would require 4.1-4.2V. This is the advantage of a Variable Wattage device, like the MVP 2.0. You set the Power (Wattage) where your juice tastes best, and the device will auto-select the proper voltage, based on the coil's resistance. This is very handy if you have different tanks (same juice) with different resistance coils in them... regardless of which tank you use, or if the coil's resistance changes during it's life-cycle, the juice will always taste the same, and the vapor will be consistent. And, always remember that even a coil labeled as 1.8 Ohms will have a variance of +/- 0.2 (or more), which is why two different coils from the same box, with same resistance rating, may require different Voltage settings on your Spinner, to make the juice taste best.

Ahh, good to hear... probably no worse then condensation that gets under the drip-tip of my ProTanks? If that's the case, then definitely not a deal-breaker! Still interested to find out a solution, so when it happens to me, I'll know how to fix the problem

Hope it isn't a design issue... I was planning to buy one of the gold Ehpro's, after I had time to play with my Russian and Magma (which I still haven't bought, lol).

A couple mech clone questions.

Many of the Brass and Copper "anything" are coated to maintain their luster longer, but constant handling will break down those coatings from the oils in your fingers, over time. A lot of times they begin to look like the hood of a weathered car, with peeling clear-coat, lol... when they hit that point... I strip the lacquer-coating and polish as needed. You can always re-lacquer them, but they'll just break-down, chip, and peel again and again. -
Welcome! MtDobies gives sane and sound advice! Surgical gloves, eye protection, and clean, clean, clean everything you touch or will touch in the process. Start with very small batches of 1-5ml until you get the flavors the way you like them, and then you can scale up. Keep mind of all your ratios, and be VERY sure of your nicotine contents... There are nicotine test kits to help you verify your nic levels. I can't remember where you can buy them, but I'm sure Comp will be along shortly to remind us

I've been looking at those myself, and IIRC, the extension tube extends from the firing button (unscrew the button cap, add tube, put button cap on extension tube), not the 510 connection... To keep the "Hammer" look, you have to stick with 18350 batteries, which is not a bad thing, really. I guess if you used the extension as the "hammer handle", and a small RDA, it may still retain the ball-peen hammer look? -
Yes, dehydration will change urine darker, as well as some flavorings, especially if they have artificial colors added. It NEVER hurts to have extra water during the day... not only to flush your body properly, but also to compensate for the drying effects of PG (and to a lesser extent, VG) on the body. I use to gag at having to drink even one small glass of water in a day, but since I started vaping, I've found that water is the only beverage to truly satisfy the dryness. I drink a minimum of three, 1-liter Nalgene bottles of ice-water each day, and have cut my coffee and cola intake in half (or more)!

^^ This ^^ Vanilla (and many sweet flavors) is extremely dark, so is chocolate and coffee flavors. Fruits can be lighter shades (even nearly clear), but it also depends on the flavor and concentration, such as extra shots of flavor, sweetener, or sour.

Congrats! Very proud of you both!

I ordered a dozen 60ml bottles with glass droppers from Amazon... Prime shipping, for $15.99

I'm buying the Russian 91% first, this week... At least this Russian purchase won't claim Citizenship after 5-years and leave with half my stuff, lol... (at least I hope not)... I'm still going to order a KFL+V1 (as a back-up and so I can compare them) and a Magma from Sweet-Vapes, but will likely be a couple of weeks before I make that order
-
Yeah, that was a lot of info to digest... lol FishGuy, you may be right with the "recess", but one of the notes I read on the V2 said "recessed further into the bottom cap to help prevent e-liquid from being spilled"... so I'm sure if it's deeper, it's probably only a thousandths of an inch? I'm definitely sold on the Russian, and Ma gave me a link where I can get one without breaking the bank. I'll also be grabbing one of the Kayfun's (V1) as a back-up, and to have one to play with! You can never have too many toys, right?

I think I just found the answers to my "difference" question... There are slight differences in the top-caps and drip-tips between manufacturers (some include 510 adapters, some don't), but mostly they are the same... the real differences are the filling points and air-flow adjustments between the KayFun versions and Russian! Russian 91% - Bottom fill through recessed port, with o-ring for better seal. Air-flow adjustment is on the side of the base (no need to remove from MOD to adjust. KayFun Light Plus V1 - Bottom fill through slightly recessed port, with o-ring for better seal. Air-flow adjustment is on the bottom of the base. KayFun Light Plus V2 - Bottom fill through deeper recessed port (deeper than V1), with o-ring for better seal. Air-flow adjustment is on the bottom of the base. Also to note top-cap has bevel for drip-tip and different drip-tip style (not smooth tube like V1 or Russian). KayFun 3.1 - Side fill through recessed port, with o-ring seal. Air-flow adjustment also on the side (similar to the Russian). The change in the base makes the 3.1 taller than the Russian, but more Russian-like at least with air-flow adjustment location. The 3.1 also retains the Russian/KFL+V1 top-cap and drip-tip style. The center-pin of the 3.1 is also adjustable like the Russian. So, I hope I understood the differences from all the reading I've done today

I was guessing the windows were all plastic, since they thread together, not a compression fit. That's okay, as I'd rather fill a little here and there, than have one of my Cinnamon flavors crack their way to the desk The local shop has an authentic Russian (black), but no way I can afford their price If I go "authentic", I'll buy online and save $50! Does anyone make a "good" clone? Or, have I not been looking hard enough? They also have several HCigar and Ehpro clones of the 3.1 and KFL+ , which range from $30-$45 (which is not horrible for B&M prices), and those I've found online are ranging from $20-$40. But, I just don't see any difference between the 3.1 and Light-plus, other than price?

Like VapeHappy, I smoked cigars for 30 years... and found on day-one of vaping that 80/20 juices really satisfied my need for TH. After a few months of trying different things, I have juices in ratios from 80/20 down to 30/70, but my daily vapes are 70/30 and 65/35... still getting a little TH from the PG and nicotine, and good flavor. I also have a 50/50 juice that I love... excellent flavor and vapor production, but I can't vape it all day as the flavor is rich and sweet, so it's an after-dinner vape I also still vape several flavors in 80/20 mix... not for the TH, but just because they taste so darn good
-
Yes, I remember reading on the debate between the two, as to which came first, and all the details... I guess "clone" wasn't the proper term, as they are similar, yet so similar parts are interchangeable... I liked the Russian I was using... adjustable airflow, solid, no leaks, etc.... and the black would look awesome if you could get brass accents or frosted glass The price differences between a Russian, KayFun Lite Plus, and Kayfun 3.1 is not huge, but saving a buck is still saving a buck And, I have no issues paying a bit more for features and craftsmanship!

Okay... I've made my decision... I'm going to order an Infinite Magma (with copper ring), and either a Kayfun or Russian 91%. I borrowed a friend's Russian over the weekend, and the flavor is amazing on this thing, and at 1-Ohm, a tank of juice lasted much longer than I expected... very similar to what I'd use from my AeroTanks in a day. My question is this... I know the Russian is a clone of the KayFun... but a clone of which version? Is the KayFun 3.1 a better RBA than the Russian? Is the KayFun Lite Plus the same as the Russian? I'd like to have a "window" to know my juice levels, but it's not absolutely necessary... The Russian I borrowed was black with no glass, which wasn't a huge issue, but I like to "see" if I need to refill before toasting a wick? I also prefer Pyrex over plastic, and some of the descriptions online for KayFun's say "plastic tank", but also come with SS tank too... Decisions, decisions, decisions... The local vape shop wasn't much help. Of the 4 people there last night, only one "uses" RBA/RDA and he was pushing a Patriot and wouldn't stop talking about his "0.2-ohm quad-coil builds that will kick your teeth in"... but, he admitted he had never tried/used a KayFun (because it's just another ProTank, right? [facepalm]).... So, I guess my question is this... Russian 91% or KayFun 3.1 or KayFun Lite Plus? Differences, advantages, opinions?

Good info on the DIY e-liquid section... but I thought I'd add this as well... I ran across it back in the winter on Reddit: It has some good info on making extracts suitable for vaping, which is NOT the same process as making flavor concentrates or spice-extracts for cooking
