My iClear30 has started to crack today. I can see and feel the line, and its creeping along little by little. I haven't vaped any mint, cinnamon, or citrus juices, only Peach Strawberry and a Jolly Rancher type of juice. I've also never dropped it or knocked it over. It really must depend on the juice. After much searching I have found a supplier of replacement tanks...... in China, lol. They are only $0.69, so I am going to order like 10. It may take awhile to receive them, but thankfully I have 3 new iClear30's arriving tomorrow. I just wish they could make some threaded pyrex tubes. :/

Yes, that would be Kanthal (type), 28 and 30 gauge wire for coils. BTW.... SCORE!!

At first I tried the tobacco flavored juice, but it kept me going right back to analogs. Once I tried the fruity flavors, I never wanted to taste tobacco again. I had never liked menthol, and never even tried the flavored analogs. I was a bold full flavor type of smoker. So, for me, the authentic tastes of the non tobacco flavors is what really helped me to switch over. Different strokes for different folks, as each persons palettes differ. Great job on kicking the analogs! :applause:

Okay, I found out my problem. It wasn't due to the wicks needing a wash and rinse, but mainly due to the gunky buildup on the coils. I kept wracking my brain, trying to figure out what I could use to clean off the coils with. I ended up putting the iClear30 and other gunked up coils aside, but then last night I was watching a bunch of vape reviews on YouTube and came across an iClear30 review that showed you how to clean them. I ended up smacking my forehead and shouting "DUH!". In the video he does a 'dry burn', heating up the coils to burn out the gunky buildup, and then rinsing the residue. Smh...... I should've known to try that, but instead kept thinking "If only I had a tiny wire brush to clean the coil with.". lol So now my problem is completely solved, and I recommend the 'dry burn' technique if your coils get too gunky and you haven't any ISO laying around, as I don't. Just be careful not to overheat the coils. Blow on them and give them a couple seconds rest between each 'dry burn'. You don't want to end up popping the coil. I know many of the veterans or even rookies probably know this, but it is good info for the novice such as myself. I am moving up the ranks though.

I am looking to purchase my first mod. I've done research and am settling for the eVIC. The price here at VT is unmatched, and with 2 Kanger ProTank 2's, and 5- 2.4ohm replacement coils from another site, I am looking at a grand total of $127.27 out the door with shipping included. My local B&M said the best they can do is $109.99 with a generic tank, but that doesn't come with a free bottle of e-juice. If I wanted to have a ProTank 2 added, it would be $29.99 extra, so I am looking at really decent savings. I wish payday would come sooner.... lol. That will bring me to a total of about $330 I will have spent so far, but the savings in the long run will far outweigh the initial investment. That $300 also includes the 6 bottles of e-juice from VapeDudes, and 3 iClear30's with 10 replacement wicks. Not too shabby. I don't think I will be needing to purchase anymore hardware, just e-juice to keep me vaping.

I don't put forums in the same category as say Facebook, Twitter, etc. They stand higher up on the chain. lol.

I have spent a little over $200 so far on my starting setup. The X6, iClear30, extra coil/wick, and 6-15ml 18mg e-juices. Almost 2 weeks in, and I have just about made half of it back in savings. I bet the guys down at 7-11 miss my $8 per day American Spirit purchases. Sorry dudes.... mwahahaha.

2 at the max so far. Once I can get more tanks, I will have more options to switch throughout the day. I refill my tank once a day, so that gives me one change of flavor. I can already see that I will be investing much more into this habit/hobby.

Hello, I am running into a problem with uploading pictures to my member gallery. I have been able to upload 3 pictures so far, but now it gives me an error message : "Error You have run out of space for uploads". Yet, it says I have 600 kb used, and an unlimited amount of storage space. I am utilizing the basic uploader, as I dont think I have Flash 9 installed for the advanced uploader. Has anyone else experienced this, and/or do you know what could be the problem, and how it would be resolved? Thank you in advance. - 3Rutez

Not just yet, but I can see myself investing more time and money in the near future. It's a healthy alternative, and is an interesting new world, with lots of people to share the interest with. Some collect stamps, some collect bottle caps and coins. Why not vape supplies as well?

Good news. It works like new. I'm attributing the problem to an e-juice I had purchased, Grape by Vivid Vapor. I noticed the same disgusting burnt taste when I filled my ProTank with it, but after changing it out, the taste went away. I believe it was due to the amount of juice the 16 wick soaks up. Once again, thank you all for your input and expertise on this subject. This vapor community rocks.

I have read some reviews on the iClear coils/wicks, and some say they only last a few days. I'm not sure, but I just washed my 16 wick, and am letting it dry. We will see if it still produces the same burnt taste/smell. Unfortunately, I don't have any ISO at the moment, so I only did a mild soap soak and thorough rinse.
