Hi, I had a bit of insomnia when I first began vaping for maybe a week. I was packing to move at the time and at first thought it was that. I ended up connecting it to eliminating analogs from my 'diet'. Since then, I've had no issues around falling asleep and staying asleep (well, unless I'm stressed about something...). I vape 16 to 18mg right up to the time I close the eyes. In my unscientific opinion, the body and brain are going through some initial changes. The 'stuff' that is in analogs is no longer being ingested so the body is adjusting to that. Some people can drink coffee right up to the time they fall asleep and sleep like a baby. That I can't do and don't drink any caffeinated substance after 4PM as well. I'm sure things will even out for you.

Yikes, lead in attys? Oh no!
-
Hi, coming up on my three month marker Saturday, Sept. 4! Yay!
-
Hi Stacy, yikes I'm sorry you had to go through all that. Please stick around the Vapor Talk forum bcuz you won't have to go through any more mishaps with ordering anything again. There are very knowledgeable people here. It's mostly how I learned everything I know about e-cigs. Don't worry about having to smoke analogs. You'll just start again. Good luck to you! Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Hi, I only saw this yesterday. I was trying to get over two horrible tasting orders I received this week, so I decided to check the e-liquid review section. Maybe I should have done that a week ago...Anywayz, lol does not cover this video. I did not stop laughing throughout the entire video. I had tears running down my face. I hope this forum hears from you again.

Forgive me for replying to this again. I was the one who went off topic here. I'm still getting over my two bad orders I received in ONE WEEK! I guess that's what suppliers do, print from the machine. I haven't mailed eliquid, however I remember having sent other types of liquid through the mail. Call me a sociopath, but I just say no. And I have no problem with it.

Hi snubber, I heard we're in for a heck of an allergy season this year in the northern part of the country. Don't know if that will affect you where you live. I do not suffer from allergies, but when the pollen is blowing, it does aggravate my throat, nose and eyes. I have not coughed vaping anything like when I smoked analogs, but I do cough every now and then, especially when my throat is dry. I have since acknowledged that I did a fair amount of damage to the tissue in my throat when I smoked. Like I cannot eat really spicy food any longer without a profuse coughing fit. That's just my own experience. Of course you're going to hear someone suggest a visit to a doctor and perhaps have an x-ray taken. The best to you.

Hi, the posts on this thread are right on target. All I can add is enjoy vaping with your eGo!

Hi, the more experienced will chime in here with suggestions, and there are videos on cleaning attys. I started cleaning attys only after they got pretty gunked-up although still producing good vapor. All I do is run them under a hot faucet and then drop them in a pan of boiling water for a couple of minutes. Now I try to clean them every couple of weeks. Good luck!

This is a good question. It made me think of what do suppliers do when they ship e-liquid to us? Sorry I don't have the correct answer. I related to your failed purchase. I've had two in one week. I think I recall you saying one of yours tasted like a used bandaid?

Uma, thanks for this post! I ordered RY4 from a second place this week, and it tasted like a balogna sandwich. So, that was two orders in one week. I wish I could have been around in January for Janty's RY4. The RY4 I ordered in July when I purchased my eGo from them was pretty delicious. I have since read the formula was changed around the middle of May. Too bad, don't know why such a popular e-liquid had to be altered. I've tried quite a few flavors in the past almost three months and that one seems to click for me. I tried a third time this week and received a bottle of Dekang RY4 from Route66. Dulcis and Sweet Dawn should arrive tomorrow, and I've ordered a bigger bottle of Dekang RY4 from Health Cabin. I have tried a sampler RY4 from Awesome and I may order from them again. Anywayz, I just wanted to say that I appreciated your empathy!!!

Hi, quite a range here from the beginners to the veterans. I started out with the Joye 510 which I still use and graded up to an eGO. Those are the two pvs I have currently. I love both, but especially the eGo for the longer battery life. I am beginning to get every so slightly curious about variable voltage units, but I think I still have a ways to travel. I continue to read and learn on the forum.

Hi, Welcome to the VT forum! I love my eGo too! What fun blowing huge balloons of vapor everywhere! I love all the suggestions for carrying an eGo. Currently I'm using a cute little oblong see-though makeup bag with round ends. Good luck on your vaping journey!

LMAO!!! This is just too funny!

Hi, such an interesting thread here. I want to say I could get run over by a bus tomorrow...I think if I listened to everyone I've ever met and believed everything I've ever read, I'd be dead. I recall reading the nic poisoning thing here when I first joined...somewhere. People sometimes do dumb things, people also have sensitivities to things that others don't. I don't know... The best advice imo (and that's what this is, my opinion) is what has already been said, do the research and listen to your body. Vaping is far better than continuing to smoke analogs. That is hard to dispute! Good luck!

Hi Julie, I started out with the Joye 510 and then purchased an eGo. I love the eGo and its longer battery life, but for me, it took some getting use in terms of it's size, weight and shape in the beginning. My eGo from Janty USA came with a round tip. I now use it with a flat tip as I prefer a flat or whistle tip when I inhale. I can only speak for myself, but I'm glad I started out with a stick mod that resembled an analog. It made the transition from analogs easier. I've not smoked an analog since I started vaping on 6/4. When I'm at home or close to home, popping a 510 battery into a charger either at my computer or on the wall is really no big deal. They charge up in less than two hours. Cartomizers which hold more e-juice are very useful when you'll be away longer and can't direct dip or use a regular cartridge with filler (which some of us newer people still do). If you can't be near an electrical source it will be prudent to have some extra charged batteries with you, and having an extra one for the eGo as well. Vaping is a different phenomenon, and a more involved process, and it's only beginning to become part of our culture. I think once you use an eGo, you might wonder how you ever went without it, but still, imo, I'm happy I started where I did. This is just one woman's experience, but I thought I'd share it. Good luck on the journey, and have fun with it!

This is quite a story about you helping your parents. I for one will want to know how it all works out. Thanks for your post.

Thanks, you are the best! I feel like I flushed a twenty down the toilet this afternoon but, live, vape and learn. At least I have some suggestions on where to proceed from here

Thank you! I believe I do have an account with the store as I ordered a couple of things when I first joined the forum. I'll check it out. I've been waiting for the atty 3-pack to show up again so that I could make a bigger order, and I've wanted to try VT e-liquid. The reviews seem to be on the merit of the e-juice itself, but all-in-all I would prefer to support the Vapor Talk Store. You guys have certainly been there for me! Thanks again!

Hi, I'm gagging on some RY-4 18mg 80/20 I ordered that arrived yesterday. I'm still building a preferred stash. I know there is a lot of subjectivity to personal taste, but what I ordered is really nasty (and interestingly enough, the supplier is not on the recommended list here...). I don't want to email and let this supplier know. It will be enough that I don't order from them again. I ordered something else as well from them, and that is kind of nasty too. Also, realizing that other vapers have their preferences, I had been vaping an RY-4 18mg from Janty. I guess that is a Dekang liquid which I understand the formula has since changed (?). I love the taste of it, and they are currently out. So anyway, the reason for posting is I would love to get some suggestions for a good RY-4 18mg. I ordered another RY-4 this morning from somewhere else, and I'm hoping it is better. I am waiting for Dulcis to come in to the store. Oh wait, it IS here. Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the world of vaping, and the VT forum! I started out with a Joye 510 and then graded up to an eGo. It really does depend on what your needs are. With the 510 the battery life is about 2 hours and then the battery will have to charge for about that long as well. You will not be able to use a 510 charger on an eGo and vice versa. I started out with 24mg and now use 18mg after two and-a-half months. Keep reading and keep asking! Gluck!

Hi Welcome to the VT forum! Have you been vaping with a 510 or similiar pv? I started out with a 510 and moved up to an eGo. It is an awesome unit. I suggest reading up on pv's either on the forum or the internet. Others have mentioned trusted e-liquid suppliers, and I agree that taste is subjective. It will be some trial and error. I think the one thing you'll want to know about e-juice is, don't run out of it!!! Have fun, good luck!

Hi, thanks! I primarily use RY4 18 PG, along with other various flavors from a sampler. I've just ordered an RY4 80/20 mix. Another shout out to benjamin, I've had huge success in cleaning attys that were still producing lots of vapor and the taste improved. I ran them under a hot water faucet and then boiled them for a couple of minutes. They sat overnight. I'm not sure why I ignored the cleaning aspect for such a long time, but better late than never I guess. I did the same thing with three cartos I had been using. I'm almost certain that even though two of them (one passed away) were still popping and creating vapor, the filler is in fact burnt. I'll start a new one tomorrow and see what happens. I notice when I either dd or use a filled cart that is not lined up and that plastic starts to buckle and melt that will irritate my throat as well, and of course taste really crappy. Even though I coughed sporadically the first couple of days I started vaping using 24 VG, I haven't coughed hardly at all since then. I did smoke analogs for a looong time. benjamin, hope your tv arrived

Hi, There's been a lot of cartomizer love posted in the last couple of days, but I'm wondering if anyone else's throat becomes sore from using a carto for a good part of a day? My throat does not get sore from dd or vaping from a filled cart. Right now I use a straight PG 18mg, and have had no ill effects. Could it be that plastic inside that's combusting (I know that's not a real word) from the heat? I've read about only filling a carto a couple of times and tossing them, but then there's the video from Doc Vapor who says he uses them forever. Would appreciate feedback.
