The Calvert 18350 Mod by Monake

Yep, if you're not in a hurry, that is... My last order to Fasttech saved me roughly $65+, so I try not to complain... but sheesh... you'd think that once it hit the China Postal system it would actually MOVE, and not be stagnant in the same place for 12 days (which will be at least 22 days, now, because of the Chinese New Year Holiday) before it finds its way onto another truck! The last couple of orders from Fasttech, however, shipped within days and I had them at my door in 3-4 weeks... -
For the most part, a battery is a battery is a battery The MVP is a variable Voltage / Variable Wattage device, which means you can adjust the voltage OR Wattage to suit your tastes (and your juice) to maximize the flavor... hitting the sweet-spot of the right amount of power to your coil to bring out the best of your juice. When you have different tanks, different coil resistances, different juices, etc. you will find that a VV/VW device far more useful than a simple 3.7V stick... although there is absolutely nothing wrong with a single-Voltage stick battery... it's whatever works best for you I still have an eGo-T that gets used at least once per week.... Vapor production is a factor of the juice (higher VG content), resistance of the coil, and the amount of power (Voltage/Wattage, which is in reality the Amps) applied to the coil. Cloud chasers prefer super-sub-Ohm multi-coil builds and high Amps (Wattages) to get a lot of heat, which maximizes the burn. Your average vaper is quite satisfied with a basic Kanger/Aspire tank, 1.5 - 2.0 Ohm coil and a battery capable of pushing 3.7V

Awesome! If I order it today, I can have it by August My order placed on 1/3 to Fasttech was packaged and shipped on 2/3, and has been sitting in a Chinese PO since 2/4... and hasn't moved an inch It still has a week to get to Chicago (US Customs), where it will sit another 7-10 days... I figure I'll eventually receive it by mid-March or early April... -

I really like the design! I wonder if they'll produce an 18650 version, and/or one in brass or copper? -

Yep, I read this a while back... totally one-sided, bought-and-paid-for results in the guise of "science". Coming from the Bloomberg School of Public Health should tell you all you need to know

Potential Success Converting a LONG TIME Heavy Smoker

Oh, I know the ones... I smoked everything from hand-rolled Cubans to machine-made commercial brands, and my go-to pack-a-day was Swisher Sweet Little Cigars... basically a cigar in a cigarette wrapper with filter. They were hard-core... smoking one of those was like ripping through 3 Camel unfiltered Those Santa-Fe's are a little more cigarette than cigar, but still maintain the natural cigar flavors and spicy throat-hit... -

Yes, your spiced apple is excellent... either by itself, or mixed a few drops in a tank-full of Cuban cigar base... Once I stop stocking up on hardware, I need to place an order for more Hydra, PBFB, and spiced apple... and maybe have you try your hand at the Cranberry/Blue-Raspberry, too -
Many times the "harsh" vape you get from the local shop is the type of clearomizer/tank they have their juices in. One of the local B&M's load all their juices in Ce4 tanks, and they all taste like crap to me. My favorite B&M loads all their juices in KPT3-minis, KPT2's, and always has the bottle there for you to drip a sample (or load your own tank) too. Your Apollo set is just like an EVOD, so it will be bottom-coil design, and not nearly as harsh/hot as those sample tanks (top-coil) from the shop.

As a former cigar smoker, I can say that "we" do require a juice that has a little cigar-ish flavor, or at least the qualities of the cigar. I still vape a mix of Cuban cigar flavor mixed with a fruit (usually black-cherry, but sometimes orange or apple for a citrus kick), and something sweet (usually vanilla, caramel, French Vanilla cream, etc). It's one of my go-to ADVs. When you've smoked a high-end cigar often enough, you need something with a little spice to it, and cinnamon is a good way to get it. I've tried the Eclipse from Space Jam, and it's a pretty good substitute for cigar flavorings, but the tobacco is more Turkish with hints of Black & Mild, and that may be his issue with it? Another tip is complex flavors with citrus and sweet fruits (like Comp's newest Hydra line or fruit mash-ups)... they tend to satisfy my need for flavor complexity (citrus, sweet, fruit, nut, spice) that I crave from a fine cigar (or a cheap one, for that matter). -
Cali Declares Ecigs a Health Threat

Nannies don't need a precedent, or scientific facts... for example... Global Warming Climate Change ($$ and "control" drives that one, not common sense) VA banned charity car-washes (because Chlorine might get into the water-table) CT banned whole milk for day-cares (because it will stop obesity in children) MT lawmaker is attempting to ban yoga-pants, short-skirts, and men's exposed nipples (because he doesn't like to look at them, poses 5-yr prison sentence for 3-strike 'wardrobe offense', which is better than the current 'life-sentence' ) MD bans Vaportinis (because you should drink your alcohol, not vape it, and one legislator thinks it "looks unsafe") MN spends tens of thousands of tax dollars to put up signs "Feral cat colonies are prohibited on federal property" (because cats can read apparently, and always do what they are told) MO bans mothers from breastfeeding near public pools (for sanitary reasons, despite allowing dogs to swim in public pools) VA dept of education bans lip balm (carry or use) in the school (because someone in CA might be allergic to beeswax, and apparently lip-balm has been known to attack unsuspecting teens in the hallways... I'm sure they have video proof...) and the best of the past year... FDA classifies sunscreen as a "drug", and refuses to approve ingredients used in Europe and Asia (since 1997, because sunscreen is classified as a 'cosmetic' everywhere but in the US) as "safe", and therefore renders our current sunscreen market horribly ineffective at blocking UVa, UVb, and UVc, compared to products you can buy anywhere else in the world (for pennies compared to US products)! -

Yes, 4000 + chemicals... some studies have identified even more than that (from some brands). Vaping works for the masses because it provides nicotine, visible vapor, and feeds the need for hand-to-mouth habits... things that gum/patches/pills can never do -
I picked up another bottle of Krankberry in 6mg from my local B&M on Saturday, and just got a "good" look at it. Hmm... the label changed... Nope, not the house-brand stuff (which is made in their own on-site lab)... this is Fuzion Vapor Krankberry I loaded up my Kayfun V4, and immediately noticed Fuzion is NOT 30/70 mix... it's 50/50?... and the wonderful airy sweet/tart/pucker with salivating after-taste flavor is replaced with a candy inhale and sour aftertaste (like sour gummies). The vape is like a blue-raspberry Icee, with a harsh, artificial sour aftertaste, which reminds me of some of the Jolly Rancher juices I've tried. I sure hope this stuff gets better after it ages a bit... or I'll be begging for the house-brand next time I stop by there.... either that or Comp needs to start mixing some up for me

I've never cared for Pink Spot e-liquids... to me, they always tasted bland or had an alcohol overtone. Sometimes leaving the lid off, and putting them into a dark, cool place for a couple of days really helps Again, there may not be anything wrong with the juice, but it's just not your cup-o-tea (nor mine)....

Haha, it's called a "habit"... and most of smoking is habitual, reinforced by the chemical dependence from the burning of plant materials (and 4000 added chemicals). Habits of lighting-up in the car, or when you step outside, habits of going to "designated smoking areas", habits of having something in your hand, in your mouth, or the motion of hand-to-mouth... all have to be broken or altered, lol. -
Yeah, something will catch my attention in the next few months

Richmond, VA ecigs label'd as drug paraphernalia...
Earthling789 replied to HOOKER's topic in General Vape News
I've got dozens of issues with reports like these... the report is slanted hard to the left, and we're talking about the education system... where they expel kindergartners for bringing one of their green-army-men to school with them. Our downward spiral is caused by all these feel-good, do-as-I-say, politically-correct nannies... and it's hard to get a grip on the porcelain when you're floating in a circle!! -
Comp does have some fantastic juices! Like you I started with the eGo-style batteries, and quickly realized the KPT3 minis were awesome tanks when paired together! I'm glad to hear you've found a good juice to keep you vaping. Quite often, that is why people give up on vaping and go back to analogs... they can't find a flavor that keeps them from lighting-up! Keep up the good work, and feel free to post up your questions, or just join in on the conversations Welcome!!

What I've bought? Or what I've spent everyone else's money on? In the past few weeks, I've bought an IPV-mini2, a second IPV-mini, two authentic Russian 91% (going out of business sale, both for $78), pre-ordered a YouDe Goblin and Infinite Kayfun V4 in black, and have a (freebie) Squape Reloaded en-route. After buying all of this stuff, I won't have the need to buy anything except juice for a VERY VERY long time

Can someone point me in the direction for an upgrade?

The specs on them are really nice, especially the mAh capacity, but I've never actually "used" one yet, so I can't give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down... Perhaps someone else can give a more informed opinion? -

My MVP 2.0 was my daily go-to device for more than 8 months. I was using eGo-T's for a few weeks, and once I bought the MVP, the eGo's were backups and traveling buddies I'm with you Jason... without the MVP, I think I would have had a much harder time getting over those rough spots and heavy cravings! I still use my MVP several times a week with my Kanger tanks, even though I have more powerful devices and Mech-mods. And, even though I can go 30W or higher on some of my devices... the RTA's and juices I use most often, taste best between 10 and 18W... -

With tanks (like the Nautilus, ProTank, Aerotank, etc.), you'd rarely go above the limits of your MVP 2.0. Some juices, coupled with 1.5 or 1.6 Ohm coils might allow you to push higher wattages (12-18W), but it really depends on the juice. To go 30W with ANY device, you need something that will fire sub-ohms. Either a Kanger Sub-tank, Atlantis, or similar tanks with pre-built cartrige-coils... OR... an RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer), where you can build the coil to whatever resistance you want. Many people will use a Mechanical Mod for RDAs because your limit on build is determined by the battery you use. A box-mod like the MVP 3.0 or iStick 30W have limitations on how low you can go on your coil's resistance. Go too low, and it will not fire. I'm using a Russian 91% RTA right now, with 1.3 Ohm coil. The juice I'm vaping tastes best at only 10.5W, so I could technically use it on an MVP all day long, without the need to have a 30W device! -
It's easy to go nuts... especially when you find something that you really like, and have to have two, three, four, ... nineteen of them There's just too many pretty/shiny things out there, and only so much will-power we humans have...

I'm a Database Admin, SQL developer, reporting ninja, and part-time website designer for a Fortune-10 tech company. I also build/repair computers, rebuild/restore/ride motorcycles, and dabble in woodworking (when I have the time). I'm a far cry from what I went to school for... Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Math/English and nearly completed a year of Medical School before I came to my senses I did love working the ER and Maternity (delivered six, including three of my own), but knew I'd be miserable the rest of my life if I stayed in that line of work.
