MSmom601 got a reaction from jonnoh in Foot and leg cramps?
I am a true believer in dill pickles and pickle juice for cramps...my kids make popsicles with it for summer time and we drink it straight out of the jar...I don't like bananas so the pickle works for me.

I hate water with a passion and cannot drink it plain. I also drink a LOT of alcohol on the weekends on the lake and that combined with vaping can dehydrate you immensely. I have started using Mio (the little bottle you squirt flavor into water) and Crystal Light packets you mix with a bottle of water. The Crystal Light with Caffeine is the BOMB for a boost. 60mg of caffeine per packet about the same as two coffees.

Michelle, that's awesome that he got into being a tester. I wish I could do that for a living! Talk about being happy to go to work for a change, haha!! Plus since he is a Steelers fan, he is a good man in my book. As far as being accident prone, haha! That is the story of my life. Although I didn't break my setup, my gf did, but that's just how my "luck" goes.. and yes, it is a Great feeling! Congrats to you and keep up the good work!
Fishguy, what's wrong with my avatar? It's Mr. Rogers putting on the Freddy sweater while wearing the glove. I thought it was hilarious and on a pretty sweet side note, Fred Rogers is from my hometown as well. So it's like Im supporting a hometown legend, with a twist of horror humor. Thanks for the props, yeah I think my gf rushed out to get me that Vision Spinner and Nauti Mini because she was afraid I was gonna go back to smoking cigarettes, which I tried to assure her I wouldn't. I believe thanks to vaping, I will NEVER spend another dollar on those killers..

MSmom601 got a reaction from mkauthen in Hello all, some help please.
I had to increase my original nic level also...I smoked a pack a day and started with 12mg, I increased to 18mg after a few months and have never looked back. Hang tough! Multiple tanks with multiple flavor options also worked for me, in the beginning I got bored with a flavor after an hour or so and had to swap. Best of luck!

MSmom601 got a reaction from Crystalyn in Moving on uuuup
I've been using a pen since Feb. I've thought about branching out, but I'm happy with my set up. I do try out different style tanks, but other than that I still use my starter kit.

MSmom601 reacted to Compenstine in How much juice do you use in a week?
Around 25-30ml depending. It is hard to judge since I vape up to 6 different flavors though out the week.

Same here and I thought that was a lot. I feel much better after this thread.

It is a mental thing, you have not set it in your mind to really quit.
It does take some will power to make it work. You may be letting your friends and alcohol weaken your resolve.
Wanting to quit and being determined to quit are very different..

I think this calls for a little poem
....ahem....
If they want to ban vapin'
And g-a-y cohabitatin'
Then there ain't no mistakin'
Their brain cells got forsaken
They're lacking in gray matter
As crazy as the Hatter
No idea they are the latter
Skulls so full of batter
Can they simply be misguided?
Or truly single-sided.
Or can it be decided
That their boat cannot be righted
The lot is surely putrid
Who would ban these things so lucid
But at risk for being booted,
I'll just call them stupid

MSmom601 reacted to Rodeo302 in Comment on "Our" Government
Well they are right quitting is easy if you find what works for you and obviously e cigs do so I dont see what their problem it's with them besides the money.

MSmom601 reacted to jonnoh in Comment on "Our" Government
They're idiots in Washington D.C.
Who think quitting smoking is easy
They won't allow ads
That show vaping has
made quitting like playing Parcheesi,
Playing Parcheesi is easy
Quitting is now just as breezy.
Vaping has taken
all the pain with its fakin'
And has made us now all smell Fabreezy.

MSmom601 got a reaction from mkauthen in I bought a pack of cigarrattes
I had an analog a couple times a week during the first 5 mons of vaping...Then one day my sis-n-law fired one up and I thought I was going to choke...I haven't had one since it has only been 3 mons, but that is progress. Hang in there keep at it.

MSmom601 reacted to Tam in Would you try Vaping if you Never tried a Cigarette?
If I never smoked analogs? I'd like to think I would stay away from it but I honestly don't know. As a former smoker of 30+ years I was just happy to have found something that actually worked to get me off cigarettes when everything else didn't.

MSmom601 got a reaction from sloeginfizz in No flavor No vape
I have been vaping 18mg 50/50 for about 2 months, however I'm wondering why with some liquids it seems I get no vape and no flavor? I haven't changed any of my gear just branching out when it comes to vendors. Any suggestions

MSmom601 reacted to Earthling789 in FDA Admits E-Cigs are Safer than Smoking
The government, bought and paid for by big-tobacco and big-pharma, has no interest in anyone quitting. If they did, ANY alternatives or cessation method of your choice would be cheap as dirt, and probably given away by every health-department, hospital, clinic, or doctor's office across the country, just like birth-control!

MSmom601 reacted to Scuba-Matt in Teens being tempted into smoking analogs by using e-cigs?
I just can't help but feel that big tobacco and governments are behind all the bad publicity that ecig are getting. Neither wants to lose the revenue that the tobacco products give them.

MSmom601 reacted to Earthling789 in FDA Admits E-Cigs are Safer than Smoking
It's all about "equality", with some industry being more equal than others...
A week's worth of smokes - $40... a week's worth of Juice - $15... so the gov't, in their infinte wisdom, and pressure from tobacco lobby, work to tax and regulate vaping until juice costs 300% more, or $45 for a week's worth ... Then we have a "level playing field" for alternatives, which does not give advantage of one over the other... unless of course you count the extra $5 for vaping juice, which the gov't is okay with, because the juice is not as bad for you as smoking... so you should pay more for the healthier alternative (so they say)!!

MSmom601 reacted to aufin in FDA Admits E-Cigs are Safer than Smoking
They may come around to the realization that PV's are safer than tobacco, but, I believe, that won't stop them from trying to tax the crap out of the juice side......there's too many dollars flying around that they're not getting their greedy hands on. I may be wrong, but I've been told their intentions are to tax a bottle of juice the same as a carton of cigarettes. Greedy !$^&*$^^!!!

MSmom601 got a reaction from Breal in Quitting Cigarettes for the nth time!
I am suffering with the same struggles. I started vaping in Feb I have actually purchased 3 packs of smokes during that time. It is a mental addiction for me. When I'm around someone who smokes my "brand" I have the need to smoke one. It always tastes terrible and I tend to throw it down after a few puffs, but I just can't say NO! Hang in there as I will, eventually I believe I will kick this nasty habit.
Best of Luck

MSmom601 reacted to Earthling789 in Thoughts on vaping around children?
I'm of a different mind-set, I guess. Children are more curious about things that are "hidden" from them, so the more you hide, the more curious they become. My children were brought up around all kinds of dangers, yet they were never hidden from them (farm implements, machinery, tractors, motorcycles, knives, guns, bow/arrow, smoking, etc.), they know and understand the dangers around them. Which is one of the reasons I finally stopped smoking... for my kids (as much as me)... they understood the danger and how bad it is for you, and I realized what a horrible example I had become for them by telling them, "do as I say, not as I do".
But back to hiding things from kids... I find that kids are more likely to "play with matches" if they have no idea what they are for, and if they are hidden away in the back of a cabinet. Sure, kids should be protected from dangers, but I don't believe in feeding their curiosity by hiding anything from them.... but that's just me
