I've been using dual and single coils in my Kanger tanks... and here's what I can say about the duals: Pros: Slightly more vapor Slightly warmer vapor Cons: Use more juice per hit Coils cost a bit more than singles (my duals have been running $0.20 to $0.25 each, more cost over singles) One thing I tried last week was to compare hits per tank between a single and dual coil ... The single gave me roughly 50 more hits per tank. The next thing I'm going to try is to see if the "more vapor" also equates to me hitting the dual-coil less often, due to getting my nicotine fix faster? Basically, I want to see if a week's worth of vaping on dual-coil causes me to use more juice than a week's worth of vaping on a single-coil. If juice use is the same between the two, then logically the dual-coils will last longer (mitigating their extra cost) because you're firing them less often... so far, per my previous experiment, about 50-times less per tank-full.

Yeah, barely warm... At 2.8V, even using a 1.5 Ohm coil (lowest KPT2 factory coil resistance), that would equate to 5.2 Watts @ 1.9A... hardly enough to vaporize any ejuice, even if you held the button for a full 10-sec.

Probably a typo, but 2.8V "will" fire a coil... but the Wattage/Amps will be extremely low, especially on a higher Ohm coil... so it would take forever to achieve enough heat to produce vapor.

Yep, it has nothing to do with the length of the wick... sounds like your battery connection pin is pushed down (as Tam said) or the connection pin of the atomizer head is pushed in... or both... You can also check the center pin on your coil (head, atomizer, whatever you want to call it) and see if it is compressed against the rubber insulator. You can pull it out a TINY bit to make it reach the battery better, but be careful not to pull it too far. Either of these adjustments are MICRO adjustments... it doesn't take much.

Now, if we can only get a Provari chambered in NATO 5.56, or at least 22LR...

I have a medical background... and I can tell you... YES... hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! And, it is a good idea, now that you're off the analogs, to increase your vitamin intake... a good daily multi-vitamin, and it does not hurt to have extra C and B-complex too. These will help to stave off the food cravings which usually set in a few weeks after quitting smoking. You'll also want to increase your vitamin D intake... get out in the sunshine! 20-minuntes a day of sun gives your body more vitamin D than drinking a whole gallon of milk... In general, though... leg/foot cramps are a sign of Potassium deficiency. Eat a banana and have that extra couple glasses of water every day, and you'll see those cramps diminish or go completely away! Potassium in a pill form will work, but nothing beats the natural vitamin from a banana... both in quantity and the body's ability to absorb it!

I just traded away my two KPT2 minis (single-coils)... but I might have to give one of the Davide minis a try... Everyone here seems to rave about them, and if they "can" use the KPT coils, that will make the purchase easier

The MVP came with an iClear 30, which is in my box with "parts" right now. A buddy gave me two iClear 16's which came with whatever Innokin product he bought (might have been an MVP as well?), and I tried one of them... it was a lot like a Ce4 in flavor and vapor... and lots of heat..., but WOW, it rolled through the juice! I was not impressed with it... After I used it, I cleaned it and tossed it (and it's sister) in the "parts" box too... The only thing I like about the iClear 30 is the swivel drip-tip... but I can buy one of those for my Kanger tanks anytime I feel the need. Too bad the iClear drip-tips screw in... or I would have been using that tip on one of my KPT2's (yeah, I know you can get the adapter, but that's too much trouble, they look bulky/ugly, and I can get a whole drip-tip for about the same price as the adapter, probably cheaper)

The KPT3 and EVOD2's the OP is referring to are both BDC.... As for the AT mini, I've looked at buying one, but can't stomach the $26-29 price-tags, when I can buy KPT3 minis all day long for $8-9. The KPT3 minis have great airflow, IMO already.

Yeah, I don't see Kanger EVER dropping their single-coil line-up of tanks... From what I see in the shops and online, the KPT2 is their bread-and-butter sales... Sure, they sell others (I know, I have them, lol), but I don't see any manufacturer cutting their throats by going all-dual-coil offerings. Now, from the flavor and vapor production stand-point on my eGo batteries, I like the KPT3 mini (dual-coil) over the single-coil KPT2 mini or EVOD... but that is just me... For my larger tanks on my MVP, I find very little difference between the KPT2 and AeroTank in flavor... The AT might give a bit more vapor, but also burns juice a little faster. I made use of the "hit counter" last week, and compared the KPT2 against the AT (same Wattage settings, 1.8 single vs 1.5 dual coil)... and I get more hits per tank when using the KPT2... roughly 50 more! But when flavor is what counts for me... getting more hits per tank is a good thing!? I guess the next thing I'll need to try is to see how long it takes to empty each tank (ml used each day)... I'm going to guess, it takes about the same length of time (same ml used), regardless of # of hits... because of the nic needs, so am I truly using less juice over the course of the day, when using the KPT2, or just hitting it more often? Hmmm... need to check that out... time to make a new chart

My company sub-contracted for Sprint for years, and I've had plans with Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile... they're all about the same in price and service, and if you're in a "city", price is the factor, rather than coverage. That being said, I can tell you that your pro-rated plan costs to cover your "free" phone over the 2-year term will have you paying for that phone twice, if not more... One thing to look for in any data-plan is the fine print... some are truly "unlimited", some will throttle-you back to dial-up speeds after you pass the first GB of data (shared or single)... so read the fine print! NEVER get a plan that charges you or limits you for Texts. Texts are piggy-backed on the voice-carrier, and cost the company NOTHING... so if anyone is charging for excessive texting, they're just robbing you blind. There are plenty of companies out there where you buy your phone upfront and pay $5 / $10 / $25 per month. My son has a "plan" with Republic Wireless for $25/month and unlimited everything, including 3G voice/data service. The phones seek wifi for all calls and data, but roll-over to Sprint if there is no wifi, and their plans start at $5/month... but you pay upfront for a phone through them... Moto-X is their flagship... for $300 or $350, IIRC, and they have other phones too (but no Apple products). There's not a lot of phone-choice through them, though... because all of their phone are specially designed to work on wifi in addition to standard cellular service Another good one is TING. They're a division of Verizon and you pay for ANY phone you want, upfront, and then buy packages of the service you use each month... a buddy of mine has them and his monthly rates run from $18 - $30. But if you use voice/text/data a lot, you'll not be any better off than a standard plan from the big-four. Just be aware of any contracts and free phone deals, and what they entail on the monthly costs... have them break EVERYTHING down for you... Sprint wanted to charge me $100 upfront for my newest Google Nexus, and over the next 2-yrs I would have paid another $700 towards the phone (plus $7.99/month for insurance, which equals $192)... That's $992 total for a phone I can buy straight from Google for $350 (or less), all day long!! I bought my phone upfront, had them remove the phone fees and insurance, and cut my monthly bill by $40... roughly half what I was paying for the same, unlimited everything plan when I had a "free phone".

The AeroTank is a good tank... lots of flavor and vapor, but the coils cost a bit more and they burn juice a little faster because of the larger wick area, being dual-coil. I have two of them (and just ordered another)... but I have far more KPT2's.... The KPT2 is a great tank... uses single-coils (cheaper) and still has great vapor and flavor. Adding an AeroBase really allows you to open or restrict the draw to your preference. I like a tight draw, so the standard base on the KPT2 is pretty good, but the Aerobase makes it fine-tunable! Another advantage to the Aerobase is NO drips onto the battery, because the base seals that off. The disadvantage is that if you get juice in the center tube, you have to remove the base and swab-out the tube or at least blow from the bottom (with base removed) to push juice out the drip-tip. Although, I find a lot of the "gurgling" sound on my KPT2's is juice trapped under the drip-tip... just pop it off and swab it clean... problem solved!

No, I don't soak the coils in juice, then install them... I keep a few tanks "ready to vape" in the rack on my desk. So, if I have a coil that goes bad... I just swap tanks for one that is ready and waiting, while I deal with the bad coil. If the tank with the bad-coil needs cleaning, I'll take it out of rotation for cleaning. If it just needs topping off, I take care of that... pop in a fresh coil, fill up with juice and toss it back in the rack for the next rotation. That way the new coil has plenty of time to soak before I use it. I have 2 favorite flavors, and one I still vape daily... so there are always at least 2 or 3 full tanks in the rack, waiting for their turn on the MVP. Any "empty" tank will be empty with an un-used coil in it. I use to let tanks sit "near-empty", but when the juice level is low, there is no vacuum pressure and they would drip juice into the tube. Letting one sit dry after I had used it made the wicks harder to re-wet and the coils went bad faster. So, now I either keep the tank full, ready to vape, or completely clean/dry. Once I start a coil in a tank, I keep it wet and in use until it dies... they seem to last longer that way. The coil in my AeroTank has been going strong for 3 weeks, and still going... one of my KPT2's has had the same coil for over a month... still kicking...

I bet none of my "new" coils have ever been used without soaking in juice for a few hours. Not because I think they need to soak, but because I pop on a fresh tank and keep vaping while I deal with the bad-coil That tank gets cleaned if necessary, or at least topped-off, new coil, and then dropped back into the tank-holder until I'm ready for my next tank...

Good point Jerry... higher PG levels of the juice = more throat hit (harsh)... 80/20 has a really harsh throat hit for me now. All of my juices now are less than 70% pg... most are in the 65/35 or 55/45 range, after I mix my flavors...

Absolutely! if you have 10ml of 6mg... mix it with 10ml of 18mg of the same flavor... 1:1 ratio and you'll hit 12mg. I do this all the time with one of my favorite flavors. I prefer 18mg with most, but that one flavor is a bit harsh at 18, so I mix 1:1 with 18mg and 12mg to hit 15mg... and it tastes sooo much better that way.

If you're heading overseas, you'll want something reliable and able to take a beating... Kanger tanks do just that, but you may want to think about an AeroTank Mega... it comes with a stainless-steel tank AND a Pyrex tank, plus holds 3.5ml of juice instead of 2.5 like the KPT2 and standard AeroTank. If you go with the KPT2, I'd recommend picking up a spare Pyrex tank too (even if you have more than one tank with you)... never know when you'll drop it and crack the tank!

Yeah, I was thinking knock-off too... but was hoping it was just something new that we hadn't seen yet I second the Kanger PT2 with 1.8 Ohm coils... and I have no complaints on my AeroTanks with 1.5 Ohm dual-coils either... really good flavor and vapor, but they do burn a tad more juice each hit.

Are you searching for you perfect level of nicotine? 18 is a good place to start (might even need to go up to 24mg) if you're of average size and smoked a pack a day. I'm willing to bet when you run 4ml, it's the 6mg juice?

The top of the tank looks like a Kanger Aero or PT3 mini, but with a plastic drip-tip... Although it is obviously not either of those... Are there no markings or engravings on the base of the tank? You said you replaced the coil... were they from a box or package with any brand markings?

Well, I should be fully stocked up for a while... Just ordered four 5-packs of 1.5 dual coils for my BDC tanks, and picked up a spare KPT3 mini and spare AeroTank before my coupon expired at the end of the month! I should be good on coils and tanks for a VERY long time now... A dozen tanks, and 62 un-opened coils goes a long way

Now, personally, I never knew you could sling a 5-iron that far The farthest I've ever thrown one was to the tree-line, but it was quite bent-up before I threw it... might have messed with the aerodynamics a bit?
