  1. I've been getting my stuff from Wizard Labs, and you'll soon find out there are 20 different flavors of chocolate (for example), across their different brand-names. For sampling, I suggest buying the $1.49, 8ml bottles until you find flavors/brands you like, and then on your next purchase, you can invest in larger bottles... 30ml or 120ml. The only time you should buy a larger bottle of anything is if the flavor is one you KNOW you'll be using, or the price difference between 8ml and 30ml (or larger) is only a buck or two... then if you only use 20ml of it and toss the rest out, you've still come out ahead... Comp is right (as usual) Heartland is cheaper (usually) on their Nic-base, but Wizard Labs runs sales on theirs from time to time... and any order over $65 ships free, Priority Mail, so there's that advantage too. I'd suggest comparing equal carts with each site, and see which one comes out cheaper, and order from that one.
  2. Hehehe... when I was still drinking coffee... I swear I needed a hose ran from the coffeemaker, straight to my arm! My "big" coffee cup is 36oz... my "regular" one is 24oz, and my back-up is 22oz Now, I use my big one for ice-water, and the other two are in the cabinet for emergencies. I do love the smell of coffee, but I don't miss it, really...
  3. I got a co-worker to watch Banshee a while back, and she started Season 1 on Saturday morning... she then called me on Sunday night almost in hysterics because ... "what do you mean I have to wait until January for Season 4??" I do the same thing with my weekly shows... I don't watch anything "live"... I download them and watch them commercial-free on the 42" screen in my office while I'm working... but here lately, I've been so busy with network changes, server updates, and adding new clients to our system, I've not had time to breathe! Maybe we get to have a life after we retire, at the rip-old age of 90?
  4. Oh, so you nee another one to watch... Check out Banshee (Cinemax show). 4th season starts in January, so you'll have time to watch the 30 episodes of the first 3 seasons... It is a GREAT show! Other good ones to catch-up on during the off-seasons... Orphan Black, Grimm, Black Sails (Showtime), Continuum, iZombie, The 100, Vikings, and Z-nation (well written for Syfy).
  5. Jason, you get the nail-on-the-head award tonight! You can give away $1000 worth of gear, but if that person doesn't have the desire to quit, they'll never use it beyond a "novelty". I think that was the issue when I first quit and moved to vaping... I expected everyone I met to toss away their packs and join me on the vaping band-wagon, so I gave away starters to those who didn't desire to quit, they just were okay with taking my freebies I was talking to a woman tonight at the scrimmage... she started to light up next to me, but paused to move downwind of me because "I see you're trying to quit, so I won't tempt you"... . Well, I told her that I quit well over a year ago, and I did appreciate her moving downwind Then I took the opportunity to see if she were interested in quitting, because I could show her how for less than the cost of two cartons of cigarettes... When she dodged the offer, I didn't push it... she wasn't ready. It is funny, though how she saw my rig and assumed I was "trying" to quit... not that I "had" quit!
  6. I knew someone would catch that Actually, tonight I was a good boy... one, standard, 4-oz glass. I'll save the rest for tomorrow night
  7. I know the feeling... I gave away several "starter kits" last summer, and only about half of them stuck with it beyond a few months... but look on the bright side, half of them stuck with it (and moved on to more advanced gear) You always gamble when you PIF gear, but at least I know that my MVP (and tanks) didn't go to waste... she'll put it to good use... she's staying strong, and trying hard to avoid the analogs!
  8. A friend of my son's stopped by the house this weekend, and she asked if I could fix her MVP... the 510 threads were stripped-out. Well, as luck would have it, I actually had an eGo-to-510 adapter, so once I screwed that down, she was back in business with her beat-up, hand-me-down MVP. Well, after talking with her a little bit, I realized she was pretty poor on vape-gear, and was struggling at times to keep herself in coils, juice, and was having all kinds of issues with her donated batteries (mostly ancient Spinners and that MVP that looked like it had been buried in the desert for 1000 years). Sooooo, I mixed her up 150ml of juice, gave her two boxes of Kanger BDC coils (1.8 Ohm), one KPT3 mini, and I actually parted with one of my beloved Aerotanks (V1's) AND my MVP 2.0! She's been a friend of my son's for so long, she's like an adopted daughter to me, so at least I knew the gear was going to "family", and that it would be put to good use! I know how she struggled growing up and I'd hate to see her go back to cigarettes, at such a young age (25), for lack of decent gear!
  9. After a long day of soccer team pictures and a varsity scrimmage match this evening... we were all too tired to move, but I did manage to toss some burgers on the grill, tater-tots in the oven, and pop a bottle of wine... I swear, I'll only have one glass
  10. Ah, yes, the big hair and high-waist, skinny-ankle Zena jeans with high-heels (and a cashmere sweater, for the really classy gals).
  11. Congrats on taking the plunge... Don't be too worried if your first few batches aren't up to "par", because getting the mixtures just right can be tough... and sometimes there are flavors in there that only enhance other flavors, so you don't know they're in there until you realize "something is missing", lol. Let us know how it turns out, and ask flavor questions... sometimes a flavor can be elusive!
  12. Now, in the 80's, if you really wanted to be cool, you dressed like The Hoff... Levi's and leather jacket with cowboy boots! Oh, yeah, can't forget the RayBan Wayfarers... or the oversized Aviators (Top Gun Style)!
  13. That's just it Cesar... there is no "optimal" spot for ANY tank these days... juice is so different, and coils are so varied... there just isn't a set-in-stone rule that says the KPT2 should be set at 8W or 4.1V or 400-deg... The juice/tank/coil combo determines the sweet-spot, which IS the optimal setting for that combo. Same juice in my KPT2, Nautilus, and Russian.... all preferred different Wattage settings to get the same vape. And, they were ALL using the exact same (or very close) resistances!
  14. I tossed my nylon "Members Only" jacket years ago, but I kept the grey leather one... still in my closet... but not worn since '83? JeffB... I like the pants... but the hat and lime-green Reeboks have to go, lol
  15. Yes, the charts a guideline to keep you in the 8W range, if memory serves... But we all know that not all juices like 8W... some like 12W, some turn to charcoal at 5W... so that is why we say 'sweet-spot'... start low, and keep turning it up until you get a burnt flavor, and back it down a notch or two... What gets me is one of my ADV's is best at 14W +/- a Watt or two... and the other can't be pushed over 9W... so when I put the wrong tank on the wrong battery, I sometimes get a huge surprise (and a crudded-up coil)...
  16. But... But... But.... How else will everyone see me?
  17. Your new KPT2 probably was using a coil that came with it? Chances are, the coil's bottom connection is loose, or you have one of the coil's wires sticking out too far, which is making contact with the negative terminal (outer edge of the 510 connection, the threaded part)... or the coil is shorted-out internally. Something is shorting it out, and yes, it could be that it is just screwed down too tightly. Try another coil, and you shouldn't have any issues.
  18. Wow, I didn't realize Arkansas had officially passed that ridiculous law already. That is going to be horrible for people in the state, as they will be forced to buy all their vaping gear from licensed shops and manufacturing facilities. Talk about killing an industry (and poisoning your tax-base). I guess the assumption is that people buying online aren't paying taxes on the internet sales anyway, so this forces them to pay the taxes to the state through official retail channels? What a bunch of morons they have in their state legislature! Another stupid thing mentioned was the per ML tax in Alabama... other states have tried this, and I hope it gets shut-down on them as well. 25-cents per ml is insanity, as that would add $7.50 to a 30ml bottle... effectively doubling the price of "basic" eliquids, and and if they pass it on juice, then they'll have a very easy time restricting sales and taxing (excessively) all VG and PG, because it "might" be used to make eliquids. This is along the same lines of me having to show an ID, and provide my social security number to a pharmacist before being allowed to purchase Nyquil!! All because some stupid kids might drink a bottle to get a cheap high from the Dextromethorphan (which is only 1mg/ml)... and the volume of Acetaminophen in the bottle would probably shut-down your liver long before you got high enough. I know one of our KY politicians proposed a per ML tax here... and it was shot-down long before it even wen to committee or was printed on paper. I hope AL residents are able to quash this as well! When will our politicians wake-up and realize that their constituents are NOT the state's personal piggy bank? ALL state, local, and federal governments need to learn to do with less, not more of our money, and they need do stop scheming like snake-oil salesmen or shady used-car salesmen to bilk us out of more and more of our money.
  19. Tam is spot-on... cigalikes are a complete waste of money! I tried them for more than 6-months, and never even slowed-down my smoking. I bought an eGo-style battery (actually 2), and two tanks from my local shop on 3/31/14, and that was the last day I touched an analog... I did keep a pack around for a week or so, just in case... but by mid April, it hit the curb with the rest of my smoking items... I kept my Zippo and my favorite ash-tray, though... the ash tray makes a good place to put my dead coils before I clean and rebuild them. I highly recommend the original Vision Spinner and Kanger ProTank3 mini. For the cost of a couple of cartons of cigarettes, you can pick up two batteries, charger, two tanks, and a spare box of coils (and even a decent case to carry it all in)... and you won't burn it in an ashtray and have nothing to show for it after 2-weeks... I still have my ORIGINAL starter-kit (well, one of the batteries, anyway), and still use it today... nearly 18-months later!!
  20. Not to mention the fact I've not bought anything vape-related in over a month... I was going into withdrawal (and i needed a matte finished authentic to complete my set)
  21. Maybe one day... maybe...
