I bought some "peanut-butter cup" flavor from the local shop, and it was nasty, but tried mixing dark chocolate, peanut-butter, and caramel flavors together in a 1:1:1 ratio and LOVE IT... it's my favorite "evening" flavor! I also like chocolate, vanilla, and black-cherry mixed together... makes a really nice cordial-cherry flavor. I've never been a fan of fruity or minty flavors, so I can't offer any suggestions there...

You nailed it... the mental part is driven by the physical NEED. Your body is use to nicotine at a specific level, and as your nic levels drop, there is a trigger to the mental aspect, telling you that you need more nicotine! It's just like thirst... you get thirsty, and your body sends a message to the brain telling you to get a glass of water... Once you find your sweet-spot in nicotine levels from vaping, the mental urge will move from "light another one up" to "hit the vape-gear"... bingo, you're off analogs! Like BCarter said... nicotine is not the enemy... Nicotine is naturally occurring in hundreds of fruits and vegetables (albeit lower doses). Eggplants and tomatoes have some of the highest levels! And, I tend to agree with him on the aspect that if I ever work my way down to 0mg of nicotine, I'll have no use for any of my vaping gear... I use it to provide the nicotine my body has been USE TO receiving over the past 30 years! Sure, I may lower my levels from my current 16-18mg (someday), but I didn't start vaping as an 18-month program to taper myself off nicotine 1mg per month until I no longer need/desire it.... I started vaping to get away from analogs... and 60+ days later, vaping has been the ONLY METHOD that has worked

A quality battery is always a good starting point... and there are plenty of good kits out there. IMO, the best bang for the buck is a Kanger EVOD starter kit... comes with two batteries and two EVOD cartomizers (and charger). Batteries come in small (650mAh), medium (900/950mAh), and larger (1100mAh +), and also come in twist / spinners, which are variable Voltage (VV). Tanks are a matter of preference, but if you get good batteries from JoyeTech, KangerTech, or Vision... you'll just have to decide on what tank (or tanks) are best for you

As I stated, based on the look of the battery button, they're probably a clone/knock-off of a Kanger EVOD battery... no clue as to their reliability compared to the real-deal, but I'd say charge it, use it, and enjoy it

X2O Extreme... I've seen them... they are a basic eGo style kit, usually comes with one battery, two Ce4 cartomizers, lanyard and a "base" to stand it on... some even come with sample juices in the same kit. Locally, I've seen them $20-30. According to what I've read on the kit, they are 1300mAh batteries, and they look suspiciously like a Kanger EVOD battery, based on the button-style and location.

It looks like Kanger has a new-generation of coils out now... They look totally different at the top (no "cap"), and the Kanger logo on the stem... Are the wicks totally internal? I'm wondering if they are making a move towards a coil that is harder to rebuild?

^^ This^^ Mix 1:1 volume ratio of 18mg and 12mg and you'll end up with 15mg juice. Another thing to look at is that if you are still smoking, 12mg is not cutting it for you. Making the full-switch to electronics takes effort, and even though you say that 18mg gives you a head-rush, it's probably also a lot to do with the fact you're still smoking analogs at the same time... I'd give the 18mg another try (or cut it to 15mg as FishGuy suggested), and take smaller hits on the vape-gear.... I think you'll find that after the first week (hardest part), that you'll not be craving the analogs any longer.

The MT3's use the same coils as the T3S (different than the ProTank coils, single or dual). You can still get them nearly everywhere (white box), and they are usually the same price as the Protank's BCC coils. I understand they vape a lot similar to the EVOD, but, just like the EVOD, they are not capable of breaking down like the ProTanks or PT minis. EVODs use the same coils as the ProTanks ... I've got two of them and still use them often, but they are plastic tanks, so no cinnamon They vape well, and have a tight draw, which I like. I see the EVOD tanks all the time in shops... 3 for $20... 5 for $20... and online, even cheaper if you check around. If it weren't for the fact I'd have another coil to keep up with... I'd probably pick up a few MT3's myself... $2.95 each is a steal!

Well, yeah, it's not exactly "large", but then again I only have 14 tanks, an MVP, and 4 eGo batteries... and this one IS larger than the one that only holds 3 tanks, which I'm still using by my monitor Thanks for the compliment! Maybe as I expand my equipment to more MODs and tanks, I'll think about building something more along a cabinet-style with drawers, charging station, etc.... or perhaps something that looks like a large humidor with my tanks on display behind decorative glass? Hmmm... I do have some aged Walnut and Mahogany in storage.... gives me ideas

"Clearomizer" is a generic term for a tank... generally with clear glass or plastic so you can see the juice-levels. I'm with mvince, it looks like a rebuildable, but the threaded area at the top seems to indicate it would screw onto a post at the top, allowing compression of the glass to prevent leaks? No clue on it really? Are there any markings on it to give us a hint?

Thanks for the offer, but after shipping, I don't think you'd come out ahead (except maybe compared to B&M prices)... After my discount (15% off of $29.50 for four boxes), I've still got $1.25 in each coil ($6.25/box), which is way more than I normally pay for single-coils... thus the reason I "thought" I was ordering duals... Highest price I've paid for single-coils (until this mistake) was $1/each. I'll use them eventually... @ 8W on my MVP, they'll only require 3.45V to fire, so they'll conserve battery power if nothing else. And in an EVOD / eGo combo... the power would be no different than running 1.5 dual-coils in my KPT3 minis... 9W and 2.5A Who knows... it could be a blessing... I might like these better than my 1.8 Ohm's

I received my packages in the mail today, hastily opened them up like a kid on Christmas... When I went to shelve my coils, I picked up my four boxes of 1.8 Ohm single-coils and put them where they go. Grabbed the second set of four boxes (1.5 Ohm dual coils), and paused... boxes didn't look right... I was holding 1.5 Ohm SINGLE coils, not Duals.... Checked my order form... yeah, they shipped what was on the paperwork... Checked my email confirmation... apparently I can't read... I DID order them Next time I need to verify more closely what is in my cart before I hit SUBMIT.... Oh well... at least they're coils I'll use... but now I have to place another order to get the dual-coils I desperately needed (down to my last three 1.5's)... and this time I won't have my 15% off coupon! Live and learn....

Scrap 3/4" Pine board (cut 7" x 5"), and a $0.49 Pine "dice" from the local craft-shop. I trimmed the edge with a router, then drilled space for seven (five in front of the cube, one on either side of it) 510-base tanks, using an 8mm (or 5/16") drill bit. Centered between the five 510-tank slots are four 9/16" holes for eGo threaded tanks (my KPT3 minis and EVODs) in the front row. Things looked a little "off" in the front, so I added holes for two drip-tips, one on either side. The cube has four 9/16 holes drilled for 14mm eGo batteries. Light Oak stain and two coats of semi-gloss polyurethane... Took an hour, start to finish (not counting drying time, which it's still a bit tacky 12 hours later).

Finally delivered the last of my stockpile today (part of it came in last week): 4 - 5-packs of 1.5 Ohm BDC 4 - 5-packs of 1.8 Ohm BCC 3 - Air Flow Control Valves 2 - KPT2 1 - AeroTank 1 - KPT3 Mini

When I get bored, I tinker... and scrap wood laying around has always been my downfall... well, that and un-worked Rubik's Cubes, but I think that's just a severe case of CDO (just like OCD, but in Alphabetical Order, like it should be ). I use to build a lot larger, more functional things (desks, beds, tables) out of Oak, Cedar, Cherry, Chestnut, Walnut, etc. Years ago, I had the room and equipment, but these days, that doesn't stop me from turning a spare piece of plywood into a desk (with hutch) for my son, or a few scrap 2x4's into bed-side tables when I'm bored on a weekend Now, here's some more motivation for you Once the varnish dries on last night's tinkering... I'll post some pictures of the larger rack I built while watching TV....

Vaping has been the first successful method of quitting analogs I've ever tried! Over two months now, and I've not craved an analog since the first few days! Honestly, vaping has also been the "cheapest" as well as the most effective! Patches made me "jumpy" and irritable... family said I was a "grizzly bear" all the time. First one in the morning made me feel "high", for about an hour, and late in the day, I was craving an analog big-time! Chantix (very expensive option) made me SICK... Insomnia, nightmares (when I could sleep), and upper/lower GI problems compounded by "cotton-mouth". I lost 10lb on Chantix, but didn't stop smoking, lol. It took me a month to get back to "normal" after stopping Chantix. Just another example of the "cure" being worse than the disease.... Cold-turkey worked for about 3 days... but I couldn't stop the urge to strangle complete strangers Cig-alikes... waste of money for about 10 good puffs, and the flavor offerings were horrible! I spent 2x as much on cig-alikes as I spent on actual analogs... and they were so poor at stopping the cravings, I still smoked analogs along with them (to get my flavor and nicotine).

I caught the sickness on day 3 after I started vaping... I bought my eGo-T starter kit, and on day 3, I bought a second battery and two EVOD tanks... within the first two weeks, I had four batteries a dozen Ce4 tanks, two EVODs and one each KPT2 mini and KPT3 mini! (not to mention all the juice I bought to try-out different flavors) I'm in my third month of analog free bliss... and have an MVP 2.0, more than a dozen Kanger tanks, ~75 in-use or unused coils, six eGo batteries, stands (which I built) to hold my stuff, a small tackle-box full of "parts" and supplies (and spent-coils)... and nearly 300ml of juice ready to vape! I think I'm done buying for a while... I'm determined to make a VTR my next purchase, but with a bathroom in need of remodeling (water leaks suck), I need to direct my spare dollars into that for the next two months... At least I have enough vaping supplies (juice and coils) to hold me over that long

I've not experienced any leaks from my KPT2's, and the occasional gurgle is usually fluid under my drip-tip (easy to remedy). I've never had a dry-hit from them either... but I keep my Wattage down below 9 (currently setting on 8.0W), and don't chain-vape them either... so the wicks have time to recover between hits. My AeroTanks pop and crack at times, but all my dual-coils do that unless I turn the V/W down on them... but then I lose flavor/vapor. So, I use my slightly thinner juices in those tanks (65/35), and they seem to work better... either that, or I found the sweet-spot for Wattage? I've had one KPT3 mini that was a constant leaker out of the box... after the second time taking it apart, I found a defective o-ring at the top of the tank. Replaced it and now everything is fine with it. I traded off my KPT2 minis because I like the KPT3 minis better on my eGo batteries... better flavor/vapor. I still have two EVODs as back-ups (plastic tank, single-coils), and several Ce4's for extreme emergencies, lol. The Ce4's have great flavor and vapor, but are a very tight draw and have hot-hit due to coil being at the top. Other than the hot-hits, being disposable, and plastic tanks, I really have no complaints on those either. I have three iClear's... two 16's and a 30... and just don't like them at all... they are magic, lol. They make juice disappear! The flavor was okay, but you can empty a tank in less than an hour of casual vaping.... (and I'm not a fan of plastic tanks). So, overall, I really like my Kanger tanks, and don't care for iClear's (at least the ones I've tried). I've not tried a Davide or a Nautilus yet, but someday I'll break-down and buy one of each just to see for myself if there is a real advantage to them.

Otterbox is a great case, but I've been buying MY.CARBON cases for my last few Nexus phones... I'm not sure if they make one for the S5, but they are really nice cases... soft silicone shell, with an armored carbon-fiber-based backing that protects the corners and back. The belt-holsters are of the same hard-material, and they have a built-in kick-stand for landscape viewing. I bought my last one for $15 on Amazon.

Basically, what the chart says is, if you are relying on Voltage settings on your MOD, the lower the Resistance of the coil, the lower your voltage should be (to get a good vape)... higher resistance coils require higher voltage to produce the same Wattages (as the lower resistance coils at lower voltage). This is why a variable wattage (VW) MOD is worthwhile... set it and forget it... regardless of the coil you use, voltage will auto-select to reach the desired wattage (as long as that voltage is within the operating parameters of the MOD). Although that is just a reference, because some coils will produce better taste at 7W, some at 8W, some at 10W, etc. If you look at the chart, firing a 1.2 Ohm coil @ 7V will basically give you a 40W light-bulb (drawing nearly 6 Amps) to vaporize your juice... NOT GOOD! NOT SAFE!

My local B&M is a small shop, and they have limited selection... but now that I know what I'm looking for, it's easy to spot that they are selling a LOT of clones or knock-offs... at "genuine" prices. They do have some authentic equipment, but you have to make sure that the box or package they hand you actually contains what it should! They have a bad habit (probably on purpose) to show you a genuine article from the case, and hand you a clone / knock-off when you buy.... Needless to say, I don't think they'll be in business around here much longer, which is sad, because the next closest B&M is 25 miles away (closed on Sundays, and only open 10am-6pm the rest of the week)... although they DO have quality products and good selection!

Congrats on getting him started! I've got my original eGo 950mAh batteries and two fresh Ce4 cartomizers (and a couple juices I don't care for) all packaged up and ready to use... just in case one of my friends or family decide they want to give it a try. If it gets them off the analogs it will be money well gifted to them!
