  1. Watched it this morning... I agree it will be a slow burn until somebody screams "Zombie!", but so far, it is interesting, and looks like the plot will begin to unfold. The first few episodes of TWD had a few dry spots, too, so they could further develop characters. The problem with character development pre-outbreak is the fact there are too many possible characters! TWD didn't have that problem because there weren't that many people left, lol.
  2. I've helped dozens of smokers find a decent rig, and always push them towards simple box-mods like the iStick 50W or 30W, or eGo-style like the Vision Spinner (original), eGo-Twist, or Evod-twist, and the recommendation of Kanger ProTanks or Nautilus are dependable and rugged. I prefer the Kanger tanks because they are cheaper, and the coils are also much cheaper. Jason is spot-on with his pricing and recommendation... but I would suggest picking up at least two tanks, and eventually pick up a second battery (as a back-up). You should always have back-ups!! Eventually, you can pick up additional tanks, coils, etc. as you are no longer wasting money on smoking. Additional tanks allow you to have tanks ready for other flavors, so you can change your flavor without dumping/cleaning at tank.
  3. Jason's info was very good, regarding the relationship of mAh to discharge-amps. I've been using Sony VTC4 originally, but have switched to Samsung 25r (blue) and lately have been buying LG HE2 (red), as they seem to provide the best power/life for the lowest cost.... between $5 and $7 per cell depending on where you buy them from. Counterfeiting has been going on for years, and Efest/Sony have always been the targets of counterfeiters because they are popular... but any battery is subject to counterfeiting these days... so be cautious on where you buy from... especially places like eBay, and if the price is "too good to be true".
  4. Cany, you're getting great use out of that smoker! I'm jealous
  5. I don't know how you would handle the size/weight of this suggestion, but the button press is very light on the Cloupor Mini. They use 18650 batteries, and can be charged with micro-USB if needed. The battery door is magnetic, so easy to remove/replace, and the battery holder is "snug", but still easy to install/remove the battery. They weigh a tiny bit more than the iSticks (but are very durable because of it), but not has heavy as the Vamo or Provari, and I think they fit very well in your hand because they are small. Their lowest setting is 7W, though, which may be too high for you? But maybe not if you use a higher Ohm coil (like 2.0-2.4)?
  6. Like you, I really don't need to spend the money right now, but I really want one At the moment, the best price I've found so far is $44.99, but it seems every week or two, the price will drop, and maybe someone will have a Labor-Day sale, and knock another $5 off? At least that is my hope... A thermistor would be much cheaper, but if not contacting the coil, it would be horribly inaccurate... the difference in readings, on the same coil, being 2mm away and 3mm away would be anywhere from 20-50% error? Aww... you were the FIRST person I was going to send the link to
  7. I agree, for a starter RTA, the subtank-mini is probably the best out there (right now). If you like building, there are dozens of good RTA's out there, and if you hate building, you can always buy the OCC coil-heads and still use the tank! The subtank-mini also uses the regular dual-coil (Aerotank, KPT3) BDC Kanger coil-heads, too!
  8. Nope, I've been holding out for the D2 (or Cloupor GT80), but didn't pre-order one to see if the prices dropped... and dropped they did! I think by payday, they'll be practically giving them away
  9. Ahh, this is what I miss when I take time away from my computer to do things like cook and clean I bought some Nickel wire, and it should arrive early next week... and after payday, I will probably order an IPV-D2 so I can play with this temp-control stuff myself... and if I don't like it, I'll still have a decently priced 70W mod I've read somewhere about Innokin's TC mod/atty combo. I'm sure it will be over-designed, and over-priced, but still sounds like a sweet idea... where you can use any wire. I wonder if they will use an IR-sensor to monitor heat at the coil? If so, then you'll be very restricted on placement of the coil, and you'd have to really be careful of hot-spots, too.
  10. Wow, Tam... sorry that replacement didn't work for you... I'll be happy to take that one off your hands in the name of science... rip it apart and see what makes it tick? Who knows, maybe a couple strikes with the BFH might beat it into submission? LOL
  11. I agree... pure hype and BS... it has been Proven (through real science) that you cannot vape enough caffeine in a day to equal one 8oz cup of coffee... not even CLOSE! And the only thing missing from the image above is two more girls in bikinis, and one of them blowing a huge cloud (which AIN'T coming from that little vape-pen)!
  12. For someone starting out, I would recommend the iStick 30W or 50W, as Tam suggested above. The iStick 40W-TC is also great for beginners as the controls and settings are very simplified. The iSticks have a self-contained battery, so you'll have nothing more to buy. The Innokin MVP series mods are even better self-contained-battery devices, IMO, and they do come with an iClear tank (or two) included. Their 2.0 is 11W max, and they have a 20W version and the 3.0 is 30W. The MVP's are bullet-proof mods! Personally, if you are looking for a box-mod that takes rechargeable batteries, I love my 30W Cloupor-minis (which run < $30 without batteries). Another really cheap box-mod is the Kanger K-box. They're 40W, and running < $20, but are limited in their settings and control. But, for the price, they're not bad. The Sigelei mini (also 30W) are very similar to the Cloupor, and similar in price. If you can find a 30W IPV-mini... they are fantastic box-mods... they are my go-to for nearly the past year! The IPV-mini-2 are 70W, but are running in the $50-60 range, which is probably pushing the upper limits of your budget. Lastly, the IPV-D2 is a TC mod for < $50, and are getting great reviews. There are dozens more, but those are just my suggestions for a good starter.
  13. I do the same thing... I just pull over and grab a few hits, usually when I stop for gas or a drink of water. Yep, been there, done that... t-shirts are not that nice either I left my Russian in the car for about 30-min in 100-deg heat... it leaked all over my IPV-mini and the cup-holder was covered in juice
  14. Innovative idea, but I don't see it being actually practical... and heaven forbid the dripper-tip start leaking, which would happen in a closed, hot car as pressure builds!
  15. Yep, same thing here... going from IPV-mini to IPV-mini or IPV-mini to IPV-mini2, and Wattages vary only maybe by 1W? But same tank on Cloupor-mini to IPV-mini, and difference can be 1-10W, depending on the tank. I know on my iStick 50W (when I still had it), my Russian ran at 14W on the IPV-mini, but had to be pushed to 20-25W on the iStick. We won't even discuss the iStick 20W I had to use those in Voltage-mode or they would fry my coils, boil my juice, or barely produce vapor... it was a coin-toss using those in Wattage-mode.
  16. I got one of the Coil-Master kits to evaluate, and I do love it. The case makes everything easy to find and carry, and you have all the tools you'll need at your disposal. I also bought a set of the Kuro-coilers, and still use those from time to time, but when you have the "kit", you don't have to go looking for your pliers, tweezers, or cutters I've seen the Coil-Master kits as low as $29.99, but it's been a while. If you can pick one up for under $40, I still think it's a bargain.
  17. Looks like a dual-coil... so the tank would be a protank3. 9W is not a huge amount for the coil, and most juices will be happy with that. If you're sucking juice like through a straw, the coil is shot/dead/kaput. Toss it and try another one. But, before you do that... dump your juice, take the tank apart and clean it, inspecting the o-rings while you have it apart. Reassemble "snug", not over-tightened, pop in a fresh coil, refill, allow juice to soak into the coil for 5-min or more, then vape again, perhaps at 8W to start out... see how that works out for you...
  18. Let's hope he'll see it I just ordered a couple myself to have as spares/replacements for my KPT2's, or to PIF to noobs should I feel generous These are half the price of a KPT2, and coupled with the V3 air-flow controllers, I think they'll be an awesome single-coil tank for "out and about"...
  19. In case anyone is looking for them... VapeNW has the Aspire Anyvape Davide full-size on sale for $5.99 each, and $6.99 for gold. Yeah, they're not the originals, but they are still worth having for $6. and these still work with the Kanger V1 or V3 air-flow controllers (AeroTank V1/V2, KPT2, KPT3) and use the standard Aspire BVC, BDC, or Kanger single-coils http://vapenw.com/clearance/davide-bdc-glassomizer
  20. Great idea for the cuff-links... I'll have to remember that for the next "formal" occasion where I plan to wear shorts and a t-shirt Wine? Absolutely!! Can't have fish without a little white wine I was going to have the Chardonnay, but I found a bottle of Pinot Grigio and had that instead. I'll save the Chardonnay for next weekend when I grill the chicken?
  21. Well, then I guess I can stop looking for my cuff-links We grilled out tonight too... but I didn't grab any picture... nothing special, just some cod in a foil-pouch with diced peppers, onions, mushrooms, seasonings and butter, served over plain, white rice. I let it simmer on the grill while cut the front yard...
  22. Wow Tam... actual water glasses, plates turned all the same direction, forks on the left... I feel like I should be wearing a dinner jacket and bow-tie just looking at it
  23. Yes... the only thing better would have been a private beach, being waited on hand-and-foot by my private harem... but this was a close second
  24. Hahaha... after the week of hell I had at work last week, I've binge-watched season 4 and 5 (again) this weekend, along with several adult beverages, lol, to prepare myself for the spin-off and the upcoming season 6! I can't wait for both
