  1. Steam Monkey is reputable in the vaping community. They are based in Texas, and have the Kick 2 for $45 dollars. They usually don't get much lower than that price. http://www.steammonkey.com/The_Kick2_by_Evolv_p/kick2.htm
  2. Pull apart a cotton ball. Using a thin piece, roll it in between your fingers (slightly wetting your fingers may help in the rolling process) until it is at your desired thickness depending on coil diameter. If coil is vertical, leave the top section thicker, so it doesn't slip through the coil and into the tank. You can make it long to reach the bottom of the tank, ensuring you get all the juice in your tank, or you can let it hang 1/8 of the way to utilize the auto-drip method. If you choose to auto-drip, only fill the tank up half way, so you can tilt to saturate the wick and vape away. Some boil the cotton and let air dry for 24 hours, as bright cotton balls are treated with H2O2 to whiten. If you are unsure then you can purchase organic cotton instead. It isn't treated and is more yellow in color. I don't boil mine. All cotton will give off an odd wet rag taste for the first few vapes. I always saturate and burn it a few times to get rid of the cotton taste. After that, the flavor is amazing.
  3. My RSST only came with 2 spare O-rings, replacement spring and washer, and 2 spare fill hole plugs. No Kanthal or wick. Might I suggest to give cotton a whirl. I spent $3 at CVS on some Sterile Cotton Balls (First-Aid), and have a lifetime supply of wicks. The RSST is a nice RBA. I ordered an extra tank, even though I don't really vape much juice with high PH levels.
  4. The Kick 2 specifications..... Output Power- 5 Watts to 15 Watts Output Voltage- 2 Volts to 6.3 Volts Output Current- 6 Amps Atty Resistance- 0.5 Ohms to 3.3 Ohms Low Battery cutoff- 2.7v loaded Synchronous rectified for maximum battery life (very efficient) Step-up/Step-down capable (RBA/RDA low Ohm friendly)
  5. Thank you Rixter. I was thinking half, but you cleared that up real good for me.
  6. A twisted coil is the equivalent to a dual coil, it halves the ohms. You would need at least a 10-12 wrap micro to be at or above 1ohm.
  7. It creates way more vapor. This thing hits harder than any other type of coil I have ever tried.
  8. 28g Kanthal. Twisted with 8 wraps around a 5/64" drill bit, came out to .8ohm.
  9. That's what I thought, although I have heard of some being able to fire .8 and .9ohm coils with their MVP's.
  10. Will the MVP even fire sub-ohm coils? I know my eVic doesn't.
  11. Nice work fixing your issue. Micro coils are where it's at. You haven't seen nothing yet.
  12. Nice bro. Is it a clone? Please tell me you didn't order that ring from FastTech. Congrats, and many blessings.
  13. Ew, yuck. The shop I go to has buckets full of disposable tips in plastic packaging, so they are always sanitary and fresh. I bring in my eVic at times, as they have really cruddy 'twist' batteries for testing juice. Still though, those disposable cartridges they use for juice just never taste right.
  14. I have to bring in my RDA to test juices at the shop. Trying them out of their test tanks, I always get a nasty burnt wick and coil taste. Those things are garbage. I keep telling them, but they refuse to listen. Cheap cheap cheap. I always end up rebuilding my Pro Tank heads. By the second vape, I almost always get a dry hit. No bueno.
  15. Even tighter twist, setup on my RSST. I'm never looking back. AMAZING! I tell no lies. lol.
  16. I've heard you can, but never tried. I just ended up trading my iClear30's for juice. Not a fan of the top wick systems, unless it's an RBA genny set up for auto-drip.
  17. I actually just used the stove to heat the coil. I still haven't picked up another torch.
  18. Im sure you could, but I haven't tried. I've seen some crazy builds, from dual to quad nano coils, "trident" coils (3 coils with one wire), built into KPT2 heads. I would't risk that sort of crazy thing in one myself. lol. I prefer to keep my experiments for only the RDA, RBA, and RTAs.
  19. Twisted Micro Coil, 28g, 9 wraps, .8ohm I used a paper clip inserted into a drill to give it a fine twist and held the end with pliers, keeping tension on the wires. Twisted 28g Wrapped around a 5/64 drill bit 9 times Gave it a good torching for 20 seconds while pinched with tweezers, and put it in the IGO-W to test it out. HOLY ****! That is all I have to say. This coil vapes like a beast.
  20. They are announcing more vendors who are getting on board daily on their FB page. We will just have to wait until November to see how other people rate it. I hope it is legit.
  21. Zamplebox is a new company that will be opening for business in November. You pay a monthly fee, and they send you a box filled with various juices from vendors and even mods, accessories, and coupons. http://www.zamplebox.com What do you guys think about this? It's a neat idea.
  22. Yes, in many devices you cannot use a Kick with an 18650 battery. ESD protection prevents shorts. "ESD can cause outright device failures, or less obvious forms of degradation that may affect the long term reliability and performance of electronic devices. The degradation in some devices may not become evident until well into their service life." - taken from Wikipedia
  23. I have never had that happen to me, thankfully. I have however unscrewed the bottom portion and had the head unscrew with it, leaving it still in the chamber. That always irks me, lol.
  24. That is why they put the knurling on the bottom ring of the tank (diamond cut criss-crossing). Always grasp the knurling.
