subnuclear got a reaction from jonnoh in Altitude makes a difference
Have you noticed that all your tanks leak when on an airplane? LOL i took 3 devices last time i flew. ALL 3 leaked out their fluid while in air. I purposely changed the coils in my turbo to make sure they were good. The clearomizers leaked too. It was frustrating.

something i've learned with my tanks. IF you let them come to about 1/3 or less full they will flood. If you are able to keep them above the half marker it will help. Mine don't flood anymore. On a side note i'e noticed the BVC nautilus will flood slightly if your not powered enough for the tank. anything less than 12 watts and mine will start to flood. Vaping at 12W plus with at least half full tank and mine all stopped flooding

subnuclear got a reaction from christov11 in NOOOO!
i vape everywhere. I have yet to have a restaurant tell me to not do it. on a side note i am very less obvious about it in restaurants. no big clouds or anything but i leave my rig on the table for all to see, and often get asked about it by waitresses

Ok. I got this bad boy off ebay at 78 dollars. I ordered 3x MNKE 26650 batteries with it. so total cost was better than these added up. it came in with 3 batteries at 109.00 USD
This is the laser etching. Plain functional looks nice but not great.
Here it is with the orange battery installed. It's venting is used via open ports to battery compartment. You will not want to drop this in water lol.
I have the Joyetech Delta attached and you may be able to see i am running at 21.4 watts.
This is only a wattage variable device .it wil detect your coil. (mine is detected at 1.5 ohms on my evic supreme it's detected at 1.4ohms)
IT fires fast and has a gravity sensor for making adjustments.
Now my opinions on this device. Man oh man is it big and heavy. Stainless steel beast i tell you. It makes my evic supreme feel like the original evic almost lol. If you look at the picture you will see that the joytech is much thinner than the 7-30. The joytech is the exact same diameter as my evic supreme which seems like a big rig so that will tell you how big this is. I LOVE IT. lol fires fast with a big battery that i'm hoping will last most of a day (my evic supreme lasts about 4 or 5 hours) This bad boy puts out plenty of power for my joyetech delta tank and coil (BTVC). the new tanks i am buying require greater than 11W ability so i have settled on the 30w for now so i can power my joyetech delta. I won't be able to put it on any of my 11 or 15w devices.
Now the CON to this device (this may be a pro for some of you) the bottom screw on cap for the battery compartment is in two parts. This allows for adjusting the very bottom flat portion in an out for posted and non posted batteries. I use non posted so with the cap screwed in so the device will work the bottom portion is not flush. I don't like this but if you use a posted battery you will probably like it.
Another con is that the operators manual is horrible and might as well not even be there.
When i first got it, it was factory wrapped and had a huge scratch on the screen. This upset me a lot until i thought about the big bang theory episode where they made a big deal about taking the plastic off their new iphone. Sure enough it had a plastic coating on the screen. took it off no scratches .
I have a couple DNA30's ordered and when they arrive i'll use em and tell you which i prefer between the DNA 30 and this.
TLDR: BIG and Beautiful, I LOVE IT.

subnuclear got a reaction from jasonculp in Has anyone seen this replacement Nautilus Tank?
i've never had a problem with fasttech i have ordered over 1000 dollars worth of stuff from them (probalby more). the only thing was i had hong kong post refuse one of my battery shipments. it went back to fast tech and they refunded my money.
quality wise i have run the gambit from getting authentic really cheap to wasting money on some cool stuff i thought i would try.

subnuclear got a reaction from Tam in Angry about Analog
I got caught out in the Moscow Airport this week with all my Evics dead, my VV's dead and 2 charged low MAH ego-c's with 2 full CE5's. luckily they lasted the trip back to Houston and through customs so i could start using a charging evic supreme in my truck on the way home. that is the worst off i have been since i started vaping lol..i thought for sure it wasn't going to last through the flight home.

subnuclear got a reaction from Uma in Just a thought on the whole FDA possibility thing
They only extract nicotine from tobacco plants because it's higher concentrations. Nicotine is found in many other plants too.

So basically saying nicotine is a tobacco product is not entirely correct. It's just our cheapest and most abundant source.

subnuclear got a reaction from Havamal in It's a good thing the media didn't hear about this
It's funny you mention leaving the analogs out. My parents were both smokers and from the age of 5 i was stealing their analogs and sneaking off for cigs with friends. at age 6 i bought my first can of Hawkens tobacco. It was very common for children to have access to the analog stuff back in the day.
If there were children around my house i would definately keep the stuff out of reach it's just too dangerous and they don't understand those dangers. When the kiddo's come over for holidays etc i lock up my cabinets (nicotine and gun) and then lock the room they are in.
The kids getting ahold of something like that can destroy many many lives.
Being an adult means accepting responsibility for the things in your house.
Therefore LOCK it up and hide the key!

subnuclear got a reaction from Tam in The down side of properly steeped juice...
I have found that i prefer all of my liquids steeped if i have the time. I keep them all in my desk cabinet. The first week or two i leave the lid off and shake them daily (with lid on of course). I have a sign off posted on my cabinet to make sure i don't miss a day of shaking.
95% of my liquids i find terrible when i receive them but quite good after a minimum of 4 or 5 days of steeping.
I have come across the rare few that were pretty awesome straight out of the mail box.

subnuclear got a reaction from Lyrical in "..Exploding E-cigarette Ignites Car Seat.."
USB uses 5v however they are capable of higher current than the usb port from your computer. If you notice the chargers you buy have different amperage ratings. tablet chargers are normally around 2A. Phone chargers around 1 Amp. The computer is normally limited to around 500mA.
The heat is from I2R losses basically it's from resistance to current flow. When current flows it generates heat and that heat can cause the battery to explode. Most batteries have shut offs for overcurrent.
so if your not using a charger with overcurrent protection (the joytechs have it) then your asking for this to happen. Rapid charging can cause gassing.
Charging a battery past it's capacity can cause damage also.
This is not limited to e cigg batteries. It's true of all batteries including cell phone and tablet batteries. There was a big ta do about the iphone batteries doing something similar a few years ago or maybe it was android i can't quite remember.
