You can build one for < $10 in parts (wiring/electrical, 510-connector, battery-contacts, enclosure)... above what the DNA30 chip costs. You can also go all-out and spend another $50 on the parts and enclosure... it really depends on how elaborate or simple you are trying to go.

I had been very leery of the VTC5's, and when I was looking for new batteries, I knew either Comp's (diminishing) supply of VTC4's OR Samsung 25r's, IF I could find a decent price on them. Fortunately, the local B&M had a Holiday Sale, and Samsung batteries were on their menu... I cleaned them out of their last five @ $6.59/each Good info to know on the VTC's... and straight from Sony, too!

Hmmmm... I need either a mech or atty with a penguin on it

Check your MOD's top-pin too... Floating pins can be pushed too far down, and sometimes spring-loaded pins can stick and not make contact.with the atty. -
I've ran into people that have been vaping for years, and they still call it "smoking" I guess for some, decades of calling it "smoking" is a harder habit to break than actual smoking, lol My favorite, though was a lady I met last fall... she noticed I was vaping and said, "Oh, I see you smoke these batteries too."

Moving to a lower Nicotine juice has helped me immensely! Now, instead of waking up, feeling like I just fell asleep 10-min ago, I feel much more rested in the mornings... and that says a lot, since I'm NOT a morning person

Little or no taste when vaping
Earthling789 replied to DauntLex's topic in General Vaping Discussion
BeBop is wise... once you "burn" a coil in a tank, any juice in that tank will pick up the burnt flavor... so you'll think the next dozen coils are all burnt too, when they're not. Empty the tank, tear it apart, wash, wash, rinse, rinse, rinse, and air-dry overnight. Pop in a fresh coil with fresh juice, and you'll probably find the problem solved. -
If I get more than 3-5 hours sleep a night, I'm probably dead... lol Insomnia is not uncommon during the Holidays, so don't feel too badly. But, I have to ask... are you vaping high Nicotine% late into the evening? I noticed my sleep was less restful (if I slept) when I was vaping 18mg right before bedtime. Now I drop to 6 or 3mg an hour or two before I plan to sleep, and I'm sleeping much more restful (even though still only 3-5 hours a night).

Nope, your coils don't look too bad at all... I wish my first few coils turned out that nicely! I'm not looking for a trade, but I think you'll be very happy with the larger size... makes it easy to work with as a first-device, and excellent air-flow... One piece of advice is to position your coils directly over the air-holes, or slightly "inside" the holes so the air comes directly under the coil, or slightly to the outer-edge... this will give you much better vapor and flavor (less airy and weak). If you're looking for a standard-size, I've seen them for ~$15-18 (even less if you buy from one of the better Chinese vendors, but shipping is slow). If I run across a decent price, I'll shoot you a link

30mm?? Mine is only 22mm (Infinite Clone). I didn't realize they made a larger version...hmmm... might have to get another one

Welcome to the forum... What type of rig did you buy? If you only received one battery, and one tank (clearomizer), that will get you started, but you'll want to invest in a second battery as your next purchase.... so you can have one charging while you use the other

I bought Russians because I wasn't too fond of the airflow designs of the previous generations of the Kayfun (and especially the fill-port design of the 3.1). Now that I've seen Pbusardo's review of the V4, I want one too... but instead of buying a ToBeCo clone, I think I'll wait for an EhPro or HCigar clone. Unless ToBeCo's quality has improved, that is...

Factor in your juice costs, and most of us vape all week for the price of a pack or two of analogs!

Jason... you shouldn't have... So, when will it arrive at my house? Seriously, when you get it, you'll have to post up a good review for the rest of us poor folk to envy, hahaha -

Well, Tam, you've helped me (spend) so much (of my money) in the past... I'm just trying to return the favor -
I ran across this while looking at new toys today... and it seems quite interesting. I just purchased an IPV-mini, and the asMODus promo video I saw compared the Colossal with the IPV-mini and IPV3. The Colossal is slightly smaller than the mini (much smaller than the IPV3), yet still fits an Aspire Atlantis sized atty perfectly flush (no over-hang). I have no info to compare the GX350 chip to the SX130 chip (from the mini), so I've no clue if one is more reliable/better than the other... MSRP is $100, but looks like a few sites have pre-orders being taken at $80. First release colors should be brushed Aluminum bodies with polished top/bottom caps in natural/Stainless or black/Brass. Product Specifications: Dimensions: 35mm x 88mm x 21mm Output voltage: 3.0 - 8.2V Volts Output power: 5 - 35 Watts Loading resistance: 0.3 - 3.0 ohm Efficiency: 92% GX350 chip OLED mirrored screen Floating top pin to make any atty sit flush with ease Aluminum alloy construction Accommodates a single 18650 sized battery USB charging Any thoughts? Any experience with the company's other products or the GX350 chip?

Little or no taste when vaping

Lack of flavor could be a failing coil... The coils that ship with the tanks are notorious for being sub-standard... personally I think they are contaminated with machining oils... But, even then, a coil used steadily (especially with dark/sweet juices) will generally start to give-out after 18-25ml of juice have been vaped through it.... That's the life-span in my experience with Kanger coils... 18-20ml and you start to notice some decrease in function... and sometime after 25ml the decrease intensifies. It does not always happen this way... some may hold out for 40ml before decrease, but I'm just giving ball-park-averages, based on my experience. Did you thoroughly clean the tank before you started using it? Have you tried a replacement coil? What battery/device are you using with the Mega? -
Good morning, Joe! No hangover here... but it's not even 11am, and I could use a nap

Yes, the Nautilus will work well with the SVD or SVD2.... or pretty much any other device you wish to use. Standard Nautilus coils are 1.6 or 1.8 Ohm.

True, altitude does have a lot to do with it... although I started hours ago, so 1 per hour, and I'm still relatively sober :P But it's a good thing I'm in the comfort of my own living-room... no way I'd attempt putting a key in the ignition
