The coil/wick of the EVOD won't work well with juices thicker than 50/50 VG/PG.

@Edna The oranges I've used have been the Blood Orange (FW), Mandarin Orange (TFA), and the Juicy Orange (CAP)... I like the Juicy Orange because it is more like OJ or fresh squeezed flavor. If the flavor gets muted by the Chocolate, you can use Citrus or Citrus Punch to get the "bite" back into the flavor, but if you want more of a Christmas-candied-flavor, you'd probably be better served with a candied orange flavor (not sure if one is out there), or you could candy it up a bit by adding a little sweetener, caramel, or a Gummy-candy flavoring to give it that after-taste you're looking for? Hmmm... Chocolate Gummy-bears... sounds interesting

Edna, the TFA DX Peanut Butter is a bit creamier than the standard PB, so it's not as "harsh" and "dry" tasting, IMO... When I mix my PB cups, I use equal parts (8%) PB and Milk Chocolate, or if I'm using Dark Chocolate, I use 25-50% more (10-12% volume). Of course, it's mixed to my tastes, so you'll mix to your own liking But, the DX PB is a much smoother, creamier blend without the harsh/dry nut taste... so you may not need sweetener, too? Also, if you're using Dark Chocolate, sometimes adding a little Dairy Milk flavoring (TFA or CAP) will smooth it out and add a touch of sweetness without a "candy" feeling to the mix... Marshmallow does the same thing too, but a little sweeter. When I'm doing chocolate covered fruit flavors... like my favorite, Chocolate covered Raspberries... I use 12-15% Milk Chocolate and 10% Sweet Raspberry, and sometimes add 3-5% Bavarian Cream to smooth it out (all TFA). Cherry, Orange, and Strawberry are all strong fruit flavors, so if I were making those with chocolate, I'd drop them to 3-5%, depending on how strong they are.

As @FXRich said, it will depend on the state, but in most states, there is no law against bringing your minor child into a liquor store, smoke-shop, or even "adult" stores. The federal regs only exclude/prohibit sales to minors, but cannot overrule state regulations on entry into a shop/building which restricts sales to adults, if that minor child is accompanied by an adult.

Thanks for confirming what I already suspected, Chris. As with most Chinese manufacturers, they are paid by XYZ company to produce a specific number of widgets per day, or for only so many hours per day... the rest of the time left in that day is typically spent continuing to manufacturer the same widget using lesser materials or even the same materials... just altering or omitting the manufacturing logo of the OEM product. And, once the contract expires, rather than re-tool a productive product line, they'll continue to produce that product as a 1:1 clone for as long as it is profitable.... I'm sure the manufacturer in question still has millions of the Kanger boxes and miles of Kanger logo foil for the blister packs? US manufacturers do the same thing... A local factory which produces diapers for Kimberly Clark only produces for that logo 10-hrs per day... the remaining 14 hours per day, they produce "generic" products for store-logos... but they are exactly the same diapers, same materials, but with different packaging and pull-tabs. These clone coils are very high quality... so far... I've yet to find a bad one from the four 50-packs I've purchased, and if I do find a bad one, it can be rebuilt or tossed... after-all, they're cheap enough to toss away and not think twice about it IMO, these are 1:1 clones, possibly made on the same line as the original Kanger OCC coils? All but five 5-packs have the proper packaging logos, all of them (so far) meter 1.17-1.21 Ohms, and all of them bear the exact same markings/stamps as OEM coils... and they vape great, too!

@spydre PMTA's are required for the manufacturers only. Retailers are not required to file PMTA's unless they are mixing their own juices in-house or building mods/tanks/RBAs/RTAs/coils/etc. (in other words... manufacturing something).

My 100 Kanger OCC 1.2 Ohm Horizontal coils (with white o-rings) arrived today from SlowTech...er... Fasttech... The boxes were apparently stepped on or hit by a truck or two along the route from China, but the coils appear to be undamaged. Five out of 20 of the blister-cards don't appear to have "Kangertech" imprinted on them, so they may be clones? The rest are properly marked/imprinted. At 68-cents a coil (and arrival in under 8-weeks from placing the order)... I'm not going to complain

This is a regulated mod, which means it will adjust the Voltage according to the Wattage you have selected and the resistance of the coil... Ohm's Law will always apply... Resistance of the coil is a constant... you set Wattage and Voltage auto-adjusts, or if you set Voltage, Wattage auto-adjusts.

Which mod is it? Do the batteries both go in the same direction, or one up, one down? If they go the same direction, chances are you are running parallel (but not always true)... which is still just 3.7V (same as one battery), but you are doubling the Amp-limit by spreading the load across both batteries. If they are one up / one down, then they are likely in series, which means you are getting the output of 7.4V, but the Amp-limit stays the same as an individual battery because you're not spreading the load. Make sense? Also, what batteries are you using? Brand/model? What is the typical Wattage you're running? When using a two (or three) battery device, it is best to label the batteries and keep them "married" (A1/A2, B1/B2, C1/C2, etc)... and to rotate their position in the mod each time you swap a married set, so the same battery is not always in the same position inside the mod.

BTW, steeping in the microwave isn't necessary... but it is "fast", lol... Floating the bottles in a warm water bath is also acceptable for accelerating the steeping process... but it is less about the heat and more about mixing... heating excites the molecules causing them to move, thus mixing the flavors through Physics, rather than physical exertion. Thorough mixing when you're making them... using a vibration table, sonic cleaner, or magnetic stirrer works wonders for making a better blend. I find (when I don't use my magnetic mixer) leaving the cap off, and putting them into an area that is warm (on a shelf above the stove, or in a room that gets a little warmer than the rest) works far better than "cooking" the juice... slow aging and daily shaking makes for a far better flavor, and depending on the juice, it will only take 2-10 days to fully "evolve" the flavor.

Over-cooking the juice usually makes it taste like crap... as for making it "harmful"... it shouldn't affect the chemistry, even if you boiled it... other than oxygenating the nicotine, which causes it to break-down (lower) and become bitter. I''m also sure your juice turned very dark. Some flavors (especially natural fruit flavors) will become rancid if they've been overheated as well...even leaving them in a hot car for a day will make them intolerable to vape. Hopefully it wasn't a big batch... but if it were me, I'd toss it because the flavor will most likely be bad, the dark color will shorten coil-life, and the nicotine will be lower and have a bitter taste.

Vape stores usually carry different ratios, but not always... it never hurts to ask. You can also get a bottle of PG and a bottle of VG, and add a few drops of one or the other to your tank to change it up a bit for a tank-full of juice. My SO vapes the same flavor (Cinnamon Bubblegum - like a Juicy-Fruit/Bazooka-Joe/Big-Red mix) all day, every day (in the same two styles of tanks), and when she complains that it doesn't taste right, I have her vape something new I've mixed (in a completely different style tank)... then, like magic, her ADV tastes better again.... I've had vape-tongue a few times, and changing flavors and drinking more water usually clears it up in a day. Right now, I've been vaping the same flavor for over two years, and occasionally I'll vape something different (usually first thing in the morning or just before bed), just for a change of scenery, and when I go back to my ADV, it's like WOW... this stuff is even better now! Adversarious is correct... even the same flavor in a different tank, or using a different resistance coil, or changing the Wattage/Voltage on your mod can and will make a difference on how things taste. I would recommend buying a different style tank (or even borrowing one), just to have a variety for a few hours a day... it will keep the vape-tongue at bay....

The red seals (and older white ones) are Nichrome. The only problem I've had with S-V is they were suddenly out of stock on an item (coils) I ordered... they shipped the rest and included a note that my item was back-ordered, and they shipped it to me about 4 days later, along with a coupon-code for 10% off my next order. One order of a couple of Subtank minis, they even included free multi-color o-ring kits ($5 value) with each subtank ordered... and they weren't advertised to include the o-ring kits For the most part, orders made on Monday are received on Thursday or Friday, and all orders have been correct. Ordered 100 more Kanger Subtank OCC 1.2 Ohm horizontal coils on 7/21 ($68 after 20%-off coupon/promo discount), and received a notice from Fasttech today... they just now shipped! So, I should have them sometime between Labor Day and Christmas :P Good thing I'm not in desperate need, huh?

@Adversarious1 is correct... spares are a must-have! I run roughly two dozen batteries in rotation (between my GF and me), and have had two relatively new Samsung refuse to charge within a month of each other. If I only had two or three batteries, I would have been hurting... Having spares for extended times away from a charger (or power outlet) ARE really good to have. On an extended fishing trip recently, I carried three mods, three tanks, spare coils and 10 batteries (just in case). I ended up exhausting six of the batteries (almost exhausted #7 before getting home) and ended up getting one of the mods wet (from rain), so having spares was a good idea!

AMEN!! And when you think you've left the house with plenty of backups, one day you'll find yourself pulling back into the driveway with 5% charge left on your 4th back-up battery, the last of 3 coils (which is already starting to clog), and the last drops of juice (even though you left with 30ml)... and you've only been out for 5 hours! .... Been there, done that, got the T-shirt

That's one reason we suggested the iStick 50W... its a regulated mod that has a built-in battery... Regulated mods are much safer than mechanical-mods, and built-in batteries mean you don't have to worry about buying external rechargeable batteries (or worry about getting a counterfeit/clone battery that won't handle repeated charging cycles or high-power). For a noob, it can be overwhelming, but once you get started, you'll quickly pick up on the jargon and find what works best for you. In a few months you'll be a pro at it

I love that little "Stealth" from Tesla... I only wish it were VV/VW. If it were, I'd probably have four or five of them by now I found it does best with a 0.8-1.2 Ohm coil, with 1.0 Ohm being the sweet spot (for me). I have mine with a Russian 91% at 1.0-1.1 Ohms, and it is working very well... but you are correct that it falls off quickly in the latter half of its charge... I can live with the fall-off, though, because it makes up for that short-coming with it's size and I love the VTR-ish "protected" tank style... it fits great in my jacket pocket, back packet, or tank-bib-bag on my motorcycle. The submerged/protected tank is the only reason I ever wanted a VTR, well, that and the fact they are great self-defense weapons, lmbo

Oh, one more thing to add... When buying juices, try to get juices that have a 50/50 ratio of PG/VG, or as close to 50/50 as you can. Juices with higher PG content have great flavor, but less vapor production and they tend to provide more throat-hit (TH). Some people like the harsher TH than others, but I found that 50/50 ratio juices still provided enough TH to mimic smoking, yet also enough vapor production for the mouth-filling satisfaction and visual queue to make me "think" I was still smoking. Also, the more vapor you produce/inhale will deliver more nicotine, which is why Bebop suggested a 12mg level for you... but I still say you should have some 18mg handy and try it, especially in the mornings and after meals, when your cravings for a smoke are highest! A quick run-down on ingredients of juices: Nicotine - use lower with low resistance coils, higher concentrations with higher coil resistances... an 18mg level with a 1.5 Ohm coil is relatively the same as a 6mg level with a 0.5 Ohm coil (relatively is the operative word). PG - Polypropylene Glycol is a flavor carrier and produces throat-hit. It does not produce much vapor. It is also a chief ingredient in cosmetics, toothpaste, medications, mouth-wash, etc. VG - Vegetable Glycerine is a vapor producer. It is a sweet, thick liquid that is commonly used as a food/drink sweetener in diabetic-approved products.

I'll second Tam's suggestion on the iStick 50W... it is simple to use and easily "grows with you". Place it in Wattage-mode and you can start low (say 7W?) and keep bumping the Wattage higher until you find the heat and vapor production that works best for your juice and tank combo. Some juice/tank combos will like 10W, some will taste best at 20W, even if it is the same juice, but a different tank or coil resistance. For a beginner, I would suggest 1.5-1.8 Ohm coil resistances, and if you were a 2-pack-a-day smoker, 12mg nicotine may not be enough for you. As Bebop said, with today's modern tanks, they require more power and put out more vapor (which means the nicotine delivery is more efficient) but you may want to also pick up some 18mg juices (or even higher) because you'll need the additional nicotine during the first few weeks of vaping... to curb the cravings for all the non-nicotine garbage you're missing from the cigarettes. Your body has to detox from over 5000 chemicals in analog smoke, and nicotine is only ONE of those... but higher levels will help you pass the cravings faster. Another tank to consider is the Kanger Subtank Mini. There is a wide range of coils available for them, and they are IMO a perfect tank for beginner or advanced user. The Triton 2 is a good tank too, but there are fewer options for coil resistance available (nothing in the 0.5-1.6 Ohm range), which is what keeps me from using one as my go-to tank, but my GF uses one daily, as well as her Aspire Nautilus tanks. The 1.8 Ohm coil does provide a lot of vapor and flavor though, so don't think they are bad... I just think they should have more coil options available, lol.

Rubbing alcohol is not drinkable or safe if you take it internally. It is also known to be poisonous if inhaled (ask veterinarians who use to use it as a "gaseous anesthetic" 50+ years ago). It also has "other" ingredients which leave residue on the coils, even after the Isopropyl Alcohol evaporates away. 91% is better than 50% because it is more alcohol and less "other" stuff in it, but with more alcohol, it is more toxic until fully evaporated (which can take days to fully evaporate from some wick materials). Ethanol is safe to drink (Vodka, Everclear, moonshine, etc.) and even if it isn't fully evaporated, it is safe to inhale. When buying 100-proof Vodka, you're getting 50% Ethanol and 50% water
