kfer008 reacted to Vispera in Help! Want a new MOD, but I'm lost!
If you do a search on the forums you will find a bunch of topics that talk about vv/vw devices and the difference between the two

Yeah. You need to do some homework.
Read the pinned articles thoroughly.
A basic understanding of electronics wouldn't hurt. And I mean basic. Don't freak out.

kfer008 got a reaction from snkbytemike in Dfw vape meet?
So I was thinking if there was enough people here to get together for a vape meet in the dfw area?
Maybe we could even coordinate something with some local shops, for some of us new guys, we could learn from veterans ask questions and make new friends. Also find new place to shop for juices or equipment.

kfer008 reacted to Aquatroy in 50/50 for the win!
50/50 is the ratio PG to VG, most juices are ratio and nic level marked/printed on the label. If yours isn't, you need a new juice vendor....

There are a number of juice vendors that offer the pg/vg ratio you want. Tasty Vapor and Mount Baker Vapor are 2 that quickly come to mind. TV offers custom flavor mixes as well as sweeteners. MBV offers custom mixes, extra flavoring added.

Yeah, every online shop I've purchased from, though they will have a recommended ratio, they do allow you to pick your own ratio. And the brick and mortar stores that mix their own can mix up the ratio you request on site.

There is no such thing as a silly question. There are, however, lots of silly answers.
Yes, steeping means letting it sit. You'll want a dark, cool place for this. I usually take the cap off so it can "breathe" while it's steeping. That's just a personal choice. If you do leave the cap off make sure it's somewhere a child or pet can't get to it. I usually let most of my juices steep for a few days, vape, let it sit a few days more, vape to test the flavor. Some juices/flavors never get better no matter how much time you give them. Others only continue to improve the longer you let it sit. One flavor I have, I make sure to order more about three weeks before I need it. One week for shipping and such and the rest for steeping. YMMV.

Steve, are you sure about that advice? A little premature I think, Kfer still has a lot to learn before they take that step (no offense meant OP) but until he learns ratios and nic % and basic knowledge of ingredients, that's a big step..
Go slow and learn well grasshopper.......

My advice would be to see if you like making your own liquid first.
Start by going to Walmart and pick up a bottle of VG and an eye-dropper (both sold in the pharmacy section). Next, go to the local crafts store, and pick up a couple LorAnn's flavors (found in the bakery section...watermelon and strawberry seem to be the best starter ones).
Hopefully, you have a couple 10ml bottles laying around. Because, when you get home from your shopping trip, find a juice calculator (either online, or find an app), and mix up a couple bottles of 0 nic liquid. Flavor should be 15% of the total mix.
In all honesty, this route is much cheaper and more convenient than going to some online vendor for a custom blend, only to pay close to full market price plus shipping, and waiting a week to see if your blend even tastes ok, or needs adjustment.
If you like DIY, then you can get a good starter kit that contains everything you need to get up and running at One Stop DIY Shop online for around $30 shipped. Add $10 for the nicer kit, and a few more bucks for an extra bottle of PG or VG. At that point, you'll have enough supplies to keep you going for a couple months.

Propylene Glycol & Vegetable Glycerin
Palm Beach Vapors (Main St. in The Colony, TX) is the only place locally I've found 50/50.
Search the forum though too, there are quite a few online vendors that have really good stuff and there's a ton of info and good folks on here to help you out.
A few that are getting really good reviews right now are:
fuzionvapers.com
vapedudes.com
IMedic (look for his thread in the classifieds.

Never a dumb question, just dummies that don't ask questions....lol
Mixing is fun, no you won't double, if you add 8mg to 8mg, but you can even add a zero nic to a high nic to lower nic levels....
Tobacco and caramel, strawberry and banana, fruits and creams, it's all what tastes good to you....
Just mix in small amounts cuz some mixes don't work out, and don't want to waste a bunch of juice
