  1. The whole tank is worthwhile, but yes, the V2 base also fits the V1 Aerotank, KPT2, and KPT3. The base threading is the same, at least across those tanks. If you like the V2, then it may be worthwhile to upgrade your V1 tanks with V2 bases... (I have for two of my V1's, but not all of them), and moved those V1 bases to KPT2 tanks.
  2. I've not found anything on the weight on any site, but two of the sites listed total shipping weight of only 60gm more than the iStick. I doubt that is the total difference in weight because it is probably just a shipping estimate for costs... but we can at least guess it will weigh the same or a tiny bit more than the MVP 2.0, MVP 20W or MVP 30W? Yes, that is more than the iStick, but not nearly the "brick" weight of the VTR or some of these other box-mods
  3. I tried one from my local B&M, and it tasted like sugar-coated (dirty) sweat-socks, filled with sugar and a dash of cream... YUK! Contact Compenstine (Fadoravapor.com)... he's a member here, and if it can be done, he's the man to do it!
  4. Yes, he does They could use a tiny bit more air-flow, but for their performance and durability... I can't find a (non-sub-ohm) drop-in coil tank that I like better! Yes, I use RTAs daily, and RDAs occasionally. Yes, I have sub-ohm tanks, and yes, I still use my KPT2's with air-flow-control bases... but of all the tanks I use, the Aerotanks (V1 and V2) and my Russian 91% RTAs see the most use.
  5. I don't think I'd be tempted to wrap them... the honeycomb texture looks pretty cool, and I'm sure it provides an excellent grip, too. I also agree, the placement of the buttons (and the left/right screen rotation) will make these highly appealing as an upgraded alternative to the iSticks. I'm sure they'll be much heavier than the iSticks, too, but that is a good thing (to me). The weight and contour is why I love the IPV-minis so much... but I'll have to order a gold MPV 3.0 Pro... just for the looks of it, but I think I'll wait for the price to drop a bit, or for the non-kit versions (Innokin tanks don't impress me as much as their APV's do)
  6. Tam, I saw the info on these a couple days ago, and the first thought I had was of you pre-ordering one in every color At least we all can agree that the MVP line of products from Innokin are top-tier devices and quite bullet-proof! I think the Eleaf line of iSticks may be seeing their market-share drop very soon? I just bought the iStick 50W, and it hasn't been blowing my skirt up, if you know what I mean... other than huge battery life, I'm not all that impressed, BUT, I think I'll be all over that gold MPV 3.0 Pro!! I still use my year-old MPV 2.0, and that thing has been through hell and back, and still looks (and functions) like new C'mon Tam... you know you want a gold one and a pink one
  7. I agree, the airflow on the Arctic is fantastic, and using a 1.2 Ohm coil (single-coil, but it is a good coil) makes it work like an AeroTank on steroids. Tam makes a fantastic point... aside from the obvious flaws of the Nautilus, it's 5ml size only provides a larger pot for cooking the juice as you vape it. Personally, I prefer tanks < 4ml for that reason. The standard 2.5ml Kanger tank size is perfect for not having too much juice sitting there cooking, yet still providing enough for all day (or most of the day) vaping. When I'm using a juice that seems to be sensitive to heat, I generally use my KPT3 minis, which only hold 1.5ml, or I'll only half-fill my 2.5ml tanks. My Russian's don't cook juice nearly as badly as the Kanger/Aspire tanks...
  8. To me, they function the same as far as air-flow, flavor, vapor, etc. because they are the same.... just different construction materials, which makes the Genitanks more affordable. I have no problems with the copper Genitanks, but eventually (maybe in several years?) the chrome plating will wear away? I've had all copper RDA's, and to me, they make the juice taste funky, compared to the neutral, food-grade stainless steel. For that reason, I'll spend the extra few bucks and get the all stainless versions (non-Genitank).
  9. But... But... But... What about your backups for your backups, for your backups?
  10. The genitanks are made of copper and then plated with chrome (IIRC).... The standard tanks are all stainless steel, no plating.
  11. Haha, I was about to suggest a wrap for the pink one... but then again... what's wrong with pink? (other than the fact the iStick pink is rather "electric", lol)
  12. Congrats Tam... I'm so glad you (and others) were here on this forum when I joined... If not for you, and those like you, many of us would never have made the switch to vaping. Your guidance and encouragement would have been sorely missed, and many hundreds of ex-smokers have people like you to thank for their new-found lives... Here's to year #4... and 10, and 20!
  13. I agree with the desire to offer better equipment and juice at reasonable prices, but I too have looked at the cost of start-up (and maintaining) a B&M... a GOOD B&M, that is... And, I agree with B... the risk was beyond my threshold of comfort. It kills me to see every thrift-store, tanning salon, video-store, and gas-station selling clone 650mAh eGo-T starter-kits (with a Ce4 and USB charger) on the cardboard card for $22... and juices that are the worst of the worst (for $15+ for 30ml)... The good B&M's are few and far between, and those tanning salons and other non-vape businesses are partly the reason new vapers get discouraged with the products. More power to you if you can accept the risk and open a good store-front, offer a good selection of quality merchandise, and most of all... have educated employees that aren't just there to blow vape-rings at customers!
  14. If you're talking RDA, something I'd love to see would be screw posts like on a motorcycle battery... where the screw "lifts" a block upwards against the solid wall.. where you can get larger diameter coils in the slots, or get multiple coil legs easily into the slot and compress them firmly for the best connection! Bonus points if the screws are Allen-head or wings. I'm getting tired of stripping-out tiny-a##, weak Philips-head screws
  15. The 50W I recently bought came with the QC card, although the two 20W models I bought right after Christmas did not have any QC cards (but the 20W models came from the V|T Store, so there should be no doubt to their authenticity). .
  16. If the circuitry is working properly, leaving it connected to the USB cable after it completes a charge-cycle will not damage it, nor will it allow it to overcharge... However, do you trust the circuit board? I never charge any Li-Ion or Li-Po battery without being able to be "near" it while it charges, and never while I'm sleeping... better safe than sorry, you know? There's always that one chance in 10,000 that something will fail, go wrong, or blow-up.
  17. AeroTanks (V1 and V2), KPT2 with air-flow-control base, and AnyVape Davide (with KPT coils and air-flow-control base) are my three favorite drop-in coil styles. I typically use these daily at work or whenever I'm away from home... they're cheaper than my RTAs, expendable if dropped, and still provide great function and flavor. For RTA, I have to say my Russian 91% are my go-to tanks... use them every day, primarily in-home use! For sub-ohm tank... I am really digging the Arctic Tank from Horizon, but the 0.2 Ohm coils were too much for me, so I started using the 1.2 Ohm coils (yeah, not sub-ohming, lol), and the vape is excellent.
  18. Update... I couldn't take the 0.2 Ohm coils anymore... just too low, too hot... So, I stopped by the local B&M yesterday and (fortunately) they had 1.2 Ohm single-coils for it. I grabbed two, and I must say, they make all the difference in the world! With the higher air-flow, I can take the 1.2 Ohm coil to 20W (and higher) and get a full, flavorful vape. So far, these Turbine-coils have yet to give a dry hit, don't leak, and don't gurgle, even with 50/50 juices. I may still try their 0.5 Ohm dual or single-coil cartridges, but I'm pretty sure they'll be quite hot, too.
  19. Apparently, I'm known as the "authority" on vaping at work A co-worker tracked me down today and told me he was ready to make the switch to vaping (per his doctor's recommendation), before he ended up with the stroke or heart-attack his doctor is predicting for him in the next 5-years, and he heard I was the guy to talk to (which was news to me, since I don't have a sign on the back of my chair, lol). Anyway, he said he had $200 to spend, TODAY, and wanted to get started. He knew prices were going to be better online, and he'd get more bang for his buck that way. He had tried with a basic eGo and Ce4 years ago, and gave up on it quickly because of the poor life of the clone batteries and he didn't care for the hot vape of a top-coil. Sooo... we went shopping (and educating) I talked him into buying an iStick 50W (but he bought two), and he also bought two AnyVape Davides and two AeroTank V2's... and of course a 5-pack each of single and dual-coils for the tanks. All together, he still didn't spend all of his $200... barely broke $150. After work, I took him across the street to the local vape-shop and helped him pick out some juices (he bought 4 bottles (and a sampler-pack)... and the guy behind the counter gave him a KPT3 mini and EVOD twist (clean, used equipment they keep for those in need) so he would have something to use until his vape-mail arrived (hopefully on Monday). I wish more doctors would recommend vaping to their smokers... but at least his doctor has some common-sense and suggested vaping as an alternative (to save his life).
  20. Every vape supplier should begin sending all vape-related gear and liquids to Indiana in plain brown packages (zero labels or indication of the contents)... Last time I checked.. the USPS does not open and inspect packages entering a specific city or state to verify contents or to look for tax violations.... and the state cannot legally require a Federal entity to do so on their behalf! What this is designed to do is to kill the small businesses and market for e-cigs in the state, thus pushing everyone back to analogs or Big-tobacco's cig-a-likes... either way, it's a win-win for the state government. Big Tobacco has to pay a settlement based on the number of packs of cigarettes sold in each state, and their own cig-a-likes qualify as a pack per each stick sold. They get the sales, and the state increased their "settlement check". Adversarious is correct... it's always been about the money, and always will be! Prohibition was all about the liquor taxes, not about the liquor!
  21. ^^ This ^^ I get the same thing when I go hunting... the moment the truck heats up, my tanks begin to flood. The same thing happens in the late soccer season... even sticking my vape in my pocket is enough to warm them enough to flood. I live in the mountains, and driving daily to work (about a 1200' difference in elevation) is enough to cause minor flooding of any tank that isn't being actively vaped during the trip. When I ride my motorcycle, I have learned to make a pit-stop at the gas station before I hit the parkway/Interstate (about 1000' drop in elevation) and take a few hits off the device to equalize the pressure... either that, or I take an empty tank to work and fill it when I get there. Either way prevents flooding/leakage.
  22. The silicone sleeves are more for "grip" than protection, but they will absorb/distribute impact from small drops, bumps, and bangs. Dropping one onto concrete from 4' may not fare well, but a sleeve may lessen the size of the dent or eliminate the burr/chip on the corner?
  23. I have five IPV-minis... three 30W and two 70W, and I love them. As already mentioned, the finish/paint sucks and wears-off quickly where you constantly touch it. Silicone skins or wraps are the instant solution. The silver ones do have "faded" spots, like on your car when the clear-coat wears thin, but it is not nearly as noticeable on the silver or the gold as it is on the black, blue, and pink).
  24. Nicotine absorption rates are affected by heat... lower ohm coils provide more heat, thus more rapid absorption of nicotine. As you go down in Ohms, you lower your Nicotine. Those of us who drip and run 0.5 Ohms or lower, MUST lower the nicotine levels. At 1.5 Ohms and 18mg, that is about right for someone who is starting out, and smoked about a pack a day. If you drop to sub-ohming, you'll want to cut that nicotine level in half or a third (6mg), because you'll get the same volume of nicotine (that you're use to) through absorption because of the higher heat.
