Thanks for the offer Jolly. Thats very kind of you. I have only had this PT for about 2 weeks since I exchanged it because the first one was doing something similar. I was assuming it was the button sticking after hearing the sizzle so I returned it for another. I think it might be the design of these particular ones. Like you said, why would they put that hole in the center. It's asking for juice to go there. I just looked at the description for it and it says it has a sealed 510 connector. You're probably right that the sizzle is just juice burning but it's scared me cuz now when I plug it in, it sizzles without pressing the manual button. I think what I'm going to do first is talk to Mark at Madvapes on Monday and see if he has a solution without having to put you through that. I will let you know though. I'm sure you would have her sealed up as tight as a......hmmm I could put so many statements here, but I'll be nice lol

My only source of using 5v is my 5v passthrough. I have returned one already because the manual button would stick. Madvapes graciously exchanged it for a new one. I've been using it with a carto plugged into an AC outlet for a few days now. Today, I saw a little juice leakage seeping from the bottom where the led and cord are. I wiped it off and hoped it was just from running down the side of the PT. But then I just got a SIZZLE and "what looked like" smoke from the carto. Now, I guess it could be the button sticking again but...I immediately unplugged it. I don't wanna use it now without it being looked at. Has this happened to anyone else? I thought they were sealed where the carto or atty connects to it but on mine, theres a tiny hole in the center. I hope the wires inside are covered and protected in some way. Ugh! I love using the 5v with a regular 510 carto. Now I can't.

lol me too! My lay off was a year ago. Theres only just so many banquet/restaurant managers needed these days. Until something comes along, I'll vape away

Thats not too expensive for what it is and what it includes, but me is unemployed right now so until I save my pennies for something cool like that, I may have to pick up a fixed 5v battery and put all my inventory on it. I like the sound of that adjustable voltage though. You can use low res atty or carto on 3.7 then regular 510 atty or carto at 5v....very cool. Thanks again Car insurance payment or new PV....hmmm

I have 3.7v batteries and have used LR attys and have tried LR cartos which I like very much but can run a little too hot causing a burnt taste faster. I am about to try a medium res carto (2.5?) with my 3.7v and see if that holds flavor longer (thanks to a vape friend). I picked up my 2 amp AC usb yesterday for my 5v passthrough and OMG, a regular carto on 5v is awesome! I guess they will soak up alot of juice though at 5v huh. I guess my next question is what to get in 5v portable that isn't expensive and doesn't look like drug paraphernalia or isn't too big? A cute girly 5v, maybe with butterflies on it or flowers maybe. lol just joking

Okay, here is the response from Viking Vapor Hi Lori, In short it is the UV light that does this and watermelon is one of the quickest to change. In fact if left in direct sunlight it will change color in a matter of minutes usually. Other than the pigment change this has no effect on the liquids and is why most flavorings from the store will come in the brown UV proof glass bottles. Unfortunately dropper bottles of the nature used for e-liquids are typically only available in solid or clear. We find our customers tend to prefer the clear bottles in order to keep tabs on how much is remaining. I'm glad it wasn't me and my eyes. Yes, it is kind of unsettling. When you consider there could be some sort of "chemical??" reaction going on with it. The taste didn't change or anything, just color. And not just one shade I might add. The colors of the liquids when you get them are sort of cheezy and syrupy looking almost. Maybe, like you said, it's the quality. I just emailed them asking for an explanation. I would also like to know the ingredients use for flavor and such.

I got some juice recently from Viking Vapor. I got a few small bottles of various flavors. (great prices and good flavor btw) One of the flavors I got is Watermelon (which is yummy) and it was a deep pinkish color the last few days as the bottle sat on my desk. I vaped it a few times from my desk too. Well, today I grabbed that bottle to take it with me to the store and within minutes, it turned a light orange color. I asked my daughter who was with me, "is mom losing her mind, that was pink right?" What would cause this? It almost seems like the sunlight or maybe the heat from outside caused it. It's like 96 degrees outside here. Has this happened to anyone else?

I do still cough sometimes after my first vape "drag" in the morning. Not everyday but sometimes. I see it as your lungs being at a restful state from sleeping and then getting the heated first burn of last nights juice in the atty. (like FTJoe said) the concentration of that sitting juice.

I tried dripping while driving once, and I got liguid all over the place trying to keep my eyes on the road. I won't do that again. Hmmm, maybe Oprah will start a new campaign pledge. I won't drip and drive! What would make a good vanity plate for vaping?

I too, remember coughing alot in the beginning. I was even dizzy at first. It took me a few days to adjust and after that I was lovin it. You will too. Another thing to just keep in mind, sometimes PG liquids pose a problem with certain people. I know I can't vape PG without constantly clearing my throat, having a very dry throat and feeling like I'm not getting the nicotine. I use only VG based liquids. Just a thought to keep in mind if your coughing doesn't let up. You'll love this, you really will. So many flavors and parts to try. Good luck

I'm reading along in this thread, learning some stuffs. I'm still looking and searching for my perfect vape combination. I don't think I need anything thats 5v right now so I'm using 3.7v (tornado and T Rex). While I like LR cartos, it seems to me I'm using a crapload of juice in them and not necessarily vaping some of it. I mean, once flavor starts dropping down or I get a burnt taste, I add more, yet it doesn't take much more. It's almost like the heat isn't getting to all parts of the juice area. I read that FTJoe (Nice guy)tried some LR cartos that are moderate ohm at about 2.5?? I think I would try these if the resistance isn't like the regulars where I feel like I'm trying to swallow my tongue to get a "drag". I couldn't use regular cartos for that reason or regular 510 attys for that matter. Joe? Are they pretty smooth and not too hard of a draw? Before trying LR Cartos, I was using LR attys which are fine but I don't like them with carts that have filler. Burnt taste. ICK! I prefer the blue foam for taste IF I'm going to use a cart at all. I'm not much of a dripper although I do sometimes. (should probably rephrase that) I still have to get a 2 amp AC USB for my 5v PT cuz I really haven't tried that yet. I tried it plugged directly into the puter but I'm told I'm probably not really getting 5v with that. I've babbled long enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks all.

I have to agree with the last few posts about switching to VG based liquids. I cannot use PG, I get a very dry mouth, sore throat, irritablity, coughing and/or clear my throat alot, and yes, I got headaches too. I felt like I needed more from the vape, like not getting the nic I needed. Just a thought but maybe try VG if you are now using PG. Good luck. I hope it gets better.

I received my order today from Mrs T's Bakery Essentials. I haven't vaped each that long yet but I do very much like the Banana's Foster. YUM! It's a light buttery mapley flavor with a hint of banana at the end. I still have a taste issue but I can taste these flavors. Actually the only 2 places I've bought liquid from that I can get some real taste from are these and DIY Flavor Shack. I love her Waffle and Cheesecake. (so I ordered more of that today too lol) I also got Waffle from Mrs T's which is very similar to DIY's. I could all day vape this flavor. I also got a small bottle of Pumpkin Spice from Mrs T's. It's a new flavor that she wants feedback on. I like it but it's not as "tasty" as I'd like it to be. I do taste a hint of pumpkin but it seems a little harsh to me. It's hard for me to judge flavors but for smoothness, I like the Banana's Foster very much. Not too sweet, just right for me. Incidentally, I liked and tasted these flavors better with a LR atty with a blue foam filler on a tornado battery, as opposed to a carto. I think most flavors taste burnt and harsh with the regular cart filler. Is that fluval? Not sure. I have some liquids coming from Viking Vapor. They are very reasonably priced at 2.99/7.5 ml. Has anyone tried theirs yet? I should have them by the end of the week.

Do you think theres a big difference in the Bauway and SLB brands of attys? Madvapes carry both brands. Bauway is a little more money than SLB. Not sure what thats saying.

Good, I'm glad to hear more than one person say they like them. And 2 veteran vapers at that. Mark had me try a regular 901 last month and even with a regular, I could taste more. I'm hoping for even more with the LR. They don't seem to overheat like 510 attys as well.

Coolio I read somewhere on here or another site that the flavor might be better on the 901 attys and since I have difficulty tasting flavors, I thought I'd try them. I think I'm paying a visit to Rick and Mark at Madvapes tomorrow

Is the adapter used to attach a 901 atty to a 510 battery the same as the adapter for an 801? I wanted to try a low res 901 or 801 atty but want to make sure I have the right adapter. I have the 901 to 510 adapter. Also, has anyone tried these low res 801 or 901 attys?
