New Kanger Tech Aerotank Turbo
subnuclear replied to Compenstine's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
the battery doesn't know the difference. 2x 1.6ohm dual coils R1*R2/(R1+R2)= Resistance. so the battery will see this as 0.8 ohms. If you are running a 3.2 Volt battery the power output at 3.2 volts would be P=EI I = E/R so I would be 4Amperes. Power would be 4A * 3.2V = 12.8 Watts at 3.2 volts with that setup EDIT: this is assuming the coils are in parallel. If they are in series it would change this equation significantly and probalby not work very well with standard batteries used in e ciggs -
i have 3 of them. all using 50/50. all 3 have flooded with original and replacement coils. one of them i think was due to a juice i bought from a local vendor that blows out the seals on every tank i've put in. at which point i threw the juice away. the others are juices that i've been using a long time and have never had a problem with before. if the tank didn't flood so often i would love this tank. i even ordered bigger mods so i could bust that 11W cap i had with my evic. I've found these start giving super hot vapor at about 12w but that's ok as long as it's a good vape. When not flooding these are pretty good.

just a note about the mega aerotank. I'm having serious flooding issues with mine. Changing the coil stops it but a coil shouldn't start flooding after only a few days of use!

it's all about finding a liquid you really like (for me no tobacco flavors) and a good rig to get your style of vape. I was stuck on a rig the other day and couldn't get to my e cigg so i decided to try an analog after 2 years. it was horrible and made me sick so i can tell you that for me it's an easy choice. the analogs are just horrid now.

i'll give you a quick differential between wattage and volts. Volts is a product of stored energy in the battery. It is varied by adding resistance in series (in line) with your atomizer. The Watt is a measure of power. Power is equal to Voltage multiplied by current (P=EI) . In all situations Power (watts) is what determines how your vape is. Higher voltage = higher power. Higher power means your liquid vaporizes faster and in some cases more fully. so assume you have a 1 Ohm atomizer ( used for simplicity). If you like to vape at 6 watts with a 1 Ohm Atomizer you will need 6watts=1ohm * X, X = 6Watts/1Ohm = 6 V. So with a constant voltage rig that means you will need a resistance tester to measure the Ohms of your atomizers if you want constant vapes across your different atomizers so you can calculate and adjust the voltage for the individual unit. A constant wattage rig measures the resistance of the atomizer and adjusts Voltage output so that your Wattage (power applied to the coil) is always constant even when you change out atomizers or fluids. I have become quite partial to my evic (even though it has major drawbacks) because of it's ability to provide constant wattage across my various fluids and tanks. P=EI (p= power (measured in watts), E=voltage (measured in Volts DC), I= current (measured in Amperes (amps))) Ohms Law I=E/R (Resistance measured in Ohms) -

I am looking to pick one or two of these and the evic supremes up in the Katy, Tx area. anyone know if they are available yet and out here? i've been offshore so dang much lately i don't even know when they came out or are supposed to -
On the upside. i just contracted my first cold since i started vaping. While the initial portions were as bad as they always were (worse in some respects) i'm on day 4 now and the little bit of mucus i'm coughing up is clear as water. It's kind of amazing lol. and the cough is much much much less severe than back when i was a smoker!

I have that problem with paint thinners and accelerants. They will drop me in a matter of seconds. That's why anytime i get even a whiff of wet pain i turn and go the other direction. I'm thinking it's from painting with 2 part epoxy pain in the mililtary and not wearing my respirator because i was in a tight space. I then spilled the entire tray of paint on myself drenching me in it while i as trapped in a confined space. Every since i've been very very susceptible to wet paint.

Emergency job in Morgan city Louisiana

I drove by that shop the other day (missed my turn and did a U turn in their parking lot). Looked like a normal vape shop and they are becoming pretty common in that area. Let us know how it is as i'm in that area often for work. -
I have gotten probably 20 orders from fast tech. The problems i have had (when they sent me wrong batteries or they were rejected by HK post ) have been promptly refunded. That being said the batteries are not great quality. The rubberizing they put on them comes off very very easy and they rarely last me more than a few months of use. On a side note both the official joytechs i bought from a local B&M (with the joytech logo on bottom) failed within 3 months too. Maybe it's because i'm so hard on my batteries.

Just a thought on the whole FDA possibility thing
subnuclear replied to loneranger721981's topic in General Vaping Discussion
They only extract nicotine from tobacco plants because it's higher concentrations. Nicotine is found in many other plants too. http://abouttesting.testcountry.com/2010/06/6-common-food-with-nicotine-content.html So basically saying nicotine is a tobacco product is not entirely correct. It's just our cheapest and most abundant source. -
1 year anniversary since i started vaping YAY!! (and in 1.5 weeks 1 year since smoking). Thank god for e cigs. i feel so much better.

My mom just got a sore in her mouth (first one after a year of vaping) and she thinks it's from the juice she tried. I then politely reminded her she ate spaghetti the night before and it was most likely a allergic reaction to the tomato sauce (oh man it sucks being allergic to so many foods( i inherited that from her)).

Not all of their supply are knockoffs. Most actually aren't. I think he just did a bulk order on the USB chargers that were knock offs. They mentioned they had a lot of returns on the joyetech branded ones. I dunno. Not a fan of his juice either so i'll just stick with other resources. The rudeness of the staff bothered me more than anything. I was putting one of his buisness cards in each starter kit i sold offshore (since i'm not really a vendor just trying to get people to vape). Now the only buisness card that goes in my kits is mtbaker. edit: on a side note if your a vendor and want me to add your buisness cards to my starter kits feel free to PM me and i'll give you my addy so you can send them to me. sorta free advertising for you. no need to send me anything other than buisness cards
-
well if nothing else this post above let me know of a smoke shop selling vapor only a couple of miles away from me. Might be worth checking it out. edit: scratch that. Shop devoted to Herb acessories. I refuse to patronize such establishments
-
mtbaker has become my go to source for fuild also. I resell the fluids offshore (very limited supplies) so i order probably 100 to 200 dollars per month of fluid from them. The only one i couldn't stand was a freebie they sent me. (straight into the trash it went lol)

Well i went to a local B&M (actually 40m away but last time it was a decent experience so i decided to go back). first thing i didn't like is that he didn't open till 12noon. I can handle that though his buisness he can do as he chooses. So i walked in at 2 minutes till noon and was told i had to leave the establishment and wait outside till exactly noon. I can't explain how upset i was at this point. Started off with a bad taste in my mouth. Then at noon they opened the door back up and let folks in. At this point i had to "TAKE A NUMBER" (literally). I was pretty upset at this point but then when i went to purchase what i came for (USB Chargers) i found out they are now selling the cheap knock offs i can get from china at 60cents each for 5 dollars. Last time i was there i was able to purchase joyetech branded chargers and that was why i had driven 40 miles out of my way for them. My take away from this is from now on i'm strictly an online purchaser for the e cigg supplies. Guess i'll go ahead and make a bulk order for chargers from china and hope i eventually sell enough starter kits offshore to compensate having to buy in bulk.

Did anyone catch the e-cig story on NPR the other day?
subnuclear replied to Sweatervest13's topic in General Vape News
Same, I bought it to smoke indoors. I figured if i quit great, if i don't i haven't really lost anything. Turns out smoking is nasty nasty and vaping helped me realize that. I didn't even finish my cigs i had on hand (nor did my mom) we still between us have almost a carton in the house sitting around getting staler and staler. i should probably get off my butt and throw them away lol. -
It's a good thing the media didn't hear about this
subnuclear replied to spydre's topic in General Vape News
It's funny you mention leaving the analogs out. My parents were both smokers and from the age of 5 i was stealing their analogs and sneaking off for cigs with friends. at age 6 i bought my first can of Hawkens tobacco. It was very common for children to have access to the analog stuff back in the day. If there were children around my house i would definately keep the stuff out of reach it's just too dangerous and they don't understand those dangers. When the kiddo's come over for holidays etc i lock up my cabinets (nicotine and gun) and then lock the room they are in. The kids getting ahold of something like that can destroy many many lives. Being an adult means accepting responsibility for the things in your house. Therefore LOCK it up and hide the key! -
Do You Keep Your E-Cig Next To The Bed When You Sleep?
subnuclear replied to DarthVaper's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
I have to wear a CPAP at night while sleeping. Sadly even with a humidifier it dries me out pretty badly so it's common for me to wake up either to re moisten my mouth and throat or because i've developed a leak ( My pressure is pretty high at 19). So i stop the machine take off the mask and start to moisten. Naturally i reach over and get a fix of nicotine when i do this. Before i wore the cpap i kept it in bed with me because i woke up 10 to 20 times per night gasping for breath. so each time i woke up i'd reach over and grab the nic stick and fell all better lol. the joys of having a big bed and sleeping alone is that i can store all kinds of things on the bed next to me while sleeping. Sometimes i think the big bed might have been a mistake. After serving as a submariner in the military and now working offshore i only use 1/5 of my bed for sleeping. I don't roll over to the other portion of my bed. If it wasn't for turning my mattresses the other portion of my bed would be like new lol. -
EU plans tougher tobacco restrictions on e-cigarettes
subnuclear replied to DragonGunner's topic in General Vape News
The devices are designed to replicate smoking behaviour without the use of tobacco. They turn nicotine and other chemicals into a vapour that is inhaled. This statement was in that "news" story. Do journalist take a class in miss leading the public? I mean technically the statement is true but the connotation is that the "chemicals" are bad for you. Sorry that statement just stuck with me and upsets me a little bit because the thoughts that went through my mind when i read it fell for it even knowing better. I honestly had to pause a second and think about it. -
yes. I clicked on it and the page was blank and it prompted me to download something to read it. ok i clicked it again and the pictures revealed. Last two times they were the red x in upper left corner. Sorry for the bad post.

my joytech chargers have overcharge protection built in to them. The wall wort you are showing is a voltage converter (AC to DC) and yes it also has overcharge protection built in. Just make sure that when you buy a charger it has overcharge protection. The circuit for overcharge protection is quite small and yes it can fail open and remove your overcharge protection but failures can happen anywhere any time even in the wall wort. Look at all the money invested into the space shuttles, all the safety, testing etc provided. Look at the nuclear plants in Japan with multiple redundancy safety measures. Failures can happen but by design the USB chargers you get with your batteries are safe and have protection built in. Using Lithium ION batteries it's absolutely required else battery damage would occur with the first or second charging if you don't catch it right away after fully charged. Lithium Ion batteries are awesome batteries but they have some major weaknesses. They can not be fully discharged ( part of why your battery turns itself off when it gets too low voltage (even the ego t,c series do this). Once fully discharged a Lithium Ion battery is scrap. overcharging (like with any battery) can produce gassing (production of h2 gas) which is explosive at quite low concentrations (this is why people who work on battery systems always use brass non sparking tools). On the plus side lithium ion batteries have huge cycle lifes (the number of times they can be recharged) (relatively speaking) and do not gain battery memory like some other styles.

is it posted anywhere i don't have to download a program to read it? I don't like randomly downloading things to my computer.

The down side of properly steeped juice...
subnuclear replied to Havamal's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
I have found that i prefer all of my liquids steeped if i have the time. I keep them all in my desk cabinet. The first week or two i leave the lid off and shake them daily (with lid on of course). I have a sign off posted on my cabinet to make sure i don't miss a day of shaking. 95% of my liquids i find terrible when i receive them but quite good after a minimum of 4 or 5 days of steeping. I have come across the rare few that were pretty awesome straight out of the mail box.
