Welcome to VT! Hello from the SE MI area. Congrats on makeing the switch. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, a ton of good info and ppl here to help.

From typical ego/or entry level devices to mech mod/rdas in 30-60 days. I don't dought your ability to use mechs at all. I meant that it can be a challenge to go from analogs to rda's in a short time without some hiccups. Nic levels for one, flavors may not be the same/good. Just don't stop trying!
-
I haven't taken the same path as you, but I get the fact that an rda or even kayfun will cause the nic levels to need adjustment. In 2 mo's ish youv'e made a ton of adjustments already. Nothing wrong with it. However, the faster you move up can also meen you skip a step or 2 without realizing it. At the end of the day what keeps you off analogs is whats right for you.

Glad you figured it out! I'd have to say in general you should treat it much like you would on the device you are useing it on. Some have floating pins, but rule of thumb is snug....

Would you try Vaping if you Never tried a Cigarette?
fishguy1123 replied to TheRealKaty's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Given the fact that when I started on analogs no e-cigs were around it's hard to say..... I think any young person/adult has to decide what they want to get involved with themselves. As an individual you make your choices for your own reasons. Many (or most) of us vapors are former smokers and are looking for something less harmfull. I don't think young ppl see it the same as a 5-10-20+ yr analog user would. I made a poor choice, I admit it.... Do I have the right to condem another young person makeing a poor choice? No, but if I could help them avoid it I would. At the end of the day it's an individual thing..... -
Any Michigan members going to this? October 3rd and 4th at the Clarion hotel in Ann Arbor. I live close so I plan on going. Hope to see any locals there!

Did the OP get this issue figured out?

Kayfun 3.1 needlefill broke off inside
fishguy1123 replied to regal's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
On a KF 3.1 the fill port is a ball bearing of some sort. The idea is you press it in with your filling device and it springs back when you pull the device out to seal the port. I hope you can get it out, that would suck! -
Damn..... You need to be banned! The rest of us just can't keep up with that level of freedom!!!!!!!! And I'm single!
-
Is it a clone? If so, what brand? What device are you useing it on?
-
LMAO.... You didn't go down the rabbit hole, you full on drilled one out for yourself!!!! Hi honey, how was your trip? Me, I just got a cpl odds and ends.....
-
From what I read, I don't think he had an issue with vv or vw outputs, I think it boils down to the fact that the device wouldn't fire a 1.0 Ohm coil. He was forced to use a coil that was on it's last leg and getting a burnt flavor the whole time. Hopefuly with new, apropriate coils it will resolve itself. Vapor, you are correct though. VW= set and enjoy pretty much. VV=adjust to taste between tanks. Both may need adjustment with different e liquids.

You want your unicorn! lol Good luck on your search, but that's half the fun sometimes.
-
You will likely still want to get a lower nic level in your juice. More vapor production offers more nic per pull.....
-
Do you use any apps or web calcs? Android vapors tool box or steam-engine.org are pretty good. Steam engine has more options. Giveit a try for a good starting point.
-
Don't have one, but you can search youtube for a vid I'm sure.
-
Iv'e seen vids that show removeing them to get to 18350 mode, but not putting both on the bottom. What was your reason for that configuration?
-
My biggest issue when I started was only likeing certain flavors at different times. I liked some flavors with coffee and others in the afternoon. When I have a beer I found a flavor that claims to be a tobbaco, but I just think it's a clean, non overpowering juice that can give me the throat hit I need. It didn't get in the way or seem odd with beer. I will say, now I can use others, but still buy that flavor and use it often while enjoying a beverage or so.... lol I got lucky to find it right away but that's what worked for me. Good luck!

Really? Ok, my master plan must have been distract him enough to send me a free mod just to leave him alone! OR, I have no freakin clue what happened..... lol Take your pick. Proetus, PM me for my address.

^^^^This, sometimes just cause you can doesn't meen you should. Best to try to stay in line with what the device is speced for IMO.
-
Umm.... You mentioned haveing a stingray clone as well. Am I missing something? Have you tried any other tanks or RDA's on the mod since you noticed the problem?
-
Ok, a hot switch usually means a short of some sort. Could be in the coil/atty or in the mod itself. How long have you had mods, and have you cleaned the switch and contacts? Is the contact pin in the switch tight? I wouldn't recomend buying another mod just yet. Best to be able to trouble shoot what you have now so you know how to spot things like this in the future. Were the screws tight on the build deck? You mentioned the resistance changed.....
-
Welcome, you will be able to post in other forums after 3 (or 4) posts here. We get a fair share of spammers and this is meant to help with that.
-
Does the switch work smoothly without being on the mod? Or does it work on the mod without the battery inside? Sony VTC4 is a good battery. Check to make sure it hasn't been damaged by any sharp edges. What was the resistance of your coil/coils?
-
For now I have to recomend takeing the battery out and looking at the switch for any defects or loose conections. Don't keep useing it by forceing the button. Check your resitance on the coil and make sure the screws are tight on the build deck. Then get back to us on what you find. Also, what battery are you useing?
