First, I really, really like this tank, after, I think a week of use, maybe less. The one issue I'm having is whenever I tilt the mod, not much even, the tank leaks from the air vents - at least that's where it appears to come from. And not a little seepage, but quite a bit of juice. We've taken the tank apart - even the internal part that you have to deal with a screw to deal with - and that helped for a few hours, but by the time I went to bed that night (the tank disassembly was, um, Friday, I think) it was leaking again, so I need to know if others are having problems with this, or what could be causing it, do you think? My other question is, I read someplace that the .8 ohm coil is a kanthal coil - which would be better for me since I use this flavor at least in wattage mode, although I don't mind using the SS. Other than the leaking, my only gripe about the tank is it came with a metal drip tip, not delrin, so the first time I used it, I burned the heck out of, somehow, the INSIDE of my lip. Blistered up one whole side of the inside of my lip and everything. Best thing I can figure is that the inside of my lip contacts the drip tip when I vape, but I never noticed it before I got to the temperatures that would make the drip tips hot - my nautilus has a metal drip tip on it and the drip tip doesn't get hot because it's running less than half the power through it on my SVD.

I like my Cool Fire IV TC model - although as of yet, I've found the temperature control to be too hot, I must be a wuss, so I would be satisfied with a non-tc model as well.

What are you paying for your favorite juice?

@cany, ah, so you won't be so affected by all of this crap. PG and VG are used for other things, so they aren't being taken off the market. You'll just sort of ride the wave. @smacksy, I wish that's what Better Vapes decided to do. Maybe they felt they were pushing the line enough by charging $1.00 for unlimited taste testing, but I don't see how charging $1 for what used to be free would be a problem, like the shop you mentioned there. -
Woo hoo! I know at one point when you lowered prices, free shipping was only for $50 or more. I'll be pming you about prices on the Crown 2 coils, probably. Edit: Whoops, just realized the refills are packs of 4, not five, so you are already cheaper than sweet-vapes, just not myvaporstore.com, but I KNOW they charge for shipping unless your order is something like $70.

Cany, what are you going to do when you can't make your own anymore? -
So Christopher (my brother's name, BTW, so I'm fond of it, good name), how much is the VT store charging for shipping now? If your shipping charge is the same as sweet-vapes, I may just have to try to price match from you.

When we buy actual juice from Better Vapes, we get the punch card, too, but when the regulations hit, instead of a free 22 ml bottle, it will be half off a 22 ml bottle, because it can't be free anymore. Stupid FDA. Freaking drug sales reps are allowed to give free samples of drugs to docs, who then pass them on to their patients, but we can't get a free bottle of juice - even reviewers. -

Well, I'm close to 30 ml a week. -

I should say, because I forgot, the juice that we just buy the flavoring from is a B&M. They were originally online only, but about a week after we started vaping, they opened their B&M store, lol. And you can get the flavoring in any size bottle that they sell juice in. So we get 120 ml of 618 flavoring, but only 30 ml of Inferno flavoring at a time because while they put the Inferno juice in glass bottles, they don't put the flavoring in glass bottles. But if we were to buy the JUICE from them, I think it's $8.99 for 22 ml, $12 for 31 ml, and I can't remember the rest of the size bottles, up to 250 ml. Juice Mafia was online - juicemafia.com. At one point in time I was getting juice from vaporbeast.com, but in the end, they were too expensive. They only carried 15 ml bottles, and I think it was 8.99 for 15 ml. Considering now I go through 50 + ml per month, the juice mafia prices were much better suited to my needs. I'm sorry, Christopher, I really liked the pineapple from the VT store, my budget just couldn't take it, considering how much juice I go through in a month (okay, I go through even more than 50 ml in a month now, I need to stop that). -

Well, we are kind of doing a sort of cheat on how much we pay for juice. The shop we buy these particular juices at sell not just the juices, but flavoring bottles - they'll sell you a bottle of the 618 flavoring, or the inferno flavoring, or whatever juice they make - you pay the same price for say 30 ml as you would for 30 ml of juice, or 22 ml, or whatever. Then we go home and mix it with nic and pg and vg. I think per 100 mls of finished juice, we use 8 mil of flavoring? I don't know if they are going to be able to do that once the PMTA rules hit, and I can't imagine they would get PMTAs for that, especially since you can tailor it to your own flavor - less peppermint, more cinnamon, etc. But, when I was getting juice from juice mafia, it was around $25 - 30 for 100 ml I think - 2 50 ml bottles. -
It came today!!! I'm so happy. I love it. I'm in love with it. Except, probably not going to use the iSub, maybe. Not sure yet. My SO thinks no, but if I want to vape more than one juice, that's the only other TC I have - I borrowed my husband's Herakles + for a while when I was using his IPV, but the coil is burned and he's out of coils. Only drawback is with the Crown 2, if I tip the mod quite a bit from vertical, or lay it down on it's side for any length of time, juice does leak out the air flow area. I'm hoping if I close off the airflow when I have to put it in my purse, if it gets horizontal, that will take care of it. I think my SO likes it, too, BTW. The size of it. BUT MY JUICE TASTES SO GOOD NOW!!!!! It hasn't tasted this good in a long time.

I got the Cool Fire IV TC, which comes with the iSub V tank, and then I got a Crown 2 tank. And I'm dancing in my seat because it's going to be delivered today. Shipping was weird on this one - it got the St. Louis sorting center Sunday night, but instead of being brought to Alton with the morning load, it wasn't brought to Alton until the afternoon yesterday. If it had been brought to Alton in the morning load, I would have had it yesterday. Weird.

It's all coming today....I'm really excited. Still unsure how I'll handle the charging aspect, but I figure I'll start vaping on passthrough when it gets yellow....I wanna jump up and down. I'll talk to Christopher about coils for the iSub v if I decide I like the tank. That's going to be my 618 tank. My main tank, Inferno, is going to be the Crown, because of the extra capacity and I go through a lot of it - I have a 6 - 7 ml tank in the Nautilus.
-
Right, I didn't even catch that. And I did end up ordering a Crown 2 for one of my tanks. Too bad you can't try tanks out like you can try devices and juices (if you pay $1). My other objection to nickel was the very low resistance. I wasn't ready to go down to a resistance of .2. I'll stay up at .5 right now.

Any and all information is helpful. Have you heard anything about titanium coils? Even though the other mods I looked at could operate on TC with titanium, I've only found one tank that I could find titanium coils on. If I could have found the titanium coils for the triton or for other tanks, I may have gone with the a different mod, since the mods I was looking at, at first, didn't take stainless, and I wasn't thrilled about nickel.
-
@FXRich, you mentioned that SS is the only coil that can be used in both modes? But my husband had an IPV 2 that didn't recognize stainless that he was letting me use with an old tank of his - I can't remember what kind, only that it leaked a lot because of his repeated drops bent some of the hardware. Anyway, I was vaping on wattage with whatever was in there just fine.
-
That would be an advantage for me as well, since I don't know which mode I'm going to be using - and it may be different from one juice to another. I know out of the ones I was looking at, things were quickly getting shot down because they didn't take SS, or they required two high drain batteries, which is something I didn't want to get into. I'm a little gun shy about nickle coils just because, and I don't know how truthful it is, a video I saw part of saying with nickle wire one is more prone to be inhaling the nickle than with the other wires, because of nickle's low melt point - but the melting point is still like 5 times or more what most people run at (over 2000 degrees F). So I don't know the veracity of that video. Tina

Thanks, Tam. I'll keep it in mind, especially considering getting coils for the iSub may be a pain and a half. So far, I've only found two places stateside that sell TC coils, but My Vapor Store, where I'm getting the package, and they don't sell them in packs, they see them as singles for $1.99 a piece, + shipping, BUT they sell them in all TC coils it comes in - SS, Ni200, and Titanium, as well as just the kanthal coils. The other site sells multipacks, but only Kanthal and nickle. I guess I'm picky?

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
spydre replied to blucavvy's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Just ordered today a cool fire IV TC, a Crown 2 tank, and the mod comes with an iSub V Vortex Edition tank. So excited to be buying new stuff again other than the same old boring coils! -
Well, I got my order in. It was partially determined by which mods could use stainless steel coils (out of my short list of mods), since all of my potential tanks used either SS or Nickle, so I went with the TC Cool Fire IV, and it came packaged with an iSub V - Vortex edition tank. That's actually going to be my back up tank, provided I like the Uwell Crown 2 that I ordered. Put my Inferno in the big Crown tank, and put the 618 in the iSub tank. Thanks, everyone.
