Hi Bigjim, Yikes I didn't see that Vapor Pro charges what, $7-8 shipping? What would be the point of that? I just ordered 5 boxes from Madvapes. Anywayz, hopefully you've taken care of it?!

Hi, I came off a $100 spree just a few moments ago. What is it? Actually, I needed backups

Hi "From Me", I looked up the Smoke Relief Kit because I also didn't recognize it. It does look like a 510 knockoff. And snubber's post is accurate in terms of what to expect right off and what to do next. I suggest that you read up on getting started with the 510 in the forum. It will help you get your bearings. There's a learning curve to vaping, however we all began at the beginning! Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Wow! Well said! Kudos for posting!

Hi, e-cig express has them, except they're waiting for a restock, I emailed them about it. has them in stock now. If you google, you get a bunch of places for all different prices. Gluck. They are my faves!

Analog-free! Congratulations! Your questions are covered! Good luck on the vaping journey!

Hi, It's so good that you spoke up. It helps others. I am one of those people who haven't looked back since I began vaping 6/4. BUT, I've had my share of analog cravings. I vape, vape, vape when the craving comes on. It hasn't been easy to let go of something that was so much a part of me for so long. I notice EVERYONE who is smoking analogs everywhere I go. I gave away three cartons of analogs to a friend's spouse. I still have a couple of packs around somewhere 'just in case'. Yesterday I wanted to smoke an analog badly (stress going on, and interestingly yesterday, I was pretty angry about a few things). I thought who's going to know, and better yet who's going to care? I didn't do it. I think one of the things that propels me to keep going in the direction that I'm going in by vaping is that I feel so much better physically. I know that I would be trading that in if I were to start smoking analogs again. Vaping feels like the next right thing for me. I can still have cake (lots of cake), and eat it, too! I must say though, peer pressure is a b*^&h! Whatever you decide to do or not, there will be support here. Gluck!

Hi, if I may digress just as I was going to go out and buy lighter fluid to clean off my peeled carto, I just happened to take a paper towel with some lavender liquid soap from Target to it. That sticky is gone! I was impressed. It was way better than using nail polish remover. Re drip tips. When I dd, the empty plastic cart is really melting up, like worse than when I use them with filler. I try to position the atty bridge with the cart, but it seems like the cart just melts anyway. K, my query is will a Delrin plastic drip tip do this? I'm not fond of metal on the lips either (winter...?), but I'm leaning towards the Super T Stainless Steel 510 Contour Widemouth. I don't know whether to get the regular one or the shorty widemouth. Will I just make a mess with the contour tip pooling up or should I look into the straight widemouth? I'm in awe of the drilling techniques I've read about here, but it's highly unlikely that I will be doing any drilling on a drip tip (and not because I couldn't, the interest just isn't there). I guess I'm going to have to take a plunge and decide at some point...even if it's the wrong one for me.

Hi this...I've been vaping about two and-a-half months. You reminded me that at around the same time as you, I was flooding attys, trying to decide about filler, trying to master direct dipping (I was making quite a mess), and using cartos. I think that people new to vaping read up here, and then find their own favorite method. What works for some isn't going to work for others. I actually found and unpacked a bag of poly fill to use inside throw pillows when I recently moved back to NYC. I cut off a little piece and stuffed it into a cart. It worked fine, soaked up juice, and I could rinse it off. It was a little lighter in consistency than what normally comes in a cart, but essentially the throw pillow poly fill was the same. I played with that for a while and then moved on. Today, I use all of the above. I'm way better at dd...yay, and I dd when I'm sitting at the computer table. I use cartos when I'm 'on the road'. I was able to restore my flooded attys by vaping using an empty cart (which is dd). The rest of this for me has been trial and error and personal preference. Hey, good luck vaping!

Welcome to VT! Yes you did get your answer. As you progress you'll find what works best for you, and it changes as you go along. Good luck on your journey!

Another amusing avatar Hodgehound! Congratulations on the first 100 days! I too feel fortunate to have discovered the VT forum. You have been a person who welcomed me, made me feel a part of the vaping community, and generally has a kind supporting word for everyone! I think it's a miracle that we are not smoking analogs. I don't miss it not even for a second. Kudos and many more 100 days!

Hi, thanks for all the feedback here. I think that I've been timid about cleaning attys. Most all of the attys I'm using still produce great vapor, but it's been the burnty taste that well, doesn't taste good. I've run a couple under hot water from the faucet, and I've boiled a couple for a few minutes. That has helped restore them somewhat. I thank benjamin for his video. I'm reluctant to remove the bridge, but I guess I could give one a whirl and see what happens. As I mentioned somewhere I'm still working on not taking a mouthful of juice on direct dip (and drip tips have been recommended). I checked in with Janty USA and the atty warranty covers any Janty atty that dies for whatever reason within a six month period. I agree that you're paying for it up front and then you still have to priority mail it back for the replacement.

Thanks for all the drip tip suggestions and options! I just peeled off the black wrapper from a carto and put it on my eGo. I love the look. The only thing is the glue that keeps the wrapper on is pretty intense. Not sure how to get it off except with pardon me, spit.

Hi, I consider myself still pretty new to vaping. I passed the two month marker a week ago. I keep questioning whether my taste buds are worn out from smoking analogs for so many years. I started with 24 VG and now vape 18 PG from a variety of suppliers including a sampler pack. In the beginning also ejuice flavors stood out, but now many of the flavors just seem bland. As I vape longer with a flavor it seems to fade. Wondering if it's my tongue, the familiarity, the atty, etc.

How To Clean Atomizers And Cartomizers!
Lily replied to benjamin1990's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Hi, I watched this video in the early days, but I didn't really pay a lot of attention. Then when I posted a couple of days ago that my attys are tasting funky you suggested I look at this video. My attys are piling up and I am going to try to refurbish some of them. Thanks for doing the video. Signed, slow on the uptake! -
Hey Lex, glad you made it through. I coughed quite a bit the first day or so and then when I had the inhaling down on my 510, the coughing stopped. I was also lightheaded and headachey for a few days as well. I started at 24mg VG, now I vape 18mg PG. I have to say that I'm probably going to go back to 24 because I get a better TH with 24 and will do a VG/PG mix. I'm a little over the two month mark and am loving vaping still. Good luck!

The eGo I received from Janty was good to go when the mail carrier handed me the package. It was and still is a power house of vaping madness!

I am so satisfied with my Joye 510 and the eGo I ordered from Janty. Now it just seems to be ordering replacement batteries and attys. I did in the beginning get caught up with the ejuice of the month, but when all is said and done, the flavoring in ejuice is somewhat of a fleeting experience imo. I now have my faves, and unless something will strike my fancy or I want to experiment, I make every attempt to reign it in. I knew how much I was spending on reservation cigarettes per month (which was way less than many were and are paying for store bought). I try to keep my pv backup stock around that figure per month. I haven't done a breakdown, but I know I spent more initially. It was just so exciting and too much fun! I believe common sense kicks in after a while. I already know I won't be tempted by tree bark or a stun gun attachment! LOL!

I knew that it was time for me to begin researching drip tips! I have to say I've never burnt my lips on an atty. Is it a guy thing? Once in a 'I forget I don't smoke analogs anymore' while, I will vape in rapid succession, but normally I wait long seconds to let the atty cool, cuz as I've mentioned before on the forum, I don't want to stress the atty. I'm not sure why I stress so much about stressing attys, especially lately, but they are kind of pricey imo. To be honest after a couple of weeks on a good one, an atty tastes funky. At least that's been my experience. Cartos are a way better deal for what you get. If you recall I'm the one who used a carto for close to a month and it still tasted pretty decent. I think I did say I'm using a flat tip on a carto, didn't I? I think putting something on the end of a carto is more aesthetics for me than anything. I live in NYC and LOTS of people STARE ALL the time when I'm walking to and from. People seem to notice a blue light coming from somewhere and their peripheral vision wants them to make they're seeing what they saw. I also have to admit in this ramble that I am probably one of the messiest direct dippers in the community. I can't seem to find the right 2 to 3 drops that some of that doesn't end up in my mouth. There is no vitamin c in e-juice! K, now I'm getting silly...

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else has an issue with vaping from the soft tip on a cartomizer. I've been removing the soft tip and adding an empty flat top cartridge on my 510. It looks better to me, more finished. It makes it longer, more penstyle. Do most of you who use cartomizers just vape with the cartomizer as it is? Even though I don't believe in stupid questions, I hope this isn't one. Thanks for the feedback. I'm curious.

Hi, Oh my I've been too busy and haven't taken the time to say hi to so many new people who have joined since I began vaping a little over two months ago. I'm still a happy vaping 510 and eGo camper who direct dips, uses cartomizers for long excursions, and I still fill carts from time to time when I'm doing whatever around the apartment! K, my question is and I tried to research the forum (it IS probably here somewhere, but I haven't found it), and the Janty USA website. There is a six month warranty with a Janty atty. Unless an atty arrives DOA, what does a six-month warranty cover? Aside from the cost of a Janty atty, after a month, mine has become kind of burnty (is that a word?) tasting. I'm pretty sure it's not gunked-up, it just tastes a little crummy. I'm not sure I want to boil it or even run it under hot water. The most I do to any of my 510 attys is blow them out from both ends fairly regularly. The vapor that comes out of my eGo with this same atty is unbelievable. To be honest, I'm not really into performing time consuming tasks with my atty's. It's just more time than I have. Any replies will be helpful. Thanks

Imo vaping is a good way to dry out an atty that may be too saturated. It's that you don't want to over vape or it will just die a nasty death, the wire element that heats the wick with juice, it can break, and creates a very burnt yucky taste.
-
Hi eruelas, hmmmm...depending upon how long you've been vaping (I'm days short of two months), you'll get used to all the idiosyncrasies of batteries, attys, ejuice, etc. I tend to wait a few long seconds between inhales, to let the atty cool off, you know, to not stress it out too much. It is just a little piece of wire and a wick in there. Because a 510 has such a short battery life, I keep two units at the ready and lots of kleenex and a paper towel near the computer. Imo there is a taste to the condensation that forms on the cartridge whether I use filler in a cartridge or direct dip. I agree that the taste of ejuice is well, let's say, potent. When I'm filling up I just wipe the moisture off. Can an atty get too hot, oh yes! It has been described on the forum I want to say in many languages. I've had my 510 go off in my jean pocket when I've leaned up against a counter or have packages on my lap when I'm traveling on the subway. Ouch, it's there to remind you! Perhaps if it's feasible for you, have three units ready and rotate them. That way you can vape to your hearts content and not go through attys. I'm not using my original attys at this point, but I believe there are methods to stretch them out. Have you tried cartomizers? Anywayz, good luck with all of this. There isn't a question in this forum that won't be answered.

Hey, I received a replacement battery today from Janty, like it took only five days including last Sunday, the 25th, the day that I dropped it. I was asked to return by priority mail the damaged one. A special thanks to mcquinn for recommending that I file a ticket with Janty. I wasn't sure what to do as I felt I was responsible, kind of an ethical issue. On the other hand, I have been using the second battery continuously for a week now and I haven't had to charge it! Wow! I had my 510 as a backup. Anywayz, I said I would let you know. Thanks again!

Hi, thanks for the replies to this thread, I appreciate it. I just submitted a ticket to Janty. I'll let you know what happens.
