  1. Hey, left-over BBQ chicken sounds pretty good! I might have to make chicken tonight, just so I can have leftover chicken tomorrow
  2. Excellent point! You can vape inexpensively with start-up costs close to a carton of analogs (decent EVOD starter kit and some juice), and keep yourself going week to week for ~$10. Even if you go nuts like I did during the first month (batteries, tanks, juice, more tanks, , MVP, more juice... well you get the picture, lol), it's still cheaper than smoking once you hit the 3rd of 4th month. I have four eGo batteries in rotation with my MVP, 14 main tanks, a handful of Ce4's for emergencies, and enough coils to keep me vaping for a year... without buying anything extra, aside from my e-juice expenditures!! I calculated up my expenses, compared to analog costs... and I was in the black by the end of month #2... yeah, it was only a few pennies, but I am saving tons now.... and as Bebop put it so eloquently... Saving/prolonging my life has an immeasurable cost/expense factor
  3. Yep, Big Tobacco and our nannies in the government are in a huge panic... all that money in the free-market and they're not getting any of it!
  4. Both mods doing the same thing, regardless of the atomizer head? Sounds to me like you have a battery problem, assuming you're using/trying the same battery in both?
  5. Your blend of 50/50 is probably just fine... moving to a higher vg content may add to your vapor production but may also diminish your flavor. Find what you like and stick close to it... personally I prefer my pg/vg to be 65/35 or 55/45, although I have a couple 80/20 and 70/30 that still get vaped too... my sour-apple is 70/30...
  6. Welcome back! Asking for a crash course on "everything" is a bit tough, lol, but if you can narrow it down to what you're looking for... such as... simple, intermediate, rebuildables, basic MODs, complex MODs, tanks, etc, I think we can help to focus in on what you're looking for...
  7. Baked pork tenderloin (1" cut) with mashed potato and buttered, pan-fried green beans
  8. Well folks, here's the tally so far: Number Responded - 32 Low Juice Limit - 10 ml High Juice Limit - 140 ml Average Juice - 40.70 ml
  9. I guess my first question now is "what battery are you using?" I use Kanger single-coil and dual-coil tanks (all are glass but two), and get decent vapor from each one, but I'm also using a Variable Voltage / Variable Wattage battery. Vapor production has nothing to do with glass or plastic... glass just holds up longer and is better for cinnamon/citrus/menthol/mint flavors, as they will tend to crack plastic tanks. Aspire, Kanger, Anyvape, whatever tank you use... the key is to find one (or two) you like and use a good battery. Coil resistance is a factor as well, and which one you use will be a matter of personal preference, as well as your battery's capabilities.
  10. Ah, I missed the VT store in your list I agree, why pay more if you don't have to... I'm an online shopper too... and if I could have my milk and eggs delivered out here in the sticks, I'd not even go to the grocery, lol. My local B&M is a rip-off on everything... juice is 100% marked up over online prices, and their equipment/hardware is 300-500% mark-up! On top of the fact that they show you a "genuine" item from the case, but sell you a clone most of the time!! Now, another store about 20 miles away has comparable prices to online for juice, and their mark-up on hardware is not horrible, and no clone/knock-offs. I'll pick-up a new flavor to try from them, or a drip-tip, etc. from time-to-time... and sometimes I'll just stop by to see what's new. That is where I bought my MVP from, and it was the exact same price as the lowest online vendors.... It's also nice to know I'm not the only person who accomplishes all their Christmas shopping from the comfort of their keyboard! I've not stepped foot in a store for "Christmas Shopping" purposes in nearly a decade... and yes, Amazon Prime probably hemorrhages money on my shipping costs annually!
  11. Online shops will almost always be cheaper because they don't have the overhead (rent, utilities, staff, etc.) that a B&M has. That being said, you also have to be careful where you buy online, especially from eBay (although many good deals come from there too)! I've not purchased from Mad Vapes, but others have mentioned them before, with nothing bad to say about them as I recall. There are many reputable vendors listed on this forum (as bcarter just listed above), as well as the VT shop has good prices too. There's nothing wrong with saving some $ by buying online, but if your B&M is a "good" shop, it doesn't hurt to buy from them from time to time, or when you need something "now"... it will help to keep them in business.
  12. True enough... if you drink enough of it, you compound the inability to taste anything :D Or possibly stand!
  13. Yes, change flavors!! Your taste buds get overwhelmed by the same flavor over and over, and desensitize over time. Adding some variety daily or every other day will really help with your flavor perceptions. I vape a lot of sweet cigar and chocolate based flavors, and adding a few hits from sour-apple and sour-grape tend to really wake-up my taste buds!
  14. Excellent suggestion for trying another flavor... I know when I lose flavor on my "favorite" flavor, it is 99% of the time alleviated by vaping a couple of days on something different. I even bought a good sour-apple and sour-grape which are excellent pallet cleaners when I vape too hard much on my chocolate or sweet cigar! Oh, and drink another glass of water
  15. It's much easier to keep up with when you only have one or two flavors, lol I was having issue keeping up with mine (two main flavors, one "occasional" flavor). One thing that helped me was colored glass tanks, and the use of AeroBases on my KPT2s. Two of the KPT3 minis were purchased with smoke glass for the same price as "clear", and I picked up smoke-glass tanks for a couple of my KPT2's, which are now used for one flavor, and the clear ones are used for another flavor. My "occasional" flavor is in a KPT2 with standard base, whereas the others all have AeroBases, so it makes it easy to visually spot which flavor is in which tank.
  16. I rarely find that my MOD's resistance meter is accurate, as compared to a REAL OHM meter. I've tested 1.5 coils that read 1.6 on the real Ohm meter, and the MVP will read them from 1.6 to 1.9, depending on how it "feels" that day, lol. One of my 2.2 coils actually read differently each time I checked it... ranging from 2.3 to 2.6. Also, a dirty battery contact, or a tank not screwed-down snug will cause higher readings. Yes, quality-control is not perfect at the factories, but coil resistances are "close enough" to the value stamped on the side. At least I've only found coils that read 0.1 or 0.2 higher (using a real Ohm meter) than what is stamped on the side... I've not found any sub-ohm coils (yet). This inconsistency is why I bought the MVP... I can set my Wattage to what I prefer for the juice I'm using, and forget it, because, regardless of the coil's resistance, the Voltage will adjust automatically to provide a consistent vape.
  17. Thanks Comp... I'll check out the Flavor Apprentice for a good starting point on my way to DIY! I knew to stay away from Loranne's, at least the colored ones because of food colorings... Perhaps someday I'll make a flavor even you'll be proud of.... LMAO!
  18. Excellent starter list Comp... Thanks!! I've been mixing my own "flavors" for a couple of months to get blends that I like, but I've been looking into mixing from scratch. My biggest flavor concerns are the different flavor concentrates... Do you have a few suggestions on brand or concentrate mixes? I've dabbled with adding raw flavors to 5ml batches of tobacco (or other flavor base), using different Vanilla, Chocolate, Grape, and Black Cherry flavorings, and they seem to range from "OMG strong" to "where's the flavor?". Some came out great, some not so much
  19. Use a small, flat-blade screwdriver and wedge between the pin and the 510 connector's wall... Very gently pry up in a couple of places... it should lift a tiny bit.
  20. The center pin on the battery may have been pushed down, or the center pin of the coils may be too tight (pushed up). The easy way to find out is to grab the center pin on the coil with a pair of tweezers (or similar) and gently pull the center pin down a VERY tiny bit... fractions of a nanometer... Then put it back on the battery and try again.
  21. Welcome to VT... The spinners are nice VV devices, and many people use them as their go-to battery. If you're looking for something self-contained, that does not require recharging batteries separately, I highly recommend the Innokin MVP 2.0. Yes, it is a box, but it's easy to handle, and most of all, sits stable on the table I get two-days easily on mine without recharging and the performance is stellar for a $40 unit.
  22. I do love the look of wood, especially when coupled with aged bronze, brass (with patina), or mirror-finish Sterling Silver.... sadly, they are usually well beyond my price ranges... maybe someday, though....
  23. I don't have any MODs that require 18650's, but I do have several flashlights that do, and I keep my NiteCore 4-bay charger with at least 2 batteries in it at any given time... It has never let me down... never gotten hot... never failed to properly charge. Now all I need is to break-down and buy a VTR, and a couple batteries for it!
