I'm sure I read somewhere that the tank section is plastic... so that rules it out for me to even consider. -
Yes, but not all box mod's have pre-cut wraps made for them... alternatively you can buy sheets of wrap (uncut) and cut one to fit your mod... a lot of people have done that with automotive-grade vinyl.

problems MVP 3.0 PRO WONT CHARGE
Earthling789 replied to Lilmissjb's topic in Batteries and Chargers
Welcome to VT! Many times when they won't charge, it is because the cable you're using is too lose to make/hold the connection, but it sounds as if yours has a defective battery pack or control-board, which may be the reason it won't fully charge and the reason it was hot, too? Try a new micro-USB cable and see if that works, but if it doesn't, I'd say your battery or board (or both) is defective and I'd start looking for a new device. -
Kanger NEBox opinions/suggestions?
Earthling789 replied to GRLSNGR's topic in General Vaping Discussion
What is the resistance of the coil you're using? PG/VG ratio of your juice? Nicotine level? Have you been vaping with a regular tank or is this your first vaporizer? When you go to sub-ohm, you MUST use lower nicotine levels (half, or 1/4, or even less than you would use with a regular 1.5-2.2 Ohm device), higher VG is preferred, and above all... sub-ohming is not for everyone... -
I've not done it myself, but several members on here have... A good enamel paint is a must, and you won't need a clear-coat unless you just want it. The clear-coat is usually very poor in resisting oils from your hands and will look like crap quickly. A good enamel paint will remain shiny and resistant to skin oils... and can be buffed-out and even waxed with great success. One of my black IPV-mini's is looking like it's been dragged behind a truck for a few miles, so I'm going to be sanding it to bare metal soon, and I'm planning to coat it with Rustoleum's oil-baesd exterior enamel (smoke grey with regal red diagonal stripe).

I really don't know where they get the Wattage ratings on those coils... @ 0.5 Ohms, 15W is 2.7V, and 60W is 5.5V... both well within the operational limits of the Subbox. As FXRich posted above, the Wattage you use is going to be determined by the juice in the tank. Some juices NEED higher Watts, some don't. I have some juices that taste like garbage once I pass 15W, regardless of the tank... and in the same tank, a different juice needs 25W to taste it's best... As always, start low on Wattage, vape, turn it up a bit, vape, repeat... once you get a slightly burnt taste, back it off about 0.5W and that is the sweet-spot for that coil/juice combo. Think of vaping like driving... just because your car can do 120mph doesn't mean you have to pull out of your driveway at 120mph! Start slow and work your way up to the "speed limit" of the juice, so to speak

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

Tam, VapeNW.com still has Anyvape Davide minis and full-size for $6.25 and $5.99 ($6.99 for gold) respectively. I just ordered a few of the minis for the SO to top her new VV eGo's with for work, and it never hurts to have a few $6 PIF tanks on hand, too -

I wouldn't' scratch it up, Tam... they're surprisingly not as big of a fingerprint magnet as you think... Mine stays shiny, and only on rare occasion does it need a little buff to remove the smudges. I'm glad you didn't get the black one... they dull and look bad after about 6-8 months... mine looks like crap, honestly. -

Did you get a matte or polished finish on this one? -
It feels great to have a batch turn out "right", doesn't it? I've been working on a new 5-flavor batch and after a week of trying different combos (and yes, a little suggestion from Comp), I finally realized that I needed to reduce the % of one flavor a tiny bit and add a 6th and 7th flavor... Now, it's PERFECT... or at least it is for me, lol. What I love most is saving $$! My SO and I are vaping more juice (twice as much at lower Nicotine levels, obviously), and spending about 5% as much on juice as we did from the B&M's... so I don't panic if I make a 5-10ml batch that doesn't meet flavor specs... it just goes down the drain or into the "mash" bottle to see what Flavor-Frankenstein I can come up with

Fantastic find Vapemama... I'm pulling the link to the study and going over it with a fine-toothed comb, but just the info you posted above should help greatly in our fight against regulation and Big-Government/Big-Tobacco control Also, contrast the 3.7% of Americans currently vaping daily to the 18% (estimated by CDC) of Americans still smoking at least half-a-pack daily... Hmmm... makes you REALLY think now, huh?

In a regulated mod, you'd want to use unprotected batteries, but QUALITY batteries, such as the ones from LG, Samsung, or Sony. Sony batteries are getting harder and harder to find (that aren't clones, seconds, or re-wraps), but if you can find authentic VTC4, those are good to use, and rated at 20A discharge. LG and Samsung batteries are my go-to batteries, but both are still only rated to 20A continuous discharge (30-35A peak @ 1-sec burst). Still though, even in your dual-battery box-mods, in parallel, that will give you 40A discharge (same Voltage as single battery, doubles the Amps)... Either way, as a single battery, they are good for running coils down to 0.22 Ohms without any issues or danger. If you are buying Samsung batteries, the 25R (Tiffany Blue wrapper) or 25R5 (green wrapper) are the ones to have... the green wrapped ones are the newest version. The pink wrapped 26F are 2600mAh, but I've not tried these yet, so I've no opinion on them for vaping. If you are buying LG... the brown wrapped HG2 are highest mAh rating @ 3000 mAh, and appear to be the current "king" of vaping batteries. The HE2 (red wrapper) and HE4 (yellow wrapper) are similar in function and 2500mAh, and I regularly use several of the HE2 without any problems. NOTE OF CAUTION: When using batteries in pairs for your box-mods... label them "A-B", "C-D", "E-F", etc., and keep that pair together forever... rotate their position left-right in the mod each time you replace them to ensure even use, and when one battery of the pair dies, do not re-marry the good battery to a brand-new battery... only re-marry it to another orphaned/divorced battery.

I TOLD YOU SO !!! -
Yep, it will work for you better in Voltage mode, and Tam is correct, 2.0 or higher Ohm coils are preferred for the iStick 20W. You can work with a 1.5, but you're pretty stuck at the lowest settings for Voltage I posted this in the duplicate thread you posted earlier, so I'll repeat it here in case one of the Moderators deletes the dupe-posting: I love my Cloupor Minis... I have several of them in 30W size and they are very reliable, rugged, and portable (small). They are roughly the size of two 18650 batteries side-by-side, but they only use one, obviously. You can pick them up from several places online for under $30... 101Vape.com, VapeNW.com, GearBest.com, just to name a few. They also have the 50W-TC version out called Mini-plus, which is the same size as the 30W mini. Another great small device is the Wismec Presa 40W or 40W-TC... they are smaller than the Cloupor and have a built-in 2600mAh battery. I have 3 of these as well, and they have been VERY reliable workhorses for the past few months! They run from $28-33 for the standard, and $36-42 for the TC version.

Need some help finding best price, older products

Neat clip! I'll have to show it to her tomorrow when she gets in from work and see what she says Gotta keep momma happy, right? -
Your next batch will be even better because now you know what it tastes like with the ratio you just used. If the butterscotch is strong on this one, back it off a % or two, and see if the next batch is better! I'm sure Comp has advised you to write down what you mixed so you'll remember... and encouraged you to make smaller batches until you have the ratios the way you want them. My first batch was 60ml of something horrid, lol, so I learned my lesson quickly to make my tests in 5ml or 10ml batches so I wasn't wasting precious flavorings and Nicotine Once you have a 10ml batch the way you want it... multiply everything by 12 and BOOM, you have 120ml/4oz of something delicious! And YES, it is addictive... I've gone from ~20ml/week (buying from local B&Ms and online) to 40-60ml/week of my own blends (double-to-triple my intake)... and spending about 1/10 what I was before

That's the beauty of RBA's... you can change the cotton out OFTEN and keep that wonderful flavor going. Sometimes I can get a couple weeks out of good organic cotton if I'm using low wattage and light colored juices... dark juices and high watts do their damage to the cotton, and you have to change it more often... sometimes every other day, even.

PG is thinner and is the carrier of flavor and throat-hit VG is thicker and is the component that makes vapor 50/50 is a good mix of the two, but you'll have to play around with what YOU like best. Most store-bought juices that don't tell you what their ratio is... are anywhere from 90/10 to 60/40, with most being 80/20, 75/25, or 70/30 PG/VG ratios. Most of us that mix our own are mixing 50/50 or even higher VG amounts for a more satisfying vapor... just be aware that as you reduce the PG content, you have to add more flavoring % to your mix to maintain flavor... and as you pass 70% VG, things start to taste like a glycerine bar... at least they do to me... regardless of how much flavoring you add to the mix.

VapeMama reminded me to check Sweet-Vapes... and they had the Kanger EVOD VV 1000mAh for $12 in their "discontinued" section... I snagged two of the pink ones and some coils for her Nautilus, coils for my ST-nano, and coils for our Aerotanks while I was at it Excellent price on those Tam... they only have Pink and Rainbow in stock, but I may grab a couple rainbow for her anyway (I'd get pink, but I just ordered pink EVODs from S-V), because you can't beat that price... and you can't have too many backups, right? -
This ^^ Light colored juices degrade coils slower than dark/sweet juices. I don't gauge my coils by time, I gauge them by the volume of juice that goes through them... because some of us go through 10ml a day, some of us only use 2ml per day. Sometimes I can go through 60ml (or more) with one coil, sometimes they need changing after 20ml have gone through them. So, if you're a 2ml/day user, you could get 10-30 days out of a coil using the above example. But, the general rule is to change them once flavor/vapor/air-flow diminish... coils are cheap in the grand scheme of things, so why keep using a "bad" one?

Yeah, I know I'm usually the one to find good prices on gear for everyone, but lately I've not been looking too hard because that tends to lead to me BUYING THINGS Here's the issue... my SO is an RN, and she needs to use eGo-style batteries while at work because they fit in the pen-pockets of her scrubs, and don't LOOK like a vaporizer to patients and staff... otherwise, she has to leave her Wismec Presa / Nautilus combo in her her purse, in her locker, or in the car, which means less time to vape on her breaks (and no stealth vaping in the bathroom, lol). I've given all of my eGo-T, EVOD Twists, and Vision Spinner I batteries away as starters over the past year or so, except one, which she's been using with a KPT3-mini. Last night, it died and can't be resurrected So, what I'm looking for is to find the best price for something in the 14-16mm diameter, preferably VV (but doesn't have to be) eGo-style stick battery, and something in the 900-1300mAh range so it will get her through the night (12-hr shifts). Brand is less an issue, but obviously Joye, Kangertech, Vision, Innokin, etc. are preferred You don't have to post links in the reply, but a web-vendor name and price would be nice... or you can PM me a link. Thanks in advance for helping me out and saving me from hours of searching prices!

The editor must have been in a coma or on vacation... how dare anyone allow the truth to be aired on the news!? Agents of Big Tobacco are probably disposing of the bodies of the reporter and the "expert" before sunrise "... found him with his face covered in soot and he was foaming at the mouth, gasping for air..." Yeah, something about this doesn't seem kosher...
