  1. Oh for an intriniscally safe PV! Note: you can not vape on the rig floor or outdoors on a rig! wish it wasn't so but it is. Restaurants i've never had a problem, i never ask but i also gut the vape so i don't blow out a huge cloud and freak everyone out. at the office is much harder! if anyone is around i gut it till vapor goes away because it's just not worth the hassle! when i'm solo at work i vape away happily. Hotels! i always get a non smoking room (can you believe how badly smoking rooms stink? remember when we used to choose only hotels that had smoking rooms and wanted to cry when all those rooms were booked weeks in advance?). The rule i always follow is if someone is going to freak out and misunderstand the vape cloud i hide it. i never ask pemission because i know that people will not know after the fact if i don't inform them. I have to say i still prefer to be at home while vaping so i can take full hits without worrying about the vapor cloud of joy.
  2. Just got back from a month working offshore. The vape dudes coffee flavors are ok but the chocolate seems to overwhelm the coffee. Will not be my main vape i do not think. the apple pie i got from them (was the special of the month) is outstanding though!!
  3. Ok on your reccomendation i got all of those and am trying their apple pie that is on special too..lol i'm a sucker for trying new juices.
  4. on a side note does the top of my office desk count as a cool dry place? LOL. Frequently i keep a lot of my travel juice bottles in a ziplock baggie stuffed into my back pack. Having to go offshore for work i get a lot of wastage in hardware and juice (thus i buy low end hardware) I also have evic which is super awesome in my opinion but i leave that at home when traveling.
  5. Seems that coffe and caramel bases are my favorite. Locally i buy a lot of caramel cappuchino and vanilla bean candy...and every time i mix the two together while i love it for a day my ce4 deteriorates quickly from that point and i throw it away after a day or two. same thing happens when i mix my kahlua and orange cream or add in pipe tobacco flavor to one and any of the afore mentioned for a little something different. I do use low end gear and am happy if i get a week out of a ce4. I just find it strange i can get that super ce4 and 3 weeks in i decide to do a little mixing of juices and 24 hours later my ce4 is dead and needing to be changed. I currently buy all my juice from the same local but am heading out in 30 minutes to try out a place called springvapor that a lot of my co workers seem to think has the best local juice.
  6. I buy my hardware wholesale from china because i destroy so much of it while working. I recently bought a lot of 5 evics from china they came factory sealed. I checked the security number for the two i opened so far and they checked out as legitimate joytech. I buy my ce4's in bulk wholesale from china and while my first two lots were knockoffs and not the best quality they were darn near as good as the ones quality wise and 100x better flavor wise than what i bought at local shop. i have a shipment of 500 coming in this week to test a new seller out. So basically what i can't find for less than 5 bucks locally i get for 1.20 from china with free shipping and less than a week delivery time. I can't imagine buying hardware local anymore and paying a 100 to 500 percent markup. Liquid i buy from a local shop. I figure that is how i will help the economy. i don't know if they use chinese bases or american made bases. Don't really care because even if it has a few ppm of lead in it it's no where near enough to hurt me and is way better than analog. If you want to know what wholesaler i buy from in china u can PM me and i'll tell you. They have not cheated me yet and don't release payment to the retailer until you get and approve your shipment. Makes refunds significantly easier. That being said understand i don't sell equipment nor am i a retailer or anything. I just go through a lot of hardware.
  7. I was a 2+ pack a day smoker. I run 28mg liquid and go through about 10ish ml/week. Sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. If i find myself vaping too much i start getting jittery! that being said i'm going on a juice run today and after 6 mos have decided i'm going to drop into the 18mg range on nicotine to see if i can ditch the jitters and vape more. On a side note i'm guessing on my usage somewhat cause i always keep 3 to 5 rigs setup so i can grab the flavor of the second and hit it. Plus because i use cheap ce4's it keeps me from burning them from overuse.
  8. I understand your pain. I used to go to a local shop that i thought was making their own mixes etc and found out recently that theirs is not make your own and quite pricey. I am headed out to another local shop that i hear only good things about ! i hope he's good cause it's a 40 minute drive to get there. I am the type that has no problem getting the bad apples to find a liquid i love. Even stocking up on supplies and paying for the supplies for 6 (yes count them 6) people who i've convinced to swap over to vaping and they can't afford their own stuff (is it any wonder i buy in bulk from china?) i have saved money over smoking. But i'm lucky enough that for me it was never about the money but health of my body (and come to find out nose...man smokers STINK! no wonder i'm single (ya that's my story and i'm sticking to it!)). I feel so much better since i started vaping and enjoy it so much more than smoking. Like you i'm a liquid n00b though. I can't go DIY because honestly i work too much. I just don't have the time to play with learning my own liquids.
  9. She is so right about a spare battery and charger! I lost my charger (in the parking lot fell out of my car) one day and freaked out! I had 6 chargers federal expressed to my hotel ( i was in backwoods Louisiana and didn't know if a vape store was close) Got back to the work site next day found my charger in the parking lot. Dried it out (did i mention it is wet in Louisiana?) and it worked thank goodness. Because of the anxiety of that moment when i got home i bought 1000 dollars worth of backup supplies from china so that i always have multiple spares of things on hand. In 7 months i have destroyed 9 batteries countless burned ce4's from "Playing with voltages" and lost 3 chargers! Now i carry around a "baggy of spares" so i don't have to stress it lol. As far as the flavours? i'm a big fan of buying a lot and trying them out. then coming back to them. I first bougth Mountain Dew flavor and couldn't get past the lemon. Now that it has "steeped" the harsh lemon is gone and it's what im' currently vaping (along with caramel cappuchino, Vanilla Bean, Kahlua, Orange cream). I keep several setups to carry with me when traveling and working but at home i pick a favorite of the day pull out my evic and get the top notch vaping going!
  10. with normal analogs i found this to be true. Sadly in a pinch the other day i smoked a menthol (my PV had dropped into a large puddle and i was stressed form the work i was doing) and the menthol was still quite yummy ( was not a menthol smoker unless sick). The great thing is that no matter how good that menthol was the after effects of the smell made me nautious. Vaping will never be equaled by smoking!
  11. I was having pretty common burnt flavour too with my twists. I figured out that while trying to hit the sweet spot voltage (thus wattage) I was burnning my ce4. Since i got the evic and am able to set the wattage to be the same at all times i am no longer having a problem with burnt tastes. On a side note: I know the ce4 isn't the best atomizer on the market or anything like that but i am an offshore worker and frequently destroy my ecigs while working (i don't take the evic offshore). So when working i take cheap cheap knockoff products with me so when i lose a setup it's only a 7 dollar loss.
  12. When i go into the shop i pretty much buy 10 to 20 differnt flavors. after everything i've done it seems i'm most partial to coffee and caramel paired together with other flavours. I am fond of cinnamon too but i don't use glass tanks so i cannot use the cinnamon flavours.
  13. Hi! I am a new member from Houston and am always in search of a better vape. It's like when you first start driving! that K-car was fine because it got you there a lot faster but you're always after that perfect (for you) vehicle. I smoked for 23+ years and my mother for 50+ we have both moved on to vaping now and couldn't be happier and are getting healthier! My biggest problem is finding a good liquid. I haven't really tried liquid from anywhere but the original place i bought my hardware (i buy direct from china now and in bulk so i can give hardware away and try and get others started vaping!). Liquid though i have not been very adventerous. My taste buds are not what they used to be and because i am a mouth breather with a continously clogged nasal passage i need strong flavors. So with that preamble i have a couple of questions. I don't mind trying new places but as my liquid stores build up here at home from trying a multitude of new flavors from my local shop i seem to have forgotten to ask. How long is the liquid good for? should i throw it out after a certain amount of time? I have noticed that as it ages it thickens up (50/50 mix) and uses up my disposeable ce4's pretty quickly. I however get them so cheap i don't mind if i have to replace them every few days. I have also noticed that anytime i "mix" my flavors it uses up my ce4's usually within a few days. If i only use 1 type of bottle flavor they can last sometimes weeks. Anyone know why this is? I am the type person that likes to get a good deal on things so as a heavy smoker how much of a liquid can i buy at one time? (obviously the more i buy at once the cheaper it is/ml). And a final question. When i look online they give heavy flavor as an option. Should i as one who often has trouble tasting the flavor in my vape go that route? how heavy does that make the flavouring? Ah well thanks for letting me unload some of my questions. I'll peruse the forums to see if any of those answers are self evident but you know how things can be worked to page gazillion. and i've always failed at forum search pages.
