  1. Ha! I figured out the initial problem on my own. I wasn't looking at the SHIPPING address, so I went into my address, edited the shipping address, went to complete my order, and got a Gateway Error. Called the store, like, right then, and the person I spoke to said he just saw that pop up, and he put the order through just as I called.
  2. Don't suppose they are open tomorrow? Because I doubt they'd be open at this time.
  3. I'm sorry for posting this here, but I did the contact us thing, and it's been 24 hours or so, and I haven't heard anything. I'm trying to check out, and everything in the form is filled in. And every time I hit place order, I get an error telling me that country and first name are required fields. I went into my account, checked that my name was correct in there, everything checked out. That automatically popped up when I went to check out, since I was signed in, and I got the error. I tried typing everything in manually, still got the error. I'm sorry but this is frustrating me to no end. At first I thought it was a glitch, so I left it for a day or so before trying it again yesterday.
  4. Luckily, since the only way to turn a Sigelei Zmax V5 is to remove the battery (then you can put it back in, just not turn it on) there is a "display lock". Okay, at first I thought it locked the display so that if the button was pushed accidentally (like will happen in a purse) it doesn't do anything on the menu, or fire it up. Nope, it only keeps it from firing it up - which is good enough for me. When it's going to be in my purse for a significant amount of time - like at the doctor's office - to keep it from triggering. I just double check all the settings before I fire it up to make sure they haven't been changed. But with the VTR and the MVP, the buttons were stiff enough I didn't HAVE to worry about them accidentally getting triggered.
  5. I never bothered to turn it off when I went to bed - the power drain is exceptionally minimal. I never turned off my ego batteries, either, at night. They didn't get turned off until I stopped using them (now they belong to my sister). I never bothered to turn my MVP off, either. I think it's still sitting here powered on, with almost a full charge about six months after it's last use, other than to check resistance on a tank or something.
  6. As far as what Comp said about the wall wart and the cable, I second that it's spot on. Literally, in the space of two weeks, I went through TWO USB cables - the cable my Nexus had been fraying where it bends right above where you plug the cable into the tablet, and then when I started using ANOTHER USB cable - formerly a cell phone charging cable - it was evidently having the same problem even though the outer covering of the wire wasn't broken, it was getting wonky internally. Had the same thing happen with the USB cable that came with my external phone battery/charger almost immediately. But now everything is working fine. The MVP charger is currently only used for the short distance between my USB port on my PC and the external battery/charger, what is SUPPOSED to be the cable for Galaxy 4 is charging my tablet (only because of cord length) and my SO (who taught me never throw anything tech related away, you might need it again) unearthed another USB cable, and rather than using THAT for my tablet, because the cord is so short, it's charging my phone, since my phone can sit on top of the desk near the power strip, and the tablet goes on my desk surface (one of those old computer hutch desks). To whomever said 4 - 6 hours to charge the MVP? There's no way if you are using the recommended maH charger or higher. I was using a charger with the recommended maH, and if I charged shortly after the light turned red, or even until it stopped working because of low voltage, it took an hour and half, maybe two hours to completely charge. Just about comparable to how long it takes to charge an 18650, maybe a bit longer.
  7. Thanks, Brian. I'm going to see if I can get to B&M this week in the area that sells both of them, check the resistance on getting the drip tip on and off, maybe compare the old and the new as far as the drip tip goes - if the factory drip tips are anything like mine was when I got it, it's a deal breaker, because of increased looseness I have with it now - with the factory drip tip or other drip tips, although there is more resistance pulling a drip tip manufactured somewhere else, like the ones I got from Empire Mods (love those, BTW). But if there is no difference between the two if you operate the second one in single coil mode. Ideally, if I go with a Davide, I'd love to be able to find the larger (well, longer) glass tube that is SUPPOSED to available to increase the capacity, but I can't find it anywhere, so far. Was THINKING about the Aspire Vivi Nova S, which is a BVC, but frankly, trying a new tank, with the more expensive vertical coild, for just an extra 1/2 a ml isn't worth it, even if the tank is only $9.00 @ Sweet Vapes Starre, how fast you go through coils will GREATLY depend on what juice you are using. The rule of thumb is the sweeter the juice, the quicker you will go through coils because they get gunked up. While I LOVED the VT Poppin' Pineapple, I burned through coils in nothing flat with that juice. And I could tell it was going to happen. Not long before the coil would just up and stop working, the resistance reading would go all funky - like telling me there was a resistance of anywhere from 3 - 5 ohms (really), and then soon, if I didn't change the coil soon enough, the coil would just completely stop working - wouldn't get any of the other signs that the coil needed to be replaced, like if the taste changes, although I would get the situation where the vape lacked any power or oomph behind it....that was another signal the coil was going out.
  8. Is it bad that I hate the Steelers just because I DESPISE Big Ben with a passion?
  9. Brian, just wondering, if you are using the new Aspire Davides - the dual coils with a single coil, is it any different from an original Davide? Any better or worse? I'm just trying to figure out what I'm going to do here, if I'm going to try another Davide tank, try a full sized Nautilus (although god, the cost of those coils will HURT - I had to run to a B&M for Kanger coils today, and thanks to B&M mark up prices, paid $20 for what they package as a 10 pack (packaged that way themselves, and I think they are knock offs to boot; I should have just taken the 5 pack for $10, but I didn't find out the price until the guy was ringing me up - he didn't know and as he was ringing me up asked another guy - and then ordered another one or two 5 packs off 101vape.com where it's something like $5 a pack and $2 shipping). Since you have both, I just wanted your opinion. The B&M I went to today (the only one in the area that's open on Sundays, and the only one that's not completely out of our way except for the massively overpriced one (because they pay 4 grand for rent because they rented a huge space - used to be a UPS store - on mall property, and they aren't using half of it, I don't think). One of my juice flavors I get there for a semi-reasonable price, but that's generally the only reason I go in there. There are a bunch of cloud chasers in there constantly, and opening the door was like walking into a fog bank today, since there were about six of them sitting around a table rebuilding coils. And when I asked him about the Nautilus (which they only had the dual coil version of, not the single coil), one of the first advantages he listed was vapor production. GAH! Vapor gets on certain members of my family's nerves (kids and some others who don't smoke, or use e-cigs) and I'm not a cloud chaser, I could care less about vapor production, as long as I get my nic and my flavor I'm good.
  10. As far as this goes, I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here, because I have a family member who is severely asthmatic, and the chemical make up of certain scented products sets off her lungs, especially if she's in a bad way already. Most hospitals already have policies prohibiting employees, or at least employees who have patient contact from wearing perfume/cologne scented body wash, lotion, etc., for just that reason. This family member literally had to kick two hospital employees - one a nurse, and one, a respiratory tech of people - out of her hospital room because the nurse was wearing perfume and the RT was wearing scented lotion that was pretty much literally shutting her lungs down. So I see two sides of it. Just letting you know WHY the hospital may have made that policy change. OR they could have found that some of the employees switched to e-cigs during working hours so they could pop right outside to get their nic fix on break rather than leaving hospital property.
  11. Brian, I actually just use the Davide beauty ring with the KPT 2s as well. Its the very same ring that comes with the 2s. At least, the one I'm currently using came out of a KPT package - I always used the one from the Davide package before, never bothered pulling the ones out of the KPT packages, then stopped using it when I got the VTR because it didn't really fit well. When I got the Zmax, turns out I put the beauty ring away and I didn't think to look there, so I pulled this one out of the KPT package.
  12. Brian, they sell both single and dual coil versions of the Nautilus, and the mini is a single coil. I'm not really a dual coil person. At least the one dual coil I tried, the vape was very warm - I mean I could feel the heat of the vape, where even if I have a single coil tuned to the 1.6 or 1.8 resistance the vape isn't hot like that. I may try out another original Davide. Took me a just a couple of minutes of searching before I found a couple of places that stock the original single coil version in addition to the Aspire BDC version. Most places just sell the dual coil version now. My only hesitation with that is the drip tip. Maybe the fitting wasn't machined well on mine, but now that a year and half has gone by, the drip tip comes out VERY easily. As in, I've been vaping while walking, and ended up with the drip tip in my mouth when the Davide is not, just from the normal motion of walking - which I don't have that problem with the drip tips on the KPT, and other 510 drip tips are just as loose. Even though I don't make a habit out of removing the drip tip, it's almost like the fitting inside the top has been worn down.
  13. I've seen many people here recommending a Nautilus Aspire, or a mini one, over the Kanger ProTanks. My question - since I've been out of the look around at different tanks game for a while, why is that? Okay, I get that the big tank holds double what the PT2 does, and the mini holds about .5 ml less than a ProTank or Davide, but if I were to switch from a ProTank to the Aspire, if I'm not going to going the rebuilding route, what's the advantage other than size? And why on earth are the coils twice as much as ProTank coils?
  14. I second everything he said. Write down every formula, and on what didn't work, note WHY you think it didn't work, and - if you know - what could be done to improve it. It could be that the manufacturer you used for one particular flavor makes a taste you don't like, while another manufacturer's version of the same flavor is more, let's say palatable. I ran into this when I was trying to find a cheaper alternative (and bigger bottles)to the VT Poppin' Pineapple. The pineapple base flavor, I THINK is a different manufacturer from almost all that I've come across. I say almost, because I've only tried a few, but pineapple is one of the base flavors in Cactus Juice, and it doesn't taste foul like the flavoring some other places do, in my mind. So, don't be afraid to try different flavor manufacturers, either, before you give up on a flavor. But definitely keep track of both the victories and the misses. Then you can vape the victories while fixing the misses. My SO has some unflavored, because he's trying to cut expenses, and he heard that it tastes a bit like, well, smoking analogs - Marlboros, but I don't think that just unflavored lasted him too long. He went back to the 618 (which, I have to admit, is INCREDIBLY cheap in large quantities, well, it's cheaper than ANY B&M in the area, and more in line with online prices, I think). Although, the 618 I gave him, he used the unflavored to cut it down to his preferred nic level. Wow, I've wandered WAY far afield. You'll have to get used to that from me. I really have no desire to get into DIY juice, even though now I'm spending more on juice than I did on the ultra cheap analogs we were smoking the last few years, because my tasting is messed up due to certain circumstances - so it may taste great to someone else, but it might be "off" for me. Heck, for DAYS after this last coil change, my juice in one of my tanks tasted burned - same thing when I changed the coil on the other tank/flavor. Then one day it mysteriously cleared up. The problem wasn't a burnt coil or juice, it was me.
  15. Coming back to this, I have agree with everyone else on shifting to a bottom coil tank. But once you start getting the burning with every hit on a tank, do you empty it out and try with fresh juice or just switch the coil? Because it could be burning the juice, and then you are just putting a fresh coil/wick assembly into burned juice.
  16. I've had some flavors, one in particular, that went through coils in nothing flat. Great juice, LOVED the flavor, but it darn near ATE through coils. And with that juice, for some reason, when the coil went bad, well, RIGHT before it went bad, it would sort of weaken a bit - you know, like the power behind the vape weakened or something, but sometimes not. But more often than not, those coils just stopped DEAD. Using it fine one minute, the next it's not firing on ANY device (I have my Sigelei Zmax, a VTR, an MVP and a Twist right here that I check tanks/coils out on if they are acting odd or strange on one device I'll check it with any of my back up device - the Zmax is my main device now, though). But Bebop is right, too, about taking the tank apart and cleaning everything. Well, if it's possible to screw something up, I can do it. I've burned silica wicks twice in one day before, and the only solution was at the very least, dumping the "burned" juice out and replacing the juice and coil, but the results were better when I just cleaned the whole thing. Although, I didn't do a vodka soak, like I would on a tank that I'm emptying a flavor out of of, I just washed it in hot soapy water, and it doesn't take long to air dry. BUT, I also wouldn't compare the taste from hers to yours. The only way you'll get the same taste is if you are using the exact same juice, same nic level, same pg/vg balance, same resistance, same device, same tank, and the same settings. Just the difference in taste between my ProTank and my Kayfun 3.1, even with the same resistance on the coil makes a HUGE difference in taste. The juice will never taste the same out of two different tanks, even if everything else is identical.
  17. I started off by getting different colored glass - and of course, keeping a list. But they only have so many colors of glass, and my blue glass broke, and I had to replace it with clear glass, plus I had a couple other clear glass KPT2s as well. I haven't gotten around to cleaning out all my different colored tanks, and putting each of the three juices in different tanks - but I also have about 4, I think, different drip tips that I had ordered. Well, I think that's down to three now, because oddly enough, at Wal-Mart, got out of the car, took my Zmax out of my purse to take a hit on the way to the store, and the stupid drip tip came off (one of my favorites) and rolled who the heck knows. Anyway, I had one of those very same mix ups happen to me today. Or maybe it was last night. I've been having trouble tasting one of my juices, for days and days and days it tasted burned, it was horrid, and since I am ALMOST out of Cactus Juice (maybe 5 mls left, that won't last a day) and I'm waiting on my order, I was looking to see if still had anything in tanks that I could stand to vape anymore. Well, the drip tips on the Cactus Juice tank and the Smurfs Blood tank got mixed up. I KNOW that when I washed out the smurfs blood tank and refilled it last night it had the stainless steel looking drip tip on it, and the grey drip tip was on the Cactus Juice. I didn't notice until today that the drip tips got switched when I was messing around last night - and my taste buds are so messed up right now, I ALMOST couldn't tell the difference. I had to open up each tank, get a good whiff of the juice in the tank, and then put a drop of juice on my finger and see which one it smelled like. Looking at the color of the juice wouldn't help me either, because the juices are ALMOST the same color. Edit: Did I mention I have a running list? I had so many tanks going at one time, I had to. But right now, the list is just grey drip tip - Smurfs Blood; Stainless drip tip, Cactus Juice; Davide, Honey Wood; Kayfun 3.1, Cactus Juice.
  18. Dirty socks, joejoe? Japanese organic cotton is what we have here, too. Can't remember where my SO get it - mail order - but he was telling me about some vendor - either a local one or an online one, buying the stuff, repackaging generally a small amount of the cotton and charging an incredible mark up on it - like more than he paid for a full sized order, these people were charging for just a little bit. I can't remember how much though. I'm still a little gunshy about the switch to cotton, though. Partially, I guess, because he has to be available to rebuild it, so it can't be my "rely on" tank. Well, that, and I vape when I'm reading sort of half laying down in bed, so the tank's no where near vertical in that situation, so that's not the optimal operating conditions - but so far, my Cactus Juice tastes sooo much better in there than a Pro Tank.
  19. I have some questions about this tank, but I'll make another thread, Tam.
  20. ^^ What Tam said. Don't depend on your mod to read the resistance from your coil - could be a problem with the coil, not with the DNA 30 board. You have a separate tester?
  21. Didn't Proteus build one or two of those a while back?
  22. I tend to agree with this, but I've seen where steeping has actually benefited juices GREATLY. EC Blends juices are pretty much hack until they've steeped for several weeks - at least in my experience. They've all been pretty flavorless when I've gotten them until steeped. I've HEARD from a few people reviewing Boba's that steeping made all the difference in the world for them, but my bottle didn't need steeped at all (but I can't remember if I bought it in a store or if I mail ordered it - two stores here locally carry it) and it STILL tastes the same 6 - 9 months later. The two local stores that I've bought at that make their own juice don't require steeping, and the sites I order from don't specify that steeping is required. Granted, the 618 I had in my case for about nine months before I gave it to my SO got nice and strong, but yeah, I would imagine any juice sitting in a cool dark place for six months would. It's not like I had the cap off and was shaking it every day. It was literally in my vape case (essentially, a tackle box, but it looks nicer) under my desk all that time. TO THE OP: The vendors like to say that steeping allows the "many" flavors in the mixes to fully "marry" and set and mature and whatever. I'm not convinced that they can't make a juice that doesn't need to sit for more than a month after I buy it before it's vapable. With Cactus Juice, from Juice Mafia, I don't know if the juice is made to order like some online shops do it or if they make big batches and it's sitting around, but with my other flavor - Smurfs Blood - the one that I get from a local B&M, I generally get it within a week of it being mixed because they can't hold onto the lower nicotine bottles as long because they don't make as many of them, and haven't had any trouble opening the bottle up as soon as I get home and vaping it right then. Same with the vape shop we started at - and that my SO still gets his juice from. You go in, tell them which flavor you want, and they mix it up in the back right then (that's where we got the 618 that had been in my "vape box" for so long that I gave to him) - but darn, you don't want to let their Inferno steep. My SO left Inferno in a Pro Tank for months....after he stopped using the tank. I had to replace every o-ring on that tank, scrub every part of the tank a few times, a couple of vodka soaks, and a soak in boiling water for good measure. But at least now I have extra o-rings for the Pro Tanks now, since you can't buy them as just one o ring for each spot, you have buy like a pack of five.
  23. Well, about a week or so ago, once I got my needletip bottles in, he broke it down, put it back together, it filled beautifully using the needletip bottle, filled it with about twice as much juice - with more room to go - than I'd been able to by top filling it. Finished that tank, or rather, got it where the juice level was right around even with the bottom of the window, went to fill it again, after filling it halfway (to about the level I could fill it to when I top filled it), it stopped evacuating air we tried to fill it through the fill hole. So it has to get taken apart and the holes cleaned out again, although I don't know what could have happened in the space of just a couple of hours when it was hanging around my neck in the pouch on the lanyard. Have to wait until my new juice order comes in, though. I have less than 5 ml of Cactus Juice on hand, and wow, do I suck through juice when I'm vaping out of that thing. Well, then again, the amount I'm vaping period has skyrocketed, it's just it goes even quicker vaping from the Kayfun. But when he rebuilds it, he's taking the silica coil out, and putting cotton in. How do you know when it's time to replace the cotton, BTW?
  24. I thought most of the times with cigars, you don't lung inhale? At least most don't. That's why the incidence of lung cancer is so very low, while all the other cancer risks are the same. Every person I've talked to, including the owners of the area's best cigar shop, said not to lung inhale a cigar.
