  1. Picked up a new Evod to replace the black one that died - of course I replaced it with a black one. Picked up some new 618 in 16 mg nic this time, instead of 18, and got some Hot Chocolate flavored juice. Not sure how they made it, but the "hot" is part of the flavor - you know so it tastes like, well, chocolate that's hot? Because well, it's a totally different flavor than, say, this company's milk chocolate. Heck, right now, I still can't properly taste the milk chocolate flavored juice, (that reminds me, I need to call my neuro about the whole things aren't tasting right since I had the seizures, or at least the first vape I remember after the seizures). But I can definitely taste the Hot Chocolate, well, I can only assume I'm tasting it right. Edit: Great job 3Rut!
  2. I don't know about a Vamo, but on my Zmax, for 2.2 ohm heads, I've read anywhere from 1.6 ohms to 2.4. With my 2.5 ohm box, the highest reading out of the box I've seen on that was 2.8, never paid attention to how low the 2.5's went.
  3. Well, see, it's all relative. I dropped it like, a week ago or so. The first time I noticed anything iffy with the button was maybe yesterday? And absolutely nothing's happened to it after the first week I had it. Hang on, lemme check my dates, yeah, the only bumps or falls happened in the first week, nothing since several days before my seizures (I double checked with hubby to make sure I wasn't holding the APV when I went into a seizure and maybe it went flying or anything like that, and he said, amazingly, no, but from what I remember of Tuesday, he was also discouraging me from vaping when possible after I had the second seizure because when my brain feels skippy (like I'm gonna have a seizure, or like there may be some seizure type waves going around my brain). But since before the seizure, I've been careful not to get into circumstances where I'll drop it, just in case I seize again (yes, that means if it doesn't fit in the pocket of the pants I'm wearing at the time, I carry my purse with me room to room right now until we know that I'm done seizing for this time period). Hubby thinks I just need to start pushing harder - it's very possible that with the MS, I'm not always cognizant of the amount of force I'm pushing the button with, that I may not be using enough, or pushing at the correct angle, or whatever.
  4. Okay, the last day or two, maybe just one day, I'm not sure, sometimes when I push the button on my Zmax, it doesn't fire it up. Has happened with a couple different tanks, so I know it's not the coil. I'm wondering could be caused by me dropping it, or is the button just bad, and how can I figure out which one it is? I mean, I don't want to contact the vendor and work on getting it exchanged if they are just going to get it, discover it's from me dropping it or something, and charge me $75 for the replacement. And for the record, according to hubby, it was not in my hand during any of my three seizures, so it didn't go flying. It's only been dropped a couple times, and that's just normal dropping, not flying out of my hand. Like, getting knocked off my desk.
  5. Okay, Tam, you brought it up - should I assume that my KPT 2's and my Davide will eventually fail at some point as well, since Patricia's Vivi Nova died, and since my Evod died as well? Or with the KPT 2's and the Davides, are they considered "rebuildable", so all you have to worry about is the coil/wick assembly? I know I asked this in the VIP forum, but I figure more people will see this question here.
  6. If you don't mind me asking, what resistance coils are you using to be able to run at seven Watts without burning the juice?
  7. What you could do is order the mod itself from Fastech, but then go to someplace like RTD Vapors (someplace stateside) to order the batteries. Or on the other hand, see what kind of price Discount Vapers is running. I just wouldn't want to pay for shipping from China if I didn't have to - or wait that long for it, I'm impatient, it's hard enough for me to wait a week for some of my juice orders (*ahem* Vape Dudes). I personally like my Sigeli Zmax, and it's both eGo and 510 threaded. But at DV it's $75 for version 3 (telescoping). DV has the Smoketek Zmax for $70, but it's not as heavy duty as the Sigeli, from everything that I've seen. Hubby has a Provari, but that is 510, it's, I think, even twice what my Zmax cost.
  8. If you want to avoid shipping from China, what I did was order from Discount Vapers. Didn't have any problems with anything getting shipped to me (I got the Sigeli from DV, and all my KPT 2's, and a couple drip tips). Got it in two days, priority mail. Got the batteries from RTD Vapor - AW brand batteries, and they are in PA, got it in two days again, and paid $12 per every 2000 mah 18650 battery. Everything came the same day, despite ordering it from two different sources. Good timing!
  9. I like being able to adjust the wattage - ie, control the amount of power going through my juice. I like being able to control how much heat it gets, it can change the flavor, or bring the flavor out more, it seems to me.
  10. Oh, and yeah, I tried changing the coil in the Evod just to be sure, yup, done for. At least it seems that way.
  11. Um, wow. WOW. I have absolutely NO MEMORY of making these posts Tuesday. I'm surprised my hubby even let me sit at the computer after the second seizure Tuesday. I have a few vague memories during the day, just flashes really of coming into awareness after a seizure, or being at the hospital, or, well, okay, I have about three minute span of time I can remember pretty well from Tuesday evening, but the rest of the day just kind of hidden behind my scrambled brains for the day. I don't know why I don't remember Wednesday, maybe there was still some seizure activity going on in my brain waves, and that's why I can't retrieve the memories. I should probably ask my doctor. BTW, Mom is home now, they managed to harvest a vein from my mom's groin on her other leg to do the femoral bypass with. I should say thank goodness she's home. Except for a week and a half, the past month she's been in the hospital, and her most recent roommate in the hospital was - well, when her roommate was at home, she'd been taking a lot of Ativan, but they wouldn't give it to her at the hospital until after about 36 hours when they finally gave her (the roommate) a shot of Vitamin Haldol.
  12. The only reason I'm mentioning what I'm using - the Sigeli Zmax V3 telescopic with the 18650 battery - is because you vape about like I do. I would go through a 900 mah battery in about 4 - 5 hours sometimes before I got my APV. I HAD to have three stick batteries while I was still using them so I could have one charging, one being used, and one resting. The Sigeli is more than you want to spend, I'm assuming - it was $70. But an 18650 battery lasts me generally about 24 hours - well, 18 - 24 hours. So, no matter which APV you settle on, decide on the biggest battery life you can get! It comes in handy!
  13. You're so welcome for the hugs. Like I said, I was in need of it, so you got it. :P Heck, my 18 year old came home from college to do laundry on an overnight visit, and I made him give me a hug, and I held on tight. Ha ha, he insisted on seeing my mom on his laundry visit home this weekend - she just got out of the hospital from femoral bypass surgery, but didn't get any closer to her than the couch, my poor mom didn't even get a hug from him. And he never called her this ENTIRE time she was in the hospital (close to a month). But he made sure he got to see her, lol.
  14. This is the first time I've EVER had more than one seizure in a day - well, except the first time the seizures came out, I had a couple of petite mal seizures in the hours leading up to when I had the my first grand mal seizure, ever, but we didn't find out about those until after the fact, and that was back when I was 16. And not only did I have more than one, but I had THREE. So yeah, my brain is scrambled a bit. Well, a lot a bit. I can't remember hardly anything from either Tuesday or Wednesday, and just a bit of Thursday. So my mom says it makes sense that my taste could be screwed up, as it all processes through my brain, and my brain got right scrambled three times. The whole taste thing - I'm trying to get it through to my hubby that its NOT the same thing as the difficulty tasting I had before - I mean, from the first pull I remember taking any time Tuesday, until well, um, this morning, every juice tasted just about the same. Just slight differences, but not enough differences so that I can tell what I'm hitting without knowing (currently, I'm back on 618, but today I managed to get adventurous and tried out french vanilla tobacco (still can't fully taste that, but I'm not getting thwacked with tobacco taste like I was before the seizure, so I'm pretty sure this is post seizure brain scrambling causing this). I'm SOOOO unused to this much scrambling (never having had more than one at a time before except for the petite mal seizures leading up to my first grand mal seizure when I was 16, that I didn't find out about what was EVIDENTLY petite mal seizures until I came back to school after being in the hospital over the weekend and hearing friends' stories of me "spacing out" in class towards the end of that day. I remember very, very little of Tuesday, the day this all went down. I remember talking to hubby while I was recovering from each of the first two seizures - snatches of those convos. Then I vaguely remember the ER, but ironically, my most clear memory of Tuesday was, ironically, calling a dinner order in to Pizza Hut - heck, I don't even remember the whole phone call, just making it - and then getting the food from the delivery driver off my front porch. I remember getting my food onto my plate, and maybe taking 1 bite. I don't know if I DO remember a "after" convo after my "dinner" seizure, or if my brain is filling it in for me, but taking my first bite of that pasta was my last clear memory of Tuesday. Wednesday, no seizures, but I only remember five minutes from the day - my mother in law sitting me up on the couch upstairs in her house watching TV on the heating pad. I at least remember Thursday, but I can't remember why on earth I was at the grocery store with my mother in law.....
  15. And for some ungodgly reason I'm vaping different, too.
  16. That's what I've got, and you're right, it's built like a tank. Pretty sure it was in my hand at the beginning of one of the seizures the other day.
  17. Patricia, *virtual hugs* (sorry, I need hugs, so everybody gets hugs!). I'm sorry about what's going on with your order. That sucks out loud.
  18. Okay, I've mentioned that before that I have MS. I also have epilepsy. My epilepsy was nice and controlled UNTIL the MS hit me six years ago. Now, as of this Spring, I was on three seizure medications - all of those medications being made to control either focal or partial type seizures, and I have generalized grand mal seizures that don't start in any particular area of my brain. So my NEW neuro has me in the process of switching meds. He started me on Lamictal, and then eliminated Vimpat, and then started working in titrating down the Trileptal - so I am at 300 mg of Trileptal a day (down from 1800) 3000 mg of Keppra XR per night, and I was at 200 mg of Lamictal. Well, Tuesday, getting the family up and moving out the door, and getting myself ready to go, because my mom was having femoral bypass surgery and my sister was going to give me a ride to the hospital in St. Louis. Well, the next thing I knew I was sitting on the couch, and hubby was telling me I had a seizure. *&#$))& So I cried. Really, I can't tell you much about Tuesday. I know shortly after that, I had another one, so hubby made me go to the hospital, but we know WHY it happened. And then that night, during dinner, I had another bloody one. So, my brains are scrambled enough, I hardly remember Tuesday or Wednesday at all. Hubby was sweet enough to bring my zmax in the car with us - I didn't notice it on the trip there, but I was able to use it on the trip back from the hospital. Something weird always happens with my tastebuds or something when I have seizures now. Well, I can't remember what my juices tasted like before the seizures. But I KNOW they didn't taste like this. It's like I'm not tasting them right anymore, they don't taste the same. They all taste incredibly similar, as a matter of fact - TO ME, they seem almost identical right now. The following flavors: 618 Honey Wood French Vanilla Tobacco (I couldn't vape that for a week prior to the seizure because the tobacco taste was too strong) Milk Chocolate No Bake Cake and Mint Chip Ice Cream Something in those seizures screwed up something, and I don't like it!
  19. Woo. Gotta bump for one thing. Hubby picked me up some just regular french vanilla juice instead of french vanilla tobacco. For about a week prior to this, I was having trouble vaping most of my juices.... then I had a seizure. And frickety frack. Well, I'll explain in my new post I'm going to make about it.
  20. Hehehe, he doesn't see it that way. I hope it tastes better than Better Vapes' Black Honey. It's real flowery and perfumy, and doesn't taste like honey at all, IMO, And I know this is a bump when you BUY something new thread, but well, this happened this week, and it's weird for me. Actually, no, I'm gonna make a new thread, 'cause this has totally freaked me out for more than one reason.
  21. I'm enjoying my KPT2 and not having any ariness problems with them. Then again, as I'll detail in another post, I had three seizures Tuesday, and by the time the second was done, I didn't remember what any of my draws were like. It's like starting over, wondering, "Is this right?" I hate seizures, and I've never had more than one in a day. I don't remember most of the last two days.
  22. Gotta say, if it weren't for the fact that I started having seizures yesterday (had three total), with the stress of my mom's bypass surgery, I probably would have been chain vaping. Heck, now I'm not even sure if I'm vaping the same way. Woke up after one seizure, found out that's what happened, and had my typical reaction - cry. Then I called into the doctor's before hours number, I had a seizure before the doctor's office got back to me. I just remember looking around and hubby telling me that was taking me to the hospital because I had another one. And then evidently last night I had ANOTHER ONE while we were eating dinner. Evidently I wasn't completely lucid when I called the doctor's office that time, but all I remember about that phone call was telling them what I thought was my cell phone number, and asking hubby if that was right because I didn't remember, because I was still in that fuzzy after period. I didn't even remember making that call - so I was totally freaked out when my neurologist's office called a few hours later to "see if I was any better". But with the seizure, not only could I not go to where Mom was having surgery, but hubby tried to get me to keep my distance from vaping as well. Well, in the car at least. He wasn't so worried about it at home.
  23. Hasn't always been tight, but it's always almost always been (unlike the others) to get to the point where I have to empty it out and clean it out.
