  1. I know my ADV, after I mix it, tastes much better after I let it "age" for a month... which is why I buy the ingredients and mix it at least a month before I'm ready to vape it As for some of the juices I buy from my B&M... some are great "that day"... some taste even better after a few weeks... it really depends on the flavor or complexity of the flavor. The Hydra flavors Comp sent me for review tasted better every day I let them "stand"... until about 2-weeks in... then they balanced-out perfectly... I don't know how they taste after a month... because they are all gone
  2. Oh, there is a difference in brands like Pampers or Luvs... I was referring to house-brands such as Babies-R-Us or Family Dollar... At the time, they were the same thing, exactly the same as Luvs.
  3. At 4.1V, a 0.5 Ohm coil will produce 33.6W of power and draw 8.2A. At 3.7V, a 0.5 Ohm coil will produce 27.4W of power and draw 7.4A. If your battery can handle 10.5A, yes, it will be fine. It may get a little warm, but be aware of the difference between warm and HOT... if your battery is labeled as 10.5A, but is a fake that cannot handle that load, it could run the risk of catastrophic failure.
  4. Fadora's site has a long section on how to identify "fake" Sony batteries... great info there! As for the Efest batteries... honestly, I agree with Joe... they are hit-and-miss whether you get real 35A or the LG 20A... but since you're only going down to 0.5 Ohms, there's no worry with using either for your purposes. Some nefarious vendors have been known to sell UltraFire or TrustFire batteries, re-wrapped to appear to be Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, Efest, etc.... which is why Compenstine posted the info on spotting fake Sony's on his website. Even reputable B&M's get burned from time to time by receiving fakes.
  5. While you're out... can you pick me up some things?
  6. Yep, I'd say the low vapor production was just a factor of low-charge. Those 650mAh batteries just won't last all day for me... When I had a pair of them, I would blow through both in a day, so one was always on the charger I gave them away to a friend as a starter-kit to help her get off analogs. The 1100mAh batteries I currently use as back-ups will last all day, give or take, so any batteries I buy now have to be 1100mAh at a minimum. There's nothing wrong with the smaller batteries, and I do appreciate the size (nice and compact), but I prefer to carry 1 or 2 larger mAh batteries, rather than 3 or 4 smaller ones, when I'm going to be away from home all day or on an overnight trip.
  7. Those CE4 tanks are disposable... and they are usually good for a week or maybe two (if juices are not thick/sweet/dark). When they start to draw "hard", it's time to toss it. You can sometimes extend the life by soaking them overnight in a shot-glass full of Vodka, and then letting them air-dry for a day, but that doesn't always work, and is not really worth it, since they are so cheap... you can get a dozen on eBay for $10-15, and some sites run deals on them from time-to-time where you can get them in bulk for ~ $1 each. The battery is probably just fine, and will work well with your other tanks (eGo or 510 threaded). Have you tried the battery with other tanks?
  8. Just be careful when buying from eBay... read the past reviews, looking at the negative/neutral posts. Also, try to buy from a seller that has been around for a while... avoiding those with <100 transactions, or anyone that just started selling last week. Those tend to be scammers that pop up, sell a few, and disappear, only to pop up in a week under a new name, selling the same trash.
  9. We were just trying to let you get your beauty-sleep, Tam
  10. ^^^^ Thanks Jason... I couldn't find that tread fast enough
  11. There are pre-built dripping atomizers, such as the HH.357... BOGE also has cheaper units (smaller too), which work very well. None of them are sub-ohm, so you can enjoy them with your eGo and IPOW batteries... no need to buy mech-mods
  12. I see a lot of those re-branded or clones of Kanger EVOD batteries... most of them work pretty well, but that one appears to be a 650mAh, so it will last less than a full day before needing to re-charge. GeorgeF is right, those CE4 tanks are a common starter tank (because they are cheap). You can usually pick up a dozen for $10-15 online. Some people love them, some hate them... I never had any real issues with them, other than the fact they are disposable... use them a week or so and toss them out when flavor or draw diminishes. I bought a 20-pack when I first started vaping, and used about a dozen before I tried a BDC Kanger Protank3-mini... after that, I gave away the CE4's and moved on to all Pyrex, bottom-coil tanks. The battery will do you well for a back-up or supplement your other batteries... something to use while your larger ones charge.... but I would suggest a better tank/clearomizer
  13. Your taste and sense of smell will really begin to come back after a couple of weeks of being smoke-free, and the senses continue to "hone" for a few months.
  14. Mine feels that way too sometimes, but then I realize one of my fingers is blocking one of the three air-holes Also, when you re-fill, let them stand for a couple minutes to work the air-bubbles out of the coil/wick, and to equalize the vacuum pressure (taking a hit without pushing the fire-button will help set the vacuum, too).
  15. Hmmm... how about a .... pipe cleaner? LOL That's what I've been cleaning my chimneys with...
  16. For the trouble of using cotton-balls, organic or otherwise (inconsistencies, flaws, lumps, etc.), I switched to Japanese Cotton pads, and couldn't be happier... 5cm by 6cm pads, 200ct bag, from Amazon for ~ $7. I pull one out, cut a strip, feed it through the wick, trim, assemble, vape... couldn't be simpler, and the flavor and wicking is fantastic.
  17. Good looking rig! I've not pulled the trigger on an iStick yet, but considering it more and more every day. I do love my KPT3-minis, though... best small tank for the money IMO.
  18. Welcome to VT! Sounds like you hit the ground running, especially with starting out using an RTA, lol... I'm glad you're enjoying it. It sucks that your workplace banned vaping, but still allows you to chew/dip.
  19. Tam brings up a good alternative with the BOGE atomizers... I have a few of those as well, which I use for sampling flavors, or when I want a quick-hit and don't want (or can't get to) a full tank/battery rig. I also use their caromizers (same thing, but with a Rayon material to hold juice) when I'm cutting grass or working on the vehicle... so I don't run the risk of damaging one of my more expensive rigs, and don't have to deal with the weight of a tank and bigger battery
  20. What you're referring to is an RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer)? If so, yes, that is good for changing flavors quickly... just re-wick, and change flavors. However, if you are not mechanically inclined to build your own coils, do not have a firm grip on Ohm's law, and do not wish to expend at least $100 on necessary components/supplies... RDA's may not be the best option. If all you're after is being able to change flavors at the drop of a hat... I would suggest multiple tanks (of the same type or style). Personally, I have RDA and RTA, Mechanical MODs, VV/VW batteries, and standard eGo's... but I also rotate through more than 16 tanks... some with the same flavor in them so I can keep vaping without refilling... some with different flavors so I can change when I feel the need for something different... some with different Nicotine strengths, for that morning "lift", and lower-levels so I can sleep more soundly. Multiple tanks may seem extreme, but I doubt many on this forum have fewer than 6 of any given tank, just for the purpose of different flavors (or convenience). Plus, half-a-dozen tanks will cost you FAR less than getting into RDA's. Don't think I'm trying to stop you from RDA's... no, the flavor and vapor production can be amazing from them... but safety is first, and I always want to point out the cost-factor too. You can get a decent RDA, Mech Mod, high-quality batteries, wire, Ohm-meter, cotton, etc. for all under $100 if you're careful. But if all you want is convenience to change flavors... additional tanks may be the better route?
  21. The only down-sides to cranking up the voltage is having to charge the battery more often, and possibly burning out the coil faster... but as long as your juice can handle the added power (without tasting burnt), enjoy!
  22. Is it sad that all I can picture is the villagers from Young Frankenstein?
  23. I've never seen anything but the plastic tanks (with plastic or SS bodies), so I was just basing my info on that... I wouldn't mind trying one of those all-Aluminum tanks If you've bought coils that cheap, you got a deal! Nova coils I've seen run ~ $1 each, and my Kanger coils (by the case) put my single coils at $0.55 each and dual-coils at $0.75 each (which is WAY under Aspire coil prices).... Good luck on your search... I hope someone else can chime in with what you're after.
