I highly suggest downloading the 'Vapor's Toolbox' if you own an Android device. It will give you a general idea before you build your coil.

The higher the gauge, the higher the resistance. The lower the gauge, the lower the resistance. With 28g, 12 wraps around a 5/64" drill bit gives you 1.8ohm. With 32g, you would do 4 wraps around the same 5/64" drill bit to achieve 1.8ohm. What are you using to wrap the coil around?

Yeah, I need to try that out. Here is a link to a how-to video on coiling using a drill. It is intended for beading, but is a universal method.

That's a great idea. I hadn't thought of that.

Be sure to only do small batches at a time. Makes it easier to dry, so you don't invite molds/mildew. A screen or wire strainer works well to allow airflow around the cotton for quicker and thorough drying.

It all depends on your preference. I prefer the IGO-W RDA for my dripping needs, but I'm not a big dripper. I have mainly been using the RSST since I got it. Haven't touched the KPT2, and don't think I will unless I need to pocket my mod, but then I'll just have it on my eVic. Plus I like the solid look, rather than the taper with cartos and the shield.

You need to burn out that initial taste. After a few vapes, it goes away. Cotton tastes like a wet rag before it is primed, and then the flavor is awesome.

Yup. If you have problems with flooding, try and mess around with the flavor wick (the piece you place on top of coil). Some have found that without a flavor wick, you get more flooding.

Yes. A lot of people use 3/32 instead. I find the bigger diameter allows for better wicking is all. With the nano coils, which are usually wrapped with 20g syringe or safety pin/paper clip, you won't get proper wicking with a top coil setup. It will burn the juice faster than it can reach the coil.

I keep the fill hole unplugged. Really helps with the wicking.

Oh yeah, defiinitely drill out the air hole. I drilled mine out to 1/8". The stock air hole felt like I was trying to suck a golf ball through a coffee straw.

Mine came with the shield, which I will never use, but no cartomizer. Clone of a clone eh? lol, crazy. I've heard about those, and they haven't been good unfortunately. I guess people have had issues with the firing button, or so I've heard. It is just a standard 35mm cartomizer. If you have a blue K100, you can have my shield.

Yeah, the lighters don't burn hot enough. You get that soot. It is trial and error with the wick. You gotta find the perfect median, or else you get flooding or no air flow.
