I think the vtr can display the ohms without fireing. I'd suggest you check the manual that came with it though to be sure. I'd also say that if you aren't sure what your doing, don't! Read, ask, stay safe and enjoy.

Just ordered an evod 1100 with evod kit for 13.95 delivered as a back up. Spoke with them twice, answered both times. They do have the kpt 2 minis back in stock now, but the cost went up 2 bucks. The site shows 2 diff prices for the kit with mini kpt2 but they're updateing that soon. I called to let him know about it as a heads up, and next thing I knew he offers to throw in something extra on my order. I'll update again once I get my order, but seems like a good place so far.

With the higher ohm coil you may need to turn it up a lil bit more. Could also be that you were getting a harsh taste from the old one and that's gone now that you replaced it.
