Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
Havamal replied to blucavvy's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Working on emptying a tank... splurged and bought a bottle of Five Pawns - Absolute Pin. Need to get this stuff in a tank! -
Off topic? Yeash... think of it as a preparation for an intervention! This has been a way to identify those persons that still have synapses in their brains, storing any recollection of Boy George and Culture Club, that need to be extinguished... I thought I had been successful of getting rid of that imagery from my own brain but apparently it is a contagion that lies dormant and is easily reactivated... I just hope that the nightmares of odd looking metro males prancing through a Technicolor burp don't return...

I figured that's who it was... went in there last night. Is it my imagination or is that place always busy? Every time I have gone there it has been packed with people... glad to see their thriving!

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
Havamal replied to blucavvy's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Just placed another order from www.flatlineliquids.com/ (aka Medic)! Got 10ml of the following coming my way soon! Kit's Tiramisu - heard the raves about this one on here so had to try Old Fashioned Root Beer - Not sure how Root Beer would be as a vape... but what the heck! Carmel Vanilla - I've liked other vanilla flavors, so I figured this one sounded good Winter Sweet Spot - Got this one last time... must... have... more! Now the dreaded wait for the vape mail to arrive... -
I tried the blowing technique and your right, it is only a temporary fix (and you waste a lot of juice that way). It seems to me that when you blow through it you are blowing out the build up but also drawing in more through the wicks so it just builds up again quick. The airiness seems to vary... I have 6 T3S's and the draw ranges from extremely airy to (I think Troy was the one who described it this way once..) trying to suck the chrome off a trailer hitch! It also seems to vary depending on the juice as well... The airy ones I just cover the holes like you.

Hmm... I appear to have stuttered and repeated my self at the end there ... I guess it must be time to go home and smooth things out with some whisky!

Welcome Aboard! I've been using the Kanger T3S for a while now and had that problem in the beginning, but learned on here a few things that prevented that from happening and I have not had a problem since. Some of these may seem like common sense, but here you go anyway! Use only genuine Kanger coils - there are a lot of knock offs out there that tend to fail and leak. If your draw is a little too hard it will cause it to flood. I take long, slow, steady draws now. when filling take a q-tip and pull off some of the cotton so that it will fit in the opening in the top and slide into the shaft. When you turn it upside down and unscrew the base to fill, push the q-tip through so that it just sticks out the bottom of the shaft then fill. This prevents any juice from getting in the shaft and cleans up any juice that may be already in the shaft. Once filled push the q-tip through so that you can grab it and pull it out. As I pull it out I slide it up and down a couple of times inside the shaft to make sure I got any juice that might still be in there, then I swipe it across the threads to clean up any juice that might have gotten in them while filling. I try and fill mine when they get between 1/2 and 3/4 empty. when they get bellow 3/4 they seem to lose the required pressure in the tank and it will occasionally cause it to flood or leak. (however this may just be my imagination) I'm still pretty new to vaping so others may have better advice... but at least I tried! I have not used a mini nova so I don't know how they compare, but others here have... I'm sure others will pipe in with more or better advice!! I'm sure others will pipe in with more advice.

Welcome Aboard! You will find a lot of helpful people on here!

It made me suspicious with the white box and no markings, but I did get them from DV and they seem to be working fine thus far!
-
Tam (or anyone) - Question... how do you know if you ended up with knock off coils? the first batch of Kanger coils I ordered came in a black box that said "Kanger"... the next time I ordered they came in a white box with no manufacturer name on them....

What Size And What Mg Do You Vape?
Havamal replied to Christopher's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
I'm using a 12mg right now, but that was not on the poll. I really enjoy vaping and I seem to vape more than I smoked analogs (probably because I can vape in my office at work! ) I had some 18mg but down graded to the 12mg because I vape so much and was getting too much nic in my system!! -
Welcome aboard! As I am sure you noticed this site is full of friendly people who are always happy help in any way possible. Congrats on giving up the analogs!

I picked up a Spinner from DV last week... looks like I got it just in time!
-
I have noticed on several sites the "Out of Stock" on the hardware... seems to mainly be batteries and chargers that I have noticed it on though.

I heard he had a bridge available too if anyone is interested.... I think it was in Brooklyn...

HA!... I can relate to this, for a long time my father refused, no matter how hard I tried, to get a laptop and I was always having to rebuild his computer... (I'm not sure what he was doing to it but components were always frying and he always seemed to get viruses) I got tired of going over to his place and having him hover over me, throwing in his 2 cents, while I was working on it. I solved the problem by getting a second computer so I could just swap his out and work on the one with issues at home. I also set up an external drive to back up anything he was doing so that all I had to do was set up the clean computer and upload everything from the external... after 3 years of this he finally got a laptop... then constantly gave me grief for not setting him up with a laptop in the first place.

I was surprised when I went into one of the local B&M stores in town and they had a petition from an organization fighting to stop the bans (I forget the organization) in order to protect the online sales... this B&M does not even have a website! The owner just feels like the FDA is over reaching and fears that if they are allowed to do this who knows what would be next.
-
Lol... did the same thing when I first started and had a CE5, minus the iPad or Keyboard, instead 2.5ml all over my battery, my hand and my lap. I was in my office so everything smelled like a Mellonball for the rest of the day!
-
There are 2 B&M's in my immediate are and the price difference between the 2 is absurd. One has the equivalent of typical online pricing, plus what it would cost to ship, and about a 3% mark up. This place is always packed. The second one has prices so far out of range I have to wonder how they are staying in business! $45 for a 1300 Spinner, $25 for a large ego case, $35 for a PT2, $18 for a T3S, etc... They sell their juices for about $8-9. I just don't know how they can survive.

Good points... it just creates an underground market.

This new law will apply to e-cig's too! "The legal age for buying tobacco, including cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos will rise to 21, from 18, under a bill adopted by the City Council and which Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has said he would sign. The new minimum age will take effect six months after signing." I feel for those addicted to analogs that are over 18 and under 21... http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/31/nyregion/new-york-approves-law-to-raise-tobacco-purchasing-age-to-21.html?_r=0
