  1. I almost exclusively use 1.5 Ohm coils in my Kanger tanks... and depending on the juice, run them anywhere from 8W up to 12W... but the happy medium with most juices is 9.5-10.5W. As Bebob said... increasing your airflow, or start drawing, hit the fire button, and continue to draw after you release the button, works to limit "cooking" and will cool the coil faster. Sometimes, when I'm using a low-ohm coil or sub-ohm coil, I'll pulse the fire-button... so it's not constantly ON while I'm drawing. Tam gave the "rule" for dialing in the proper Wattage for your juice/coil combo, and it works every time... start low, and slowly turn up the Wattage after every few draws. That first "bad" hit means you've gone too far, and need to back it up about 0.2-0.5W. A fresh coil will always be "hotter", so if you were using 10W with the old coil, you might want to start out at 9W with a new coil, and crank it back up to 10W (or wherever it tastes best) once it has been used for a couple of hours.
  2. Yep, that is my only complaint on my IPV minis... my black ones turned "grey", and paint is coming off, anywhere they've been touched, and the edges. You can easily see my thumb-print and where my fingers wrap around the opposite edge The gold one is doing it too, now... at least the thumb-print area is showing silver through the gold... They work so well, though... but I'll eventually have to wrap them. Amen! I'm shocked the tank didn't break too, but Kanger tanks are pretty sturdy IMO. I've broken one so far, and it took a heck of a hit onto concrete to just crack it... my Nautilus... broke (read: shattered) by being knocked over (attached to my MPV) on a particle-board desk!
  3. Well, I was preparing to leave work today... tossed my leg across my bike's saddle, and realized I had laid my Cloupor mini on the pillion... just as I heard it hit the asphalt, and what sounded like lots of breakage I gotta hand it to these little things... they are TOUGH! The battery cover popped off, the battery went flying, and even the cover over the electronics popped off... but once I put it all back together, it worked just like it did before! Didn't even scratch, break, or damage the AeroTank V2 that was attached! The only damage to anything was a tiny scuff on the back corner at the bottom (on the battery door), where it made first contact with the pavement.... didn't even knock off the black paint Further proof to me that these little gems are tough as nails, and worth every penny of the $30 price-tag... I'm not so sure I'd want to try that with my IPV minis, or any of the more expensive box-mods...
  4. Perhaps a small pick-up? Or, at least the sizable trunk-space of a Town Car?
  5. Economics and convenience... I do like exactly the same as Tam, and just carry a different flavor in each tank. To me, it's a whole lot easier to swap tanks than it is to deal with a gimmick (and possibly temperamental) tank. BTW, Efest has a hard-side, 3-battery pouch, which is designed to hold three 18650 batteries, but it also holds a 22mm tank (KPT2 size) and a Cloupor mini (iStick size), with room at the top for a spare coil. I frequently carry my back-up Cloupor and back-up tank this way... and since the pouches were 99-cents, I bought six of them... oddly enough, I rarely use them to just carry three batteries
  6. Congrats Tug! She's beautiful... now, you're on 20-yrs of "guard-duty" to keep away the evil boys
  7. I left the house one day for a day-trip... technically, I left the house with 4 working devices, two tanks, spare coils, etc.... The main device went dead, I had to use my MVP to put a little charge on my dying cell-phone, one back-up was dead (even though I charged it), and I managed to get home on the 4th back-up, just before it died too... So, NO, you can never leave the house with too many back-ups!
  8. Oh, they are... my 5-yr old "wallers" them to death, and they eat it up! Alice is a huge attention hog, and loves to be petted and loved on (thinks she's a lap-dog, too). I wasn't out to get a great Dane, but my daughter talked me into buying her (for her), but since dad had to train her and house-break her... she's now "dad's dog" I'd love to have another one or two of them... they are fantastic indoor dogs, and love to be loved... but they are stubborn as a defiant teenager, until they hit 4-yrs... then they chill a bit... so it takes a firm hand to get past 4-yrs of "terrible two's"!
  9. This is Alice... 7 weeks old... she's a mix of English Setter and English Mastiff This is her at 1-yr... (she's now 2 1/2), but she still thinks the recliner is hers Even at 180 lbs! This is Bella... Great Dane @ 7 months... and she's only gotten bigger... she now claims the entire couch!
  10. Thanks Tug and Tam! She is a beautiful young woman... but I may be a bit bias, lol It's hard to tell from the photo, but she's 6'1" (and has been in modeling since she was 10)... he's 6'3" (but he's wearing shoes, she's not) Yes, Tam... I was able to without limping... I'm not 100%, but the pain is almost gone. The worst part was breaking into tears when I lifted her veil and kissed her forehead... and again with the father-daughter dance... we both did... but they were happy tears...
  11. Well, after month and months of preparation, and 3 days of getting it all together... I gave my daughter away this evening! I'm happy and sad at the same time... but even though she's now married, she's still my baby-girl, and always will be!
  12. Got my black iStick 50W today, and my second IPV-mini 2 One more and I get a set of steak knives, right?
  13. Just because you car's speedometer registers to 140, doesn't mean you have to do 140 out of the driveway, through town, or on the highway Just because the device will do 50W, doesn't mean you have to use it at 50W for every tank / situation. It will function perfectly fine at 8W, 10W, 12W, etc for your Aerotanks or any others. Prices right now are ranging from $40 to $60, and the best price is the price you're willing to pay
  14. I had the same problem... one of the coils read 0.18, the other 0.27 (which was the only coil that would fire on my IPV-mini2)... the other coil will have to be used only on the mech-mod. Once I run through these two coils, I want to try their 0.5 dual-coil and 1.2 single-coil. So far, I'm digging this tank!
  15. I have a full-size, running 1.6 Ohm BVC, and depending on the juice (of course), I run it between 8 and 12W... usually in the 8-10W range.
  16. Flavor is quite good, but my more "complex" flavors seem to be washed-out a bit... single or two-flavor mixes are quite good, though. Vapor production is excellent, even with a 50/50 juice, but only if you restrict the air-flow to half or less... wide-open and you get too much air and not enough wicking (but not so little that it burns the coils or juice). If that makes sense? Think of it like leaving a trickle of water from the faucet, rather than a steady stream But, once I dialed down the air-flow, the vapor production increased BIG TIME. One more thing I didn't mention is that the tank body is not nearly as heavy (read: thick) as an AeroTank's body, and the thinner materials do heat up quickly if you take a long lung-hit @ 80W (but it also cools down quickly too). Be aware this heating may darken juice quickly...
  17. Today, I received my Arctic Tank from MyVapeDeal.com! My first impression is that it is a beautiful tank, and well packaged with clear plastic coffin-box and cut-foam fill to protect the tank and spare coil. The one I received came with two 0.2 Ohm Bottom Turbine Dual Coil cartridges, and they are made with 100% USA Kanthal and Organic Cotton. The tank had virtually zero machine oil on it, and cleaning was almost unnecessary. The tank reminds me of a Kanger AeroTank, with a huge-bore drip-tip and four massive 3.3mm air-holes. Break-down of the tank is simple, as the tank body does not come apart... which is one of the major drawbacks, because if you break the Pyrex tank section, you cannot replace just the glass First fill-up on the tank and first vape (wide-open air-flow), and the draw has NO restrictions. Actually, even at half-open, there is very little restriction. To get the feeling of a Kayfun or Russian, you have to virtually close the air-flow! At 4.0V (80W) on my mech-mod, the vape is very warm, and reminiscent of dripping, based on cloud and Nicotine-hit. I had to quickly dial it back to 60W (using my IPV-mini2 - which BTW, had issues firing it at first, because it read lower than 0.2 Ohms) to get a "comfortable" vape out of it, using 50/50 juice @ 6mg Nicotine. This thing is also a juice-hog, as it burned through 1ml of juice in about 20-min. My second juice to try was a 20/80 3mg, and the coil wicked it VERY well... no dry hits, no burnt taste, and just a good, clean vape... like dripping. I would love to try this with the 1.2 Ohm single-coils, as well as the 0.5 Ohm single or dual coils. I think this thing would be excellent with a little higher Ohm coil. Sorry, no pictures of the unboxing, but I'll post some of the tank soon Overall, I give it 4.5 stars out of 5... with my only complaint being the one-piece Pyrex/steel tank body, but it's not a deal-breaker by any means!
  18. Isn't it a great feeling to go hours and hours without a vape before you realize you haven't "needed" it? I've been finding that out more and more lately, too... even when I have it with me, my activities occupy my mind more than "where's my pack and lighter" feeling... although driving in the car for long distances are still a tough spot, where I "need" my vape gear... or a snack, or cola, or all three
  19. Remember them? YES! We had one in the basement with a 25" color Zenith... The TV died many years ago, and when flat-panel LED's were cheap enough, dad ripped out the old CRT and popped in an appropriate-size wide-screen with sound-bar, and covered the "gap" (and sound-bar) at the bottom with speaker grill cloth to match the side speakers. Turn-table, 8-track, and radio still worked beautifully in it, too... In case you hadn't noticed... dad never threw much away (at least not furniture). I think my sister has it now?
  20. Avocado green... Yep, that's the color... We too had the burnt-orange, heavy-Naugahyde couch and "matching" Avocado green loungers (with ottomans) in the living room in the late '60s or early '70s. Those things were still in the basement, and looked like new when my father passed away a couple years ago. I put them on Craig's List and some vintage-furniture-nut went crazy over them... I made $300 for the couch, and $200 each for the two chairs! I gave him the floor-lamps and two end-tables that looked like speakers (brown burlap-ish cloth on the doors) that went with the set, lol. Wow the memories... but more than that... furniture and appliances back then were made to last! Dad had the Harvest Gold fridge (that matched the stove) in the garage for extra storage and beer, up until the mid 2000's?
  21. Welcome to VT! Which Aspire tank do you have? Without knowing the specific model, it's kinda like saying you're having trouble with your Chevy or Ford...
  22. I'll second that one! One of the first things I did for my mother after I got out of college ... I bought her a new stove... That harvest gold stove from the early '70s HAD to go... LOL. She's also lucky we got a new washer/dryer when I was in HS... those dull green ones from '77 were an embarrassment to wash your clothes in
