  1. I would have sent mine back, but they wouldn't answer my emails to give me an address! I guess they didn't appreciate honesty, lol. Plus, I wasn't too keen on having to pay out-of-pocket to return it... so, I kept it! For now, it is sitting on my shelf, in it's pretty box, and maybe one day I'll re-work it to make it functional, but that may be many years down the road? In the mean-time, that company gets zero of my patronage or praise...
  2. Yeah, it's not really clones of clones, it's just different levels of quality... I have some clones that are 1:1 to the authentic, and some clones are so poorly made, you can spot their defects a mile away. I have no issues buying clones, and have many Russian clones, all which perform as they should, some with minor quirks, but all fully functional... and even the ones I paid $15 for are just as good (functional) as the ones I paid $40 for... I have some mechs that are poor clones, some that are 1:1... you just have to be careful with what you buy, and where you buy it from. Some (less reputable) online shops (like, cough, eBay) will show images of the authentic or their best-sample of clone, and what you get may be the worst of the worst. I have a Squape Reloaded that is one of those "wost of the worst" clones... the deck shorts-out because it is poorly machined and the o-rings are too small/thin, and the plastic tank section was poorly glued to the steel tank section, so it leaks when you lay it on it's side Thankfully, it was a promo gift in lieu of a review (no money invested in it), but unfortunately my honest review wasn't appreciated, so the company kicked me off their roster of reviewers.... I'm sure if I said it was the greatest invention since sliced-bread, I would still be getting freebies to test/review, but I'm not the kind of person to lie about quality.... Because of this, I won't buy anything from that company any more... not because they removed me as a reviewer, but because they obviously are pushing junk and only posting stellar reviews (lying) to promote the products they sell.
  3. Open a PhotoBucket account... they're free... upload your photos there, and once they are in your library, click on a photo, and look to the right... you'll see a listing of different quick links. Use the one for WEB IMAGES... then paste that link into the body of your post.
  4. The Sigelei 150W is a nice device, and has all the power you'll likely ever need. To me, it would be like buying a Porche to drive 1-mile to work every day, though, because I rarely ever need more than 60W Everyone's needs are different, though, and if the price is within your budget, I say snag it! Batteries... never mix different brands, different mAh ratings, different Amp-ratings, or even old/new batteries in a dual-battery mod. Rainbowtears suggested two good batteries, and I absolutely endorse the Samsung 25r! For a 150W box, I might also suggest Purple Efest 2500mAh, 35A batteries. Whichever you get, always purchase at least twice as many as you need! Your mod takes 2, so I'd suggest buying 4 or 6, so you will always have a pair ready to swap-out. Also label them in pairs A-A, B-B, C-C, etc. so you can always keep a matched pair together. They'll last longer and perform better that way, IMO.
  5. Welcome to VT, Sarah! Nicotine-wise... I'm getting less and less, than when I smoked, and I'm not letting my juice burn up in an ashtray, nor do I miss the smell or taste of smoking Vaping is also CHEAPER, as well as less-harmful than burning plants and sucking toxins into your body! The nice thing about vaping is that I can go many long hours without a "hit", compared to smoking, which was one after another... For me, now, it's less about cessation (been well over a year since I last smoked an analog), and more about the flavor and the hobby of it. Yes, I still get my nicotine, but probably about 2-3 analog's worth of nicotine daily? I could probably go 0-mg nic, but I don't bother... because nicotine is not the cancer-causing ingredient that gov't wants you to think it is. Caffeine, sugar, nicotine, etc... all in moderation, lol As for what is "normal" for most people... that is subjective... I was a heavy smoker, and 1.8% (18mg/ml) was the key to breaking me away from analogs. For some people, 12mg will do it, for some, 24mg or higher is necessary. Most of us tend to settle somewhere between 6mg and 18mg for our daily vaping... but it also depends on the rig you're using (tank, RTA, RDA, cartomizer, etc), and how often you take a drag... Chain vapers will go lower nicotine levels... those that take a hit every few hours may use much higher Nic levels, but I guess if you look at daily intake, most are in the 6-18mg levels?
  6. Taste is subjective... for flavors, and for brands... what I think is awesome, you may think tastes like damp socks? There are thousands of manufacturers and flavors out there... you just have to find what you like, but as Jason said, Comp does have some tasty juices. If you have a "good" vape shop around you, they'll have a large sample (juice-bar), where you can sample anything and everything they have, to find something you like. But, as most of us can attest, what you love when you first start vaping will eventually be replaced by another, and then another, and then another Variety is what makes this so great!
  7. Welcome to VT! At 0.38 Ohms and 80W, you're pushing over 14A and 5.6V. Using 100% VG juice also means max cloud production (as capable by the juice, anyway). Is your coil a macro or micro? What diameter mandrel did you use to wrap them? Are they identical?? Too much cotton, too small surface area, too close to the air-holes, etc? Cloud production is about airflow, yes, but also about surface-area, wicking ability, and vaporizing the liquid fully, yet not cooking it... A picture of your rig and build will help a lot! Are you vaping for the cloud production, or for flavor, or for smoking cessation?
  8. I run my VTC4's without any issue for sub-ohm... They are safety rated to 20A, but can handle more. To hit 21A, you'd have to be running a coil < 0.20 Ohms @ 4.2V (88W)
  9. I also suggest going "regulated"... anything from Pioneer4You (IPV), Sigelei, Cloupor, and there are several of the DNA clones that are excellent. If you are after flavor more than clouds, a tank system like the Subtank mini or Horizon Arctic are excellent (with pre-made coils of several available resistance levels), and the Subtank mini will also have an RBA deck so you can customize. For flavor, you don't need huge Wattages... I get fantastic flavors from my tanks and RTAs, running from 0.8 Ohm dual-coils to 1.5 Ohm singles... and rarely going over 25W for most juices... I have only one juice that can tolerate over 50W before it diminishes flavor and replaces it with heat and harsh vapor.
  10. Yes, that is how most of us do it. I currently run a dozen batteries in rotation. When you're running multiple mods, it's not an exact science and you can't keep them in perfect rotation, but I try to keep them straight... With one device, it will be much easier to keep them in rotation. One trick I've found is to label them in some order with a Sharpie... alphabetical? Put a date of purchase on them? Ancient Egyptian glyphs? You decide (I usually buy them in 4's or half-dozens, and put the date of purchase on them, along with A-B-C-D....)
  11. When running 0.25 Ohms, you will need to re-wick often... I do, lol... Also, at 0.25 Ohms, your Battery will exhaust quickly (as you've seen), because of the high Amp draw. 0.25 Ohms @ 80W is only 4.47V, but 17.9A!
  12. If you've never been a smoker, I won't knock you for having juice with Nicotine, but I have to ask, "Why?". If you are sensitive to Nicotine, as suggested, buy the same flavor in 0-nic and mix the two 1:1... that will give you 3 mg Nicotine. I would suggest that you don't go any higher than that, AND if you're going to sub-ohm, you may think about mixing even more 0-nic, say 3:1 to get to 1 mg nicotine... or just use the zero?? Nicotine is absorbed MUCH faster by the body when it is hotter, which is why when sub-ohming, most of us use 0-6mg Nic levels, even though we'd vape 12-24 mg in a non-sub-ohm tank.
  13. First of all, welcome to VT! 2.5 Ohms @ 80W? Now wonder you're running through batteries... your mod is having to kick the Voltage up to 14V to give you those Watts (and only using 5.5A). You're probably getting a lot of build-up on the coils too, because of the high resistance? I'd suggest for an RDA, that you pull your coil builds down to 1.0 - 1.5 Ohm and you'll be able to cut back on your Wattage/Volts... it will give you a better vape, IMO. For a dual-coil build, both coils have to be identical, and 2.0 - 2.5 Ohm (each), so when you mount them, the resistance will be halved (two 2.0 coils in parallel give you 1.0 Ohm resistance overall). To answer the last question... YES, you should have a couple of other batteries handy through the day, even if you don't use them... backups and backups of your backups! Carry them in a proper, plastic container (not loose in your pocket or pack, so nothing shorts them out), and you should try to maintain similar batteries... the Purple Efest you're using now are good batteries. As for coils and wicking techniques... I suggest you watch a lot of YouTube videos on coil building! There are several threads on here where people have shared coil and wicking techniques, but at the end of the day, you have to decide what works for YOU and your style of vaping.
  14. Congrats! I love the subtank mini, and I've been wanting to get my hands on the new sub-box, too I'm envious...
  15. I bought those same Selena pads back in July or August last year... I gave Comp several for testing, gave away several stacks of 10 to friends, and I bet I still have 150 left!!! 800 of them... you'll NEVER have to buy cotton again, nor will your children, or you grandchildren
  16. The sad truth is that our government and politicians are addicted to our tax dollars (far more than anyone could ever be addicted to a cigarette or alcohol), and they salivate over any scheme that will generate MORE revenues for their coffers. They're all about taking from a small percentage of the public (so it's not seen as a blanket tax on everyone, which is illegal)... sin taxes on alcohol and tobacco... taxes levied on specific sectors of the economy... etc. etc. etc.... Lobbyists and special interests sway politicians (with a huge contribution) to make them see good/bad, right/wrong, saints/sinners through THEIR eyes, and all of a sudden there is a 10-cent tax on caffeine/sugar in your soda... a $2 tax on your tanning-bed session... a 20-cent increase on the cost of a chocolate bar... and heaven forbid you desire a 90-oz Big-Gulp... you may go to prison for that one.... Sodium is good... no, wait, now it's bad... Natural sugar is good, no, wait.. Saccharin is the savior.. .wait...no... Equate... no... Sweet-n-low... no... wait... High Fructose Corn Syrup... no... everyone is fat now... I know... Natural sugar... yeah, that's good... Government needs to learn to do more with less... just like the rest of us do... Get out of out of my pocket, out of my kid's school, out of my bedroom, out of my car, out of MY BUSINESS! Catastrophic for the economy??? NO... it would not affect the economy negatively at all... it would affect the GOVERNMENT ONLY... in that they would not have money they can waste on their little pet projects like signs around an abandon building that say "Feral cats are not allowed on the premises"... or building 300 tunnels under a 50 mile stretch of roadway so turtles can use them to get to the other side of the road without getting squished... or how about the wires stretched across the highway in the Northwest so the squirrels won't have to cross the road.... I can go on all day... /rant-off
  17. Batteries in series double the voltage of a single cell, but discharge rate remains the same as a single cell. Batteries in parallel double the discharge rate of a single cell, but Voltage remains the same as a single cell. Your math is correct, you have to calculate Wattage and Amps based on 8.4V, but your continuous discharge-rate limit is still 30A. so yes, your calculation of 46.66A does exceed the safe limits for continuous discharge... however, the pulse limit of the VTC4 is 60A, isn't it? This is the grey-area... will the batteries pulse to allow safe function at that load? I can't say...
  18. Sadly, they are assembled dry at the factory (most likely), or at best, with a drop of water. As they sit in the warehouse and spend weeks/months in shipping, the o-rings tend to "bond" to the imperfections of the glass. I've had this happen to a KPT2 or two... when it does, I soak them in very warm water, and the o-rings will usually separate easily. Sorry you got a bent one... makes you wish their QC was a bit tighter...
  19. I have four, and three thread perfectly every time (effortlessly), but one does tend to lean towards cross-threading... I have to be very careful every time I screw on the battery cover
  20. Bebop is right, you have a coil failure or a short... it could be a simple loose screw on your posts, but since you have no experience, I agree that it would be best to have it looked at by someone more knowledgeable and experienced. Your Sigelei has safeguards for a reason, and it appears to be working perfectly... to keep you from blowing up your battery and injuring yourself or others around you!
  21. I love Buck knives and tools... have several that I love, but my favorites are my 110 hunter and 501 (which I carried daily until I dropped it and chipped the blade). Puma (German made) have some of the finest blades I've ever used, and I several of those as well... The "Major" is my favorite of the collection (my new daily carry). Before Taylor Brands LLC took over, I really loved Schrade and Uncle Henry knives. They "Smokey" lockback is a perfect size for pocket or belt-sheath. When they were made in the US, they were top-notch like a Buck, but now they are made in China, they are cheap, cheap, cheap. I've never cared for Case knives... to me they are over-hyped... and over-priced, lol... I've got several cheap-o's, and those from Frost Cutlery are decent blades for the cost. I just wish the handles and cases were better quality.
  22. Yeah, I'm waiting on the new IPV D2 as well... Temp control... yeah, will be nice, but I just love the look of it I hope they square you away on that mod soon... pretty crappy of them to hold the pre-order and keep pushing the release date back farther and farther... That black and brass one sure look nice, but if you can only see the pictures, it kinds sucks! It also sucks that it was top-of-the-line tech back in January, and now it's just kinda "common" for the chip-set and power offering. Still though, it is an awesome looking mod, and I hope they get it to you soon, or at least refund/credit you (plus interest) for waiting 6 months for nothing
