  1. REally? I haven't heard about a lot of problems with KPT2, and a lot of members here swear by them. Not saying every one is a good one, though. It happens. I have um, six currently in use, and if I ever get the Pluid smell out of the one my SO gave me, I'll have seven, but I'll likely have to replace ALL the o-rings and seals on it before I can use it - that Pluid flavor really sticks (three washes, nearly a 24 hour vodka soak, and three more washes and everything still smells like Pluid, even the glass, that has no rubber on it). Frankly, if it were an original KPT and didn't come apart like like this, I would have pitched it after pulling it out of the vodka, but I'm willing to work on it a bit longer before writing it off, since it can come apart, I can take the rings and seals out and replace them and whatnot. But yeah, if it was an evod, I would have pitched it.
  2. Where is it that you live in Southern MO? In laws vacation all the time in Branson, another family member used live in Neosho and Joplin, and I have a butt ton of family in Jefferson City, the surrounding area, and all the way out west into KC.
  3. I actually think it may have something to do with the adhesive I use, or my method of hitting the vaporizor with my teeth in. I did find that by moving the drip tip to where the vape hits the side of my tongue I can taste it better when my teeth are in.
  4. No problem. I enjoy looking this stuff up when I have the time, 'cause I learn stuff, too. And yeah, I'm not mechanically inclined, either, so I won't be going with with an RBA any time in the near future, since I was a legal secretary in another life. I know how to use a soldering iron well enough to um, let's see, melt solder and collect it in a cut out portion of a kid's Boy Scout, what was it, Pinewood Derby car, so it would be heavy enough? Because if it was too light, it wouldn't go fast enough, if the weight was in the wrong place, it wouldn't go fast enough, yada yada yada, so I soldered lead into that empty rectangle in the wood, lol. And that was um, I think eight years ago? We were in this house, but the boys weren't in Scouts much longer after we moved here. And it was when we had the old desk, and only one computer.
  5. Okay, the Microstick is essentially the same measurements as the MVP, but 1/2 the height. As for as a tank - basically, you would have to either use a 510 to ego threaded adapter, or use, as far as I can tell, only a mini vivi nova with a 510 thread on it. I wasn't really able to find any other 510 threaded tank that would fit with the Microstick measurements, and I'm not sure that you can use the adapter with the microstick the way it's set up, so it would be that or rebuildables, it looks like. Genesis style?
  6. What about an MVP? I don't know about guy's pockets, but it fits in my jeans pockets fine, generally, though the top of my evod sticks out a little bit. Haven't tried it with dress pants. It's a box mod, so no funny looking shapes, IMO. Depending on what battery you have, you want to be careful about leaving a tank on it when you put it in a pocket.
  7. Wait - you said the Provari is DIFFICULT because it fits in your slacks pocket?
  8. ^^ That's what I was going to say.
  9. Long story about how it came about, but he won't take any of the tanks he gave me back. And I can always use another glass tank.
  10. BTW, where would I find o rings to replace the ones in the top and bottom ring? You know the ones I mean, right? I mean, I'm pretty sure we have o rings to replace the one on the drip tip.
  11. I rather than ditching it, I may keep it around for when I test out mints, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to tell the difference between the menthol that was already there, and the new mint going in. But I guess it's the sitting in the tank, eating at the plastic and glue that makes mints/menthol tank crackers?
  12. Sometimes I miss driving, I really do. And then I look at all the other idiots out there on the road. Plus epilepsy, seizures, nope, can't drive. We currently have a Ford Fusion.
  13. I know menthol is a tank cracker, but what about dripping attys? I didn't even think about it when I dripped this menthol sample into one of my dripping Boges, and it may be a write off anyway because I can't get the menthol taste out, but I haven't tried very hard. So what kind of effect do menthol/mint/traditional tank crackers have on dripping attys - not RDAs, but your regular purchased ones?
  14. But I don't WANT Pluid. Especially not 20 mg nic when I'm down to 8 - 12 mg nic on most juices. The only ones I'm not are leftover from before I dropped nic levels, lol. And since they are from before October, obviously I don't vape them much! Well, no, two of them I'm vaping more than I was....almost out of one, need to replace.
  15. Well, it's soaking in vodka overnight. Good thing I don't NEED a larger tank yet, but it would be nic. It's only been soaking an hour or so, but I have a feeling we'll have to replace the o rings. Just a hunch.
  16. Christmas came early - well, part of Christmas. Technically not early, it was nearly 1 am (an hour ago). Hubby got me two five packs of 2.5 ohm Kanger coils, plus a Smoketech Winder VV (what Better Vapes, our go to B&M carries) battery for when my MVP is charging. None too soon on the coils - my 2.2 coil in my 555 tank died literally 15 minutes after he gave me that.
  17. Boy can it. Inevitably, when someone wants a taste of what I'm vaping, or I ask him to taste it for some reason, the flavor he's vaping is Very Berry. And he uses his drip tip from whatever tank he has (or maybe he switches the same drip tip for all his cartos). Whatever, the Very Berry residue on his drip tip o rings gets Very Berry where my drip tip goes, and it takes a while for the flavor to go away. He doesn't believe me.
  18. Um, how did you get one BEFORE they started mass producing them - however, aren't they already mass producing them? I absolutely LOVE the KPT2, but it's all a matter of personal opinion. I've never tried the original KPT, though. I came into glass tanks when the Davide came out and went from the Davide to the KPT2.
  19. Okay, hubby "gifted" me with his KPT2 that had Pluid sitting in it for a couple of months. The coil I pitched straightaway because 1) I was pretty sure the coil was already dead; and 2) I knew there would be no getting the Pluid flavor out of the wicks. What I'm left with, after washing, is a perfectly fine (as far as I know) KPT2 that after washing three times STILL smells like Pluid. Am I going to have to soak the whole thing in Vodka?
  20. I have to agree with everything Rut said in this. I tested just in an Evod - actually, looking at it, my roughest evod that I have around, but it was the only one I had free at the moment, and I was raring to dive into it after it had steeped. Luckily, there was a bit of a shipping delay, so SOME of the steeping was done during shipping. The Spiced Apple flavor I posted about a few weeks ago that I was looking for? This is it, nail on the head, exactly! It's everything I could have hoped for. No harshness at all. REally, saying it's exactly what I've been looking for is THE BEST thing I can say. I can't comment on the green apples like Rut did because I couldn't even tell that they were green apples, but it's the best apple vape I've had, and I've tried quite a few! I have agree on the Cinnamon Stick, too (12 mg). Between a bad coil, and the device, I wasn't getting much taste, so I dripped like someone else here who had tried it, and it came alive. Then, of course, I changed my coil, and it was much better in the mini pro tank, but still not as good as dripping....except my dripper for sweets is now biting the dust (tried dripping the cinnamon again today and didn't get nearly as good of a result, so a new dripper is on my list of things to get next month, well, two). Truthfully, and I hope mine wasn't the only family that did this, but this reminds me of when we used to keep a shaker filled with cinnamon and sugar mixed up when I was a kid to sprinkle on buttered toast. The cinnamon/sugar mixture is it, exactly. I plan on adding it to a few liquids to see if it can jazz them up in any way, and leaving the rest of the sample (still have 1/2 the sample left) to vape on it's own goodness. This is definitely one that if money wasn't an issue, if I didn't have to share a vaping budget with another person, much less live in an income limited household, I would be adding to my mix.
  21. Patricia, it's Troy that has three jobs. He has to support all four of those furbabies! Bebop, while you are answering her question, I have the EXACT same situation happening with one of my KPT2s - on my eGos, my MVP, with or without the collar. On hubby's provari, without the collar (obviously), it was so tight he couldn't draw at all. And yes, I can draw through it just fine when it's not connected to a device. This has gone on through um, four, five coils? See, at first, I thought it was the coils, even though I could blow through the coils just fine before I put them in, and I even cleaned the tank, thinking something might have gotten in the center tube.
  22. It's standard for anyone to have you send it back at your expense. When my Zmax malfunctioned, when I sent it back to Discount Vapers, my original shipping was refunded along with my purchase price. Not so when I sent my MVP back to Coast2Coast. So it depends on the company. For what you are sending, a padded mailer should be fine. I get about half of my juice orders in padded mailers - even when they come priority.
  23. Did you create your own, or order already "created" flavors?
  24. Hanging out at the PC listening to Christmas music on the headphones now.
  25. Aren't Camels stronger than Marlboros? Anyway, glad you seem to be on the road to figuring it out.
