If you could vape enough caffeine and absorb it into your bloodstream in the same amount of time that it takes to drink a cup of coffee, my SO would be all over it. I mean, granted, he likes the taste of coffee, and he misses it when he's off it, but even Mountain Dew doesn't have the same amount of caffeine as coffee, which is why he drinks coffee in the morning...and for most of the day. Plus, if you could vape that much caffeine and have it absorb that quickly, you'd be setting up for caffeine overdose.

Well, like MVP the trigger was right in the middle of the front, you almost have to trigger it with your thumb. Is there, I don't know, more airflow that allows it to go up to a higher wattage level? And about how long does it take to charge. That's one of the things I hated about the MVP was having to use something else while it charged (I've got an ego twist, or I guess I could beg my SO to let me use the mini Provari for that purpose. That's one thing I like about the devices that have replaceable batteries....but I certainly don't have any 4400 mAh batteries.

No, in fact I haven't even seen her. She's been busy with the death of her ex husband - her son's father - and dealing with all his possessions and helping her son deal with estate and make final arrangements (no funeral services were held, it's a long, complicated story), and she just now got a chance to breathe. But now I have one of those "Have I got a story to tell you," about how horrid landlords can be. I noticed in the pictures that it's a box mod, but it looks like it's a finger trigger, like the VTR. Is it heavy like the VTR, is it, um, what's the phrasing I'm looking for - how is it on the hands?

Hi, all! I'm looking for a new APV, VW, as the button my Zmax broke (evidently this is caused by overtightening the telescopic battery tube, and while I was careful at the beginning, I became not so careful and it's difficult to deal with, if not impossible), and I'm temporarily using my husband's mini-Provari until I can get a new mod. First off, what is the deal with everything being box mods and/or 50 watts anymore???? I had another neurological incident (turns out MS lesions in the frontal lobe cause this) and can barely get over 5 watts on the Provari or my Zmax (when the button works) before it tastes burnt to me in Protank 2. What kind of tanks/coils do they need to use, and how expensive are they (and more importantly, can they be single coil?)? My sister JUST started vaping, and she's using an arctic tank with an istick 50w I think, cranked all the way to 50 watts. Then again, she's got the owners of a vape shop practically providing her with tanks, juices, coils, etc., at the most they charge her what it costs them, and she thinks the world rises and sets with them (I really don't, and I don't like their shop). So what I'm looking for - VW, must be sturdy (frankly, the lanyard I got for the Zmax that the mini Provari fits in (although it's a bit short and the fabric of the pouch covers up the fire button, so I just push the button through the fabric) has been a lifesaver and kept me from dropping it all the time. My concern with a box mod, and this is why I don't go back to my MVP is the strain on my hands - first off, I'd have to be able to look at it in a local B&M and figure out if I could even operate it comfortably, but the trigger can't be as hard as the MVP (well, okay, I can use the MVP some days if I turn it and use my finger to activate the trigger, but sometime in the year that I stopped using it, for some reason it's not always reading coil resistance right. Having the same problem with my VTR, but I REALLY can't use the VTR because of the triggering and cramping in my hands. Basically, I'm looking for recommendations for good, variable wattage mod that starts at 5 watts (preferably - the 5 watts thing just started in the last 5 weeks, but I don't know if I'll be able to climb back above that benchmark, thank you MS, (lesions in that area screw with smell and taste - so it wasn't the seizures that screwed me up before like I thought, but the MS - which pushed the seizures to be more difficult to control), since it started in a flare, I may be able to regain some of it, and I may not. But I know new juices that I started in the middle of the flare I can't taste as well now (which is why I started the new juices in the first place, I could barely taste my other juices). But I'm getting off topic. Variable wattage mods. Is the Vamo still reliable and sturdy? I seem to recall seeing the Tesla was discontinued. Any other suggestions? Okay, two quick things. First, I'm not opposed to a box mod as long as it's easy on the hands. Secondly, I did manage to find Tesla on sale at Stormy's, I'm not sure where else, though.

When you say burn, do you mean it's burning your throat/harsh throat hit, or the juice is burning? And what, exactly, do you mean by you can't vape them now? For different people, it means different things.

Now I'm trying to picture what lings are, and whether it's dirty or not, lol.

LOL, jeff. Gads, I've missed you guys. Then again, that's the one I have pulled up, and the one I've had bookmarked since the July two years ago (used to be on these forums, too, once upon a time). I just use an ohms law calculator when I have to deal with voltage and double check with the chart, but lately, yeah, I'm not going to pushing any burn limits.

Thanks, everyone. Kit, oh, I definitely know that flavors and brand are subjective - like I said, after this MS flare, I can barely taste my former go-to flavors, one flavor that I just about HATED is, well, it's not GREAT, but it's vapable for me now, and I had to find new flavors - but since I found them in the middle of the flare, my taste has diminished, more so on one of them, but not as much as my old flavors. They are still good to me, and enjoyable, whereas some of my old flavors, it was like sucking on nicotine tinged air.

I agree with Tam. Like she said, you have to take into account the "regular" coils, such as the Kanger or smoke type coils, the um, beginner type tanks that come with the starter kits, silica wicks, organic cotton wicks, and then the newer, higher wattage tanks. And then there's personal taste. As older members here might remember, when I have a neurological event, my vape tastes change - not only can I generally no longer taste my normal juice and I have to find a new one, but the temperature I can vape at goes down. Right now I'm lucky if on a Kanger tank I go above five watts without it tasting burned (actually, lower - 1.9 ohm coil, 3 volts right now), when I started out vaping at eight watts and sometimes higher, thanks to this latest event that I'm coming out of.
-
But plenty of people, like myself (and I've been vaping for two years) are still using the regular Kanger Pro Tanks, or evods, or davides, or starter clearos or tanks. The people on the forums, I believe, are the more "advanced" users of the technology, by and large, and not necessarily the rule. Plenty of people happy with their little ego batteries and little evod tanks, even if they have to fill them a million times a day.

I think they are, especially for newbies. But another thing to remember is that with ENOUGH airflow (and some tanks are made with the proper airflow to avoid burning the juice), you aren't going to burn your juice. My sister's vaping at 50 watts right now, but she has a tank that was built for it - I think it's the HOrizon Arctic. I think, depending on your coil selection, you can go up to 100 watts with that tank, DEPENDING ON your choice of APV's - such as it's not suggested that you use it for high wattage on a standard APV, but one that's built to go in that range. My sis has, I think, the iStick 50 Watt.

My husband and I are looking to get into DIY flavoring due to a recent substantial cut in income. Getting the unflavored and flavoring it ourselves would be much cheaper than ordering from Juice Mafia (my juice) or getting 618 from the local B&M (which, while they are incredibly affordable and along the lines of Juice Mafia, we have to drive all the way out to Jerseyville to get, and it's still really more than we can afford, I think. Especially considering, if you remember, the problems I had with tasting flavors, I would have after seizure, having to switch flavors completely (that happened again, but not after a seizure, after a prolonged MS flare). So I'm wondering what the best brands of flavorings are out there - or does it vary by the flavor, and where to get them? Tina

Throat burning & tightness of chest from e liquid
spydre replied to ColtonHodge's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
Oh, I had a lot more than six or 7 hits on a cigarette. Unless I was preoccupied, like gaming, or reading. I, well, smoked it, I didn't let it sit and burn. -

What FXRich said. The mg nic is mg PER OUNCE, not total per bottle. Were you a smoker before? And, just curious, where were you able to find a seller that sells 3 mg of nic? Is it a brick and mortar ship that just mixed up between a 6 mg and 0 nic bottle? If that's the way they did it, it may not have been mixed well, and in that first bottle, you may have gotten more, or less nic than the 3, since, unless they sell 7.5 ml bottles, they would have had to split a 15 ml bottle of each strength. (this is in regards to your first bottle about the 3 mg). But more to the point, what you are experiencing COULD be from doubling your nic intake - although that usually results in a "head rush", or dizziness, and nausea rather than burning in your throat and shortness of breath. -
Being a vet I found this awesome

This sounds like an INCREDIBLY worthy cause. I know that oh, 22 years ago (lemme do the math, no 23 years ago), one couldn't smoke in Basic Training - but that didn't stop a person from lighting up after Basic was over, but that didn't stop a person from lighting up after Basic was over. I'll mention this program to the vape shops I frequent. BTW, I LOVE the brand name of the juices - a take off of MREs. -
Thanks for the info, Earthling. I've heard that the majority of the carcinogens in tobacco cigarettes, including the tobacco itself, are not actually carcinogenic unless burned.

I had forgotten about finding that "sweet spot" on the bottles. This last bottle I went through, I hit that sweet spot right off, and didn't have any difficulties. That last bottle, though, the one I was using when I wrote this post, or rather, the one I had just FINISHED, that was the killer and I was having to my SO fill my tanks for me.

Study done shows using an e-cig with juice can damage healthy cells
spydre replied to spydre's topic in General Vape News
Like someone above said, it looks like exposed healthy airway tissue to the juice itself, not to vapor. Then again, considering the ingredients that we KNOW are in juice, we could already be at risk, because we expose, at the very least, the inside of our mouth, and possibly our throats to it. I would have more, I don't know, faith in this study if it had been a larger sample, a control group, and exposing the tissue to vapor, not to the juice. We don't drink the damn juice. -
Come t think of it, maybe this person is assuming that because the juices are sweet, that automatically means our teeth are being bathed in sugar, or whatever. Still very strange.

Bump when you get something in vape mail.

Forgot to post that I I received my cobalt blue regular Davide the other day. Haven't decided what to put in it to compare the flavor between how it tastes in KPT2 and that. -
Funny, I don't THINK he vaped.
-
ANY o-rings NEED to be replaced. Not possibly, NEED TO. My SO had Inferno sitting in a KPT forever before he gave the tank to me. Several washings/scrubbings, soaks in vodka, boiling, and all that was left was to replace every single o-ring - anything of absorbent plastic - the smell won't come out - even the o-ring on the drip tip.
-
Why are there only four VT juices that come in a 30 ml size? There used to be more, I'm pretty sure, and then it dropped down to four. Why can't you make more of the flavors 30 mls? Second question - why are the 10 ml bottles so stiff? Having trouble with my hands again, have to have my SO fill my tank for me sometimes.
