  1. Vape Royalty has the iStick 50W for $39.99 (black), and the IPV-mini2 for $57.99 (black or silver)... Their prices are probably the lowest on the Internet right now?
  2. What is this thing called "the news"? Is this something new? People should be made aware of this... perhaps something in print, or perhaps on that Tesla invention Marconi took the credit for? [i mean, we're obviously still living in the Stone-Age...]
  3. Nah, you just didn't want me to be the only one buying another VV/VW mod (or two) that wasn't needed But, you gotta admit, the price was right...
  4. And I just ordered the black one... but I think some Royal Blue numbers on the side would be cool?
  5. Yes, Tam... my criteria was $40 or less, and $39.99 qualified So, I have a black one on the way... along with another IPV-mini2... I know, I know... but I swear, it's not for me... I'll just be holding it for a friend
  6. If anyone is interested... Vape Royalty has iStick 50W on clearance for $39.99 and Silver for $42.99
  7. It is easy to grow your vape gear into a huge stockpile, lol... but after a while you settle into what you really like, and pay-forward some of your less used gear... then everything will fit on one shelf again (instead of taking up three)
  8. Jason, next time it "quits", pull the battery and check the Voltage... I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to find it will read ~ 3.5V. To do any damage to these batteries, you'd have to consistently run them down to 3.2V or lower?
  9. I don't follow any university or pro teams... but you've given me an idea for my son's soccer games this fall... Their HS colors are Royal Blue, Black, and White, with accents of Silver/Grey. Maybe get a Royal Blue wrap for my silver IPV or Cloupor? Bonus points if I can cut-out his number on the sides of the wrap, so it will show through in Silver (or at least add the number in white)? Top it off with my black Russian 91%?
  10. I just checked the Voltage of a battery I pulled from my Cloupor mini... indicator had just dropped to 30%, and the battery reads exactly, 3.700V So, that tells me that the chip-sets in these devices won't allow you to over-discharge... I know I've taken one of my IPV's to the point it would not fire at all, and the battery was still above 3.5V. I still try to swap them when the indicator starts dipping below the half-way point, but I guess I won't stress as much if I take them lower... It's not like a Mech-mod... I was always paranoid about over-discharging a battery when using my mechs, and was frequently checking Voltage. I swapped them when they hit below 3.8V (and their performance really dropped off below that, too).
  11. I would suggest using Samsung 25r batteries. You can usually pick them up for $6.50 to $7.50 each, and they have an excellent service and safety record. LG HE2 are also good... If you want higher Amp ratings... Efest has a nice 35A battery, but they are usually $11+ in price. For most builds (down to 0.2 Ohm), the Samsung batteries will perform well.
  12. I've been known to take them down to the point where the indicator is about 20%, but try to swap batteries when the indicator hits 40-50%. Most of my displays are at 40-50% when the charge on the battery is ~ 3.7V, and 20% on the indicator is ~ 3.5V... batteries below 3.4V typically won't even register on the display or fire (to prevent damaging the battery from over-discharge). By charging them more frequently, and not taking them too low between charges, it prolongs their life-span. I try to never discharge a battery below 3.5V (if I can help it).
  13. http://blog.casaa.org/2015/04/call-to-action-submit-comments-on-fdas.html Time to submit comments (through July 2nd) for the FDA's Second Workshop
  14. Yes, you should use flat-top batteries... button-tops will cause issues with many mods.
  15. Those Ultrafires are only rated to either 2A or 4A (at best), which means they are not safe for a 0.4 Ohm load. At a 2A limit, your max Ohm coil would be 2.0... at a 4A limit, your max Ohm load will be 1.0 Ohm. To run a 0.4 Ohm coil, you will need a battery capable of 10.5A (minimum), which is why we always suggest using a 20A rated battery for any mod that will be running sub-ohm coils. As of the 1000mAh capacity... that will run all day with a 1.8 Ohm coil (Kanger or Aspire tank)... higher is better, as they will last longer between charges, but 1000mAh is not horrible...
  16. Yeah, it would have been nice, considering she probably rang up $350+ (retail) worth of merchandise... But she obviously hadn't a clue what she was doing... typical eye-candy behind the counter... so I couldn't let her have a nervous-breakdown, lol... Yes, she was appreciative of my help... you could see it in her eyes and smile... she was no longer panicking As I was leaving, the "regular" guy was coming in the door, probably from his dinner-break. Hopefully she rubbed his nose in her "huge sale" she just made,
  17. Protection from? Oils on your hands? It would take several lifetimes of use for oils and sweat from your hands to eat through brass. Honestly, just keeping them polished using a good cleaner/polish designed for brass/copper will keep them functioning and looking like new. Copper-brite and Mother's also contain a protective compound to keep them from oxidizing as fast. I'm not sure what that compound is, but it's likely a paraffin-based wax...
  18. I stopped off at the local B&M last night, only to buy a raffle ticket... they're giving away a ton of goodies and donating the raffle money to the local youth soccer and little-league baseball... but I digress... Anyway, while I was in there, several people were at the counter looking at tanks and box-mods, and the only sales gal in the shop looked terrified, lol, so, I stepped in and gave my opinions to help her out. She ended up selling three iStick 50W, and several tanks (with spare coils), including Sub-tank minis, Aerotanks, and a Kayfun Lite-Plus... and yes, a meter, wire, and cotton pads... I even built a 1.4 Ohm coil for the KFL+ to show the new owner how (and how to be safe)... I hope she received a commission, as well as an education, lol... Now... to win one of the raffles for an iStick 50W for myself
  19. It could just be an issue with their site and the check-out process. If the order shows processing, and the money has been accepted, you're probably okay. I would also contact their customer support, as Jeff suggested, to let them know their site is jacked-up, and also to verify the order is truly being processed. Honestly, that would not be the first site to have a check-out glitch... even Amazon has left items in my cart before, even though I purchased them... but at least the issue with Amazon cleared itself after a couple hours (purchased items were removed from my cart)
  20. Also, make sure your magnets are facing opposite... they should repel each other, not pull towards each other. 3600mAh? I'll assume that is a Panasonic button-top battery? If so, gag8tor is correct... your mod will work better with a flat-top battery, and I'll suggest the 20A Samsung 25r...or the purple Efest 35A. Samsung batteries are my go-to, for their reliability (and cost). Also, just out of curiosity... what is the Ohms of your coil build?
  21. I'm not much of an RDA guy either... I like to fill my RTA and forget about it for the rest of the day, but I do dust off my Magma from time to time for an after-dinner dripping session. To me, the flavor and vapor remind me of a fine cigar
  22. I don't need another RDA, since I rarely use the ones I have... but if I were buying one tomorrow, the Doge 2 would be in my collection. The white one looks sweet, too.
  23. Glad to hear you reunited with an old friend I love my Russian 91% RTAs... I use them daily for their excellent flavor and performance. I've not had to "dust off" any old tanks for a while, but it has been several weeks since I've used my Kayfun V4... Hmmm... perhaps it's time to load up some fresh juice in that one?
  24. Hey, let Hell freeze over... I've got my ice skates sharpened and ready
