  1. ordered 4 14500 batteries and a charger. my brother was susposed to take off the threads on my mini maglite but he didn't get a chance to do it at work. he is off till tuesday. sigh. i want to vape with these batteries but i don't even think i have something i could mod to use a single battery. guess it's time to go raid the house.
  2. i got a sample of strawberry-colada and that was killer. if i werent to mix my own juice i would only buy from dawn
  3. i got my 510 attys from volcano ecigs. been using 3 of them for over 80 days now w/o an problem. i do tend to use one more than the other two. i haven even directly ran the 5v usb port on my pc to them when my batteries died. attys are normally subjected to 3.7v totally wicked seems to have some dependable products. what may be a better choice is to check out the review section of this form. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/99-electronic-cigarette-reviews/
  4. yeah netbooks aren't for anything other than being able to check email and surf. i love asus! would kill to have an asus with an i7 and around 4-6gb of ram with dedicated ram for the gpu.
  5. firefox is my fav of all three. for the hardware mac is to expensive for my taste apple does have some nice software though.
  6. as long as i dont use ff or opera while chrome is open it works good. flv video hates me in chrome though.
  7. not that it matters but i'm on mandriva (linux for the ones that dont know). in windows FF crashed.. more than it loaded a page. i seriously would hold my finger over the quick open once i clicked a link or bookmark to open back up firefox. same thing in linux. chrome is crazy slow.. and how does such a small web client perform so dysfunctional with flash? opera the fastest browser in the world.. so they say.. loading pages is about as slow as running windows vista on an atari. maybe they mean the application is fast. i'll give it that. why is it such a complicated task to have a dependable browser with flash, pulling up pages and application speed. if you could fuse the three, you would have something worth using. i didn't include IE because, well, who would.
  8. if i'm not mistaken you can make spiced apple cider by mixing apple, cinnamon, and and clove. if you were to do this, i wouldn't use much cinnamon and even less clove.
  9. they don't monitor the current draw. the usb is designed to put out a steady current and that is it. just like the power company would have no idea the power consumption you use with out the jigga-watty thing outside. the most simplistic way.. every time you push the tac switch it would send a block of data sending a signal that it is on.. sends that data back threw the two wires used for data and into some ultra basic calculation software that figures out time from push being on till no signal.
  10. that's not a hidden agenda. that is a vicious back hand to the face of America. the government sure does like to keep that pimp hand strong. if there weren't ecigs, i would throw down like the Boston tea party. our founding fathers over threw their government for the same things that are currently happing, as far as corruption, agendas, taxes, etc.
  11. lmao if that was a movie, i would be first in line. linux ftw.
  12. even if i bought that, it wouldn't fit in my mini pc.. seriously, that thing is half the size of my pc in width! 4gb! christ on a cracker! i dont even have 2gb of ram in this pc. here is a pic of the mega 180 pc i own
  13. i can't take credit for the picture. it is actually from another forum i am on. the thread was about how to rebuild an atty. for something that can get extremely hot, i can not understand why they would put plastic that close to a heating element. well, other than turn over on profit from sales of new ones.
  14. i actually just posted in the noobs section about what can happen if an atty gets to hot. what might have happend is the plastic in the bottom of the atty melted and sealed the air hole. take a look at the picture. in the middle is the hole that feeds air to the atty. now if that hole is sealed then that could be the problem
  15. i usually only clean mine when i will be swapping to a new flavor. pretty much i let them soak in hot water from the tap. once it is cold i put them under hot running water to flush them out. set it behind something that blows hot air (my xbox does this for me nicely). then after i'm sure all the water is gone from the wick i drop in 3 drops and set it vertical for about 10mins. come back and thrown in 2 more drops and vape. i have been using the same 3 attys for 80+ days. when i read the crest, alkie, and all those other seemingly extreme cleanings people do are the same ones that complain that attys don't last long.
  16. the atty has a coil under the bridge (the metal you can see inside the atty). this coil has a wick and that can burn if it is not containing liquid. sure you have tasted that before when your cart or drips ran out. the only other problem would be that under that coil where the pos (+) and neg (-) terminals go to the threads and middle conductors has a plastic base inside that area. if this area were to melt then the hole you suck air threw that pulls air from the bottom can get sealed. in the picture provided you can see this plastic and how it got warped.
  17. did you have that over here? i can't remember what one you let me try.
  18. i wouldn't ask the CS. when i got on the plan i would ask one of the flight attendants after explaining that is pretty much a personal vaporizer. after all they are the ones you will be directly in contact with.
  19. just like pop' i bought the magma from volcano. it's not a bad ecig but the 160mAh last me all of 30mins if i vape like i usually like to do. if i could do it all over again, i would have invested into a mod (like i am doing now), or went with something with a large mAh rating. though the 510 atty is pretty awesome and all my mods will start with that. might try a 801 and 901 at a later time.
