Yes, pure VG is rather nasty. Actual PG-based food-grade flavorings are CHEAP, and you can pick up 8ml bottles for about $1.50 each, and can mix your own easily, but you'll also probably need to buy food-grade PG as well. Personally, I'm amazed that your Ce4 is capable of wicking pure VG!

If you're holding the fire-button all the way through your draw, the coil is still hot, and still vaporizing liquid after you pull it away from your mouth... this is why it continues to seep vapor from the tip. A good way to minimize this is to release the button a couple of seconds before you stop your draw, and you still get the benefit of the vape as it cools-down, and it will also reduce wasting juice that way (burning after you stop your draw). Another thing to think about is when a coil is hot and vaporizing juice, without air-flow, there is no vacuum-effect to draw liquid to the coil/cotton to keep it supplied/wet, so it will dry out the coil. If it is hot enough due to high Wattage or long drags, it can even burn your cotton, which makes the next drag a "dry-hit", and thus further producing that disgusting flavor. Bottom-line... release your fire-button a couple of seconds before you stop drawing on the tip

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

Just four? I thought you hit that number about 3 orders ago -
I build most of my RTA's in the 1.2 - 1.5 Ohm range, so using the OCC heads @ 1.2 Ohm for me is little difference than what I am use to (and like) I hadn't noticed the 1.5 Ohm OCC heads... I'll need to look for those. I think they'd be even better with the larger capacity Subtank V2 Plus. That way the coil won't be so hot it cooks the juice in the tank and ruins several ML before you can vape them...

I recently mixed a juice that was cloudy from day-one, and never did clear up... and the taste was a bit off from what it should have been. None of the flavors you listed were in it, but several of the flavors were from TFA. The next batch I mixed with the same flavors was crystal clear, and tasted as it should, so I've no idea what caused the cloudiness unless it was something in the bottle or the base PG/VG/Nicotine, but other flavors made with those same PG/VG/Nicotine have been fine also.

Charger... I love my NiteCore i4's. I have two of them, and they just work well. The NiteCore D-series are similar, but have pretty LCD power-level indicators, rather than three flashing lights Batteries - These are the ones I trust, but other reliable ones exist: Samsung 25r (20A, 2500mAh)Efest (35A, 2500mAh) * note, newer 2800mAh have been released, and 2100mAh also exist @ 35A discharge rates*LG HE2 (35A, 2500mAh)Sony VTC4 (20A, 2100mAh) ** beware of fakes **

What kind of charger? Some chargers blink to let you know they are charging, and every charger is different (light color, especially).

You'll appreciate the 1.2 ohm coils far more. They make the subtank a KPT on steroids :D

Bump when you get something in vape mail.

You paid forward your Cloupor mini? Say it isn't so, Jason! I hope it went to a good home, where it will be loved and appreciated... -
^^ This ^^ I understand the desire to cater to the cloud-chasers and super-sub-ohmers, but for the other 9 our of 10 of us in the real world, we prefer a solid, single-coil option, and replaceable coil-heads in a 0.8 Ohm and higher option! IMO, the explosion of sub-ohm tanks has saturated the market, and those noobs to vaping are not getting good options for flavor and smoking cessation... they're getting pushed into "cloud-making", and expensive gear, which is not appealing, and turns away a lot of potential vapers! My last trip into the most well-stocked B&M locally, I was rather shocked at the selection... three cases of high-end devices, RDA's, sub-tanks, high-powered APV's, etc.... and one tiny selection of Spinners, KPT2's, Davides, Nautilus, coils, etc., and they were pushing the Kanger, Horizon, and Yocan sub-tanks HARD (along with $100+ box-mods, $20/each batteries, and $40 chargers). Yeah, it's more profit, but what is that doing for promoting vaping to noobs? (sorry, got on a little rant there, lol)

I'm sure it's been asked a million times.....

It all depends on the flavor... Some of my flavors (like chocolates) require higher concentrations (10% or more). Some flavors are strong to me, even at 1% (mixed with other flavors). Lemon is a robust flavor that I only add in drops, not milliliters Blending flavors (don't like single flavors), tend to be total concentrations of 20-25% for my tastes, but rarely do I use more than 10-15% for a single flavor in my blends. What tastes strong to you might be weak for others. I mixed a batch of Vanilla Ice Cream and thought it was way too strong, but the friend I gave it to said she thought it was a bit weak... then again, I mixed it 50/50 PG/VG (@9mg), and she's use to 80/20 (12-18mg) juices, too... Which further points-out the fact that PG is the flavor-carrier, so if you are mixing higher VG concentration juices, you will need to go higher % concentrations of your flavors. High PG juices will require less flavorings. -
I vote for the Kanger sub-tank too... As for your Nautilus... you're in good company with lots of us that were fed up with inconsistent coils, gurgling, leaking coils, and no better flavor than a KPT (and Aspire coils costing sooo much more!). I gave mine a good 6-month try, and finally gave it to a friend that is a die-hard Nautilus fan.

Yes... they've been around longer than the movie too http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FFIXXE And this is just the first one I found... there are hundreds of designs, including those that actually also contain lipstick, and those that fire actual taser darts (like the movie)
-
It would probably fall under the same fates as the failed attempts of cell-phone-taser, lipstick-taser, etc. Anything that even looks like a common-carry item (mostly for women) are not for self-defense, but to rid you of your money under the premise of "safety". Far too many women (and their household members) have been accidentally zapped by these devices. Personally, I would agree with Tam, and NEVER have a dual-purpose device (or even one that looks like a common device)... the flashlight-taser being a prime example, or the .22-LR cell-phone? ... Far too many accidents waiting to happen there.

The sweet-spot for Wattage settings will depend on the juice you're using, and the resistance of the coil (and to a small degree the tank you're using). Use this charts below as a good reference, but as always, start a new coil/juice out at low Wattage settings, vape, bump up the Watts, vape, repeat... until you get a slight burnt taste, and then back-off the power by 0.1-0.5 Watts... that should be the sweet-spot. The interval for replacing the wick/coil is not set in stone. Some coils will last for days, some for weeks, some for hours. But, when the flavor starts to diminish, or the draw becomes tighter, it's probably a good indication to change the wick (on an RDA/RTA) or replace the COIL on a standard tank (like KPT, Nautilus, etc.)

Vanilla can contain less than 35% Ethyl Alcohol (including down to zero %)... but for it to be FDA approved as "Pure Vanilla Extract", it must contain 35%. So, not "all" vanilla in the US contains 35% alcohol. Q. Isn’t synthetic vanilla just as good? A. Synthetic vanilla contains only one organic component – vanillin – the flavor and fragrance that we most associate with vanilla. Vanillin makes up about 25% of the flavor and fragrance bouquet. Because pure vanilla contains so many other flavor and fragrance components, it has a much richer smell and taste than vanillin does by itself. Synthetic vanillin just doesn’t compare with the “real deal.” Q. Is Bourbon Vanilla made from Bourbon? A. No. Vanilla contains at least 35% alcohol, but it’s sugar cane or ethyl alcohol, not that famous whiskey from Kentucky. The name Bourbon (pronounced bur-bone) comes from the period when the island of Reunion was ruled by the Bourbon kings of France. Bourbon now means Vanilla planifolia beans from regions other than Mexico. Q. Why does vanilla contain so much alcohol? A. Alcohol is the most efficient agent for extracting the flavor from the beans. Although most of the alcohol burns off in cooked foods, the flavor remains intact as the alcohol is simply the carrier for the flavor. The FDA requires that pure extract must contain 35% alcohol. Q. Are there non-alcoholic vanilla extracts? A. Yes and no. There are non-alcoholic vanillas but the FDA requires that they not be labeled Pure Vanilla Extract as they don’t contain alcohol. They are usually called Vanilla Flavor, are made in a glycerin base and usually contain as much vanilla bean extractives as extracts. They provide a reasonable non-alcoholic solution for flavoring foods and beverages. Most (but not all) vanillas used to flavor e-liquids are non-alcohol-base or vanillin flavored. I know the ingredients of all but one of my vanilla flavorings I use are non-alcohol-based, and I doubt the one that contains alcohol is 35%, because it is not labeled as "pure" and alcohol is last on the ingredient list. Also, 35% (70-proof) alcohol is not combustible.. meaning it will not sustain a flame on it's own. Try it... buy some cheap 70-proof Vodka and stick a lit match to it... it will not sustain a flame even if you hold the match to it. 100-proof won't even sustain a flame... (working as a bartender in the past, I can tell you it takes 140-proof or higher to set fire to a shot-glass of alcohol). Also, the volume of vanilla flavoring is usually around 10% in e-liquid, which further dilutes it 10-fold. Even with a 30% concentration of "pure vanilla" flavoring, would yield 12% alcohol content (or 24-proof)... most definitely NOT combustible.

New Temp Control - IPV D2 or Cloupor GT?
Earthling789 replied to Earthling789's topic in Variable Voltage & Wattage
That's one of the things I consider a draw-back of TC mods... the Ni wire I've been reading the threads and pains everyone has to get a decent build, and honestly, my low-Ohm threshold is 0.5-ish. Yeah, using TC, I could probably tolerate much lower builds (better flavor, less "hot"), but I'm still on the fence about making the move, and before I begin building any Ni coils, I think I'll experiment with pre-built heads like the Kanger sub-tank TC OCC? Between the two devices, I'm leaning towards the Cloupor... price and dual-18650's have my attention -
I've been looking at the IPV D2, and waiting for it to become available, but now I've seen the pre-orders for the Cloupor GT, and I'll probably get both, but if you can only get one, which one do you get? The IPV D2 is a single 18650 unit, with 75W max power. It is small, and I like that... but IPV has not had the best track-record with their paint and finishes, although their hardware is reliable. The Cloupor GT is a dual 18650 unit with 80W max power. It is still relatively small, and my Cloupor minis have been dependable work-horses. I guess price will be the biggest factor, but if the higher priced one is the best, price is a moot point? The IPV is suggested at $69, and a couple of sites have offered up coupons and deals to push them just under $60; however, the Cloupor looks like it will start at $50-55, and site coupons/deals will have it below $45 by the time they are ready to ship. So, which one would you choose?

Been vaping 1.5 yrs, and have zero negative side-effects. I'm healthier, happier, can make it to the mailbox and back without stopping to catch my breath (actually hiked 20+ miles recently and NEVER had an issue). I feel like I'm 20 again! My house and cars don't smell like stale smoke, neither does my clothes or body! I recently serviced my PC (added a new HDD), and guess what? The interior of my PC is NOT covered with sticky, brown nicotine and smoke residue! Like others have said... 99.9% of the mis-information is pushed by the Big Tobacco industry (to keep people smoking), Government nannies that need tobacco taxes to support their wallets and pet-projects, and FDA/CDC/AMA lap-dogs trying to push the agenda of government (also to garner tax money for funding). It is very sad that our government rely so heavily on tax dollars from sin-taxes like tobacco!

Yes, they are battery operated... button-cells (AG12/A76, or at least the ones I have use those), which you can buy in bulk-packs for cheap! I bought a pack of 50 for maybe $10-12, and each bug only takes two, and they last forever... or so it seems... If your son is into bugs, these will be a huge hit Oh, a box of ammo is always fun! But for kids of all ages, what about these? Ant Farm Bag of water balloons Pair of generic Nerf-style pistols (and extra darts)... my whole family's favorite way to blow off steam with each other

What your supernatural story/experience?
Earthling789 replied to Christopher's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
I can't explain the door, but this might explain the disappearance / reappearance of items https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQzL8Z_FRtM -
I bought two of those Syma copters for my sons, but I find myself playing with them just as often $18 each, shipped Prime from Amazon, is a steal for cool toy, and you can install a slightly bigger battery pack so you can get upwards of 15-min of flight time between charges! My youngest can't get enough of the HEX-Bugs... They run about $10 each and are just cool to let crawl around on the floor to terrorize the cat and dogs

Li-Ion batteries hold charge in storage/stand-by for many months, but LiPo won't hold the charge as long or as well. It is not good for them to sit on the shelf and slowly discharge. In my experience, rechargeable batteries that are not used do not last as long as they should. Regardless, all rechargeable batteries should be stored with full charge, not half-charge. More damage will occur if you store them in a depleted state. As suggested above, rotate them, and they both will last longer, and you'll never have the problem of one going dead, and the "standby" battery being dead on the shelf too.

California SB140 - California Specific
Earthling789 replied to Adversarious1's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
Won, not just for CA residents, but for all of the country! If it had pushed through and became law in CA, the rest of the country would have followed-suit within the next 5-6 years. -
California SB140 - California Specific
Earthling789 replied to Adversarious1's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
I'm not in CA, but anything those nannies do there will soon sweep across the country I'm 100% against classifying vaping gear and e-liquids as tobacco-products! Doing so will firmly entrench Big Tobacco in the driver's seat, and the only reason states want this to happen is so they can include vaping gear and e-liquid as "tobacco sales", to force Big Tobacco to pony up the dough politicians have already spent (before receiving it) from the Tobacco Settlement Agreement. "Smoking is bad, you must quit"... then the reality of lost tax-revenue hits them in the wallet, so they quickly look for a new cash-cow! I hope SB140 dies a horrible death on the Senate floor... TODAY!
