This is such an interesting thread. I'm one of the people who believes the FDA could care less about the health of any American. The FDA is about control and profits. I've had two family members die of lung cancer caused by smoking. I have 3 adult children that became smokers, now 2 are vaping. Of course I'm happy about that. I smoked 2 1/2 packs, or more every day until my oldest son took me to his vape shop about 9 months ago. Neither me nor my son smoke analogs at all now. My husband and other son have not quit analogs entirely but have both cut down significantly. The success rate of vaping is much better than all other method's to quit smoking. Someone said 20% or less but just going by my family members that vape the success rate is 50%. The FDA routinely approves dangerous drugs for release that have horrible known side effects. After watching "Dallas Buyer's Club", a true story, further light was shed on the FDA refusing to approve AIDs drugs that were keeping people alive during the height of that epidemic. Instead, the only drug approved was ATZ, even after it was known to cause many of the diseases that those infected with HIV died of. I believe as an adult what I chose to eat, drink, or smoke is my choice. I don't need an organization dictating to me. Even with the FDA involved, we have recalls on tainted drugs. I am cautious about where I buy ejuice and avoid those made in China. Vaping is the best thing ever invented to get people off of analogs that do cause cancer. Nicotine doesn't cause cancer: it does restrict air flow in the body. I wouldn't advise a non-smoker to take up vaping but for smokers I think vaping is a miracle that must not be taken away from the public. I've already cut my nicotine level in half. My Dr. thinks vaping is great. Big tobacco is already developing e-cigs, I don't know if that's good or bad for the vaping community. It does prove there's big money to be made.

Concerns about gaining weight lowered my drive to try to quit smoking. I never even tried except when I was pregnant. Judging by my clothing feeling loose, I think I lost weight, too.

Signs of Vaping - What Did You See?
LuckiStarre replied to Bebop's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
I live between San Antonio and New Braunfels and we have 3 vape only stores with vaping lounges that let everyone try all their flavors. The store I visit is very busy every time I've been there. My son lives north of Austin in a small town that opened an awesome vape only shop. They custom mixed my first juice and kept adjusting flavor until I was satisfied. At the local Wal-Mart I saw so many people vaping that I know it's caught on there. Several friends and family members began vaping after seeing me vape. It then spreads to their friends, families and coworkers. The quick marts around here carry disposable ecigs. The Blu vanilla actually isn't bad but that En-joy brand is terrible. The disposables cost too much, don't last as long as they advertise. I think vaping is going to grow fast. -
Raspberry poundcake sounds delicious.

Sweet Vapes has the best Snickerdoodle I've tried. I ordered it with 18mg nic, 50/50 blend. Smooth notes of vanilla, cinnamon and cookie in perfect balance upon my first vape. Good vapor production, which is important to me. It's the best new flavor I've tried in months. Sweet Vapes told me they use a high grade nicotine that accounts for the smoothness and why the prices are a bit higher. I'll be reordering this flavor, it's perfect. Also, they have the lowest prices on coils I've come across.

Boba's Bounty doesn't do it for me. I don't hate it but I don't like it enough to ever buy more. It was disappointing not to love this legend, made me feel like an alien.

This Christmas I bought a starter kit for one of my sons, with several flavors and tanks. While he was switching to a new tank to try a different juice he dropped the battery, it landed hard on the bottom and quit working. I've dropped mine countless times without damage. Luckily I'd brought a spare and gave him that. He dips at work, smokes at home so I really want him to vape.

I like a big cloud of vapor or I don't feel like it's a satisfying hit. The flavor has to be there, too.

Welcome. -
Ok, joejoevapekill, I just ordered the banana pudding from ECBlends, plus a few other flavors. The prices are the best I've seen. Thanks to everyone who recommended them. I can't wait to get this order.

Welcome. I've found vendors recommended here with great prices. I'm waiting on an order now,:-)

New member looking to move up from an e cig

The Mini Pro Tank II comes with a couple of coils but they were too low for me. I use the 2.8ohm coils because I like my Spinner turned up. -

I agree with Tameiki, it's a great battery. I use a Mini Pro Tank II with mine. -
My husband bought Halo Longhorn as his first juice and neither of us liked it. Couldn't get the taste out of his clearo. Taste really is subjective.

There's an online poll called top 50 best ejuice flavors for 2013, where the vaping community votes for their favorite juices. I noticed several Copper Creek, Mt Baker Vapor on the list. Boba's Bounty by AVE and OMG by KBV were only two on the list I've vaped. I love OMG!

What's a good nicotine level?
LuckiStarre replied to Crazyavonlady's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
I don't understand why a very popular shop in my area only goes up to 18 mg. They just opened a second store and are always busy. I started out on 30mg, but needed stock for vacation and bought the 18 mg. I actually got used to it. When I came home I ordered a bunch of 24 mg juices which were seeming too strong. So my last order was 18 mg- what a rollercoaster. It's very aggravating to go to this store and all they have left is 12 mg. I won't go that low. I live near a big city but vape shops are very few, just 3 and most people don't know better is my guess. I did need the 30 mg when I began vaping, no doubt. -
Alien Visions has good chocolate mint. I used to mix it with a tobacco blend that my first vape shop custom made for me. They added vanilla and caramel to their version of M Red. I loved it then and it got me off analogs. Kick Bass Vapor makes OMG and it has coffee notes. It's an awesome juice that people rave about with good reason. Since it's thick I began ordering it with 70 PG/30 VG to save coils and still get good vapor. I always add extra flavor.

What does vaping mean to you?
LuckiStarre replied to castorsimon's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
Vaping is an important part of my life and I vape heavily after kicking a 3 pack a day habit. I started smoking at age 12 and it sounds awful but everyone in my family smoked. To me it was normal. In the early 80's people smoked everywhere, while grocery shopping, high schools had smoking areas and they even smoked in my Aunt's Sunday school class! I really thought I'd go to the grave a smoker. Then almost 9 months ago a visiting family member turned me on to vaping. I went to his vape shop and was impressed the minute I walked in by the great vibe. Every employee was vaping, most chain vaped clouds that smelled great. The place was packed and I was amazed at how patiently all my questions were answered as my ejuice was being custom made to my exact request. I'm so glad my starter kit came with Vision Spinners, I got lucky and still prefer them. Analogs have been out of my life completely since I found vaping. I just don't crave them at all now. I discovered by absentmindedly lighting up someone else's cig that they taste just awful now and that's great. I'm saving my health and so much money now. I was spending a luxury car payment each month on analogs. I've also cut my initial nicotine level in half and will go down further if it doesn't mess with me. I can't stress enough how important, how vital vaping is to millions of people. I see young people walking around in public sporting their lanyards and vaping away. I'm glad it's cool to them instead of tobacco: Many people have begun vaping juice without nicotine. I've had loved ones die from lung cancer, the most horrific of deaths. Vaping may save me from that fate and will certainly save people who haven't smoked long. Vaping is also delicious, satisfies my sweet tooth plus I've lost weight. I appreciate everyone whose involved with the ecig industry, it just keeps getting better and better. -
Vspot by Kick Bass Vapor is great.

Most people don't use the right coils. I had the same problem before I learned some tricks. Get at least a 2.8omh coil, Vision Spinner and Protank-II. Clean the part the coil screws into with wiarm water after every refill. Dry. Make sure no juice is on the seals and don't twist together too tight, it mashes the O ring. After filling tank always blow hard through the tip and dab any juice that comes out with paper towel. Blow through the bottom, too. Break in new coils by slowly dialing the spinner up - start at lowest 3.3, vape about 4 hits, dial up a little at a time and vape at each setting. If you like 4.8 get the 3.0 coils. I also take my Protank apart for cleaning under water after changing flavors. My coils last two weeks with dark juice now. I recycle coils by rinsing them in water and dry vaping exactly 2 seconds. The long post can also be taken off to wash the wicks better, pop back on and dry vape carefully.

After all these great reviews, I must not put off ordering from MBV. What are their best dessert and bakery juices? I can't find any great chocolate juice. I adore chocolate, including dark. I've tested many chocolates and wasted money ordering juice that tastes like chocolate liqueur, even after steeping. How's MBV chocolate?
