  1. Hello VT friends, ive had this issue for about a week (or more), and finally have returned back to the place I have found the most help from in the past (VT). I own the Joye 510, (Purchased June 2010) and quite simply, the battery light LED is stuck glowing. The battery will not charge, and it does not produce any vapor. When I plus it into the adaptor, the battery blinks 3 times, like normal, and then the light goes off, indicating a normal charge. However, upon unscrewing the battery from the adaptor, the blue light stays on. Upon first finding this issue, I thought to let the light/battery just die out, and re-charge like normal. However, its been over a week, the light has remained on (although it's more dim than before), and still wont operate normally. In addition, my adaptor doesn't work very well anymore. I have to hold the charged battery at an angle to get the red light to indicate "charging." I was wondering, if the light stays green (even if the battery is dead), does that mean the battery will not charge? i.e.- if the light isnt red, does that mean it doesnt charge? Thanks! -Justin
  2. Okay, here we go. I wanted to reduce my smoking, if not, eliminate it altogether. I had heard of vaporizers and e-cigarettes through a few people. And, after researching long and hard (Thank you, Vapor Talk), I decided to go with the unanimous winner, the Joye 510. After receiving a defective battery upon arrival, ecigexpress immediately shipped me a new part, and I was off on my journey. First day - I was weirded out, and unsure of how to use the "ecig." I had no idea how to maintain the device, and frankly was lost. (Thank you again Chris & VT for the info and guidance)... First week - I was getting used to it, and eventually took the device out for a night. Too bad for me it was Graduation night from college, and by 10pm @ the bar/afterparty, my battery was DEAD! I smoked about 3 analog/reg cigs that night, and ewwww. Glad that experience is over. 2/4 weeks - Getting used to charging the device habitually before i go to sleep, rotating the batteries and atomizers out habitually. *Began having problems with 1st atomizer. *Attempted cleaning methods in alcohol and hot water (almost to a boil) *Began experiencing clogged atomizers, floods, etc., while out for drinks and such. This is the WORST! Into my 5th week - Definitely love the vaporizer, and the only 2 occasions I have smoked a regular cigarette, I was out at a bar and my batteries were dead. Which SUCKS. Let me stress to you, SUCKS. I'm a little more than half way through my 1st nicotine bottle (24mg bottle of Ry-4, 30mL bottle). Considering which flavor to try next. I dont want to waste my money with a novelty flavor, but looking to maybe try something dif. Ry-4 tastes great, but i'm tempted by all the other flavors. I would highly recommend this product. I have essentially eliminated "regular cigarettes from my life. Day to day, life is better. I can breathe better, exercise longer (byfar), i smell better, and can take a few puffs off of my vaporizer every now & again, and that's that. No need to go out & chief down a cigarette anymore. I've recommended the product to a lot of friends, and I seemingly cant have a drink anywhere without having to explain why i have a blue LED illuminating from the end of a fake cigarette, lol. BUT- I try to keep in mind that for every person who inquires about it, I may save people from smoking regular cigarettes, and that to me is worth it. It's also a nice conversation starter. So, that's my review of the Joye 510. Thank you Vapor Talk for the community and insight! I'll keep checking back here periodically, while looking for new mods and flavors to try. -Justin http://www.justinhite.com
  3. I promised myself I'd do a write-up, that time has come. And after I put this laundry in @ 1:18am(eastern), I'll be right back to do so. lol. cheers
  4. Cool, thanks a lot Chris. PS - after day 1 of vaping, it feels different. still not sure how my body will react, but i do miss the "analog" a bit. I guess it's going to take some transitioning into...
  5. Thanks for the fast response guys, I emailed eCigExpress, hoping to hear back soon. On my receipt, it definitely says "Joye 510 Electronic Cigarette." If it isn't a genuine Joye product, wouldnt that be false advertisement? I'm guessing I may have just received a defective item. Anyhow, the other atomizer works great. Still getting used to it, and dripping, as well. Should i clean this thing off tonight, and would there happen to be a user-friendly guide to maintenance of our vaporizers somewhere on the forum, that I could follow? Thanks again. Love Vapor Talk!
  6. Hi everyone, I just received my first e-cig. After researching, I found Vapor Talk to be quite helpful, and ordered the Joye 510 "Startup Kit," from eCigExpress.com, and upon trying it out for the first time I've experienced a few problems. 1. The LED light wouldn't light up, when i took a draw. Finally, after hours of frustration, I switched atomizers to the 2nd one provided to me, and it works just great. 2. The atomizer, when connected to the cartridge, immediately begins heating up and seeping out vapor, even when I do not take draws off of it. It instantly begins heating up, and within 30 seconds, it's almost on fire. Again, no LED light either. After switching back out to the "good" atty, again, everything works great. Once again, rotating back to the "bad" atty, same thing happens, except the LED appears to light up, very dull. This is a brand new product, and I have researched before posting, so I've definitely checked the connection, used a needle and also a Q-tip to clean and ensure there is no mis-fire. Should I return this to eCigExpress? Thanks for your help, and excellent website, VT! -Justin
