  1. I do plenty of research before I attempt anything I'm not comfortable with. And I have a couple buddies that can show me the in's and out's. Just something I haven't had time to look into yet. But seeing all these sweet mods is pushing the process along haha.
  2. I was about to say the exact same thing. In my opinion a good brisket takes atleast 10 hours. I have done it using the searing/oven method and it turned out mediocre. Flavor was pretty good but was not near as tender as I would like. Over all I definitely suggest not wasting 10 bucks on a brisket unless you're going to smoke it right!
  3. I totally need to learn about this. Lol.
  4. I don't think it's possible to make a good brisket in an afternoon! lol. But I would suggest searing on grill then baking in oven at around 275 until done. You can also use wood chips with a gas grill. I normally soak them for about 3 hours, then pack them into some foil and poke some holes in it. This allows the smoke to flow through the holes without burning up the wood chips too quickly. This method however, normally will take me about 10-12 hours for a finished product.
  5. I have only been smoke free for about a month and a half. I tried to smoke an analog about 3 days ago, took two drags and put it out. Awful! Even when my friends light up I can't stand the smell anymore! I have to say I do feel a LOT better since I've stopped.
  6. I don't have a problem with anyone here. What I got is what I deserved apparently. In the forums I am accustomed to it is highly disrespectful to sell your product on someone else's thread. Apparently here it is not. No harm no foul would just like to move on.
  7. My focus was never selling a product. In fact I don't even have a product to sell. I came here to learn. I just thought that because I liked my custom stand so much, some others may like one as well, and I have the tools and equipment to create them. Obviously I do not plan to do business here in either case after the recent events, and it appears Mark has that under control anyway. Thanks.
  8. And just to clear things up. I do admire your workmanship, your pieces have incredible character. When I said I wanted my pieces to have more workmanship/detail I simply meant I wanted them to have a more intricate/modern design rather than the traditional style. The piece I have posted a picture of, like I said, was a very quick (literally about 10 minutes) mock-up of a design I plan to create. I just wanted opinions on the design itself. I am fairly new to the world of vaporizers and am just not sure what types of designs people are after. I feel if you are willing to forgive me for my outbursts, we can have a relationship that is beneficial to both of us.
  9. Mark, sorry for being such a hothead. I have been an outstanding member in many forums and never had problems with anyone. I'm actually a pretty easy guy to get along with. We obviously just had a mis-communication and apparently I was not in the right state of mind to respond respectfully. I took what you said as a "You're stand sucks, anyone want to buy mine?" type thing and you must admit it came off that way in a sense. As I said, I'm not here to pick fights or throw around insults. Things were just comprehended incorrectly and it turned into a much larger ordeal than it should have been. Forgive and forget, or pick one. As I always say.
  10. I have already apologized and if the admin wishes to remove these posts he may do so.
  11. I agree I reacted a little bit ridiculously, and I apologize, but it came across to me that he took offense to something that was not meant offensively, as well as pushed his products on a thread that was created for mine. In my eyes that is disrespectful. I looked forward to being a member of this forum and learning from everyone here, however, it seems I will have to take my business elsewhere. I am not here to throw insults, but I also didn't come here to be looked upon like a ingrate. So like I said, Thank you to those who have helped me already, and have a nice day.
  12. Don't know why you would respect such an egotistical prick. Lol you're all asshats as far as I am concerned. Good luck fellas. Later.
  13. I can handle competition, but if I wanted someone to come into my thread, tell me I'm an idiot, then continue to sell his products on a thread that was created for mine, of course I'm going to get pissed off. I was not trying to say your work was not good, I was simply saying I plan to put more detail and intricacy into mine. However you decided instead of saying "Oh I'm sorry I took that the wrong way" It was you're an idiot my stands are the **** who wants to buy one? Not to mention, like I said, every one of your "ideas" I can buy on ebay for $20. But thanks for all the "ideas". Next time I want to pay $60 for a piece of wood with a square notch cut out of it I'll let you know.
  14. And number two, who said "HEY WILL DICKHEAD MARK COME OVER HERE AND POST ALL OF HIS STANDS WHILE THIS NEW GUY TRYS TO SHOW PEOPLE HIS" No...dont think so. You're a big headed prick. And your stands are junk quite frankly. I can drill 50 holes in a wood block too. Thanks to everyone that was helpful to me here. Unfortunately your dickhead admin could not be so helpful. Later.
  15. Well thanks to those who actually did help me. This was a short lived stay as I will be leaving this forum.
  16. Number one, I did not mean that in disrespectful way, I just meant that I planned to have more intricate designs. In other words, yeah you make yours custom, but how many of those same designs have I seen on ebay/amazon? All of them. But thanks for jacking my post and acting like a dickhead. I will now be leaving this forum.
  17. I really love the grain in the "ember glow" piece. That's incredible. What kind of wood is that?
  18. Pretty cool though. I've seen several I've liked and several I didn't. I just think it would be neat for people to be able to say hey I want one like this and I can make it. Just sayin. Gives me something to do with my free time anyway
  19. Similar. Except I plan to have much more detail/workmanship. Also I can design them to a specific person's needs rather than just buying a mass produced one that may or may not fit your vapes.
  20. That would be way cool. Trade for a sweet wood one? lol
  21. Lmao, well that sure took a sharp turn in the wrong direction.
  22. This is in no way shape or form a finished product. This was simply a mock-up of an idea so I could see how I liked the design/functionality In other words, finished, this thing would have trim, routed edges, stain and varnish, etc. In either case, would anyone be interested in something like this?
