  1. I think anything that piques your interest towards switching is a good thing. I do agree that your money will be better spent elsewhere. The reason is that you'll probably enjoy vaping, though you may not realize it with one of those sub-par devices and at some point you'll want to upgrade to a solid device such as the eGo. That being said, if you're unsure that you want to make that investment just yet, then by all means purchase the disposable. Be wary of any subscriptions for cartridges, etc. Those are always bogus and have false claims about longevity. Just keep in mind that whatever your experience is with the disposable device .. there is something MUCH better out there. And as always when it comes to vaping, you can tweak your setup and preferences almost endlessly until it's just right for you. I think I speak for most of us here when I say that no matter what device we use and no matter what juice or atty/carto we prefer, we're happy
  2. Yea I don't know how or why I had that notion in my head. You've certainly been around the block a time or two. And noooo I'm not implying you're a digging, gardening tool
  3. I need to meet some rednecks. Or visit Joe
  4. What a great review! Shoot, makes me want to sample one, too
  5. MAP tanks are made from top notch materials. If you want a carto punch you can find them here. Made specifically to precisely punch cartos for tanks. They are a bit pricey, but like the tank it's a one time expense.
  6. Dunno why but I was always under the impression you were in the midwest - ha, learning something new everyday.
  7. $20 is spent on craftsmanship. These are Americans working hard to make a living and in turn pouring that living back into OUR economy. You're buying the tank itself generally with a set of guts. The guts are replaceable - the tank will last you. Meh.
  8. VapeRite for VG, all the way. You get what you pay for.
  9. Ingenuity .. gotta love it. Nice work, Bino. lol @ Joe - heart u
  10. VG = Vegetable Glycerin. Glycerol, Glycerin and Glycerine are the same. I think what varies is what and where the glycerol is derived from and maybe it's level of purity?? It is used in all sorts of products but I'm not sure if there is a purity level that determines food grade vs other grades of VG. Here's the wiki entry for Glycerol .. it might help
  11. What a great story. You went straight for the eGo, huh? It's so awesome that you were brave enough to take that extra plunge. I love my eGos, I reawy reawy do Welcome to VT faifae.
  12. I'd lend you my eGo but I'm quite attached *hint*
  13. My apology for going a bit off topic here but hoping to make a useful suggestion that many people aren't aware of .. Have you contacted some of your billing departments and tried rescheduling your billing dates? Often times they are willing to work with you so that you're not being financially raped at the same time every month. That being said .. I don't use cartos and the highest I vape is 12mg. I sure wish I could be of more help. Hang in there; do what you have to do - better than losing your mind, I say.
  14. Kudos for deciding to make the switch - you've just begun an exciting journey! Let us know what is or isn't working for you and you'll receive plenty of sound advice moving forward. Always keep in mind that if you discover an aspect to vaping that isn't working for you there is always a fix for it. Vaping is much more customizable than traditional tobacco ever was.
  15. The LR atty is also much less work. There's no need to give it a primer puff as it almost instantly heats. The vapor is a bit warmer but thicker, fuller. Yes you will use a little more juice and it will drain your battery faster. These are the two downfalls but they aren't so bad. I think it's safe to say that most of us vape LR attys/cartos. Those who don't are vaping at high voltage. It can't hurt to try it. Remember to KEEP IT WET. It has greatly enhanced the vaping experience for me. Good luck
  16. The majority of us use something other than cartridges. Most of us who direct drip or drip on cartos or use tanks will generally use a drip tip. Cartridges are messier than drip tips and don't wick well either. Drip tips can leak out the top, but rarely happens. Your PV shouldn't be upside down anyway, in the pocket or not. And if you monitor how much you're dripping and vaping you shouldn't have too much trouble with it. Try to keep the open end out of the pocket lint, anyway. I can't imagine that debris tasting good once the atty heats it .. lol.
  17. Remove that baby now and terminate her bullsh*t rights so that the child will [hopefully] never remember her. She deserves a cold, dark cell.
  18. The 510 has been done and is still experiencing success particularly with new vapers. The same is true for the 808. I would not suggest the 4081 for a few reasons. I have no clue what an E9 is. What would be interesting to see is a 2pc 901 kit as the 901 seems to be more focused on flavor and cool vapor production. Would it be possible to remain true to that in carto form?
  19. I try not to clean mine and rarely, if ever, have a need to. When I do I boil the water seperately, never putting the atomizer in the pan. Water takes a while to drain/dry from within the atomizer. The more humid your climate .. the longer it will take. I've heard Everclear works well to breakup gunk and rinse your atties. It's reported to evaporate quickly and is claimed not to leave any residue .. I would look further into this before dunking your atties, but it may be a viable option. If you search YouTube for "Phee303 How to dewick your atomizer" you will find a very helpful video on removing the wick from your atties. The wicking will char/burn and since it's made of some sort of poly fiber this creates a horrible taste that can never be cleaned out. I dewick all of my atties once I test them to be sure they are not DOA. I suggest this to all atty users experiencing a nasty/funky taste. Good luck with your new atties
