spydre got a reaction from HawaiiVapestah in Bump when you get something in vape mail.
I literally heard it for the first time on South Park the other day. Then the oldest confirmed there are girls on campus that speak that way. *rolls eyes* When did speaking English become the hallmark of "old" people?

Okay, I'm gonna put it in mail, 'cause I didn't buy it myself, it was HANDED to me. Hubby came home yesterday with a couple of HANDFULS of coils. They were out of 5 packs, so I think (hope) they charged him 5 pack prices for all the individual coils he bought. I haven't counted them. It was very sweet of him, but I forgot I didn't tell him I switched back to 2.5 ohm coils, and he got ALL THOSE COILS with 1.8 resistance! Since I was fairly certain that many of my troubles with the MVP the other night were coil related, he got me a whole bunch for Christmas, and then gave me like five initially.....then gave me the rest. <3

Got my MVP. Wasn't stalking the mail carrier, and the dog didn't alert us to her presence - probably because he was stalking the turkey being cooked, and then eaten, but it had to have come before 6 pm, despite leaving the Post office an hour late, because while we were eating, right by the window the mailbox is closest to, didn't hear the mailbox close, much less a Priority Mail Flat Rate Shipping Box hit the inside of the mailbox.
Incidentally, I now know if I ever have to mail a device or something back to anyone, I can use a LOT less bubble wrap. It was in this $5.00 shipping box, so plenty of room around it, and it was just in a sort of envelope of bubble wrap, not bubble wrap stuffed into every corner of the package, like I've done twice now.
Think I'm gonna see if my mom can/will take me and get me three packages of coils down in East Alton. Like I said, most of the coils I have in tanks right now are recycled, and even though most of them are higher ohms, I don't know how good they all are, and I want to get brand new coils in these tanks.

Wait, it's an AW 18650....and you're calling THAT a clone, is it a clone of an AW 18650? I'm confused.....

Pretty, Uma. So that's the name brand, not the clone, then?

Does finding something you thought you lost count? You know that KPT mini 2 that I thought I lost? I found it in the depths of (hell) my purse today. I didn't think to look in my purse on that day that I misplaced it, because everything was either in my jacket, or in my bag.

That is simply the base. Aand its not two extra coils. You get two coils, period. So one initial coil, in back up coil.
Nice on the bottles! I prefer those.
Brian Carter, how much does Sweet Vapes charge for delivery?

Wow, how are all these people getting coils from Proteus?

Awwww, I won't be getting vape mail for a while. I think everything I need to buy soon, we need from the local store (juice).

spydre reacted to Tam in Getting weird side effects from new juice
Sorry, without doing some serious testing I doubt there's any way anyone on a forum could tell you what's causing your symptoms. If you want to do a test yourself, you might get some of the juice you've always used and customize it to a higher VG level to match the juice that's giving you problems. If you get the same symptoms, I'd say it's the PG ratio. If not, then it's probably just the juice and you should buy from a different vendor. I would go with the juice you always use for a few days until the original symptoms go away then start your experiment. If the symptoms continue, I'd go see the doctor, it might not be the juice at all and could be that you're coming down with something else.

spydre reacted to DenverDave in What's the story with high wattage mods?
I am relatively new to vaping, my current favorite set up is a K box mini 75W TC with a Sence Herakles Plus tank .4ohm Clapton coil.
I have been looking at other mods out there and don't understand why someone would buy a mod that goes up to 300w , 200w or even 100w for that matter. Mine goes to 75w and I never run it at even close to that high power. With a .4 coil I keep min set at about 27w. Any higher and it starts to taste burnt and the vape is hot. I have tried different coils and tanks (Kanger top tank sun ohm, Crown 2, Nautilus mini) and the hottest I have ever run my was around 50w. What's the use for these hi wattage output mods?
I know this is a noob question and appreciate the input.

spydre reacted to Tam in Still burnt
Also, when you changed the coil, did you also rinse out your tank and fill with new juice? If you burnt the wick on the old coil, chances are good that the juice caught the burnt taste and it's still there. More info is needed like @Adversarious1 said.

I can't legally sell the juice I make, but I can take donations to help offset my cost, I can't help the donations I get are more than I invest.

The last piece of the puzzle. I have ordered my first batch of flavors. Blahahahahahaha

spydre got a reaction from KarynRH in Hot Coil/Tank Question
I think you'll find that going the variable voltage or wattage route will truly make your flavors come alive. The people in my family that have tried vaping, the only ones that actually quit smoking and vaping worked for were the people that got off the stick battery and went variable.

spydre reacted to KarynRH in Hot Coil/Tank Question
Thanks, Tam! I'll definitely check out other coils to see which one works best for me. I may end up going the variable route but for the moment, I'll see if I what I've got works well once I start using it correctly.

spydre reacted to Tam in Hot Coil/Tank Question
Looks like you're being well cared for so I'll just add one thing. Might think about trying a variable voltage/variable wattage mod? There are some that are easy to use and you get to lower or raise the power level to match the resistance in your coil. I'm also a mouth to lung hitter and frequently chain vape. The one thing I do not like is warm or hot vapor so I use a 1.8 ohm coil at anything from 9.4W to 10.7W depending on how old the coil is. As you use it, the coil will get gunked up. When that happens, you'll want to add a little more power to get the same draw from your tank. Just a thought.

spydre reacted to Christopher in Whats going on with purchasing e-liquid online?
To be honest I've never tried. Would I vape Vapor Talk e liquids after 4 years? Probably. Thing is, nobody, that I'm aware of, has actually done a study on the shelf life of eliquid. it's a long story but the two year mark was created in vaping's early days as a guideline. If the color had gone off though, I probably wouldn't vape it. (Personally)
The most important thing when storing e liquid is keeping it away from sunlight. Room temperature is usually adequate. Sunlight however will eventually break down the nicotine content.

spydre got a reaction from KarynRH in Hot Coil/Tank Question
I was going to make the same point as @Adversarious1. With a sub-ohm coil, you are pumping a lot of power through it, and a higher resistance won't give you as much higher, so it should cut back on the temperature of the tank a bit. You said you aren't looking for clouds, so loss of vapor isn't a problem for you, and you'll still a good taste out of it.
EDIT: My vapor talk siggy isn't working!

spydre reacted to Christopher in Whats going on with purchasing e-liquid online?
It probably wouldn't be impossible, but at the very least you couldn't buy it from any vape based store. (It's not worth the fines/risk for most)
I think if your determined enough, well, you can buy just about anything on the internet. But generally speaking, it will become much more difficult and less readily available. There are at least 4 stores that are linked to this forum fairly often that I know plan to bow out in 2018 (end). They are some of our competitors but it pains me to see them go. I'd rather a business leave because of crappy decision making or the free market at work, not because of some ridiculous, makes absolutely zero sense legislation.
