  1. @jasonculp So, the Herakles coils will work in the TritonV1/V2? See, I wasn't sure...
  2. I've been using a little bit of everything, but my favorite "simple" tank still has to be the Aerotank V2... the V2 actually uses the V3 aerobase, which will fit on the KPT2, KPT3, and Aerotank V1 as well... I don't see the Kanger BDC coils going anywhere too soon... there are too many of those tanks out there, and by offering them in an OCC version and such a wide-range of resistances, that tells me they are here to stay. The Nautilus is my SO's favorite tank, and of course the Anyvape Davide, using the BVC heads or the KPT BCC heads. If we're not using one of those, we're using the Kanger sub-tank (with 1.2 or 1.5 coils), or my Russian 91%.
  3. Hi Jack... welcome to VT! First of all, the coils you bought are for the Herakles Sense tank, not for the Triton/Triton2 tanks. To my knowledge you cannot use those coils in the Triton, as they will not fit. The IPV D2 is a temp-control device, for use with Ni200 or Ti coils, but can be used with standard Kanthal coils (like your Triton came with) if you use it in Wattage mode... Kanthal cannot be used in Temp-control mode. The 1.8 Ohm coils seem to like between 8 and 15W, depending on your juice and the air-flow setting. The Triton2 seems to be a really good upgrade over the original Triton (which had issues), and the D2 is an excellent device for wattage or temp-control vaping.
  4. Well, I stayed up half the night making a Bourbon ham with Ginger crust... My son bought the ham, which was huge, and it took 8-hrs to fully cook, lol. Sorry, no pic of it yet... darn phone isn't wanting to upload correctly this morning I'll be going to two dinners this long weekend... one today, one Saturday... and the ham is just for me and the boys to eat (apparently through to Christmas, lol)
  5. Here's the info... I'm assuming the $23 price will be after 20% discount... link is below, and sale lasts Friday through Monday or until they sell out of what's on-hand. Nice to know on the GotVapes site... $10 for even a defective one is still a good price, and is cheaper than buying the replacement tank-section... too bad they don't come with the RBA decks like Kanger SubTanks do That would be a sweet deal! Black Friday is just around the corner up so you know what that means! VAPE DEALS ON VAPE DEALS. VapeNW’s sitewide 20% off sale is active until the 30th of November. Order your device before someone else snags it up before you do! To access the 20% off code that is applied during checkout, click here.
  6. FYI Tam, VapeNW has listed the Triton2 on their Black Friday sale for $23.96. I think I'll pick one up myself, but if you have $100 lying around, you could use it to pick up 4 and a box of coils
  7. Most vendors will replace a defective device within the first 30-days... if not, I'd not shop with that vendor again These batteries are quite reliable, although some more than others, but even the best quality manufacturers have a dud from time to time. If you can't get it replaced under warranty, I would suggest looking into a slightly better device... perhaps something from Kangertech, Joye-tech, Vision, Smok, Innokin, eLeaf, etc. Sometimes spending an extra dollar or two is worth it in the long run...
  8. Shinyitis is treatable with extensive therapy, lol... its those "other benefits" that far outweigh any money we spend on gear
  9. Fortunately it does over the "long-haul"... unless you get shiny-itus or empty-pocketus
  10. Well, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night
  11. $7.95 is excellent for those... I've paid as high as $15.95/5 for them before, and even online as high as $11.95/5, but I've not bought them lately as I'm buying Nautilus coils these days (when I'm not rebuilding them, that is). The local B&M charges $3.50 each for the standard and Nautilus BVC, which IS 3x the price of a KPT, so that is more of my reference point when I say 3x the price, lol. Not everyone buys online like we do
  12. B, I'm glad you're liking the BVC Aspire coils... they are a step up in flavor over the KPT BCC, but they are also nearly 3x the price (but do tend to last a little longer, just not 3x as long). When I gift Davide tanks to anyone, I always suggest using the KPT coils because they are cheaper, yet still perform well. For a new vaper, cost is always at the top of their list, right? lol You kept mentioning the Nautilus, and I wanted to clarify for everyone... the Anyvape Davide uses the standard Aspire BVC... the same coils used in the K1, ET-S, and Nova tanks... NOT the same coil used in the Nautilus. The Nautilus coils are longer and have threading at the top of the shaft/chimney. The good thing about the K1/ET-S coils are that they are usually a couple bucks cheaper than the Nautilus coils, yet made exactly the same way If you have a Nautilus (standard or mini), you must use the Nautilus coils because the threading on the coil is what holds the tank together... My SO has been using my Nautilus for the past 3 months, and she gets about 10-12 tanks out of a coil (using stock 1.6 Ohm BVC), and I've rebuilt a couple for her this past week to see if they last any longer (using 28ga Kanthal, 1.5mm ID, and Organic Cotton). As for removing the ring to use the KPT coils... they suggest you remove it, but I haven't either, lol... The silicone cap on the KPT coils makes a better seal, IMO, if you leave the ring in.
  13. Deez, those IPV-minis are awesome... I have 4, and they are work-horses! And the gold ones look awesome with a shiny stainless or a black tank Bebop, I'd keep my plans, but be very aware of when you can cancel without penalty. Trust me... I've been in Europe and Asia (for work) in the past few years... and they are NOTHING like they were 20-30 years ago... even 10 years ago. With all the stupidity over there right now, I'd take a wait-and-see stance if it were me. Even work is not allowing any travel to the EU, other than England/Scotland/Ireland/Germany...
  14. Tam, I'm about to order one too... From what I've heard, they've fixed the hit-and-miss issues from the V1, and the V2 has a replaceable Pyrex tank (and comes with a spare, too).
  15. #1... Using a 1.8 Ohm coil on a standard eGo, that's only 7.6W of power... and I've yet to find many juices that "like" only 7W in an Aspire tank... most like in the 9-14W range with a 1.8 Ohm coil, which means you need to have a VV device that will run up to 5V. I would suggest a VV/VW device, like a small box-mod (avoid the iStick 20W), and if you like the eGo size, I would suggest the 40W Wismec Presa... it's small, and full-featured #2... Sub-ohming "can" give you more flavor, but you will need to drop to a 3mg max Nicotine... and I'd really suggest a 1-2mg since you'd be dropping from a 1.8 Ohm down to 0.5 Ohm (avg sub-Ohm pre-built coil). If you go that route, I would suggest a Kanger sub-box-mini kit, so you would get the box-mod and the tank, complete with RBA kit. If you don't like sub-ohming, you can always buy 1.2 or 1.5 Ohm coils for it... or build the RBA deck to any resistance you want.
  16. I really wanted a D2, but the price kept me from jumping on them... When Cloupor came out with the Mini-plus (50W-TC), which is the same size as the 30W mini, I had to order one GearBest had them for $29, which is the same price I paid for the 30W Cloupor minis, so I'm currently waiting for delivery... I've not tried temp control yet, but I do have a box of Nickel coils for the ST-mini... so we'll see how it goes. If I don't like it, I can always make good use of the mini in standard Wattage-mode... although I rarely go above 25W... it is nice to have a small mod that will handle higher Watts when needed (without breaking out the IPV-mini-V2)...
  17. Oh, trust me... if I did that, I'd still hide both MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE :D
  18. Well, here's the pic of mine This stuff is amazing... smooth candy inhale, lightly sweet, nice thick vapor, and the exhale has the distinct flavor of of a purple sweet-tart... I thought I'd share this out with others, Comp, but I may have to hide it away... or at least tell the GF that it is horrible/nasty so I can have it all to myself!
  19. The comments were great... While I don't fully agree with the article (it was heavily and horribly edited), it does bring about huge points on the "social aspect" of smoking.... advertising, location restrictions, making smoking no longer "cool"... Disbanding the Tobacco Institute was a fantastic thing as it stopped a lot of the mis-information pushed out onto the public by Big Tobacco... now if they can only disband the FDA, EPA, and a few dozen other "institutes" that push all the junk-science regarding the environment and energy!! Some people will smoke even if they are $20 a pack, until their dying breath... Raising prices (taxes) only serves the government to offset the declining sales to maintain tax levels year to year... your local politician WANTS you to smoke... they want SOMEONE to smoke, so they can get the tax revenue! The poor are hardest hit with the increases, and die-hard smokers will pay for a pack regardless of the cost, even if they have to skim from their food budgets or not pay one of their bills.
  20. You nailed it Tam... European governments are embracing vaping as a safer alternative, and the US Government can't let go of tobacco because of the tax dollars... and allowing vaping to be deemed as a tobacco product, they can force Big Tobacco to subsidize all vaping (in the future) the same as cigarette sales, all to bolster the taxes and subsidy checks from the Tobacco Settlements. The FDA regulations have nothing to do with "public health and safety", and everything to do with padding coffers with tax dollars and under-the-table payments from lobbyists
  21. I received my prize winnings of Comp's Brain Matter today! OMG, this stuff is awesome!
  22. Same here... I bought my starter kit locally, and paid 4x what I should have... I've bought juice from the B&M (for more than 6-months), and my MVP was bought locally, but it was on sale, which made it the same price as online vendors . Since then, the only B&M purchases I've made in the past year-plus have been a few 18650 batteries and some KPT3-mini tanks (also on sale), and I did purchase a SINGLE Nautilus coil for the SO's tank when her's died on vacation, and the spare was still in her suitcase back at the hotel... LOL I don't mind buying things locally if their prices are the same (or really close) as online shopping, plus shipping costs. Unless, of course, I need it right now, as in the case of the Nautilus coil Otherwise, online is the way to go!
