I always thought so too, and it is, if you use your thumb to fire it. But, if you flip it around, and use your finger (index or middle) to fire it, it is actually less awkward... at least it is for me. Yes, I'd prefer it on the short-side, but it's not a horrible placement if you use your finger

I'm with Comp on this one... both have their ups and downs, but for me, I'll toss out the price difference... You can generally buy two of any Kanger tank for the price of one Nautilus, and Aspire coils are 4x what I pay for Kanger BCC (3x Kanger BDC). From that perspective Kanger has my business, even if the coils lasted half as long, they're still a bargain! Kanger also has my vote for durability of the tank itself. I broke the tank of my nautilus by knocking it over on my desk, whereas I've droped Kangers on concrete and zero damage!

So, you're going to become a member of Acronym Elimination Coalition ... the AEC? I'll put my opinion out there... not a fan of the BVC... I've been through a box already and have yet to be impressed. Gurgling and leakage aside, they didn't last as long as the BDC that came with my Nautilus, and the flavor diminishes quickly as the coil gunks-up... even with thinner, clearer juices, the coil gunks-up fast, and if the juice is not molasses-thick, they gurgle and/or leak if you leave it sitting overnight or even for a few hours. Now, my dissatisfaction may be due to the Nautilus, itself... but I won't be buying anymore coils for it, and I'll likely pay it forward someday... someone else might have better luck with it?

Sounds to me like a tank has leaked some juice onto the top of the battery connections, and it's leaked INSIDE the battery. This will cause all sorts of strange things. Cleaning really well, and even flooding a little rubbing alcohol around the connection (then let it air-dry for HOURS) may be enough to clean it up. It could also just be on it's last leg and ready for recycling? You'd think it would last longer, but I've had basic eGos last (going on 11-months now), and a few that were toast in less than 6 months.

For a eGo-style VV battery... that won't break the bank for a couple of them, I'd go with Tug's suggestion of the original Spinner 1300mAh or a eGo-C Twist in 1100mAh or larger. For a decent, dependable, and rugged tank, I would suggest the mini versions of KPT2, KPT3, or AeroTank (all hold 1.5ml), or for a full-size, the KPT2 (with airflow base) or an AeroTank. The Nautilus is pricey and glass tanks are more fragile unless you opt for the cage or SS tanks (another expense). Cheaper tanks on the list would be Kanger T-series, EVOD, EMOW, EVOD2 (same as KPT3mini, but with colors), or a basic MT3 (but coils are harder to find and more expensive). There's nothing wrong with a Vivi-Nova (or mini). The VT store has great prices, but not all the things mentioned above. Sites I trust to order from... sweet-vapes.com and 101vape.com for "basic" equipment. Vapenw.com has some good prices, but I have no idea on their shipping, although they are US based. And lately, Chinese sites have been no better than US prices, and shipping is taking months, rather than a couple weeks. Good luck on helping him find a good rig! And, if buying things separately is a bit pricey to get him started, there are always EVOD or EMOW kits, and Sweet-vapes has some mix-and-match starter kits too

Very likely yes... but if you have any Vodka around... soak that coil in a little Vodka for a few hours or overnight. Then let it air-dry for a few hours, and it should be good as new again.

It actually is better for Li-Ion batteries to charge them more often, before they are "dead". They last longer that way. I would advise getting at least two batteries, so you can use one while one charges, or have a spare in case one goes south on you.

Once you burn a coil, the juice picks up that flavor (fast). Now you've basically contaminated the KPT2 with bad juice, so it will need to be dumped, rinsed well with hot water, and dried... else it will have that burnt taste in it for a very long time. Clean it, and pop in a fresh coil with fresh juice, and you'll be fine

Specs on the T8 say 150W max and resistance range is 0.15 to 4.0 Ohms. I've personally never built anything below 0.3 Ohms, and that was too low for me

I do the same thing, but in reverse, lol Charged ones go with the top to the left Comp has good prices on his cases, and I've bought some from Amazon too (just because I needed colors he didn't have, and a couple of waterproof ones). Just be careful if you go the Amazon route... the cheaper ones are shipped from Hong Kong or mainland China, and may take 1-2 months to arrive. Fadora Vapor has really good prices on them, and while you're at it, indulge yourself with some of his fantastic juice!!

A really good online calculator is Steam Engine, and they have an Android and Apple app available too. Tam is right, you should never rely on the APV to tell you resistance... a dedicated Ohm Meter is the best option. Learn Ohm's Law, and use the calculator to determine how to build your coils, then test them on the meter BEFORE you attempt to fire them on your device! That Coupor T8 is a nice APV, but I remember reading that their built-in meters are only 90-95% accurate, which could be devastating if you build too low (or have a dead-short).

LOL... I just happened to have a link where I knew to find it quick shen_long... Double-check your box it came in. Mine was stuck in the folded side-piece and I wouldn't have noticed it, if I hadn't tried to fold the box down and found the lump!

The cardboard will be okay, but you'll want to pick up some plastic boxes or plastic tubes to put them in. You don't want to risk the contact hitting metal and possibly shorting out. The boxes also keep them clean and "somewhat" dry. They also make nice waterproof ones if you're around any water or camping/boating/fishing/etc.

Yep, it should have had a little connector-sleeve to make the male connection on the meter work with 510's

The 25r's are 2500mAh, and the VTC4's are only 2100mAh, so yes, the Samsung last a bit longer on that alone. But, I will agree, they appear to last longer than just 400mAh worth. My VTC4's hold out a full day in my IPVs, but in a Mech, their power is just too low to run my RTAs more than 8-hrs. The Samsung hold out a day and a half in my IPV and full day in a Mech. I bought mine on Amazon too... from a reputable supplier. I picked up 4 from the local B&M, and another 4 from Amazon... they all ran ~ $6.59 each. Once my VTC4's are too far gone to continue using them, they'll be replaced with Samsung!

The AA batteries to run the meter? They are probably okay, and won't affect its accuracy, but they probably will have a shorter lifespan than fresh Duracell or similar...

I skimmed a few of the sites I normally buy from, and I only see AW and Efest 18500/18490 batteries available. I also saw a few no-name brands, and the usual Ultrafire/Trustfire garbage. HCigar has a branded battery out there too, but it is a button-top (protected) and one review I read has it listed at 4A discharge limit. I think for that size, your choices are going to be limited to AW or the red (18490 size) or purple (18500 size) Efest batteries. If others are available in that size, someone else may provide more insight?

I find it easier to be outside when it's 20 and below (because I purposely dress warmer). I also have really good cold-weather gear because I hunt and camp in the winter, just as much (if not more) than in warmer months. I also ride motorcycles year-round, but I must say... I pretty much draw the line when it drops below 20 The wind-chill at 60MPH and potential of hitting a patch of ice is just too much! Two years ago, a week before Christmas, I rode 250 miles... it was 40 when I left the house, and 18 when I arrived at my destination (only my finger tips were cold). You should have seen the looks on people's faces as I ripped by them doing 80 on the Interstate that night

I've always had a good sense of taste and smell, but things began to get more pronounced within a couple of weeks of quitting analogs. I'd say mine rebounded fully, within 6-8 weeks? I will say though, the smell of stale cigarettes and unwashed bodies can be detected from a football field away (upwind)
