  1. Most people prefer the soft tip cartomizers, where the white piece in the top is rubber rather than hard plastic. It's much easier to remove, but not so easy that it falls out or anything. Makes refilling them super easy. As for LR, I'm afraid I can't help you there.
  2. Second this completely. I direct drip mostly, but sometimes I use cartomizers. It depends on my mood and situation.
  3. So do you want something as thin as a cigarette, but isn't actually camouflaged as one? If you're set on a thin, realistic size, then you need a Joye 510, hands down. The only problem there is that the battery life isn't great. Not terrible, but not great. However, you can purchase a charging pack separately. It's basically a cigarette pack that you charge, and if you're out and about, you can put a dead battery into the pack and it will charge it on the go. I would personally suggest the eGo. It's not huge by any means, but it is thicker than any cigarette. Honestly, imagine one of those SUPER nice high quality ink pens; the eGo is comparable to those in both size and style. This one is more powerful and longer lasting than the 510, so if you can deal with the size, I STRONGLY recommend it. As other people are saying, get out of those trials as quickly as possible. I'd bet money that it's a poor product, and they're going to give you a hard time. I just realized that I kind of didn't add anything new to this conversation. Posting anyway!
  4. Every product from every supplier shipping from one location, one order. I like.
  5. They say you go through more, but it's so worth it. When I first started, I had the same problem. It took me a bit to find the delicate balance between dripping enough and flooding it.
  6. You just nailed my number one main concern that I have had this whole time. We can throw around the word "regulation" because it sounds like a good thing, but it's not inherently good or bad. In this case, it is going to be bad. They "regulate" cigarettes and they contain thousands of chemicals that do nothing but bad. They said that they found liquid with components of antifreeze in it; well once they finish with it, it will contain a lot worse.
  7. You pretty much wrote my reply. I kept trying to elaborate, but I almost said something about smoking cessation that is never to be spoken, EVER. Instead, you just get a digital high-five.
  8. Why did I try to read that?! I am not a lawyer! Brief summary, anyone?
  9. I'm not even sure. The date has been thrown around for a while, but I've heard nothing about how it went. I'm sure Chris would update us if anything came out, and I've seen nothing. So I am lost too.
  10. That's so true. Look at how many people electronic cigarettes have killed. I believe the tally is zero. It's not a matter of "We messed up here, messed up there, should have done that," because it is all politics.
  11. In Soviet Russia, electronic cigarette ban YOU! (Sorry Chris, you KNOW I had to!)
  12. It is impossible to have too many spare parts. They'll ALWAYS get used!
  13. Agreed! Unless you're one of the few people who hates cinnamon (See also: communist) it is an absolute must-have. If someone says they can't taste this flavor, they need to seek medical attention. Tasty Vapor liquids tend to change as they age since they are mixed so fresh, and in my experience, it just gets better. It becomes a little more sweet and mellow, but still hot and strong. I just got three bottles of it. Word to the wise: This is the only flavor I have reserved an atomizer for. It is completely necessary.
  14. THE HENDU ELITE! PRETTY! WANT. Too expensive. If anyone wants to check it out: http://www.smokestik.com/
  15. I think so. I have actually heard of people cleaning the filler and putting it back, and even removing the filler and dripping into it like an atomizer. Then again, I just tried to remove the filler from an old one, and I ripped out some important-looking wires and things. So you might want to research it carefully.
  16. Here is my take on it... Regular atomizers are good. Regular cartomizers are 10x stronger and produce much more vapor. Not sure why. Also good. LR atomizers taste like I lit a dead raccoon on fire and inhaled the smoke. I don't hate myself nearly enough to mess with LR again. Not good. Never tried LR cartomizers, because frankly, since the atomizers taste burnt and hideous, I can't imagine that surrounding it with an easily burnt filler is going to help that at all. Never tried it, though. Just my opinions/experiences.
  17. Very strongly recommend Killa Vanilla from Vapor Galaxy. It's amazing. I also love Volcano's vanilla but the highest it goes is 12mg. As far as apple goes, I have only tried E-Liquid Planet's, which is just okay. VT's should be in my mailbox tomorrow!
  18. OH SH-... WHERE DID YOU GET 150 EUROS?! I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH 150 EUROS IS! CAPS LOCK off. My backup plan? A pack of Marlboro Smooth 100s and a Bic. HA, kidding. But no, seriously... But I definitely look forward to hearing about your plan! I'm definitely curious. Sidenote: So we're saying that this is relatively safe as well, because it's pure tobacco without the additives. So is rolling your own cigarettes still a no-go? I'm just asking because it's an obvious option to me, but I assume there is a reason it's bad.
  19. Aren't they one in the same? The only electronic cigarettes I've seen anywhere else are the ones at gas stations, which don't really count. Since they don't actually do much.
  20. Haha, that's cute. If I have to go to work really early and I didn't get enough sleep, I buy a can that is a drug delivery device. Come on, FDA. Give us just one more drug delivery device!
  21. It is exactly what it sounds like. Think of it as a nicotine patch that you wear on your... well, nevermind. It's supposed to eliminate the need to smoke after sex. Which sounds utterly ridiculous to me. Not sure about the tobacco vs. drug thing. On the surface, I'm assuming that they want it to be a tobacco product, because tobacco isn't ACTUALLY regulated. They'll do things like add fire-safe paper, just for show, but they still aren't safe. If we're in the same category as tar and rat poison, then a simple bottle of liquid containing under ten ingredients should be no problem at all. Or maybe it's because "drug delivery device" sounds dirty and evil. Bad connotations. *Shrug* I don't actually know what I'm talking about, so I'd also like to see an explanation from someone who does.
  22. In that case, what I said before times TWO. Reminds me of a thread on ECF. Someone got torn apart because he had a friend who was in chronic pain due to some kind of medical condition. She was about to start smoking to take the edge off and he had the NERVE to get her to vape instead. They crucified him. Because he stopped a potential smoker and got her on a safer alternative instead. I don't know about you guys, but I want to high-five him. If it is keeping her from smoking, great. If it is spicing up your marriage, even better. As for the ritual addiction, there's not much that can be done about that. Just keep trying. As others said, there's not really a "wrong" way to do this. Vaping isn't signing a contract saying that you're not allowed to smoke anymore, although it is demonized in the community. I'll admit, I still smoke on occasion, because I'm no longer addicted to smoking. I can just smoke one and forget about it. Wow, I kind of lost track there. Anyways, yeah. Just keep trying! The point is, you're cutting down. That's better than nothing.
  23. Haha, that's what I'm thinking. The filter takes the fun out of scolding us! I think one of the companies with weird additives was Johnson Creek. I think that's the name? The creeps with a tree logo? Someone sent me a sample of their tobacco flavor. It is now dark, dark, DARK bluish green. Almost BLACK... There is no reason for tobacco liquid to be blackened green. I wouldn't recommend their products. I think the only additive I'd vape is caffeine. Sounds like a cool idea. But as Chris said, you won't find many companies doing this, because the FDA will go after you personally.
  24. Those blood testing supplies contaminated with HIV weren't a risk either. Neither was swine flu.
