  1. mescalines a hell of a drug.
  2. so does the tekkeon, there are two usb ports on the bottom where the larger of the two is output and smaller is input. the cable that comes with it has adapters for both + a bunch of cellphone adapters.
  3. building mods takes a good amount of time, depending on what it is made from. thats why when i put mine out it will be similar to injection molding. pretty much the fastest turn over on building you can do.
  4. roober makes lemon heads juice i make lemon-aid juice if you want something really good hit vt and snag the sweet dawn other than that hit up apple-caramel. if you don't mix go to vaporbomb.com and create your own do 30ml part one apple, part two, apple, part 3 caramel.
  5. i use different bottles that don't leave drops, its like rainx on a window. for your needs though.. take off the dropper part and submerge the bottle about half way into hot water. do not boil them as they will collapse and pretty much be unusable.
  6. Q: Fatty or the Volcano Infreno, and what they thought of it. A: both look like riva ecigs just rebranded. riva is a good ecig. i don't know anything about the fattys brand name but volcanoecigs was where i started with this whole thing. back then they didn't have the infereno but i used the magma. the magma takes 510 attys and cartos. Q: Was also wondering if anybody has an opinion on these: http://www.volcanoecigs.com/cartomizers.html or http://www.volcanoecigs.com/mega-cartomizers.html A: first link is for the smallest of their line, don't get. other link is the 510, at $12 i say give them a shot but don't go buying a crazy amount of them. you can get cartos at $1 a pop usually that have the fiber filling and thats what i use all day. Q: So what do the VTrans have to say? Joye eGo, VaporTokers Fatty, or Volcano Inferno? A: everyone here will say ego. we all know they perform very well. as for me i'd skip the fatty and either do ego or inferno. (in this line up) the smallest model is the same as the blu, BUT, their quality seems better and you don't have the shipping/return issues that blu has/had. --- i haven't finished this guide but its well on its way. check it out. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/8803-the-noobie-guide/
  7. (Please only post questions OR additional noobie info in here to keep this thread clean. ie: no thank you, good post, etc, posts) This is to help you play catch up on what the veterans know. Basic ecig Parts A.) Cartridge - holds the ejuice and is also a mouth piece. this part can be replaced with a drip tip and is what most do B.) Atomizer - has an element that heats up the ejuice and as you pull air threw it vapor is produced. * sub B section - you can also use cartomizers, they are atomizers with filler to hold juice and are a tad shorter in size. C.) battery - these will be 3.7v Lithium Ion batteries, they supply the power to the atomizer. they come in auto (activated by suction) or manual (activated by button) Common Ecigs What's the best ecig This is more dependent on how you vape and your needs for vapor, throat/lung hit, battery life needs and other factors. Most people will advise the ego/tornado/riva as they all have a nice battery life and are built good (ego being the favorite of the three) this is the ego mega and regular batteries with manual buttons Ecig Model Numbers These are based on the atomizer they use when one says 510 kit, they generally are referring to the cigarette shaped ecig. like the first picture of this post. Why we tell you not to get cigarette shaped ecigs A cigarette shaped battery runs $12 for a normal manual 510 9hrs at $20 (ego battery) 540mins 45mins (510 kit battery) 540 ÷ 45 = 12 12 (batteries) x $12 = $144 so for mAh (Milliamp hours), it is a lot less expensive to buy a larger battery. this will also keep you from having to buy more batteries. explained after next set of math. 510 kit batteries needed for 9hrs 9hrs (540mins) ÷ (45min run time + 2hr charge time = 165mins) = 3.272727273 batteries needed to run 9hrs on 510 kit 3 x $12 = $36 - 1 ego battery = $20 = $16 saved. that is initial cost only!! 45min x 2 is what you have ready to go after your first needs charged (90mins). your first battery is going to take 2hrs to charge so by the time you run out the other two the first is done charging. so just to keep going you would need at bare minimum you want two 510 chargers, this means more $$. why you ask? at night when you don't have a single battery to use, you will only be able to charge 1 while you sleep. it would be more ideal to have 3 or one of the larger chargers that do more than one and have no less than 10 batteries ready to go. on top of this when you go out you will have a pocket full of batteries, making this not a very portable device to bring with you. other than that you have to recharge more often and the more you charge the more you replace. batteries have an # of recharges before they start failing to keep their charge. now you may say by logic that you are only charging once on those small batteries in that 9hr time, so there isn't an issue on life, BUT, the smaller the battery the less times you can charge it before the failing starts. also consider that you have 3 batteries that will fail First Order When you get an ecig make sure that you have spares of everything. the atomizers, cartomizers, batteries, and juice are all going to need purchased at some point again. Your first cart should consist of NO LESS than, 5 atomizers, 2 packs of cartomizers (5 in a pack), your kit, 2 extra batteries (i would advise mega batteries), 1 extra charger, and a nice amount of juice. the last thing you want is to have to wait on something you didn't buy enough of to come in. if one thing is missing you will go right back to smoking, nobody wants that. Mods and Why Mods are usually over looked or not even known to noobies of the ecig world. these devices can be anywhere from 3.7v to 8.4v. the point is that some people need one of two things, longer battery life with less cost and/or an aggressive throat hit. as a newbie i wouldn't advise a mod above 3.7v that doesn't have the option to go as low as 4.2v if it is not a variable voltage you are stuck on that till you get something lower if you don't like it. i say 4.2v because any 3.7v battery charges UP TO 4.2v. most people love vaping that initial fresh charged battery. voltage drops after usage to as low as 2.9v Mods will use batteries like these these are all 3.7v batteries with a much longer charge life vs a kit ecig. you can find almost all of these batteries from US suppliers for $5 each. a 3.7v mod using the largest battery (18650) can last you 4+ days @ $8 for the battery. some mods can last up to 4+ days before needing to be recharged. I'm not going to go into mods or pictures of mods. you can do that on your own, also watch youtube videos about the mods before thinking its large. the standard ones people use are silver bullet mako tekk mod (prone to cracking at the top unless you find someone that knows how to make them correctly) some sort of wetbox (check reviews of these missys wetbox fails quite often due to her under rated buttons and cost $15 to fix) (there are a crazy amount of mods out there, this is just a small list of the most talked about) Abbreviations General Noob - Beginner OP - Original Post(er) Analog - Regular Cigarette Mod - Homemade device or a Moderator. 8. they are both for charging portable devices, but if you use a 5v pt or 3.7v pt you can use any device that has usb with a power out source. for the money the tekkeon is much better due to double the battery life, look, and has a flash light.
  9. the tekkeon mp1800 is 4,000mAh, 5.2v @ 2amp / $34 that one is 1,800mah, 5v @ 1.5amp / $56 also the tekkeon has a flash light.
  10. one of the things i'm building is a portable dock for my zune i found this but its a tad expensive http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=264-884&ctab=2#Tabs
  11. vt has builk freedomsmokeusa you can get 120ml bottles of juice (use discount code newbie for 30% off, make your order huge because i think its for your first time only) vaporbomb does weekly 30ml bottles at $10, most of their juice is pretty inexpensive already though.
  12. i don't mean they are named A but i think of them like A-frame houses (the apex = bridge) personally i like 5v mods darryle2s, so the carto on a 5v beats dripping at 3.7v, due to flavor kicking back up and vapor production. if you use 801, 808, 901 you get a much cooler vapor on 5v than 510 on 5v, but either way its all good. not like your vaping lava or anything.
  13. i would be one of the best to ask.. i used to drip like a mad man and have tried every trick. what you want are the fibers under the bridge. this would be the inside of the 510 with out the tube around it. the (A shaped) point (top) is the bridge. now on either side you can see white fibers. that is your wick. DO NOT PULL OUT THE BRIDGE like everyone says to. you will leak like crazy!!! another image to give a better view of the wick. again don't mess with the (A) frame looking part.
  14. i guess that depends on the type of toothpaste you use. using crest (like uber white, bleach your face off, but doesn't work) toothpaste and i then have to brush my teeth and tounge about 4 times with water to taste my vape.
  15. +1 on joe and chris sometimes also i find its like wearing colone, after a bit of time you get used to it where you can't smell it / cant taste the vape (at all or as much). different things you eat or drink can have the same effect. just last night i was talking to day and qt about eating salad with Italian dressing, i cant taste anything after. vape something else for a few hrs or a day and then go back to your normal vape.
  16. if you are any good with an iron and doing tiny solder work, you could build one. can tell you how with a parts list (direct urls)
  17. lol no mom. something different but i would like to get a good amount of them.
  18. so those ipod docks have tiny little speakers that have metal domes and i think about 1" in size. i cant seem to figure out where to get just the speakers at.. i have a little project and want a few of them at the least amount of money "thus not buying a ipod dock". the speakers look like this can anyone help me find just the speakers? or speakers of 1 - 1.5" that can deliver some really nice base "for the size". i want something that isn't paper dome due to paper domes are kinda junk.
  19. every time i talk to someone new about ecigs, they all want that small cig shape. i try to explain it to them, but they just want those ones with tiny batteries. but then again so did i, till about 1hr after i had mine. look at me now, i have a radial flyer with 5 ton of batteries when i go out and about. hehe.
  20. or i can hire you and then go to bed, lol
  21. thats all i was looking for when i hit the page.. seriously im out of it today
  22. lmao, i'm so not with it today. its the first thing there, how does one miss that?
  23. you want to also check your ga. 510 = 18ga 808 = 16ga blunt tips (though i'm sure you know that)
  24. you have measurements on that?
  25. i tried blender before.. that lasted a few hrs till i said "ENOUGH".
